Abstract

Attendance is the documentation of presence and activity in institution. A software has been made to monitor the attendance using face recognition. The software uses camera to capture the image and works on any background color. The aim of this paper is to calculate its performance with sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy using Eigenface Algorithm and Principal Component Analysis (PCA) method. Face recognition in this paper is based on Eigenface algorithm, using pixel information from images captured by webcam. The image is represented using PCA method. The software is tested using different expressions and accessories in object’s face. The performance of the software indicates 73.33%sensitivity, 52.17% specificity, and 86.67% accuracy. The successful rate in identifying the face for distance testing is 70%, while successful rate of 85% is achieved for object wearing eyeglasses and veil (jilbab). Furthermore, the successful rate for various expression is 85.33%.

Abstract

Temperature is one of the physical quantities which are often used in control systems. The process of monitoring temperature in the form of a data logger is an important thing that is needed in the industry. This paper designs a wireless temperature data logger with multichannel input. Thermocouple is used as sensor input on this system. The results of this research indicate that the system is able to work wirelessly with a range of 300 meters until 800 m. Result of temperature measurement accuracy of the designed system is 99.419% or error temperature measurement against a reference temperature is 0.581%. Accuracy of voltage measurement towards Labview is 99.316% or error of 0.684%. The output file from data logger is file.tdms, which can be accessed by Microsoft Excel to be printed or processed further.

Abstract

Global Positioning System (GPS) is widely used in a variety of fields, including aircraft applications and rockets where speeds exceed standards. Signal simulators, which are relatively expensive, are required to test commercial GPS devices and GPS signal processing methods. The methodology for verifying GPS receiver specifications using a Software Defined Radio (SDR)-based simulator is described in this paper. Simulator tests are run in both static and dynamic modes. The test findings demonstrate that the system can measure altitude and speed, but only up to 50 km and 500 m/s, respectively, according to commercial GPS specifications. This simulator system can be used to evaluate future GPS processing algorithms in highly dynamic environments.

Abstract

Indonesia, as an archipelagic country, boasts abundant fishery resources. The effective development of these resources has the potential to yield sustainable benefits, contributing to the prosperity of its people. Maintaining water quality plays a pivotal role in advancing fish farming practices, hence the necessity for water quality analysis. This study endeavors to design and construct a control system tailored for freshwater fish aquariums, employing Fuzzy logic methods. This system incorporates pH, temperature, and total dissolved solid sensors, aiming to regulate the duration of the water pump and heater operation based on Fuzzy-derived decisions when the setpoint values for pH, temperature, and TDS are not met. Analysis of water quality measurements demonstrates the tool's capability to achieve a pH measurement accuracy of 99.17%, temperature accuracy of 99.10%, and TDS accuracy of 99.44%.

Abstract

PT. Banten Tour Mandiri is a tour and travel service provider, the need for internet use in companies is very much needed so that services in the service sector can be carried out comfortably and effectively. This study aims 1. To design a remote system using port knocking to monitor and supervise internet network access at PT. Banten Tour Mandiri. 2. Overseeing the internet network at PT. Banten Tour Mandiri. 3. Make it easier for companies to manage, supervise when using the existing internet network in the corporate environment. To develop the stability of the existing internet network, but there are several things that have not been considered and implemented, namely security and supervision of the internet network, it is necessary to have a network security system that simplifies security and supervision, by performing the Secure Shell (SSH) Port Security Design Port Knocking Method At PT. Banten Tour Mandiri. The results of this study show that the administrator has successfully performed remote access to the internet network server using the SSH port. Monitoring and management of internet network security can be done using a different PC located in the PT. Banten Tour Mandiri

Abstract

Game engine, which are often used by game developers, has software framework that facilitates their work on important tasks such as graphic design or 3D and 2D graphics rendering. This research uses game engine called 3D state game engine for visualize 6-DOF navigation system. The software is developed for visualize range of motion of the object by reading and processing the streaming data from navigation sensor (accelerometers and rate-gyroscope). The test result show that developed software can visualize the motion of the objects in 3D animation. Software can accept and process the data as text file that is transmited in real-time through serial port. IMU hardware with sofware can use through the calibration process first, and be given a filter, so that the better results can be obtained.

Abstract

INS algorithm is used to transform the body frame to the inertial frame of the rocket trajectory. The motion of rocket rotation is different from the air plane. The rocket has a faster motion and need a high speed computation. The pitch angle (θ) which is being greater than 90º, there will be a problem and it needs the Quaternion equation to solve the problem. In this study, the Quaternion parameters are always normalized with the same value at the time of initial initialization. The results of this study indicate that the calculation of body frame and inertial frames have similar results and showed accuracy between 0.2 - 1 meter. In the process algorithms in real-time INS will require a high-speed microprocessors to speed up the computing time on an embedded system payload.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a multisensor-based lightning strike zone detection device as an early warning system capable of identifying the risk level of lightning strikes in open areas in real time. The development specifically focuses on applying the Rolling Sphere Method to determine the boundaries between safe and hazardous zones based on open-space analysis. The sphere radius used in this method is processed into risk-zone calculation parameters, which are then implemented in a microcontroller system integrated with multisensors to monitor the user’s position and movement. The resulting zone mapping is visualized in the form of an ellipse illustrating a 50% lightning-strike probability within the safe area. The system provides automatic notifications through a smartphone when the user enters a hazardous zone (red zone), prompting immediate mitigation actions. Experimental results show that the device can accurately detect user movement and map risk zones with high precision. Thus, the proposed prototype has strong potential as an effective safety tool for reducing the risk of lightning-related injuries in open environments
