Abstract

Ulama regeneration through pesantren education has become a strategic agenda in responding to the crisis of religious authority and the challenges of the modern era. This study explores the model of ulama cadre development within the tafaqquh fi al-din framework in two pesantren in Indonesia, focusing on epistemological reconstruction, curriculum innovation, technology integration, and structural and cultural barriers. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection techniques include participant observation, in-depth interviews at Pesantren Gubuk Taqrib and Pesantren Nurul Falah in Bojonegoro, and document analysis, which were analyzed thematically. The results show that the concept of tafaqquh fi al-din has expanded its meaning from mere mastery of texts to the ability to contextualize religious knowledge with contemporary social realities. Curriculum innovation combines traditional methods such as sorogan and halaqah with modern pedagogical approaches such as project-based learning and scientific debate. Pesantren also utilizes digital technology to expand the reach of da'wah and strengthen Islamic literacy. However, challenges such as the perceived decline in the prestige of ulama, unclear state policies regarding pesantren, and a tendency toward epistemic closure hinder regeneration. This study emphasizes the importance of a new, post-traditional model of ulama: rooted in tradition, open to change, and capable of leading in a complex and pluralistic society.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the ideal strategic partnership model for implementing the Independent Learning Campus Internship (MBKM) program in higher education. Systematic and sustainable partnership management is crucial for optimally supporting the implementation of the MBKM program. The research approach employed was a descriptive qualitative one, utilising data collection techniques that included in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies. The results indicate that despite the existence of a basic MBKM implementation structure, challenges such as limited documentation, suboptimal training, and weak evaluation of collaboration remain significant obstacles. This study led to the development of a strategic partnership model comprising four main pillars: collaborative planning, institutional organisation, internship program implementation, and evaluation and sustainability of the collaboration. Two key components strengthen this model: enhancing the digitalisation system and fostering an ethical and inclusive partnership culture. The implementation of this model is expected to improve the effectiveness of collaboration, strengthen student competencies, and enhance the institution's reputation through sustainable and career-relevant partnerships.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze teachers' strategies in strengthening the values of religious moderation in PAI learning through the use of digital media, as well as to identify the challenges and their impacts on students' religious attitudes. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques include observing teaching and learning activities, conducting in-depth interviews with fifth and sixth-grade teachers and students, and documenting teaching materials and digital learning media. Data analysis is conducted descriptively through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The research results show that PAI teachers at MI Fattahul Huda have implemented various digital strategies to strengthen religious moderation, including thematic YouTube videos, interactive quizzes using Quizizz and Kahoot!, student digital projects on tolerance themes, the development of digital teaching materials, and practices of digital religious literacy. Teachers also use moments of religious and national holidays as a means to strengthen peaceful and inclusive Islamic values. These strategies have proven to enhance students' active participation, reinforce the understanding of tolerance values, and cultivate a critical attitude towards religious content on social media. Thus, digital media can serve as an effective tool for instilling values of religious moderation in a contextual and in-depth manner from an early age.

Abstract

Discovery learning offers a general concept that is claimed to improve the results of studying jurisprudence. This is because the objectives of learning fiqh align with the concepts of discovery learning. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. The results of this study are changes in students when the teacher applies the discovery learning model. The visible change is that students are more active in finding out, understanding, observing, and trying to construct concepts and can answer questions here as a stimulus—learning changes from teacher-oriented to student-oriented. In learning here, the role of students is more dominant. Learning is also more exciting and challenging, involving cognitive, psychomotor, and affective in students.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk pelatihan pembuatan teh bunga telang bagi ibu-ibu PKK Desa Tapelan, Kecamatan Ngraho, Kabupaten Bojonegoro. Tujuan kegiatan adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta dalam mengolah bunga telang (Clitoria ternatea) menjadi produk minuman herbal yang bernilai jual, sekaligus mendorong pengembangan ekonomi kreatif berbasis potensi lokal. Metode kegiatan meliputi tahap persiapan, penyampaian materi, demonstrasi, praktik langsung, serta evaluasi. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa peserta mampu memahami proses pengolahan bunga telang, mulai dari pemilihan bahan, pengeringan, penyeduhan, hingga pengemasan sederhana. Antusiasme dan partisipasi aktif peserta menjadi indikasi keberhasilan kegiatan, sekaligus membuka peluang untuk pengembangan usaha rumah tangga berbasis teh telang. Dengan demikian, pelatihan ini memberikan manfaat nyata bagi peningkatan keterampilan masyarakat serta berpotensi mendukung pemberdayaan ekonomi keluarga di Desa Tapelan.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the weakening quality of emotional interactions within modern families, which has led to an increase in psychological problems among children, such as anxiety, low self-esteem, and an inability to manage emotions. This condition highlights the importance of a family education model that does not merely emphasize cognitive aspects or discipline, but also prioritizes affection as a fundamental basis for children’s psychological well-being. This study employs a library research method by collecting, reviewing, and synthesizing various scientific literatures related to family education, child developmental psychology, theories of affection, and psychological well-being. Data analysis was conducted through content analysis to identify patterns, key concepts, and relationships among relevant variables. The results indicate that affection-based family education plays a significant role in shaping emotional stability, psychological resilience, and children’s moral and social development. Six main components were identified in this model, namely empathetic communication, psychological support, moral-emotional role modeling, consistent parental presence, non-violent parenting, and a safe and harmonious family environment. This model is proven to be relevant in addressing the challenges of modern families facing digital pressures, social changes, and increasing emotional needs of children. The implications of this research emphasize that parents need to enhance their literacy in affection-based parenting as a primary strategy for building children’s psychological well-being. In addition, the findings can serve as a reference for educators, counselors, and policymakers in designing more humane family education programs oriented toward children’s mental health. Thus, this study makes an important contribution to the development of a comprehensive and relevant family education model in the modern era.

Abstract

The limited speaking ability of students in learning Arabic at MTs Islahiyah Kalitidu indicates the need for an effective instructional method that supports oral communication skills. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Direct Method in enhancing students’ Arabic speaking proficiency, as well as to identify students’ responses and the challenges encountered during the learning process. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, with data gathered through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews with teachers and students, and documentation analysis. The results show that the Direct Method was applied by maximizing the use of Arabic as the primary medium of communication, minimizing translation, and encouraging vocabulary application in contextual situations. Repetition, role-playing, questioning techniques, and visual media were used to stimulate active student participation. Students demonstrated positive responses, supported by improvements in fluency, pronunciation, and confidence in speaking Arabic. Peer interaction also contributed to a more cooperative learning atmosphere. Despite these positive developments, several challenges were identified, including students’ limited vocabulary mastery, differences in proficiency levels, large class sizes, and limited learning facilities. However, adaptive strategies such as contextual learning, scaffolding techniques, and visual reinforcement helped mitigate these constraints. The study concludes that the Direct Method is effective in improving Arabic speaking skills when supported by competent teaching practices and adequate learning resources. Strengthening teacher professional development, integrating technology, and applying differentiated instruction are recommended to optimize the implementation of the Direct Method in Arabic language education

Abstract

Al-Qur'an as a source, guide, good news and warning and provide benefits for Muslims. In addition to giving goodness and glory to those who read it. If reading it can increase the faith and piety of Muslims. However, if you memorize your intention because of Allah SWT, you can make a noble deed. One of the memorization methods adjusts to the times, namely the pledge method. The pledge method means repeating continuously from short letters to long letters. This research uses descriptive qualitative type so that primary and secondary data are obtained. Primary data conducted observations and interviews with the institution. While secondary data obtained from literature studies from books, documents, internet and others. The results of this study are that the pledge method involves memory activity, repeating verses is easier, fluent and memory sticks more. The implementation of the pledge method is carried out in two stages, namely the preparation stage and the implementation stage of the pledge which can be done facing the teacher or individually. This pledge method is useful for facilitating memory, students so as not to hinder memorization of the Qur'an by means of intention for Allah and reading a lot and repeating memorization.
