Abstract

This study aimed at determining the effect of transformational leadership and principal managerial competence towards teachers’ performance at SD Negeri Ilir Timur II Palembang. The data in this study were collected through the distribution of questionnaires on the respondents. The results of questionnaires were analyzed by using multiple regression analysis through ttest, Ftest, and coefficient of determination test. The population in this study is all primary teachers from 20 SD Negeri in Ilir Timur II Palembang which consist of 405 teachers. The sample size of the population in this study is based on calculations using the Slovin formula and the sampling technique used is the convenience sampling technique. So, the sample in this study were 80 (eighty) respondents. The results showed that (1) transformational leadership partially have a positive and significant effect on teachers’ performance; (2) partial managerial competence has a positive and significant effect on teachers’ performance; and (3) transformational leadership and managerial competencies simultaneously affect teachers’ performance.

Abstract

Parents have an important role in shaping and developing the character of children. Therefore, the school should be able to create a good collaboration with parents in fostering the students’ characters. This study aimed at finding out how the school applied the strategy to strenghten the students’ character in maximizing the role of parents. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 62 of Palembang. The type of this research was qualitative descriptive research. The data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study suggested that the roles of parents in strenghtening the students’ characters were: (1) improving the characters’ value as part of the formulation of vision, mission and objectives of the institution which were implemented in daily lives. (2) maintaning the strong relationships in strengthening the students’ characters, (3) preparing the teachers who had high responsibility in doing their tasks for the success of the students, (4) creating the safe, comfortable and condusive condition which could stimulate character education, and maintaining the Islamic environment in worship, work and social interaction. The results of the implementation of the character building program in SD Negeri 62 Palembang were as follows: (1) learners were accustomed to say greetings, (2) students had tolerance and mutual respect among fellow students, (3) students were honest, (4) students were polite, (5) students were highly integrated, and (6) the students concerned on their environment.

Abstract

This study aimed at describing the leadership strategy of  women principal. This research was done in SD Negeri Kota Palembang 116. The approach used in this research was a case study. Results of the study in improving the quality of education in SD Negeri 116 Palembang include a good personal approach with all stakeholders of the school; planning the school with the greatest extent possible, analyze the challenges, barriers and opportunities in the future; establish good cooperation with all educators, empowering educational effort through cooperation, provide an opportunity to improve educators’ practices, and encourage the involvement of the educators on supporting the programs of the school. The results implied the teachers  to maximize the existing facilities and infrastructure to maximize the learning  process, and  the school has had a strong culture.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The aim of this research is to determine the influence of teacher pedagogical competence and learning facilities on student learning outcomes in economics subjects. Methodology: The research method used is a quantitative descriptive method. The population as subjects in this research were class XI students majoring in social sciences at high school. The sampling technique used in this research was proportional random sampling. The number of samples in this study was 127 respondents. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires and documentation. Data on pedagogical competence and student learning facilities were obtained from the results of distributing questionnaires with a Likert scale. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. Main Findings: Based on the research results, it can be concluded that there is a significant positive influence between pedagogical competence and learning facilities on learning outcomes (F calculated > F table or 14.996 > 3.07 at the 5% significance level) and the coefficient of determination is 19.5%. This means that the influence of pedagogical competence and learning facilities on student learning outcomes is 19.5%, while it is influenced by other factors at 80.5%. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this research is that it strengthens the theory about the magnitude of the influence of teacher pedagogical competence and learning facilities in determining student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of local content in Ma'arif school, with the formulation of the problem of analyzing the development of local content in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Makrifatul Ilmi. The subject of the study was Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Makrifatul Ilmi Bengkulu Selatan, with the strengthening of local content of Muhadhoroh and Tahfizul Qur'an. Qualitative research methods by digging up information from curriculum representatives and teachers who are directly involved in Tahfizul Qur'an and Muhadhoroh activities. Furthermore, it was analyzed from interview and observation data in descriptive form. The results of the Tahfizul Qur'an Research with class provisions from Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Makrifatul Ilmi have a target to complete memorization, and are carried out routinely every Monday to Saturday. The method of developing local content is to straighten the intention, murotal every morning, get used to leading prayers, hifdzul jadid, takrir method, murojaah qorib method, muroja'ah ba'id method, Al-Qira'ah Al-Musta'mirah method, in the muhadoroh program which is held every Saturday at 09.00 am until finished. This Muhadroh event is carried out with various events presented by the students, starting from social drama that raises Islamic stories, poetry to pantun, regional dances, Islamic dances, sholawat or hadroh, tilawah, da'wah, music and singing, from the appearance of the students will be assessed directly by the ustadz and ustadzah as a form of evaluation and appreciation. This research provides insight into the development of local content at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Makrifatul Ilmi South Bengkulu, especially in the Tahfizul Qur'an and Muhadhoroh programmes. Results show that these programmes not only focus on memorisation, but also develop students' speaking skills, creativity and spirituality. Suggested follow-ups include increased cooperation between teachers for more effective implementation strategies, training to optimise teaching methods, and parental and community involvement to strengthen religious culture and local wisdom.

Abstract

Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di Indonesia memainkan peran penting dalam membentuk karakter dan moral siswa. Namun, di tengah keberagaman budaya dan agama, diperlukan pendekatan yang lebih inklusif dan multikultural. Artikel ini membahas konsep, nilai, dan praktik pendidikan agama Islam multikultural di lingkungan madrasah. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana madrasah dapat mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai multikultural ke dalam kurikulum PAI untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang inklusif dan harmonis. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa penerapan pendidikan agama Islam multikultural dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang keragaman, toleransi, dan penghormatan terhadap perbedaan. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi bagi pendidik dan pembuat kebijakan untuk memperkuat praktik pendidikan multikultural dalam pendidikan agama Islam di madrasah.

Abstract

Nyeri dengan intensitas yang berat masih dirasakan sekitar 30% pasien pasca operasi akibat pemberian analgetik yang tidak optimal atau adekuat. Data World Health Organization (WHO) menunjukkan bahwa tatalaksana nyeri pada negara maju masih belum optimal dikarenakan masih terdapat sekitar 33% penduduk masih merasakan nyeri. Tingkat pengetahuan yang kurang dapat menjadi salah satu penyebab ketidakefektifan dari pemberian analgetik. Studi ini merupakan studi deskriptif secara cross-sectional dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan mahasiswa kedokteran mengenai profil farmakologi analgetik non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik total population sampling. Subyek studi ini ialah mahasiswa kedokteran Universitas Tarumanagara yang telah lulus blok sistem muskuloskeletal dengan jumlah subyek sebanyak 97 orang yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Data studi diambil dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang terdiri dari 30 pertanyaan yang meliputi: farmakokinetik, farmakodinamik, sediaan dan dosis obat, kontraindikasi, efek samping, dan interaksi obat. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas responden memiliki tingkat pengetahuan yang baik terhadap farmakokinetik NSAID (43,3%), farmakodinamik NSAID (42,3%), sediaan dan dosis NSAID (49,5%), serta kontraindikasi NSAID (45,4%). Responden memiliki tingkat pengetahuan yang kurang terhadap efek samping NSAID (52,6%), serta interaksi NSAID dengan obat lain (46,4%). Pada studi ini dapat disimpulkan secara keseluruhan bahwa responden memiliki tingkat pengetahuan yang kurang terhadap profil farmakologi obat analgetik NSAID.

Abstract

This study is aimed at exploring the mistreatment, violence and oppressions experienced by the Japanese American Issei women during from the beginning of their migration to the United States and how they adapt to live in the new neighborhood in a new country. This study especially investigates on the first generation of Japanese American women who crossed through the Trans-Atlantic Ocean for marrying the Japanese American men whom they never met before and known from picture sent from the US. Having their status changed as wives once they reached the American land, they have got unjust treatment from not only the men they would married but also from their new environment. In this research, the researcher analyzes the data through collecting from the work by employing the intersectional feminist theory. This study’s goal is to find how they settle their life in the new culture and how the migration influenced their life. This research analyzes the book The Buddha in the Attic by Julie Otsuka. The researcher chose this work because it contained the theme that have the concerns on what happened to the Japanese first women migrants and how they then settle and continue to live there with the identity of the Issei Japanese American women.

Abstract

Pancasila character education in Indonesian elementary schools faces significant challenges due to learning approaches that do not accommodate the diversity of multiple intelligences of students, thus potentially ignoring the unique potential of each child in internalizing Pancasila values. This study aims to develop a multiple intelligence-based civic education learning strategy to improve Pancasila character in elementary school students, with an emphasis on optimizing all dimensions of intelligence possessed by students. A systematic literature review method was used by analyzing articles indexed by Google Scholar, Science and Technology Index (SINTA), and SCOPUS on the themes of Pancasila, civic education, character education, and multiple intelligences. The results of the study indicate that the integration of multiple intelligence theory in Pancasila character learning can optimally improve the quality of internalization of national values, by adjusting pedagogical strategies to the diversity of student intelligence types such as linguistic, logical-mathematical, kinesthetic, musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, visual-spatial, and naturalist. The practical implications of this research provide guidance for educators to create an inclusive and equitable learning environment, so that each student can develop a humanist attitude and Pancasilaist character according to their respective intelligence potential, without anyone being left behind in the process of forming national character.
