<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the students understanding of mathematical concepts are still low. This study aims to determine whether students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying active learning strategy Type True Or False Statement better than students understanding of mathematical concepts with the application of conventional learning. This type of research is experimental, the research design pre eksperimental design : static group comparison. The population in this research is the students in grade VIII SMPN 27 Padang. Sampling was done by purposive sampling, with the consideration that both classes have an average that is similar to the decision classes VIII.2as eksperimental and VIII.3 as control. The instruments that are used in this study are studentsâ activity observation sheet and essay test. Based on the result of the study, it is found that increasing percentage in each meeting. Results of data analysis that the two classes are normally distributed and homogeneous samples and t test results obtained P-value=0,003 is less than α=0,05, so that hypothesis is approved. It can be concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying active learning strategy Type True Or False Statement VIII.2 grade better than students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying conventional learning models VIII.3 grade SMP 27 Padang]]>

<![CDATA[This research was background by student understanding of mathematical concept is still low. This matter seen at result learn class student mathematics of VII which enlist in class of VIII SMPN 1 Pulau Punjung School Year 2013 / 2014. He aim of this research model is to know the understanding of mathematical concept by applying model study with cooperative type NH accompanied by quiz better than student understanding of mathematical concept conventional study in class of VIII SMPN 1 Pulau Punjung. This type of this  research is experiment. Research with random sampling techniques. Population in this research is all class student of VIII SMPN 1 Pulau Punjung school year 2013 /2014 except class VIII1 representing preeminent class. The selected class of sampel is VIII4 as experiment class and of VIII5 as control class. Instrument used in this research is the tes of  understanding of mathematical concept. Form of tes the used is form of esai with reliabilitas test is r11=0,92. Technique analyse data  used in this test is t. According to result of data analysis known that both class of sampel have normal distribution and is not homogeneous at real level = 0,05. Result of hypothesis test obtained by t=3,73 bigger than ttable=1,23 hence hypothesis at this research is accepted. So that can be concluded that student  understanding of mathematical concept by applying model study with cooperative learning type NH accompanied by quiz better than student understanding of mathematical concept with conventional study in class of VIII SMPN 1 Pulau Punjung.]]>

<![CDATA[ This research did based on the studentsâ problem at grade VII SMPN 29 padang in learning mathemathics which make the students get overwhelmed in finishing the task if the teacher give different exercise with the example given by the student.The type of this research is experimental research in which the research subjects are chosen randomly. The sampling methods did randomly. There are two classes that become tha sample they are VII7 as exerimental class and VII6 as control class.The instrument used by the researche is quiz and mathematics concept comprehension test by using essay form with the reablility test is .the data analysis that is used is one side t test. Based on the result of data analysis it is known that both of sample classes is normal and homogen distribution in the real degree α = 0,05. the result of hypothesis testing got from P-value = 0,001 is lower than α = 0,05, therefore the hypothesis, in this research, is accepted]]>

<![CDATA[Background of the research is the understanding of mathematical concepts eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Talamau still low. This is because students are embarrassed to ask and collectively with teachers and students prefer to ask friends rather than to the teacher. This study aims to determine whether students understanding of mathematical concepts using peer tutors teaching handout accompanied a better understanding of mathematical concepts than students using conventional learning in class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Talamau. This type of research is experimental research. The study population was all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Talamau listed in the school year 2013/2014. Samples were VIII1 class as the experimental class and the control class VIII3. The research instrument was a final test, the reliability is 0.887. Based on the analysis of data obtained by the average student learning outcomes experimental class was 57.71 higher than the control class is 45.10. Data analysis was obtained  = 1.72 is greater than = 1.68. Thus, it can be concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concepts using peer tutors with teaching handouts better than students with an understanding of mathematical concepts using conventional learning in class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Talamau.]]>

<![CDATA[The background of this research by the students lack of understanding of mathematic concept and the low mathematics achievement of students of class IX SMP Negeri 3 Bonjol Kabupaten Pasaman. This study aims to determine whether students understanding of mathematic concept by applying cooperatif learning style type group investigation with using students work sheet better than students understanding of mathematic concept that apply to conventional teaching class IX SMP Negeri 3 Bonjol Kabupaten Pasaman. This type of reseach is experimental. Population is all students grade IX SMP Negeri 3 Bonjol Kabupaten Pasaman. Technique of random sampling IX.2 as experimental class and IX.1 as control class. Instrument used was the ultimate test with indicator of understanding the concept. Form used is the essay test was 8 items with a reliabiity of 0,86. Technique data analysis used was -test because data not homogeneity. Based on the hypothesis test obtained value = 2,48 and t = 0,17. So, tâ > t. So the hypotesis is accept at the 95% confidence level. So it is concluded that the students understanding of mathematic concept by applying cooperatif learning style type group investigation with using students work sheet better than students understanding of mathematic concept that apply to conventional teaching class IX SMP Negeri 3 Bonjol Kabupaten Pasaman.]]>

<![CDATA[This research is based by the lack of understanding of the mathematical concepts that lead to low student math achievement of studentâs. This research is aimed at knowing wheather the understanding of the mathematics concept of the students who are treated by used implementating cooperative learning methodâs Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) is better than understanding of the mathematics concepts of the students with conventional teaching class VIII SMPN 4 Lembah Melintang West Pasaman and to determine the effectiveness of application of the cooperative learning methodâs Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) in mathematics class VIII SMPN 4 Lembah Melintang West Pasaman. This type of research is experimental with random study design on the subject. The technique of data analysis used was the Mann-Whitney test with the help by MINITAB. Based on data analysis, it is known that both sample classes does not normal distribution and homogeneous distribution at α = 0,05. Hypothesis test result obtained probability value = 0,0199 is less than α = 0,05, so  the hypothesis is accepted. Consequently, it can be concluded that the understanding of the mathematics concept of the students who are treated by used implementing cooperative learning methodâs Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) is better than understanding of the mathematics concept of the students with conventional teaching class VIII SMPN 4 Lembah Melintang Kabupaten West Pasaman.]]>

<![CDATA[Background of this research the interest of students in learning mathematics is still less so the comprehension of mathematics concepts is low in VIII grade and it can be seen from math quiz point in VIII grade at SMPN 5 Padang academic year of 2013/2014. This research aimed to determine whether students comprehension of mathematics concepts by implementing cooperative learning type Numbered Heads Together using Comic better than conventional learning in VIII grade at SMPN5 Padang. This type of research is experimental research using design randomized trials on the subject. The research population was a VIII grade at SMPN 5 Padang academic year of 2013/2014 except class VIII1 and VIII2 because it has a different Minimum Completeness Criteria. Technique sample using randomly, using class VIII3 as experimental class and class VIII5 as control class. The research instrument was a test of comprehension of mathematics concepts using the reliability = 0.78. The data analysis technique used is the one side t test using MINITAB software. Based on the analysis of the data found that the two sample classes are normally distributed and homogeneous at significance level α = 0.05. Hypothesis test results obtained P - value = 0.000 is less than α , the research hypothesis is accepted. It can be concluded that the students comprehension of mathematics concepts by implementing cooperative learning Type Numbered Heads Together using Comic better than conventional learning in VIII grade at SMPN 5 Padang.]]>

<![CDATA[This research is backgrounded by the lack of understanding of mathematical concepts and students prefer to ask other students Students more quiet deep lawsuit handcuffing. This research aims to know is students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying active learning strategies Group to Group with LKS type better than student understanding of mathematical concepts by applying conventional learning. This research is experimental, with random designs on the subject. The population in this research were all students of class VIII SMPN 1 Ampek Nagari Lubuk Basung. The selected sample class VIII.5 class as the experimental class and the control class VIII.3 class. The instrument that used in this research is the final test in the form of essay with the reliability test was 0.456. Based on the analysis of data obtained by the average outcomes of student learning in experimental class was 77,79 bigger than the control class 67,68. hypothesis testing using t-test with the help of MINITAB, obtained p-value = 0.021 is smaller than α = 0.05. It can be concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying active learning strategies Group To Group with LKS type better than student understanding of mathematical concepts with conventional learning.]]>

<![CDATA[ABSTRACTThe background of this research is because the low understanding in mathematics of VII grade students of SMP Negeri 4 sutera. The purpose of this study was to determine how the development of students understanding of concepts during the learning of mathematics with a âBisnis Berisikoâ with quis and find out if the students understanding of mathematical concepts Junior High School VII SMP 4 Sutera that uses techniquesâ Bisnis Berisikoâ Quiz with a better understanding of the mathematical concepts students with conventional teaching junior High School VII SMP 4 Sutera. This is the kind of experiment research, with the subject random. The population of this research is all of VII grade students SMP Negeri 4 sutera that consists of and clasres. The sample is taken randomly and VII.1 as a experiment class and VII.2 as a control class. The instrument of this research is the quizzes to check progress of students concepts and find test with indicator consept understanding and sclaring based on analytic ârubricâ. The form of test is a essay concept with reliable test  is 0,873. The analysis data used is the test of t with MINITAB software. Based of result in analysis data found that two sample classes are distributed normally and having the homogeny variation in a level 95%. The hypothesis testing find P-value = 0,006 and itâs smaller than at  = 0,05. So, itâs can concluded that the studentâs concepts understanding by using âBisnis Berisikoâ technique is better than the conventional learning in VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 4 sutera.]]>

<![CDATA[ABSTRACTLearning more dominated by teachers and students receive without actively thinking led to an understanding of concepts and low student activity. Learning model that utilizes the interaction of students in cooperative learning that is a model of NHT with ARCS. This study aims to determine how students understanding of concepts and activities that apply the cooperative model of NHT with ARCS. This type of research is experimental research. The population in this study was a class VII Koto XI SMPN 1 Tarusan Academic Year 2013/2014 except VII1 class. Class VII2 is a class of experimental and control class is VII3 class. This research instrument is the student activity sheet and test understanding of mathematical concepts. Data analysis techniques used t test. Based on the analysis of data known to both classes of normally distributed and homogeneous samples. Hypothesis test results obtained t = 1.85 is greater than ttable = 1.645 so H0 is rejected and accept H1. Concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concepts that apply to the model of NHT with ARCS better understanding of mathematical concepts than students who apply conventional learning in class VII Koto XI SMPN 1 Tarusan.]]>
