Abstract

This study focuses on tracking the dynamics of Indonesian conversations on moderate Islam thought. It attempts toanswer number of questions concerning with the base and background of moderate Islam in developing its ideologybetween fundamentalism and liberalism pattern, form and typology and the development of moderate Islam movementin Indonesia. For this objectives, this study examines the role of the moderate Islam institution in Indonesia. This studyshows that Muslim thinkers have made some of the greatest intellectual and theoretical contributions to the debatesover Islam and human rights, Islam and democracy, and Islam and women’s rights. This position is in line with thestate concerns. This means that Moderate Islam in Indonesia has provided the foundations of civil society that madethe transition to democracy possible whereas in the Middle East Islam has been seen as anathema to democratization.

Abstract

Sufistict discourse of Sufism philosophy has grown rapidly to accompany the development of Islam in the period of growth in the archipelago. Seen from the source or network, in the 17th century AD it understood to be brought by the Sufi clerics or nomads who came from Persia and India, although the period appears haramain network is considered as a counter that ultimately criticize the ideology of philosophical Sufism that has developed before. The ideology of philosophical Sufism which developed in the archipelago in terms of the essence of the teachings comes from the philosophical Sufi mursia Ibn 'Arabi received by the archipelago of the archipelago through the followers of Ibn'Arabi or learned from his works which are encountered when wandering the middle queue - persia to study. Hamzah Fansuri and Syamsuddin Sumaterani as representenatasi of wujudiyyah in the archipelago is very stressed to maintain the concept of monotheism in an original and really crowded God. Hamzah especially emphasizes the stages of la ta'ayyun as a pure divine element. While Syamsuddin emphasize to his followers to understand al-muwahhidin al-shiddiqin, not equating anatara God with nature but understood by the logic of thinking that the form of nature is majazi or shadow of the form of God. With this understanding Syamsuddin has first clarified. Wacana sufistik tasawuf falsafi telah berkembang pesat mengiringi perkembangan Islam pada masa pertumbuhan di Nusantara. Dilihat dari sumber atau jaringannya, pada abad ke-17 M, paham tersebut dapat dikatakan dibawa oleh ulama atau pengembara sufi yang datang dari Persia dan India, walaupun kurun itu muncul jaringan Haramain dianggap sebagi tandingan yang akhirnya mengkritik paham tasawuf falsafi yang telah berkembang sebelumnya. Paham tasawuf falsafi yang berkembang di Nusantara dari segi esensi ajaran berasal dari sufi filosofis mursia Ibn’ Arabi yang diterima ulama Nusantara melalui pengikut-pengikut Ibn’Arabi atau dipelajarai dari karya-karyanya yang ditemui ketika mengembara ke timut tengah – persia untuk menuntut ilmu. Hamzah Fansuri dan Syamsuddin Sumaterani sebagai representasi dari paham wujudiyyah di Nusantara sangat menekankan untuk memahani konsep tauhid secara orisinil dan benar-benar mengesakan Tuhan. Khususnya Hamzah menekanan sekali tahapan la ta’ayyun sebagai unsur ketuhanan yang murni. Sedangkan Syamsuddin menekankan kepada pengikutnya untuk berpaham al-muwahhidin al-shiddiqin, tidak menyamakan anatara Tuhan dengan alam tapi dipahami dengan logika berfikir bahwa wujud alam adalah majazi atau bayangan dari wujud Tuhan. Dengan paham ini Syamsuddin telah terlebih dahulu mengklarifikasi.

Abstract

Normative female leadership has very strong legitimacy, both theologically, philosophically, and legally. One of them is Presidential Instruction No. 9 of 2000 on gender mainstreaming in National Development which requires all National Development Program policies and programs to be designed with a gender perspective. Education that has a basic concept as a process of transfer of value and transfer of knowledge can not be separated from the role and participation of women with the condescendent characteristics, educators, compassionate which is the key to the world of education. However, when it comes to the issue of women's public role it is still a hot and central issue both locally and nationally. The issue is still very seriously debated by society scientifically. Is it proper and capable if women appear to lead the public in social sectors including education. If we do reflections from the past of women's leadership journey, the answer will be found. As the work of Rky Rahmah el Yunusiyyah very subtle in 1923 when establishing a special religious school for women Diniyyah Puteri. The girls' Special School is the main female pillar in Minangkabau to establish its influence in the ranks of religious leadership in the effort to combine religious education and modern education. How a Rahmah strugles with traditions/ customs and religions to assure her debut and her work in leading an institution. In the contemporary context that needs to be prepared by women is the empowerment of independent and intelligent attitudes, so that the potential possessed can develop optimally. Kepemimpinan perempuan secara normatif memiliki legitimasi yang sangat kuat, baik secara teologis, filosofis maupun hukum. Salah satunya adalah Instruksi Presiden (Inpres) nomor 9 tahun 2000 tentang pengarusutamaan gender dalam Pembangunan Nasional yang mengharuskan seluruh kebijakan dan Program Pembangunan Nasional dirancang dengan perspektif gender. Pendidikan yang mempunyai konsep dasar sebagai proses alih nilai (transfer of value) dan alih pengetahuan (transfer of knowledge) tidak bisa dilepaskan dari peran dan keikutsertaan kaum hawa dengan sifat pengayom, pendidik, pengasih yang merupakan kunci utama dunia pendidikan. Hanya saja, ketika menyinggung persoalan peran publik perempuan masih merupakan isu hangat dan sentral baik secara lokal maupun secara nasional. Persoalan tersebut masih sangat serius diperdebatkan oleh masyarakat. Apakah pantas dan mampu perempuan tampil memimpin publik di sektor sosial kemasyarakatan termasuk pendidikan. Kalau kita lakukan refleksi dari perjalanan kepemimpinan perempuan masa lalu akan ditemukan jawabannya. Seperti kiprah Rky Rahmah el Yunusiyyah sangat kentara pada tahun 1923 pada saat mendirikan Sekolah agama khusus untuk perempuan Diniyyah Puteri. Sekolah Khusus putri ini adalah pilar utama perempuan di Minangkabau untuk menegakkan pengaruhnya dalam jajaran kepemimpinan agama dalam upaya menggabungkan pendidikan agama dan pendidikan modern. Bagaimana seorang Rahmah bergulat dengan tradisi/adat dan agama untuk meyakinkan debut dan kiprahnya dalam memimpin sebuah lembaga. Dalam konteks kekinian yang perlu dipersiapkan kaum perempuan adalah pemberdayaan sikap mandiri dan cerdas, sehingga potensi yang dimiliki bisa berkembang seoptimal mungkin.

Abstract

The objective of this article is to examine the spiritual philosophy of Ibn al-‘Arabi especially the spiritual stages start from the religious teaching aspects (exoteric) and spiritual (esoteric). The complexity of Ibn al-‘Arabi’s teachings needs to be investigate to respond the accusations from the religious conservative groups that state the practices done by the spiritualists are deviant religious teachings and even are considered as strange behavior and a symptom of mental illness. Through literature study, this research uses descriptive analysis method or content analysis with a normative theological approach to Ibn Arabi's works. The present study first investigated how Ibn al-’Arabi explained the dichotomy between the exoteric and esoteric dimensions and also its impact on the psychology in his spiritual philosophy. The findings of this study showed that the stages of the spiritual such as repentance, asceticism, austerity, ecstasy, clairvoyance, and so on are the transcendental consciousness which cannot be understood using only the esoteric dimension, but also using the obedience toward the exoteric dimension. A true spiritualist such as the saints and the prophets are the spokesman for God on the earth to give the enlightenment of the life in the world.

Abstract

Application of the students’ code of conduct is a set of processes to define the values, ideas, ideals of ethics that must be obeyed by students. To implement and achieve these objectives, the academic community issued a code of conduct regulations contained in the Chairman's decision letter No. Sti.04.1 / PP.02.3 / 299/2011 which regulates the order, dicipline and student activities in STAIN Bukittinggi. This research revealed about the objective reality of students ethics, the implementation of the students code of conduct, and measures steps and effort to guide the students’ code of conduct in STAIN Bukittinggi. This research used a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches. Qualitatif more likely to use in-depth analysis of data, while the quantitative is limited based on the findings of the questionnaire. In these questionnaire research, the methods are combined to get the adequated and thoroughly results about the code of conduct. As this study is a combined approach, then in this case techniques of collecting data through questionnaires, interviews, and observations will be used.

Abstract

Community-based disaster management is an attempt to optimize the potential of social and local values in communities to facilitate the handling of natural disasters. West Sumatra as one of the disaster-prone areas in Indonesia has a number of local wisdom values—a value combining religion and local culture—rooted in traditional philosophy; “Adat Basandi Syara’, Syara’ Basandi Kitabullah”. The examples of those local wisdoms are customary ideas or proverbs in the form of legend and expressions, architectural design of the traditional house—“Rumah Gadang”—and the structure of the environment as well as the social systems of kinship and traditional administration in the form of Nagari. This research employed qualitative method by using ethnography approach. The data were collected through observations, participation in social events, and in-depth interviews. Those techniques were applied to obtain the valid information and the meaning of events and behaviors comprehensively. The local values applied by the indigenous communities as the victims of natural disasters in some regions of West Sumatra include “Badoncek” tradition in Nagari Tandikat Padang Pariaman, the architecture of “Rumah Gadang” in Nagari Sungayang, Tanah Datar and disaster mitigation based on district in Nagari Kubang Putiah Agam.Managemen bencana berbasis masyarakat merupakan upaya untuk mengoptimalkan potensi sosial dan nilai-nilai lokal yang dimiliki masyarakat untuk memudahkan proses penanganan bencana alam. Sumatera Barat sebagai salah satu daerah rawan bencana di Indonesia, memiliki sejumlah nilai kearifan lokal, sebuah nilai yang memadukan antara agama dan budaya lokal yang termaktub dalam filosofi adat; Adat Basandi Syara’, Syara’ Basandi Kitabullah. Di antara kearifan lokal itu adalah ide atau pepatah adat dalam bentuk tambo dan ungkapan-ungkapan, tata ruang rumah adat dari segi arsitektur rumah gadang dan penataan lingkungannya serta sistem sosial kekerabatan dan pemerintahan adat dalam bentuk nagari. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, keterlibatan dalam kegiatan masyarakat dan wawancara mendalam. Teknik-teknik ini dilakukan untuk mendapat informasi yang valid dan mendalam serta menghayati makna atau arti peristiwa dan tingkah laku secara komprehensif. Adapun nilai-nilai kearifan lokal yang diterapkan komunitas adat di Sumatera Barat meliputi tradisi badoncek di Nagari Tandikat Padang Pariaman, arsitektur dan tata kelola rumah gadang di Nagari Sungayang Tanah Datar serta mitigasi bencana berbasis nagari di Nagari Kubang Putiah Kabupaten Agam.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the interpersonal communication of Persons with Disabilities Speech by Mr. Toing as a parking attendant at the M. Syafei building, Padang Panjang City. The methodology in this study is a type of descriptive research with a approach qualitative and case study methods. The primary data sources are Irman or Mr. Toing, who works as a parking attendant at the M. Syafei building, Padang Panjang City and secondary data, namely family, working people, service users and secondary data from sources of books, journals, internet, thesis and others. While in data collection In this study the researchers collected data from observations, interviews and documentation. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded, first, the supporting factors in interpersonal communication against the speech impaired is a factor that makes a communication can run smoothly and create a sense of security and comfort for the perpetrators communication, such as support, openness, trust and empathy. Second the inhibiting factor of interpersonal communication for people with speech impairments is a factor which causes communication problems such as technical problems, semantics (language) and physical disorders. Third, the communication model used is an interactive communication model where this model is very relevant because in doing Mr. Toing's daily work and interacting with users services or people who park in the building give each other a feedback effect so that vehicles can be parked in the right position, and to support their work use language or gestures so that people understand what is being said. Abstract

ABSTRACTThe obligatory bequest given to heirs of different religions represents a form of legal innovation established by the Supreme Court. However, this decision is contradictory within Islamic law. According to post-positivism theory, granting an obligatory bequest to heirs of different religions is a form of legal innovation carried out by judges related to Islamic family law, thereby aligning with the evolution of the times. This article aims to explore rechtvinding (legal discovery) regarding the obligatory bequest to heirs of different religions from a post-positivism perspective. The research method employed is library research, utilizing a post-positivism perspective. Primary sources include Supreme Court decision directories, while secondary sources consist of books, articles, and various online writings related to the discussion. The rechtvinding conducted by the Supreme Court is analyzed using post-positivism theory. Consequently, the findings of this research indicate that the Supreme Court's granting of an obligatory bequest to heirs of different religions is due to several reasons. These include historical factors, the use of sociological interpretation methods in legal determination, employing argumentum per analogiam in legal innovation, the existence of Islamic inheritance law among other inheritance laws, the choice of religion as part of human rights, and legal theory recognizing legal principles and deviations from those principles.Keywords: Legal Innovation, Obligatory Bequests, Different Religions, Post-Positivism

Abstract

Latar belakang dari penelitian ini adalah adanya pembiasaaan ibadah di sekolah pada anak tunagrahita dan melakukan sebuah komunikasi. Tetapi beradasarkan observasi yang dilakukan anak tersebut masih belum bisa membiasakan ibadah sholat sendiri harus dibimbing dan di ajarakan oleh gurunya. Dalam komunikasi anak tersebut masih belum sempurna karena dalam berbicara anak masih kurang sopan dan kurang mampu dalam berinteraksi. Orang tua juga melakukan pembiasaan ibadah sholat kepada anaknya, namun masih belum sempurna karena anaknya masih sering lupa untuk melakukan sholat dan sering lupa bacaan sholat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif yaitu penelitian yang dilakukan dengan menggambarkan keadaan objek pada saat sekarang berdasarkan fakta-fakta yang tampak sebagaimana adanya. Adapun sumber data dari penelitian ini adalah orang tua dan guru. Sedangkan teknik pengolahan dan analisis data yang penulis gunakan adalah mereduksi data, menyajikan data, dan melakukan verifikasi serta menarik kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan pertama faktor pembiasaan ibadah sholat anak berkebutuhan khusus tunagrahita yaitu faktornya terdapat pada diri sendiri dan juga faktor keluarga dan sosial dimana anak sudah membiasakan ibadah sholat dengan bantuan orang tua dan lingkungan seperti guru dan sekolah. Kedua bentuk komunikasi anak berkebetuhan khusus tunagrahita yaitu dalam melakukaan komunikasi anak ini melakukan komunikasi secara pribadi, kelompok dan massa. Komunikasi yang dilakukan secara pribadi terhadap anak tunagrahita sudah lancar, komunikasi kelompok anak di lingkungan sekolah lancar dengan anak yang berbeda ketunaan agak sulit melakukan komunikasi dan untuk komunikasi massa anak sudah bisa karena di sekolah anak di ajarkan untuk berkomunikasi melalui media-media.

Abstract

The focus of this research is on how transgender communication strategies relate to social stereotypes in the city of Bukittinggi. In life, a person is never separated from the name of communication, this is because communication is an inherent activity in humans who are classified as social beings, humans cannot live without communication anda communicationt itselt is an important element that forms and anables society. In principle, society cannot be separated from social problems because society has developed and changed from time to time, stereotypes are labels given by society to certain groups. This research is motivated by transgender communication strategies in which they always get social stereotypes but they can still be persistent even carrying out their activities, how to conduct interviews and observations on informants related to this phenomenon. This research resulted in an explanation of the social stereptypes of people in the city of Bukittinggi. The first social stereotypes here is divided into two, namely the classification of condition in which this the classification of this condition is someone who has personality traits and irability, namely the behavioral traits that are inherent in a person. Two communication strategies, this is where a transgender will carry out a communication strategies when he gets a stereotype so that he can survive and move on with his life.
