Abstract

This study aims to determine the description of the workload of counseling teachers, the description of the performance of counseling teachers in alleviating student learning problems, and the effect of workload on the performance of counseling teachers in alleviating the learning problems of public high school students in East Manggarai Regency. This study used a quantitative approach with a causal comparative design. Data collection techniques used questionnaires on workload and performance of counseling teachers in alleviating student learning problems, with a combination of closed and open questions. This research was conducted in 16 public high schools in East Manggarai Regency with 20 counseling teachers as respondents. The data analysis techniques used were descriptive analysis, analysis requirements test and hypothesis testing with the help of SPSS version 25. The results showed that (1) The workload of counseling teachers in public high schools in East Manggarai Regency is dominant in the high category. (2) The performance of counseling teachers in alleviating learning problems of public high school students in East Manggarai Regency is dominant in the medium category. (3) There is a strong and negative influence between workload on the performance of counseling teachers in alleviating learning problems of public high school students in East Manggarai Regency. This can be seen from the significance value of 0.000 <0.05, the value of (a)= 38.674, the value of (b)= -1.198, and the value of R square of 70.8%. Based on the results of the study, it is concluded that the workload of counseling teachers has a strong and negative effect on the performance of counseling teachers in alleviating learning problems of public high school students in East Manggarai Regency.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the description of the group guidance process using sociodrama techniques, empathy and the extent of the effectiveness of group guidance using sociodrama techniques to increase the sense of empathy of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 16 Kupang. This research uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental research type with a one group pre test and post test research design. This research was carried out at SMP Negeri 16 Kupang. The sampling technique used is the purposive sampling method, namely the sample is taken according to the aims and objectives of the research, where a pre-test will be given to the entire population of 180 students, from the results of the pre-test students who show low empathy will be used as a sample, namely 10 students. The data collection technique uses an empathy and observation scale. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis, Mann Whitney hypothesis testing with the help of the SPSS For Windows 25Version program. The results of this research show that there is an increase in students' sense of empathy after being provided with group guidance services using sociodrama techniques. This is proven by the difference in the mean score before being given treatment, 5.50 and the mean score after being given treatment, 15.50. Apart from that, the Asymp value is obtained. Sig. (2-tailed) in the Mann Whitney hypothesis test is 0.000 < 0.05, which means Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. Thus, it shows that group guidance services using sociodrama techniques can increase the sense of empathy of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 16 Kupang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kemampuan mengelola emosi siswa, perilaku agresif siswa, dan menemukan hubungan antara kemampuan mengelola emosi dan perilaku agresif siswa di SMA Negeri 5 Kota Kupang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 5 Kota Kupang dengan jumlah populasi 1.296 orang dan sampel 93 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah teknik proportional stratified random sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan instrumen skala psikologis kemampuan mengelola emosi dan angket perilaku agresif. Data tersebut dikelola menggunakan bantuan aplikasi SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) secara umum siswa memiliki kemampuan mengelola emosi dengan kategori tinggi 62 atau 67%, kategori sangat tinggi 27 atau 29% siswa, kategori rendah 4 atau 4% siswa. (2) secara umum siswa memiliki perilaku agresif dengan kategori sangat tinggi 2 atau 2% siswa, kategori tinggi 13 orang atau 14% siswa, kategori rendah 43 atau 46% siswa, kategori sangat rendah 34 atau 38% siswa. Hasil pengujian hipotesis disimpulkan bahwa menunjukkan hubungan positif yang signifikansi antara kemampuan mengelola emosi dan perilaku agresif siswa SMA Negeri 5 Kota.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between self-perception and peer association among vocational high school students at SMK Negeri 4 Kalabahi. Using a quantitative correlational research design, data were collected from 63 students selected through proportional stratified random sampling. Two Likert-scale questionnaires, measuring self-perception and peer association, were validated for content and reliability, achieving Cronbach’s alpha values of 0.820 and 0.899, respectively. Descriptive statistics revealed that 74.6% of participants exhibited high self-perception, and 65.1% reported high peer association. Normality and linearity assumptions were met, and Pearson’s product-moment correlation indicated a low but statistically significant positive relationship between self-perception and peer association (r = 0.275, p < 0.05). The findings suggest that students with higher self-perception are more likely to engage positively with peers, although the strength of the association is modest. These results highlight the multifactorial nature of adolescent social development, where self-perception interacts with environmental, social, and personal variables. The study emphasizes the need for educational interventions that foster positive self-perceptions and supportive peer environments, contributing to improved adolescent well-being and academic engagement.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan keterampilan dan pemahaman guru Bimbingan dan Konseling (BK) dalam mengembangkan media layanan berbasis digital sebagai solusi atas keterbatasan jam layanan BK di sekolah. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam bentuk pelatihan satu hari yang diikuti oleh 49 guru BK dari SMP, SMA, dan SMK di Kabupaten Alor, bertempat di SMKN 1 Kalabahi. Metode pelatihan mencakup pembuatan media layanan menggunakan Canva, CapCut, dan Podcast. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan seluruh peserta mampu menghasilkan produk berupa poster digital, empat video edukatif, dan rekaman podcast yang siap dimanfaatkan dalam layanan BK. Evaluasi pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan keterampilan peserta (p-value = 0.0013) dengan rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0.546 (kategori sedang). Respon peserta juga positif, 90% menyatakan pelatihan menarik dan berharap kegiatan lanjutan. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa integrasi media sosial dan teknologi digital melalui model CIGILIPOD dapat menjadi alternatif layanan BK yang inovatif, fleksibel, dan relevan dengan kebutuhan siswa masa kini.

Abstract

The aims of this study is to determine the effect of educational game on kindergarten students’s social interaction. This quantitative research uses Quasi Experimental research design in Reversal Time Series Design. The population in this study were 56 B1 grade kindergarten students of Taman Kanak-kanak St. Francis Xaverius Tarakan, then we took 10 of them as a sample. The data collection technique used is using observation. The data were analysed using graphical analysis technique, then a decision were made based on: frequency, latency, tendency of stability, tendency of chart direction, and level change. The results show that educational games have a significant positive effect on kindergarten students’s social interaction.
