Abstract

Public service is a service activity that cannot be separated from a person's daily activities. Public services themselves have been regulated in Law Number 32 of 2009 concerning Protection and the Environment which guarantees environmental welfare, so that this aspect is included in the development design strategy to achieve the main goal of sustainable development carried out by the government in order to protect the survival of future generations. This research aims to conduct a study regarding the communication patterns carried out by the Tarakan City PUPR Service in providing services to the community. The method used is literature study and uses a qualitative descriptive approach to examine the problem in more depth. The results of this research show that the Tarakan City PUPR Service has fulfilled 10 service indicators and has good service quality and in accordance with established standards.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the meaning in the lyrics of the song "HOPE" by XXXTENTACION using Roland Barthes' theory. The research method used is qualitative by collecting data through Roland Barthes semiotic analysis. The song, released in 2018, tells the story of the Parkland incident in which 17 people died and 14 were injured during the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida. X the songwriter struggled with his mental health and was always suicidal. However, he made a promise to his friends and fans that he would never commit suicide. Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis will dig deeper into the meaning of each verse in the lyrics of the song "HOPE" by XXXTENTACION using elements of denotation, connotation, and myth, and is expected to make writers and readers understand well the meaning contained in the song "HOPE". The results showed that the denotation meaning in the lyrics of the song "HOPE" is to commemorate the shooting of students in Parkland, Florida and the connotation meaning in the lyrics of the song "HOPE" is to encourage listeners who are depressed not to end their lives. While the mythical meaning of the song lyrics "HOPE" is a message from the song owner that every problem must have a way out.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana masyarakat Indonesia merespons program Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) "ESG Existance (EXIST)" dari PT Telkom melalui platform media sosial Instagram. Dalam konteks era digital yang berkembang pesat, media sosial, khususnya Instagram, telah menjadi sarana utama bagi individu untuk menyampaikan pandangan dan respons terhadap inisiatif perusahaan. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini menganalisis postingan, komentar, dan konten terkait untuk mengidentifikasi variasi dalam sentimen publik, mulai dari dukungan aktif hingga kritik konstruktif. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa program EXIST menerima respons positif yang signifikan atas upaya Telkom dalam mempromosikan keberlanjutan lingkungan, inklusi sosial, dan tata kelola perusahaan yang baik. Namun demikian, program ini juga menghadapi tantangan dalam hal transparansi dan persepsi efektivitas pelaksanaannya. Faktor eksternal seperti opini influencer dan isu-isu sosial juga mempengaruhi pola sentimen yang muncul di platform ini. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan wawasan yang berharga bagi Telkom untuk memperbaiki strategi komunikasi mereka dan meningkatkan dampak positif program CSR di masyarakat.
