Abstract

Database replication is a critical technology that needs to be implemented to improve database performance for applications that require fast data access and high reliability with many users. Very large data query process requests by applications impact decreasing database server performance because many applications use only one database resource. One solution to this is replication, placing the database server and several replications in different locations, which allows database performance to be maximized. This requires a study of research related to replication strategies, especially the implementation of multi-location database geo-replication mechanisms, which aim to ensure the availability of services and replication processes run well and that consistency between database servers can be achieved. The increasing number of replicated databases with different geographic locations will make data access load requests from applications can be directed to several replication servers and reduce the delay time to user responses (low latency). This research implemented a geo-replication database for three database servers on the Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS Virtual Private Server located in Singapore, West Jakarta, and South Jakarta, using the MariaDB database version 10.6.18. To measure the replication results related to time, consistency, and accessibility, a database replication query processing time test was carried out using queries with data from 250 to 150,000 records. The test results from the consistency side can be seen from the same number of data records on the master and slave replication databases, and from the accessibility side, data query requests can be served from three database server locations.

Abstract

Pengeluaran mahasiswa Generasi Z cenderung meningkat akibat kemudahan akses teknologi dan tren belanja online, yang dipengaruhi oleh fenomena Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) dan gaya hidup hedonis. Untuk membantu mahasiswa dalam mengelola keuangan mereka, penelitian ini merancang website berbasis Streamlit untuk memprediksi pengeluaran mahasiswa. Website ini memiliki dua halaman utama: Home, yang menampilkan data pengeluaran dan hasil prediksi, serta Prediksi Data Baru, yang memungkinkan pengguna mengunggah data terbaru dalam format CSV sebelum diproses. Data diperoleh melalui kuesioner yang mencakup berbagai kategori pengeluaran. Pengujian BlackBox dilakukan untuk memastikan semua fitur berfungsi dengan baik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa website ini dapat membantu mahasiswa dalam memantau dan mengelola pengeluaran mereka secara lebih bijak.

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop an interactive learning media titled “Learning About the Introduction to the Solar System”, based on Android. The background of this research is that the learning process at the school still relies on conventional methods such as books, planetarium teaching aids, and blackboards, which are less effective in improving students' understanding. To address this issue, this study designs interactive learning multimedia to assist teachers in delivering lessons and to help enhance sixth-grade students’ understanding of the solar system material. The 3D interactive solar system learning media has been successfully designed using Unity 3D and Blender software. The result of this design process is an application in .apk format that can be installed on Android-based smartphones. This interactive multimedia is equipped with various features such as material introduction, evaluations/quizzes, and educational puzzle games that can be accessed directly by students through Android devices. With the presence of this learning media, it is expected that students will more easily understand solar system concepts visually and interactively, and that it will also assist teachers in delivering the material in a more engaging and effective way.Keywords: Interactive Multimedia, Solar System, Unity 3D, Android, Learning Media

Abstract

This research aims to design and implement an automation system for controlling electrical devices and door locking based on an ESP32 microcontroller with support for Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology. The system was realized in prototype form using the iTag device as a communication medium between the user and the ESP32. The main aim of this system is to increase energy efficiency and room security through automatic control of electrical devices and a door locking mechanism when the room is not in use. Registered iTag devices will be connected to the ESP32 through the BLE pairing process, enabling detection of the user's presence within a 3 meter radius. When a user is detected, the system automatically activates the electrical device and unlocks the door; instead, the device will be disabled and the door locked when the user leaves the area. System testing was carried out to evaluate the BLE signal range and system response to various environmental conditions. Test results show that the system is able to detect iTag devices up to a maximum distance of 12 meters without physical obstacles and 9 meters with wall obstacles.

Abstract

Aset Nagari adalah barang milik nagari yang berasal dari kekayaan asli milik nagari, dibeli atau diperoleh atas beban Anggaran Pendapatan dan Belanja Nagari (APB Nagari) atau perolehan hak lainnya yang sah. Dalam pengelolaan aset permasalahan yang sering muncul biasanya pada sebuah instansi pemerintahan sering lalai akan pentingnya mengelolah data aset dengan baik dan benar, masih banyak ditemukan data aset yang belum terdata dengan baik, dan sering kali susah dalam pembuatan laporan tahunan. Hal ini pun terjadi pada nagari Sialang, pengelolahan data asetnya masih belum baik yakni di ketik di komputer kemudian di print lalu disimpan dalam sebuah arsip. Masalah selanjutnya belum adanya pengelompokan data aset berdasarkan jenis dan macamnya, agar dapat mempermudah dalam pencarian data aset. Oleh karena itu diperlukan suatu sistem pengelolaan aset berbasis web mengunakan bahasa pemograman php dan basis data mysql yang dapat membantu kenagarian Sialang dalam mengolah aset. Dengan system pengelolaan asset menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP. Pada sistem pengelolaan aset pada kenagarian Sialang, admin melakukan entri data aset. Data aset yang dientrikan dikelompokkan berdasar tahun. hal ini akan memudahkan dalam pembuatan laporan tahunan. Selanjutnya pada sistem pengelolaan aset user juga dapat mencatat status keadaan aset, seperti apakah ada aset yang rusak atau hilang dan perlu dinonaktifkan. Sehingga dengan adanya sistem pengelolaan aset ini pengelolaan aset pada kenagarian Sialang akan lebih mudah sepeti pembuatan laporan tahunan, penonaktifan aset yang rusak atau hilang, dan pencatatan pengurangan nilai aset pertahun.   Nagari Asset is the property of the nagari wealth, purchased or obtained at the expense of nagari budget or the acquisition of other rights is legitimate. in asset management issues that often arise usually at a government agency often neglect the importance of managing the asset data properly, there are still many asset data is not recorded properly, and often difficult in making the annual report. It also occurs in the nagari Sialang, data management is still not good assets in the type of computer that is then printed and then stored in an archive. A further problem is not their grouping data based on the type and variety of assets, in order to facilitate the search for asset data. Therefore need a web-based asset management system using PHP programming language and MySQL database that can help nagari Sialang in processing assets. Web based asset management by using the PHP programming language can generate an asset management system in the nagari Sialang, In the asset management system in nagari Sialang, the user or officer performs an asset data entry. The assets data that is allocated are grouped by year. this will facilitate the making of the annual report. Furthermore, in the asset management system the user can also record the status of the assets, such as whether there are assets that are damaged or lost and need to be deactivated. So that with the existence of this asset management system, managing assets in nagari Sialang assets will be easier such as making annual reports, deactivating damaged or lost assets, and recording annual asset value reductions.

Abstract

In response to this critical issue, this study aims to implement and evaluate a prototype of a smart parking system based on a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), integrating Long Range (LoRa) communication and Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) technology. A quantitative experimental approach was employed in developing the system, where the prototype was designed using the TF Luna LIDAR sensor for precise vehicle detection, the LoRa RA-02 module as a long-range wireless communication medium between nodes, an Arduino Nano or ESP32 microcontroller as the data processing unit, and infrared (IR) sensors to detect gate barrier conditions. Comprehensive testing was conducted in a simulated parking area to measure vehicle detection accuracy, sensor response time, and wireless communication efficiency. The results demonstrate highly promising performance: the LoRa RA-02 module successfully transmitted data stably up to approximately 200 meters in a basement environment, proving its superiority in coverage and power efficiency compared to conventional wireless technologies. The TF Luna LIDAR sensor achieved high detection accuracy with an average measurement error of only about 1–2 cm, making it more reliable than ultrasonic sensors, although precise placement was required due to its 1.5-meter range limitation.

Abstract

Padang City, as one of the cities the largest on the west coast of Sumatra Island, plays a strategic role in the economy and government. One of the vital infrastructures that supports public activities is the street lighting system. However, the monitoring and maintenance of streetlights still face obstacles, especially in North Padang District, which is the busiest area due to the presence of numerous educational facilities, government offices, and economic centers. This research aims to develop a WebGIS application that facilitates the monitoring and management of street lighting more efficiently. Our research contributes by introducing a new approach to spatial-based streetlight management strategies. This approach is based on a methodology for field data collection and spatial database development to manage all stages of streetlight infrastructure management. This application integrates geospatial technology by utilizing GeoServer, QGIS, and PostgreSQL for visualization and spatial data management. With this system, information about the location and condition of streetlights can be accessed in real-time, thereby facilitating better planning and maintenance of street lighting infrastructure. The result of this study is a WebGIS application capable of mapping and monitoring streetlight points interactively. The implementation of this system is expected to assist relevant authorities in improving the effectiveness of street lighting management in Padang City and contribute to the development of geospatial technology-based solutions for urban infrastructure.

Abstract

Peternakan ayam broiler merupakan usaha dengan tingkat produktivitas tinggi, namun pengelolaan kandang yang kurang optimal dapat menimbulkan masalah lingkungan seperti bau menyengat, peningkatan populasi lalat, dan tingginya kadar gas amonia (NH₃) yang berdampak negatif terhadap kesehatan ayam dan peternak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem ventilasi cerdas serta pengumpulan kotoran ayam terjadwal untuk mengurangi kadar gas amonia di kandang pada peternakan ayam Sungai kamuyang. Sistem ini menggunakan sensor MQ-135 untuk memantau kadar gas amonia secara real-time, dengan kipas ventilasi otomatis yang aktif ketika kadar gas melebihi 25 ppm dan mati ketika turun di bawah 15 ppm. Mekanisme pengumpulan kotoran menggunakan motor DC sebagai penggerak conveyor yang dikendalikan oleh modul RTC DS3231 dengan jadwal pembersihan setiap hari Jumat dan Minggu pukul 17:00, dilengkapi pompa air untuk pencucian. Sensor load cell digunakan untuk mendeteksi berat kotoran, dan ketika beban melebihi 200 gram, conveyor dan pompa berhenti sementara, sedangkan buzzer menyala selama 5 detik sebagai peringatan. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem bekerja sesuai perancangan, mampu menjaga kualitas udara kandang, mengurangi kadar gas amonia, dan mengatur pembersihan kotoran secara otomatis serta tepat waktu.

Abstract

Sunrise Jaya Motor Workshop experiences difficulties in transaction recording, inventory management, and mechanic bonus distribution, which affects the preparation of financial reports. This study employs the Waterfall method, focusing on two main stages: recruitment for collecting user requirements and design for system development. The recruitment stage involves identifying the workshop's operational needs through interviews, observations, and document studies, while the design stage produces a data model in the form of an Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD), a business process flow using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN), and a user interface design in the form of wireframes. The results of this requirements analysis are expected to serve as the foundation for developing a workshop information system that can improve operational efficiency, simplify transaction recording, and facilitate financial reporting.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the impact of the Kosabangsa 2023 program on improving the knowledge of fishermen's fish processing in Serangai Village, Batik Nau Sub-district, North Bengkulu Regency. Using both quantitative and qualitative approaches, we surveyed the group of fishermen who participated in the Kosabangsa 2023 program and conducted statistical data analysis to assess its impact on the knowledge, skills, and practices of processing fishermen's catch for income generation. The survey results showed that most respondents reported an increase in knowledge of fish processing, packaging and marketing after participating in the kosabangsa program. In addition, there was a significant increase in fish processing productivity due to the adoption of new technologies provided in the kosabangsa program for the communities participating in the program. However, challenges such as frequent power outages made the implementation of the program less successful. These findings suggest that the kosabangsa program is effective in improving the quality of human resources in processing captured fish, and that there is a need to increase the sustainability of the program to achieve more optimal results.
