Abstract

Chocolate is a processed product derived from cocoa beans that has undergone fermentation, drying, roasting, and grinding to produce high-quality cocoa powder. The processing of chocolate in a company involves many lengthy stages. Implementing a marketing mix is used as a technique to increase sales. The company needs to identify the superior products favored by consumers to develop priority marketing strategies. This study aims to analyze the application of the marketing mix in the chocolate industry and generate prioritized marketing strategies for the superior chocolate products produced by a company in Bali. The research method used is the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The results indicate that the marketing mix includes chocolate products such as chocolate cream, chocolate bars, and liquid chocolate. Product pricing depends on the form, with the most apparent pricing being for chocolate bars, calculated based on weight in grams. The production site is located at the main factory, which processes cocoa into chocolate cream, chocolate bars, and liquid chocolate, allowing consumers to experience the chocolate processing firsthand and try packaging chocolate at the factory. Chocolate promotion is continuously carried out through offline and online media, such as the company's website, which provides background information on chocolate production to the industry in Bali. The priority in chocolate marketing, based on the Analytical Hierarchy Process, is chocolate cream, followed by chocolate bars and liquid chocolate.

Abstract

The program in Bunutin Village, Bangli District, was implemented to improve the efficiency of fish farming while reducing farmers’ dependence on commercial feed through the application of integrated aquaculture and independent feed production. The main issues faced by the community include limited knowledge, skills, and experience in practicing sustainable aquaculture, as well as the lack of access to alternative feed sources that are cheaper, environmentally friendly, and easy to produce independently. To address these challenges, the program introduced the use of African Nightcrawler earthworms (Eudrilus eugeniae) as a high-protein feed source. The activities were carried out over ten months, covering preparation, technical training, mentoring, and evaluation stages. The training provided comprehensive guidance on earthworm cultivation, media management, humidity and temperature control, and integration with aquaculture systems. Participants were also taught how to utilize organic waste as earthworm culture media and to use worms as live feed or feed meal, while also producing vermicompost for crops. Evaluations through pre-test and post-test showed significant improvements: understanding of feed production increased from 46.6% (less interested) to 71.8% (highly interested), and practical skills improved from 40.5% (poor) to 77.5% (very good). The program outputs included media publications, journal articles, training videos, and enhanced farmer capacity. The program proved effective in promoting feed self-sufficiency and establishing an environmentally friendly bio-circular system. Subsequent steps focus on technology replication, development of processed feed such as pellets, and strengthening farmer institutions to ensure sustainability and wider adoption. This model is suitable for rural areas as a cost-effective and eco-friendly solution for integrated agriculture and aquaculture. This program enhances feed self-sufficiency, strengthens farmers’ capacity, and develops a sustainable bio-circular system that effectively supports integrated agriculture–aquaculture in Bunutin Village.

A well managed supply chain can increase the company product sales and improve customer satisfaction by delivering high quality products at low costs, accompanied by fast and responsive service. This study aims to analyse the supply chain performance of organic curly lettuce (Lactuca sativa L) at CV Artha Krina Denpasar, Bali, using the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) method. The analysis includes supply chain mapping, performance measurement based on SCOR attributes, and identification of constraints and potential solutions. The results showed that supply chain performance has generally met most of the specified indicators, such as delivery speed and flexibility. However, there is still room for improvement, especially in order fulfilments which was recorded at 77.7%, which is below the optimal category. supply chain activities at CV Artha Krina involve the flow of supplies from local farmers as the main supplier. If the supply from farmers is insufficient or does not meet the standards set by the company, CV Artha Krina will make purchases from the market as an alternative to meet customer needs. Seasonal factors and distribution constraints are key challenges that need to be managed to support the company's competitiveness. Supply chain mapping shows that CV Artha Krina has implemented an integrated system with local farmers and markets as suppliers, and hotels and villas as the main consumers. The results showed that the delivery performance: 100% (superior category). Supply Chain Flexibility: 3 days (superior category). Total Cost of Product Delivery: 57.14% (low category). Optimizing Order Fulfilments in a way that CV Artha Krina needs to increase cooperation with farmers to ensure product availability throughout the year. Regarding Logistics improvement CV Artha Krina requires investment in refrigeration and packaging technology to maintain product freshness during distribution

Abstract

The revitalization of traditional markets is a strategic effort by the government to enhance competitiveness, particularly in response to declining infrastructure quality and reduced consumer interest. This study is motivated by the condition of the Gianyar People’s Market, which was considered inadequate, prompting a revitalization program aimed at improving traders’ welfare. The objective of this research is to analyze the impact of market revitalization on the income of vegetable and fruit traders. The study was conducted at the Gianyar People’s Market, Gianyar Regency. A mixed-method approach was employed, combining quantitative and qualitative data derived from primary and secondary sources. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using income analysis, descriptive analysis, and the McNemar test to examine differences in traders’ income before and after revitalization. The results indicate that the implementation of the revitalization program led to a significant decrease in the income of vegetable and fruit traders. This decline was primarily attributed to a reduction in the number of visitors, suboptimal market management, and ineffective governance by the local authorities. Statistical analysis further confirms that market revitalization has a significant effect on traders’ income. In conclusion, the revitalization of the Gianyar People’s Market has not yet achieved its intended objective of improving traders’ income. Therefore, improvements in market management and governance are necessary to ensure the effectiveness of future revitalization programs
