Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of principal supervision in improving the performance of elementary school class teachers in cluster XXXVI Ateuk, Kuta Baro District, Aceh Besar Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data collection through in-depth interviews and observations. While data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation and conclusion making. The results of the study show that the supervision of the principal plays a role in improving teacher performance, improving teacher performance, especially in the learning process. The role of the principal as a supervisor in improving teacher performance is to act as a coordinator, consultant, group leader and evaluator. Supervision activities of school principals in improving teacher performance are carried out through planning, implementation, and evaluation. The implementation of supervision is carried out to see the condition of learning activities carried out by teachers, namely, to check the suitability of learning tools with their application in class, if not this is what is evaluated, and guidance and coaching are carried out to be better.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of the principal's managerial ability and academic supervision on teacher performance in Aceh Besar. This research uses a quantitative approach with ex post facto research type. Data collection was carried out using closed questionnaires. Data analysis was performed quantitatively using multiple linear regression analysis. The results proved that there was an influence on the principal's managerial ability on teacher performance. There is an influence of the principal's academic supervision on teacher performance, there is an influence between managerial ability, academic supervision of the principal on the performance of elementary school teachers in the Lampeuneurut Cluster

Abstract

The aim of this literature study aims to determine, explain and analyze the leadership style of school principals in improving teacher performance. The method for writing literature studies uses a conceptual research approach relating to ideas and theories. The stages in writing a literature study include selecting a topic, searching for literature, developing an opinion, and a literature survey. Data analysis used used content analysis. The results of the literature study found that the principal's leadership style in improving teacher discipline is a storytelling style. Apart from the storytelling style, the principal also applies a situational style. The principal's leadership style in improving teacher performance is a selling (consultative) style by directing teachers to complete duties, the principal's leadership style in improving teacher abilities, namely the participative style applied during internal teacher council meetings and other meetings and the principal's leadership style in increasing teacher responsibility, is a delegative style, namely dividing authority among members to carry out organizational tasks. It is hoped that supervisors and school principals can provide encouragement and direction in the work of discipline, commitment, ability and responsibility of teachers effectively and efficiently to improve performance in schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi matematika informal siswa dan cara guru dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika informal tersebut. Penelitian ini melibatkan 5 orang guru dan 1 orang siswa yang bekerja pada perusahaan pencuci sepeda motor. Sebagai gambaran, matematika seorang pekerja (siswa) doorsmeer (pekerjaannya mencuci motor), yang dianggap sebagai jenis matematika di luar sekolah (matematika informal) bisa menyelesaikan masalah matematika siswa yang terkait dengan kegiatan keseharian siswa yang bekerja pada tempat doorsmeer. Akan tetapi, matematika formal yang digunakan oleh guru dan yang diajarkan di sekolah, tidak bisa menyelesaikan masalah yang sesuai dengan realita yang dihadapi siswa doorsmeer, walaupun algoritmanya sudah benar. Sebagai kesimpulan, guru matematika mengira bahwa matematika yang dipelajari di sekolah sudah cocok untuk siswa yang bekerja di doorsmeer dengan kata lain, matematika yang diberikan di sekolah bisa aplikasikan di tempat siswa bekerja. Akan tetapi, cara matematika yang diaplikasikan oleh siswa doorsmeer tidak sama dengan matematika yang diajarkan oleh guru di sekolah yang berpikir bahwa matematika sekolah cocok di tempat siswa bekerja.

Abstract

Kehamilan adalah proses yang fisiologis dan alamiah. Kehamilan di hitung mulai dari hari pertama pada haid terakhir. Tujuan penelitian ini Untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian air rebusan jahe putih terhadap penurunan Emesis Gravidarum pada ibu hamil trimester I di Praktik Mandiri Bidan Suriati, S.ST Lambaro Kecamatan Ingin Jaya Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Metode penelitian dan Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen, Dengan rancangan yang digunakan adalah “Two Group Pre Test Post test Design”. Penelitian ini telah dilakukan di Praktik Mandiri Bidan Suriati Lambaro pada tanggal 1 sampai Agustus s/d 10 Agustus tahun 2023 dengan jumlah sampek sebanyak 38 sampel yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu kelompok kontrol sebanyak 18 responden dan kelompok eksperimen 18 responden. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan hasil uji simple t test sebelum dan sesudah pemberian aromaterapi jahe putih pada kelompok eksperimen, didapatkan nilai p-value = 0,000<0,05 yang artinya ada pengaruh pemberian Air Rebusan Jahe Putih Terhadap Penurunan Emesis Gravidarum Pada Ibu Hamil Trimester I, Sedangkan hasil uji simple t test sebelum dan sesudah pemberian aromaterapi jahe putih pada kelompok kontrol, didapatkan nilai p-value = 0,000< 0,05 yang artinya ada pengaruh Pemberian Air Rebusan Jahe Putih Terhadap Penurunan Emesis Gravidarum Pada Ibu Hamil Trimester I. Menurut peneliti meminum seduhan jahe sebanyak 2 kali dalam sehari dengan 250 mg jahe dapet mengurangi mual dan muntah pada trimester pertama, jahe berperan menstimulasi motilitas traktus gastrointestinal dan mendorong sekresi saliva dan jahe untuk melonggarkan dan melemahkan otot-otot saluran pencernaan, karena senyawa gingerol dalam jahe memblok serotonim peningkatan progesteron, sehingga tonus dan motilitas menurnurun.AbstractPregnancy is a physiological and natural process. Pregnancy is counted starting from the first day of the last menstruation. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of giving boiled white ginger water on reducing Emesis Gravidarum in first trimester pregnant women at the Independent Practice of Midwife Suriati, S.ST Lambaro, Want Jaya District, Aceh Besar Regency. The research method and type of research used is experimental research. The design used is "Two Group Pre Test Post Test Design". This research was conducted at the Independent Practice of Midwife Suriati Lambaro from 1 August to 10 August 2023 with a total sample of 38 samples divided into two groups, namely a control group of 18 respondents and an experimental group of 18 respondents. Research results Based on the results of the simple t test before and after giving white ginger aromatherapy to the experimental group, it was found that the p-value = 0.000< 0.05, which means there is an effect of giving white ginger boiled water on reducing emesis gravidarum in pregnant women in the first trimester, while The results of the simple t test before and after giving white ginger aromatherapy to the control group, obtained a p-value = 0.000 < 0.05, which means there is an effect of giving white ginger boiled water on reducing emesis gravidarum in first trimester pregnant women. According to the researchers, drinking the infusion ginger twice a day with 250 mg of ginger can reduce nausea and vomiting in the first trimester, ginger plays a role in stimulating gastrointestinal tract motility and encouraging saliva secretion and ginger to loosen and weaken the muscles of the digestive tract, because the gingerol compound in ginger blocks the increase in progesterone serotonin, resulting in decreased tone and motility.

Abstract

Incorporating engaging and effective teaching materials is essential for enhancing student learning in science education. This research aims to develop comic-based integrated science teaching materials tailored for fifth-grade students, employing the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) method. The research and development process follows these five stages to ensure comprehensive material creation and evaluation. The results indicate high validation scores: 96% for material, 98% for language, and 96% for media, categorizing the comics as highly suitable for educational use. Student and teacher responses further affirm this suitability, with 90% and 94% approval rates, respectively. Evaluation of student test results shows an average score of 90.36, with 90% of students meeting the criteria for excellence. This study concludes that comic-based teaching materials significantly enhance student engagement and understanding of science, contributing valuable insights into educational resource development.

Abstract

Effective school leadership is critical for enhancing teacher performance and professionalism. This research aims to analyze the application of the school principal's charismatic leadership style in improving teacher performance and professionalism at an elementary school in Indonesia. Employing a descriptive qualitative research design, this study systematically explores the unique traits and behaviors of charismatic leaders, including their strong charm, self-confidence, clear vision, and ability to inspire followers. While charismatic leadership positively impacts values, ideology, and participation, it can also lead to a focus on personal loyalty and the use of power for personal gain. The success of charismatic leadership is evidenced by the close relationship between leaders and followers, with followers showing high commitment to the leader's vision. This study contributes to the education field by providing insights into how charismatic leadership can be harnessed to improve teacher performance and professionalism, highlighting both its benefits and potential drawbacks.

Abstract

The quality of teaching is crucial for effective education and student achievement. This research investigates the impact of pedagogical competency training, teacher work groups, and work motivation on the teaching performance of elementary school teachers. Employing a quantitative approach, the study uses correlation research methods to analyze data collected through questionnaires and documentation. The analysis, conducted with SPSS, includes validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression tests, and hypothesis testing. The findings reveal that while pedagogical competency training does not have a significant partial effect on teaching performance, work motivation significantly influences it. Moreover, the combined effect of pedagogical competency training, teacher work groups, and work motivation demonstrates a significant impact on teaching performance. This study contributes to the education field by highlighting the importance of teacher motivation and the synergistic effects of various professional development strategies on teaching performance.

Abstract

The quality of education in an area is influenced by various factors, including teacher performance. Teachers must work professionally to develop outstanding students. Teacher performance is believed to be related to the principal's leadership abilities. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of school principal management skills on the performance of elementary school teachers in the Lampenurut Aceh Besar cluster. This research is a type of correlational research. The research was conducted in elementary schools in Aceh Besar district. The populations of this study were all teachers who taught in elementary schools in the Lampenurut Aceh Besar cluster. The sample was then taken through a proportional random sample of 156 teachers. Data was collected using a questionnaire distributed to respondents. The questionnaire contains the principal's management skills and teacher performance. Research variables were measured using a Likert scale. The data obtained was then tested using the Pearson product-moment correlation test using the SPSS 26 program. The research results showed that the average management ability of school principals was moderate. This can be seen in the competence of school principals in the planning, implementation, organizing/management, and supervision processes. Likewise, the average teacher performance is also in the middle category. Teacher performance is evaluated using three indicators, namely planning, implementation, and learning assessment. The results of statistical tests show that the principal's leadership influences the performance of elementary school teachers in Lampenurut District. The better the principal's management skills, the better the teacher's performance, and vice versa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kinerja guru SD Negeri Lam Ilie melalui supervisi akademik. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah peneltian tindakan sekolah (PTS). Subjek dalam penelitian adalah seluruh guru di SD Negeri Lam Ilie yang berjumlah 8 orang. Degan demikian teknik pengambilan sampel sebagai subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah total sampel atau sampel jenuh. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pedoman wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan sekolah dengan dua siklus. Hasil penelitian adalah penilaian kemampuan guru dalam menyusun Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) setelah dilakukan supervisi akademik pada siklus I kategori cukup dengan nilai 72,94 dan pada siklus II kategori baik dengan nilai 85,93. Penilaian pelaksanaan pembelajaran pada siklus I kategori cukup dengan nilai 72,87 dan pada siklus II kategori baik dengan nilai 86,74. Penilaian kompetensi profesional guru pada siklus I kategori cukup dengan nilai 66,24 dan pada siklus II kategori baik dengan nilai 88,75. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data disimpulkan bahwa kinerja guru di SD Negeri Lam Ilie Kabupaten Aceh Besar dapat ditingkatkan melalui supervisi akademik.AbstractThis research aims to determine the improvement in the performance of Lam Ilie State Elementary School teachers through academic supervision. The research design used in this research is school action research (PTS). The subjects in the research were all 8 teachers at Lam Ilie State Elementary School. Thus, the sampling technique for subjects in this research is the total sample or saturated sample. The research instruments used in this research were interview guidelines, observation and documentation. This research uses school action research with two cycles. The results of the research are an assessment of the teacher's ability to prepare a Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) after carrying out academic supervision in cycle I, in the adequate category with a score of 72.94 and in cycle II in the good category with a score of 85.93. The assessment of learning implementation in cycle I was in the adequate category with a score of 72.87 and in cycle II in the good category with a score of 86.74. The assessment of teacher professional competence in the first cycle was in the adequate category with a score of 66.24 and in the second cycle in the good category with a score of 88.75. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that teacher performance at SD Negeri Lam Ilie, Aceh Besar Regency could be improved through academic supervision.
