Abstract

Application of urea will increase nitrogen content and microorganism activity so it can decrease C/N ratio. Sugarcane residues is low quality organic matter source and it is difficult to decompose. Accelerating the rate of decomposition of sugarcane residues can be done byh enumeration and application of urea fertilizer on sugarcane residues. The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of urea application on decomposition rate of sugarcane residues with enumeration on trash management system. The study was conducted at HGU C-13 PG Pesantren Baru Garden, Kediri Regency at 4.5-month sugarcane plantation. The experiment was designed using a randomized block design with six treatments and four replications. The treatments used were ratoon sugarcane which was trash chopped (dry and pure sugarcane litter) and urea. The doses of urea added to each treatment were Control (without urea); P1 (urea 2 kg ha-1); P2 (urea 3 kg ha-1); P3 (urea 4 kg ha-1); P4 (urea 5 kg ha-1); and P5 (urea 6 kg ha-1). The results showed that the addition of urea with dose 4 kg ha-1 to sugarcane residues decreased the C/N ratio by 10,94% compared to control and increased N-total by 16,00% as well as microbial population by 25,00%.

Abstract

Tailings are waste (sludge) generated from various mining activities. Abundance of tailings can be a very serious problem in soils. One method that can be used to anticipate chemical hazard is phytoremediation using hyperaccumulator. Sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) is one of the hyperaccumulator plants. In the other way, using compost to support macro and microelements for plants in phytoremediation activities can improve the physical and chemical of soil properties. Beside of using hyperaccumulator plants and compost, inoculation of arbuscular mycorrhiza (AM) can also be used to improve plant growth. The aim of this was to explore the effects of application of compost and mycorrhizal spores of Glomus sp. to gold mine tailing on sunflower growth, and P uptake. This study used a completely randomized design factorial consisting of two primary factors. The first factor was planting media composition (M) consisting of five levels and the second factor was the mycorrhizal spore numbers (S) consisting of three levels. The results showed that the composition of planting media (25% tailings : 75% compost) and the addition of 50 mycorrhiza spores increased plant height up to 45.67 cm (42.87%), and the leaves number 9.34 (72.97%), and able to increase P uptake 2.9 g plant-1 (45,79%).

Abstract

Ultisol has limitation to become agricultural land by low soil pH, high saturation of Al, poor macronutrients and low organic matter content. Maize production in Ultisol is faced with a lack of P. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of coal fly ash (CFA), oil palm empty fruit bunch (OPEFB) and mycorrhiza to help increase the availability and uptake of phosphorus, growth and production of corn on Ultisol. The combination consisted of twelve treatments with 3 replications. The research was conducted in a glasshouse by planting corn on the planting media according to the treatment. Plant height and number of leaves were observed every week, at harvest (age 13 weeks) observed fresh weight and dry weight of shoot + root, fresh weight of cob with cornhusk, fresh weight of cob, weight of shelled seeds, production. P-total, P-available, P uptake, soil pH, organic-C, number of spores and percentage of root colonies were observed in the laboratory. The application of the combination of CFA and OPEFB and mycorrhiza did not have a significant effect on total-P, available-P, soil pH, organic-C, plant height, number of leaves, dry weight of shoot + root, fresh weight of cob with cornhusk and weight of shelled seeds. CFA, OPEFB and mycorrhiza influential in increasing P-uptake, dry weight of shoot + root, fresh weight of cob, production, number of spores and percentage of root colonies

Abstract

The type of mycorrhizae has the behavior of AM colonies on plant roots and different spore formation, so the selection of important host plants in multiplication of AM. This study aimed to test the mycorrhizal propagation and AM colonies in various types of mycorrhiza (Glomus sp. and Acaulospora sp.) in sweet maize, green beans and odot grass, and to study available soil  P and growth of host plants (sweet maize, green beans and odot grass) inoculated with different types of mycorrhiza (Glomus sp. and Acaulospora sp.). The research included 3 stages of activities, i.e. soil sampling, isolation and identification of mycorrhizae, and propagation of spores. The study used a factorial completely randomized design, consisted of two factors host species (sweet maize, green beans and odot grass) and the types of mycorrhiza (control, Glomus sp. and Acaulospora sp.), totaling 9 treatments and 4 replication of each. The results showed that there were signifance differences in the number of mycorrhizal spores and AM colonies in plant roots (Glomus sp. and Acaulospora sp.). Further, the growth of host plant by aplication of different type of AM was significantly different (P<0,05). Application of mychorriza on plants gave significant effect on available P at 56 days after planting, except in sweet maize.

Abstract

WiMAX IEEE 802.16e merupakan non-line of sight (NLOS) Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) yang dikeluarkan oleh WiMAX Forum yang dikembangkan berdasarkan standar IEEE 802.16. Teknologi ini mampu diimplementasikan untuk mobile wireless access yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhan layanan data dengan bandwidth yang cukup besar 20 MHz, coverage yang luas 50 km, dengan bitrate yang tinggi 75 Mbps. Pergerakan user/mobile station akan mempengaruhi kualitas layanan suara pada jaringan WiMAX IEEE 802.16e yaitu akan terjadinya efek doppler spread yang mengakibatkan perubahan frekuensi terhadap mobile station yang bergerak.  Penelitian mengenai pengaruh pergerakan user/mobile station terhadap kualitas sinyal suara pada jaringan WiMAX IEEE 802.16e ini dilakukan dengan cara membuat simulasi sistem transmisi WiMAX 802.16e yang dilewatkan pada kanal yang bersifat multipath fading karena bersifat komunikasi non-line of Sight (NLOS) dengan cara terdistribusi rayleigh dan noise AWGN dengan pemodelan kanal propagasi SUI (Stanford University Interim). Parameter kecepatan user/mobile station yang disimulasikan mulai 0 km/jam (user statis), <15km/jam (user berjalan kaki), 16-50 km/jam (user berkendaraan sedang), sampai dengan 51-120 km/jam (user kecepatan tinggi). Hasil simulasi dan analisa memperlihatkan bahwa kecepatan pergerakan user sangat berpengaruh terhadap  fluktuasi fading pada kanal rayleigh. Berdasarkan standar komunikasi digital yaitu nilai BER sebesar 10, nilai Eb/No yang dihasilkan dibawah 12 dB untuk modulasi BPSK kecepatan user bisa mencapai 50 km/jam, sementara untuk QPSK kecepatan maksimal user dibawah 50 km/jam, dan 8PSK kecepatan user dibawah 30 km/jam. Sehingga modulasi yang paling baik untuk system ini adalah BPSK.

Abstract

Tanaman Tomat merupakan salah satu komoditas pertanian yang banyak dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat. Kebanyakan petani menanam tomat dengan cara konvensional disawah, ladang atau dikebun tanpa adanya kontrol dan pengukuran hanya mengandalkan pengalaman dan faktor kebiasaan saja, sehingga kebutuhan pH dan suhu ruang tanam dari tanaman tomat tidak dapat diberikan sesuai kebutuhannya,adapun kebutuhan pH dari tanaman tomat berkisar antara 4,5 sampai dengan 6,5 dan suhu ruang tanam 23°C sampai dengan 32°C, dengan metode tanam menggunakan hidroponik drip yang dikontrol dengan penerapan fuzzy mamdani memudahkan dalam melakukan pengaturan pH media tanam menggunakan sensor pH tanah sebagai input dan suhu ruang tanam menggunakan sensor suhu LM35, yang diproses oleh mikrokontroller berbasis arduino, untuk mendapatkan pH dan suhu ruang tanam yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan tanaman tomat, sebagai output sistem maka digunakan fan dan selenoid valve. Dengan melakukan kontrol terhadap nutrisi sesuai dengan kebutuhan tanaman tomat maka buah tomat yang dihasilkan akan memiliki rasa yang lebih manis dan jumlah buah yang lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan tanaman tomat yang ditanam tanpa alat ini.

Abstract

The company's reputation is an intangible asset that is very valuable for public companies in the midst of capital market developments. Therefore, the implementation of risk management is needed to mitigate the reputational risk that arises. This study aims to provide an overview of the analysis of reputation risk management at PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk. The results of the discussion analysis can be concluded that in the period 2018 to 2020 PT Jasa Marga has experienced reputational risk and has been responsively handled by reputation risk management. The existing problems tend to be related to negative publicity and misunderstandings with the media regarding news of construction services, toll road operations, as well as the extent to which projects operate and services are successfully implemented. Mitigation efforts in risk management as a whole intersect with increasing clarification, updating information, as well as building a communication network with the media, optimizing the role of the media, and building a media partnership network. The outputs of this research are the results of the Reputation Risk Management Analysis at PT Jasa Marga and scientific articles in national journals/seminar proceedings

Abstract

Husnul Khotimah Islamic Boarding School faces challenges in meeting the need for electricity supply due to 24-hour operations. This causes high operational costs, especially for electricity. Until now, there have been no efforts to implement alternative energy sources due to limited knowledge and budget. This research in the form of community service proposes empowering the Islamic boarding school community through renewable energy-based power generation technology, namely solar and wind power. This implementation aims to reduce dependence on conventional electricity, reduce operational costs, and increase the understanding of the Islamic boarding school community regarding green energy technology, namely solar and wind energy. The methods used include feasibility studies, planning, installation, and training the Islamic boarding school community. The expected results are the creation of an efficient and sustainable renewable energy system, as well as increasing the capacity of the Islamic boarding school community in managing independent energy resources. This empowerment is expected to be a model that can be replicated by other Islamic boarding schools in overcoming similar problems.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) kini semakin berkembang dan hadir dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, termasuk dalam dunia pendidikan. Salah satu contohnya adalah ChatGPT, chatbot berbasis AI dari OpenAI yang mampu merespons dengan luwes. Namun, sebagian besar guru di SMP Negeri 21 Bandung masih terbiasa dengan metode konvensional dan belum mengenal teknologi AI. Hal ini menjadi tantangan karena keterbatasan anggaran untuk pelatihan. Dalam rangka pengabdian kepada masyarakat, dilakukan pelatihan AI bagi 38 guru SMPN 21 Bandung untuk meningkatkan kreativitas dan produktivitas mereka. Pelatihan ini bertujuan menjadikan guru lebih adaptif terhadap perkembangan zaman. Diharapkan para guru yang sebelumnya terkesan tradisional dapat berubah menjadi pengajar yang melek teknologi dan mampu memanfaatkannya secara positif dalam proses belajar mengajar. Hal ini akan membantu mencetak lulusan yang cerdas, berakhlak, dan siap menghadapi tantangan masa depan.
