Abstract

Kopi, karet, dan komoditas kelapa sawit banyak digunakan dan dikelola oleh masyarakat di Muara Enim, Sumatera Selatan. Hal ini terjadi karena ketiga komoditas ini merupakan komoditas utama dalam kehidupan sosial ekonomi mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan kondisi pengolahan dan pemasaran komoditas kopi, karet dan kelapa sawit yang ada. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kabupaten Muara Enim dengan menggunakan metode primer, yaitu melalui wawancara dan observasi serta metode kepustakaan yang diambil dari beberapa literatur pendukung penelitian ini. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah dalam kondisi yang ada, masalah dalam aspek pengolahan dan pemasaran produksi sebenarnya masih menjadi masalah global di semua wilayah penghasil ketiga komoditas perkebunan ini di Indonesia. Di Kabupaten Muara Enim, ada juga masalah lokal yang dihadapi oleh petani kopi, karet dan kelapa sawit, baik dalam pengolahan dan pemasaran. Peningkatan dan pengembangan pengolahan dan pemasaran komoditas perkebunan kopi, karet dan kelapa sawit adalah tugas Pemerintah Kabupaten Muara Enim dan OPD terkait, sehingga ketiga komoditas ini bisa lebih baik.

Abstract

Wildayana et al, 2016. Matching Global Crises with Application of Production Factors and Income of NES Oil Palm Plasma Farmers. JLSO 5(1):10-17.The research aimed to analyze the global crisis adjustment to the production factors and income of NES oil palm smallholder. The research location is located in swamp land Talang Sepucuk, OKI District (PIR Trans) and PIR Bun is sited in Betung Banyuasin, South Sumatra. The research method was a field survey using a questionnaire to smallholders. Collected data are statistically processed with SPSS version 21. The research concludes that the global crisis has led to a very significant reduction in the use of fertilizers and pesticides and the significant differences in the utilization of manpower. The use alsintan showed no significant difference. Very sharp reduction has occurred in PIR Bun compared to PIR Trans smallholder farmers. As a result of the global crisis, the PIR Trans smallholder incomes decreased by 25.76% and PIR Bun decreased by 36.95% and vary significantly due to the global crisis. But the distribution of smallholder incomes do not show the proportion of the difference.

Lastinawati et al, 2018. Price Transmission Analysis of Rice in Ogan Komering Ilir District, South Sumatra Province. JLSO 7(1):43-49. Price transmission is one indicator of whether or not a marketing system is efficient and also can explain the distribution of welfare between producers and consumers in the marketing channel. This study aimed to analyze the transmission of rice prices which are the basic needs of the Indonesian people, both the price transmission of consumer to farmers, and vice versa, with two groups of rice based on their quality, namely premium and medium rice. This research conducted at Ogan Komering Ilir District, South Sumatra Province. Price transmission was analyzed using price transmission elasticity, using weekly rice price series data from the second week of March 2016 to the second week of September 2018. The results showed that the transmission of consumer prices of premium and medium rice to the price of harvested dry grain at farmer level had an elasticity value not equal to one, and vice versa. This showed that the rice market in Ogan Komering Ilir Regency was in elastic and less efficient, because prices were transmitted asymmetrically.
