Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to: (1) Calculating the farmers income before and after implementation Rural Agribusiness Development Program (RADP) in the District OKU. (2) Analyze the effectiveness of RADP in the District OKU based on indicators of success set out in the Minister of Agriculture. The experiment was conducted in the District OKU with sample location in the Village of Sepancar Lawang Kulon Eastern Baturaja District and the Village Karang Endah West Baturaja District, using the survey method. The sampling is done by using disproportioned random sampling method, as much as 29 samples from the Village of Sepancar Lawang Kulon and 21 samples from the Village of Karang Endah who participated in the RADP implementation in the District OKU year 2010. The results showed that the income of farmers increased in the district OKU, where farmers income before the program PUAP year 2009 amounted to Rp 21.425.639,00 increased to Rp 34.058.657,00 after the program PUAP year 2010. RADP in the District OKU can be said to be effective seen from the indicators of success that includes the success of the output, outcome, the benefits and impact.Keywords : farmers’ income, effectiveness, impact, agribusiness program

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the production risks and the risk of fluctuations in the price of corn in the Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) District. The research area selected intentionally (purposive), with consideration of corn into a commodity in most districts in OKU District. This study uses secondary data (time seriesdata), cover the price of corn in OKU District since January 2010 until December 2014 (60 months) and maize production data in OKU District of the years 2010 to 2014. The results showedthat corn farming likely suffer losses when analyzed in terms of its production, which is indicated by the value of the coefficient of variation of 1,23 or CV> 0,5and a lower limit value of production -5428,62 or L <0. Corn farming is also likely to incur a loss if analyzed from the price fluctuates, indicated by the coefficient of variation in the price of corn of 1,05 or CV> 0,5 so that the lower limit of the price -6531,87 or L <0.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to calculate the income contribution and analyze the socio-economic factors that affect income contribution of women labor of oil palm seedlings. The study was conducted in Afdelling II Sei Ogan PTP. Minanga Ogan District of Ogan Komering Ulu. The location determination is done intentionally (purposive) by simple random sampling of 30 samples from 53 members of the population. The results showed that oil palm breeding female workers contributed income average of 35,35% of the average income family. Based on the regression results, socio-economic factors that significantly affect the revenue contribution of women workers in the oil palm nursery PTP. Minanga Ogan are age and income of the husband, while the level of education and number of family members is not  a real effect.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the break even point and the risk of laying ducks farm income in Sugih Waras Village, Belitang Mulya Subdistrict, Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Timur District. The research location is determined on purposive and make all laying duck farmers using cages 15 x 5 m and 15 x 6 m or raising ± 150 laying ducks in Sugih Waras Village as the respondents of this study (census methods). The results showed that laying ducks farmers in Sugih Waras Village reach the break even point at the time of production by 740 egg per month with a price is Rp 1.111.675,13 per egg. Laying ducks farm in Sugih Waras Village likely losses indicated by the variation coefficient of 1,026 and the lower limit revenue of -1.380.102,9.Keywords : break even point, the risk of income, laying ducks

Abstract

Lastinawati et al, 2018. Price Transmission Analysis of Rice in Ogan Komering Ilir District, South Sumatra Province. JLSO 7(1):43-49. Price transmission is one indicator of whether or not a marketing system is efficient and also can explain the distribution of welfare between producers and consumers in the marketing channel. This study aimed to analyze the transmission of rice prices which are the basic needs of the Indonesian people, both the price transmission of consumer to farmers, and vice versa, with two groups of rice based on their quality, namely premium and medium rice. This research conducted at Ogan Komering Ilir District, South Sumatra Province. Price transmission was analyzed using price transmission elasticity, using weekly rice price series data from the second week of March 2016 to the second week of September 2018. The results showed that the transmission of consumer prices of premium and medium rice to the price of harvested dry grain at farmer level had an elasticity value not equal to one, and vice versa. This showed that the rice market in Ogan Komering Ilir Regency was in elastic and less efficient, because prices were transmitted asymmetrically.

Palembang: Unsri Press. The price of a commodity is a very important factor that influences the decisions of producers in production activities, and consumers in their consumption activities. This study aims to build an ARIMA model for forecasting rice prices based on the quality of premium and medium rice. The study was carried out in Ogan Komering Ilir Regency as the center of swamp rice production in the South Sumatra Province. The ARIMA model of rice price was built using the Box Jenkins method with sequential data on weekly rice prices since the second week of March 2016 to the second week of September 2018. The results showed that the best model for the retail price of premium rice was ARIMA (8,1,0), whereas for medium rice retail prices, ARIMA (4,1,1) is obtained. The forecasting results show that the price of premium and medium rice in OKI Regency until December 2020 continues to increase.Keywords: ARIMA model, premium and medium rice, retail price

Abstract

This study aims to determine income and find out marketing channel for hybrid corn farmers in Batuputih Village, Baturaja District West Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, is it efficient or not. Method research that is used in this study is a survey method. Method sampling used in this study is the snowball method. The results showed that the income of hybrid corn farmers in Batuputih Village is very good and adequate, the marketing channels are in accordance with the marketing process, namely from farmers to village collectors to factories to traders retailers then to consumers, and marketing of hybrid corn in Batuputih village already efficient.Keyword: Efficient, Corn, Marketing, Channel
