Abstract

Reading is an essential activity of learning. In this study, the researchers investigated the opinions of elementary school teachers, university students majoring in elementary school teacher education, and elementary school students on the mathematics audible book "Asyiknya Bermain Setatak". The researchers distributed questionnaires to collect the data. Data collection was carried out randomly using the random sample method. The respondents comprised 75 people (9 elementary school teachers, 53 university students majoring in elementary school teacher education, and 13 elementary school students) in Pekanbaru, Riau. The data were analyzed using  Rasch Model with item response theory (IRT). Based on the data analysis, all statements are valid and reliable, and it means that the items can be used to judge the design of the audible book "Asyiknya Bermain Setatak".Based on the results of the study, it was found that the audible book math media was in accordance with the learning of elementary school students. The use of math audible book is also easy to do by students, teachers, and prospective teachers. Math audible books also provide positive benefits in learning mathematics. Based on this, it can be concluded that teachers should consider using audible books as a media for mathematics learning.

Abstract

Technological developments are spreading to all sectors, including education. As educators, we are required to utilize technology in learning, Many students have difficulty understanding geometric material, which is often presented in a conventional and less interesting way. On the other hand, education in Indonesia also aims to shape students' character in accordance with Pancasila values, such as mutual cooperation, integrity and independence. However, approaches that integrate character education with subject teaching are still limited. This research aims to analyze a mathematics audible book based on Pancasila student profiles that is feasible and practical as a medium for introducing rectangular flat shapes for fourth grade elementary school students by utilizing technological developments. The research uses the ADDIE model. The test subjects were fourth grade elementary school students, involving 94 students and 3 teachers. Data collection techniques through interviews and questionnaires. Data analysis uses the Aiken'v index. The results of the research show that overall the use of a mathematics audible book is feasible and practical as a medium for introducing rectangular shapes for class IV elementary school. The implications of this research are This book is designed to introduce the quadrilateral concept in an interesting way and in line with the Pancasila student profile, which emphasizes values ​​such as mutual cooperation, integrity and independence.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat pengaruh pembelajaran berdiferensiasi berbasis RME pada kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. Studi ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain kuasi-eksperimen. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kelas V dengan melibatkan 21 siswa dalam kelompok eksperimen dan 21 siswa dalam kelompok kontrol. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes, observasi, dan kuesioner. Untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh signifikan dari penerapan RME terdiferensiasi terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, dilakukan analisis menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai N-gain sebesar 61,08 untuk efektivitas penerapan pembelajaran terdiferensiasi, yang termasuk dalam kategori “cukup efektif”. Selain itu, nilai signifikansi yang diperoleh (sig = 0,00) menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran berbasis RME yang terdiferensiasi memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis RME yang terdiferensiasi cukup efektif dan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Hal ini karena dalam pembelajaran terdiferensiasi, guru mengidentifikasi tingkat penguasaan masing-masing siswa dan menyajikan materi dengan tingkat kesulitan yang sesuai. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of differentiated learning based on RME on the critical thinking skills of fifth-grade elementary school students. This study used quantitative methods with a quasi-experimental design. The study was conducted with fifth-grade students, involving 21 students in the experimental group and 21 students in the control group. Data were collected through tests, observations, and questionnaires. To determine whether the implementation of differentiated RME had a significant effect on improving students' critical thinking skills, a t-test was used. The results showed an N-gain value of 61.08 for the effectiveness of implementing differentiated learning, which falls into the "quite effective" category. Furthermore, the significance value obtained (sig = 0.00) indicates that the implementation of differentiated RME-based learning has a significant effect on students' critical thinking skills. Thus, it can be concluded that differentiated RME-based learning is quite effective and can improve students' critical thinking skills. This is because in differentiated learning, teachers identify each student's level of mastery and present material with an appropriate level of difficulty.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis sangat penting bagi siswa sekolah kejuruan, baik Media pembelajaran dibutuhkan sebagai salah satu faktor pendukung utama dalam keberlangsungan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi persepsi calon guru terhadap kebutuhan media pembelajaran di era 4.0, khususnya pada pelajaran matematika. Penelitian berjenis kualitatif deskriptif ini menggunakan metode survei pada 47 mahasiswa Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar pada salah satu Universitas di Yogyakarta. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket kuisioner. Analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran sangat diperlukan dalam proses belajar mengajar. Guru, sebagai tenaga pendidik, memiliki peran krusial dalam pemilihan media yang sesuai. Dengan tuntutan pendidikan abad 21, media pembelajaran harus sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa, materi pembelajaran, dan perkembangan zaman. Dengan demikian, integrasi media pembelajaran yang tepat guna sangat penting untuk diterapkan guna meningkatkan kualitas dan efektivitas proses belajar mengajar. Learning media is needed as one of the main supporting factors in the continuity of learning. This research aims to explore prospective teachers' perceptions of the need for learning media in the 4.0 era, especially in mathematics lessons. This descriptive qualitative research used a survey method on 47 elementary school Prospective teacher education students at a university in Yogyakarta. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire. Data analysis consists of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The research results show that learning media is very necessary for the teaching-learning process. Teachers, as educators, have a crucial role in selecting appropriate media. With the demands of 21st-century education, learning media must be appropriate to student characteristics, learning materials, and current developments. Thus, the integration of appropriate learning media is very important to implement to improve the quality and effectiveness of the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

Enhancing Mathematics Reasoning: Integrating Realistic Geometry with Interactive Multimedia. Objectives: This study is motivated by the importance of students' mathematical reasoning abilities. The aim of this research is to compare the mathematical reasoning skills of students who receive instruction through the Realistic Geometry model supported by interactive multimedia with those who undergo conventional teaching. Methods: The research method employed is a quasi-experimental design using the Static Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population for this study consists of students from SD 37 Pekanbaru, with the sample including 30 students from class IVa as the experimental group and 30 students from class IVd as the control group.  Findings: The results indicate that students who engaged in the Realistic Geometry instruction with interactive multimedia demonstrated superior mathematical reasoning abilities compared to those who experienced conventional learning. The quality of improvement in both approaches is interpreted as moderate. Abstract

Reading is one way that can be used as a basis in shaping learning. Literacy and numeracy skills are abilities that must be possessed and become demands in 21st century learning. The service program was carried out for seven months, beginning with the completion of the program in March, and the implementation of the service in August-September. This service activity is carried out with a classical approach, namely by delivering material about Riau Malay ethnomathematics which will later be used as a reference for teachers to write stories in books that will be used as Audible Books. Based on the training that has been carried out, it is concluded that the community service activities that have been carried out are running smoothly, the teachers are also very enthusiastic and motivated in writing stories with the theme of Malay culture. From this training activity, five picture books were produced with the theme of Malay culture.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan prediksi curah hujan bulanan menggunakan jaringan syaraf tiruan dengan beberapa fungsi pelatihan backpropagation.  Penelitian ini menggunakan data curah hujan di Stasiun Meteorologi Tabing Padang dari tahun 2001 sampai tahun 2012.  Analisis dilakukan terhadap jumlah lapisan tersembunyi, jumlah neuron pada lapisan tersembunyi, jumlah data latih, dan fungsi pelatihan. Dari penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa semakin banyak jumlah lapisan tersembunyi dan data latih yang digunakan semakin bagus hasil prediksi,  jumlah neuron pada lapisan tersembunyi tidak pengaruh terhadap akurasi prediksi, fungsi pelatihan yang paling efektif untuk mengenali pola curah hujan bulanan adalah traingdx dengan arsitektur (12,20,20,20,1), dengan keberhasilan  mengenali pola adalah 99,0%. Arsitektur ini digunakan untuk memprediksi curah hujan bulanan selama tahun 2013 dan tahun 2014 dan didapatkan hasil bahwa setiap bulannya adalah musim hujan dengan curah hujan lebih besar dari pada 150 mm.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tantangan yang dihadapi oleh siswa kelas lima di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 164 Pekanbaru dalam menyelesaikan soal pecahan, dengan penekanan pada kesalahan akurasi dan kesulitan pemahaman dalam pembagian. Pecahan merupakan topik penting dalam pendidikan matematika, namun siswa sering mengalami kesulitan baik dalam aspek prosedural maupun konseptual, yang diperparah oleh faktor-faktor seperti kurangnya motivasi dan metode pengajaran yang terbatas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi kesalahan akurasi umum dalam perhitungan pecahan dan menyelidiki hambatan konseptual spesifik dalam pembagian. Dengan menerapkan observasi partisipatif dan tes diagnostik yang melibatkan 10 soal pecahan, data diperoleh dari 34 siswa dan diverifikasi melalui wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan skor rata-rata 72,35, dengan 73,53% siswa mencapai skor tinggi (80), meskipun terdapat kesulitan signifikan dalam perkalian dan pembagian akibat kesalahan penyederhanaan dan kurangnya pemahaman tentang invers. Implikasi penelitian ini mencakup rekomendasi penggunaan alat bantu visual, latihan bertahap, dan integrasi teknologi untuk meningkatkan pengajaran pecahan di tingkat sekolah dasar.
