Abstract

Abstract

Purpose: The study aims to assess the potential of biogas derived from cow manure to replace LPG in rural households, while strengthening community resilience and improving economic conditions.Methodology: A descriptive quantitative approach was applied, using statistical analysis of data collected from 39 households in Mundu Village, Tulung District, Klaten Regency that actively use biogas. Results: The findings show that biogas usage leads to a 75% reduction in LPG consumption and generates monthly savings ranging from IDR250,000 to IDR300,000. The average initial investment of IDR8.6 million indicates strong long-term economic feasibility.Applications/Originality/Value: This research offers empirical evidence on the viability of biogas as an alternative household energy source in rural Indonesia, highlighting its capacity to decrease dependence on fossil fuels through locally available resources.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to examine the effects of the number of dairy cows, feed costs, clean water costs, barn area, and the use of milking technology on the gross income of dairy farmers in Pagerjurang Village, Boyolali Regency, within the context of climate change impacts.Methodology: Primary data were collected through interviews with 88 dairy farmers and analyzed using the Cobb-Douglas production function estimated with the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) method. Results: The findings show that the number of dairy cows, feed costs, and barn area have a positive and significant effect on farmers’ income. Conversely, clean water costs and the use of milking technology do not significantly affect income.Applications/Originality/Value: This study identifies the factors that play the most important role in improving farmer welfare and provides evidence that government support in increasing dairy cow ownership, expanding barn capacity, and improving feed management training is crucial for strengthening farmer resilience in facing climate change.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of Global Economic Policy Uncertainty (GEPU) on sectoral stock indices in Indonesia, specifically the financial, energy, and consumer cyclical sectors within the framework of the Arbitrage Pricing Theory (APT). Using monthly data from January 2021 to June 2025 and applying the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model, the research examines both the short- and long-run relationships between GEPU, key macroeconomic variables, and sectoral stock performance. The findings reveal that GEPU exerts a negative and significant influence on the financial and energy sectors, indicating capital withdrawal and higher risk premiums during periods of global uncertainty. In contrast, the consumer cyclical sector shows a positive response, suggesting short-term resilience as domestic consumption rebounded in the post-pandemic recovery phase. These results highlight that each sector responds differently to external shocks through distinct transmission channels: financial intermediation, commodity pricing, and consumer sentiment. The evidence provides valuable insights for both investors and policymakers to identify resilient sectors and to design strategic responses that enhance market stability and support sustainable economic growth (SDG 8) in periods of heightened global uncertainty.
