Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between poverty and environmental damage in Indonesia. This study consists time series data covering the period from 2000 to 2023, and utilized the vector error correction model. The short-run findings reveal that economic inequality exacerbates CO2 emissions, as affluent groups exploit resources and disadvantaged community resort to unsustainable practices. This is compounded by political and economic power weakening environmental regulations. Conversely, CO2 emissions exacerbate poverty, especially in rural areas reliant on natural resources, making them vulnerable to environmental shocks. A strong positive correlation exists between ecological footprint per capita and CO2 emissions, driven by resource consumption and fossil fuel reliance, though renewable energy adoption shows promise in mitigating emissions. In the long run, our findings align with the Environmental Kuznets Curve theory, suggesting that economic growth, supported by clean energy and sound environmental policies, ultimately leads to reduced environmental impact. These findings underscore the critical need for balanced strategies that simultaneously address poverty alleviation and promote ecological sustainability through inclusive policies and a transition to renewable energy.

Abstract

Pendidikan masa Khulafaur Rasyidin, yang ditandai dengan meluasnya kekuasaan Islam, mengalami transformasi sistem pendidikan. Perluasan wilayah Islam mempengaruhi perkembangan sistem pendidikan, yang dipengaruhi oleh kebijakan-kebijakan tegas para khalifah, sehingga pengajaran agama Islam melalui Al-Qur’an dan Hadis menjadi fokus utama. Transformasi ini tidak hanya terjadi pada lembaga pendidikan seperti masjid dan kuttab, tetapi juga pada materi pendidikan dan tenaga pendidik, terutama para sahabat Nabi. Tujuan tulisan ini untuk mengisi kekurangan dalam studi sebelumnya yang lebih bersifat normatif, dengan menganalisis dampak perluasan wilayah Islam terhadap sistem pendidikan, termasuk adaptasi materi dan inovasi dalam pengajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif berbasis studi literatur untuk menggali hubungan antara perubahan wilayah dengan transformasi dalam tempat pendidikan, materi pendidikan dan tenaga pendidik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perluasan wilayah Islam membawa dampak positif bagi sistem pendidikan, seperti pengembangan lembaga pendidikan yang lebih terstruktur dan meluas, peningkatan kualitas materi pendidikan yang mencakup fiqih, bahasa Arab dan ilmu-ilmu umum, serta keberagaman tenaga pendidik yang berasal dari sahabat Nabi. Transformasi ini berperan penting dalam membentuk peradaban Islam yang lebih maju dan terorganisir, serta memberikan pelajaran berharga bagi pendidikan masa kini.

Abstract

Internalization program especially student mobility program incampus is important not only to improve the quality of the campusbut also to improve the students’ quality. By joining the program, thestudent can learn many thing, such as culture, all about SDGs, ect.The main thing of the student mobility program is the EFL haschance to practice their skill to speaking during the program. Theprogram done virtually for 2 weeks. This research aims to describethe speaking improvement through student mobility program. Thisresearch belongs to pre-experimental design with pre-test and posttest. The population and sample is 10 students as the representativeof Indonesia campus, and the sampling technique used is totalsampling. The data was analysed statistically and provided thequalitative data to strength the research. There are five indicatorsthat have been improved, such as pronunciation, grammar,vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. It can be concluded thatthere is a significant different before and after joining studentmobility program.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the effect of dictogloss techniqueon improving the writing ability of students on descriptive text attenth grade students of SMK Muhammadiyah Kudus in the academicyear of 2019/2020. This study was classroom action research usingmodel of Kemmis dan McTaggart containing reconnaissance,planning, action dan observation and reflextion conducted in twocycles. The total samples of this study were all students of tenthgrade of SMK Muhammadiyah Kudus consisting of 70 students.Later on, the data were collected through observation, interview andtests using interview guidlines, observation sheet and English writingrubric and then analyzed using descriptive analysis. This studyshowed that the use of dictogloss technique was able to improvewriting skill of descriptive text for students. It can be seen from thedifferent means from pre test and post test in the way that mean scoreof pre test was 8, in the cycle one was 9.5, in the cycle two was11.63, and in the post test was 14,5. Furthermore, based on theapplication of its technique the students were able to generate theiridea to produce well organized descriptive texts. They were also ableto use the appropiate vocabulary, grammar, punctuation, spelling andcapitalization in the writing. During the teaching and learning processthey also showed positive responses towards the lesson,enthusiastically joined the teaching and learning activities and did thetask well.

Abstract

Needs that are difficult to fulfill due to the lack of a husband's income lead women to enter the public sector, causing a phenomenon called the dual role of women. This research aims to explore how the dual role is experienced by working women in Kabanjahe District, Karo Regency, North Sumatra Province, and its role in fulfilling the hierarchy of needs by Abraham Maslow. The results of this study show that the majority of working women in Kabanjahe District focus on fulfilling physiological needs, which are the most basic needs in Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs. The majority of them find it difficult to fulfill other needs because the income earned is focused on fulfilling physiological needs. This phenomenon seems to support and align with Abraham Maslow's theory, that humans will not have time to fulfill other needs if their physiological needs have not been met.

Abstract

Schizophrenia is a severe mental disorder that is unable to recognize realistically and loses self-view or is unable to assess oneself or measure one's own strengths and weaknesses. One of the causes of schizophrenia is psychological factors, namely the inability to overcome existing problems. Objective : to determine the effect of cognitif therapy on adherence to taking medication in patients with mental disorders with schizophrenia at the Jekulo Kudus Jalma Sehat Foundation. Method: The type of this research is a quasi-experimental with a cross-sectional approach, the population of this study is 63 respondents. Results: The results of the statistical analysis of the Willcoxon test obtained p value = 0.001 which is less than the significance level ɑ <0.05. then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. there is "The Effect of Cognitif Therapy on Compliance with Taking Medication in Patients with Mental Disorders with Schizophrenia at the Jalma Sehat Jekulo Kudus Foundation". Conclusions: there is "The Effect of Cognitif Therapy on Compliance with Taking Medication in Patients with Mental Disorders with Schizophrenia at the Jalma Sehat Jekulo Kudus Foundation".

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance SMEs' understanding of trade zakat and improve their compliance with zakat obligations in Malang City. Using a quantitative approach and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), the study analyzes data collected from SME owners in Malang. The program addresses key factors influencing willingness to pay zakat, including entrepreneurs’ attitudes, zakat literacy, and the role of zakat administrators. The program consists of training sessions that cover the importance and potential of trade zakat, the Fiqh of zakat on trade, and practical methods for calculating and paying zakat. The findings highlight that zakat administration significantly impact SMEs’ willingness to pay zakat, while attitudes toward zakat and religiosity also play crucial roles. Additionally, the results show that attitude and zakat literacy do not affect SMEs’ willingness to pay zakat. The program’s evaluation demonstrates that strengthening zakat literacy and improving zakat administration can encourage SMEs to fulfil their zakat obligations, contributing to poverty alleviation and socio-economic development. These findings offer valuable insights for optimizing zakat collection and utilization to maximize its potential in supporting community welfare.

Abstract

TikTok is one of the popular applications that contain short-video sharing. Every year, the number of users grows up in every country. They use TikTok not only as the media for entertainment and business but also as the media for learning. The aim of this research is to describe the effect of the TikTok application to improve students’ speaking skills. This research belongs to quasi-experimental research with group pre-post-test design involving 32  students in Diploma of Midwifery Program Universitas Muhammadiyah Kudus as the population. The sampling technique is total sampling with the experimental group (16 students) and control group (16 students). To know the students’ speaking skills, there are four components that must be measured, such as vocabulary, fluency, pronunciation, and comprehension. Moreover, the students’ score has been classified into five categories, they are very good, good, medium, low, and failed. After treatment, the score of speaking ability is improved for the experimental group. The vocabulary increases 45,6%, fluency increases 40,6%, pronunciation increases 31,6%, and comprehension increases 32,8% from the pre-test score. TikTok is a useful application that not only improves  speaking ability but also improves the students’ creativity, motivation, and vocabulary.If the students have wrong in speaking, they not only get the academic punishment but also digital punishment.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to understand the procedures and challenges involved in the disposal of regional property at the Financial and Revenue Management Agency of Hulu Sungai Selatan Regency, following the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Effective management of regional property is essential as it supports the primary revenue of a region. The study employs a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach, focusing on illustrating the research object, organizational structure, main tasks and functions, and the detailed system of regional property disposal. The research findings reveal that the SOP for regional property disposal issued by the Hulu Sungai Selatan Regency Government has been well-implemented and aligns with the prescribed standards. The SOP serves as an effective guideline for property disposal, although challenges persist during the disposal process, including issues related to the property itself and the accompanying documentation. Despite these challenges, the disposal procedures at the Financial and Revenue Management Agency have adhered to the established SOP. The main obstacles encountered include insufficient documentation and properties not meeting the disposal criteria. In conclusion, the study highlights the critical role of strategic asset management in the public sector, particularly in the disposal of regional property. The recommendations provided aim to address the existing challenges and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the property disposal process, ensuring better resource utilization and enhanced financial performance. This research contributes valuable insights for policymakers and public administrators seeking to optimize asset management practices.
