Abstract

 AbstractThis research is motivated by the important of information submission by news listeners as a result of listening to the news. Researcher observed the error reading of news by the newsreader in “Kalbar dalam Berita” program station TVRI West Kalimantan period February 2016. This study has a focus on the study of mistake differentiation, pronunciation, and intonation contained in the process of reading the news. The method used is descriptive research with the form of qualitative. The object of this research is newsreader in "Kalbar in Berita" program in stasius TVRI West Kalimantan in February 2016. Data collection is done by observing the video recording of news readings obtained from the administrative office of TVRI station West Kalimantan. Conclusion of this research is finding that happened some mistake cause by several things, such as too fast reading, uneasy condition, and inaccuracy in reading news. In total, there were 325 mistakes of differentiation, 509 mistakes of pronunciations, and 50 intonation mistakes made by some news readers, namely Asri Sabani, Yadi Saputro, Ida Robiatul Ula, Ari Munandar, Ayu Wulandari, Christina Novilia, Slamet Riki Haryadi, Mulyo Widodo, and Sri Maryanti. Abstract

Abstrak: Alasan peneliti memilih meneliti debat pasangan calon presiden dan wakil presiden karena debat merupakan acara yang formal sehingga harus digunakan bahasa yang formal. Jadi, dapat dipelajari cara berbicara yang baik dan benar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dan berbentuk kualitatif. Data penelitian kebahasaan berupa lafal, diksi, intonasi, kalimat efektif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini, yaitu studi dokumenter. Adapun alat yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah peneliti (instrumen kunci) dan tabel data. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang telah dilakukan oleh peneliti terhadap penggunaan bahasa oleh moderator debat pasangan calon presiden dan wakil presiden tahun 2014, peneliti menemukan 478 kesalahan lafal, 28 kesalahan diksi, 13 kesalahan intonasi, dan 59 kesalahan kalimat efektif. Kata Kunci: Bahasa, Moderator, Debat Abstract: The reason of the researcher to observe the Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates debate is because of this debate is a formal event which requires formal language. Thus, it is suitable to observe how to speak the language properly.  This research applies descriptive method and qualitative form. Research data, such as pronunciation, diction, intonation, and effective sentences. Technique of collecting data is documentary study. Tools of collecting data are the researcher (key instrument) and data tables. Based on the analysis of data on the language used by moderator of presidential and vice presidential candidates debate 2014 can be decuded 478 pronunciation mistakes, 28 diction mistakes, 13 intonation mistakes,  and 59 ineffective sentences mistakes. Abstract

Photomath dalam menyelesaikan persoalan matematika. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian berupa tanggapan pengguna aplikasi Photomath yang diperoleh dengan teknik wawancara semi terstruktur kepada 7 responden penelitian yang merupakan mahasiswa S-1, Program Studi Teknik Informatika Fakultas Teknik Universitas Tanjungpura semester dua tahun ajaran 2022-2023 yang telah menggunakan dan masih menggunakan Photomath dalam membantu menyelesaikan soal matematika. Data dalam penelitian ini dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis data tematik untuk menemukan beberapa tema persepsi terhadap penggunaan aplikasi Photomath. Hasil penelitian menemukan beberapa tema persepsi, yaitu persepsi kemudahan penggunaan, persepsi kegunaan, persepsi kehati-hatian, dan persepsi keberlanjutan penggunaan.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal perceptions of affordability, support and obstacles to implementing the Independent-MBKM Internship Program in the Indonesian Language Education Study Program, FKIP, Untan. This research utilizes research data in the form of perceptions of students participating in the 2021-2023 Independent Internship—MBKM program, totaling 26 people regarding the affordability of the program. Research data in the form of perceptions from 7 teaching and educational staff regarding support and obstacles to implementation. The data obtained was analyzed descriptively with the help of the SPSS application. This research succeeded in revealing that students responded positively to the ease of accessing the program. This research also succeeded in revealing that teaching and educational staff have provided good support to students and believe that the Independent Internship program is able to prepare students for the world of work and increase employment opportunities. The obstacles experienced were course recognition and limited time.

Abstract

The problem of this research is the Melayu language greeting system in Sungai Raya, Bengkayang Regency based on the form of greeting words, various greeting words and types of greeting words. The purpose of the study in general is to describe the Melayu greeting system in Sungai Raya, Bengkayang Regency. Its specific purpose is to describe the form of greeting words, various greeting words and types of Melayu greeting words in Sungai Raya, Bengkayang Regency. The method used in this study is the descriptive method. This form of research is qualitative. The collection of research data was carried out using questionnaire techniques, interview techniques and record techniques. The source of data in this study is native Melayu speakers in Sungai Raya, Bengkayang Regency and research data, namely words that contain greetings to the Melayu community in Sungai Pangkalan I Village, Bengkayang Regency. Based on research data, it was concluded that the form of the Melayu greeting word in Sungai Raya, Bengkayang Regency was determined based on position, gender, age, family, speech situation and order of birth. The kinds of Melayu greeting words in Sungai Raya, Bengkayang Regency, are determined based on greetings in the family, greetings in the community, official greetings, greetings in religion, greetings for guests, and greetings in written language. The type of Melayu greeting word in Sungai Raya, Bengkayang Regency, is determined based on noun greeting, adjective greeting, pronoun greeting and pungut word greeting.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of learning to write on the ability to write review texts in class VIII students at MTs Ushuluddin Sungai Jaga A, Bengkayang Regency. The research method used is descriptive to describe the influence of learning to write on students' ability to write review texts, using the form of quantitative research. The research sample was 40 class VIII students at MTs Ushuluddin Sungai Jaga A, Bengkayang Regency, academic year 2023/2024. The data collection technique is a test technique in the form of essay questions. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive statistics. The results of this study show that there is an influence of learning to write on the ability to write review texts in class VIII students at MTs Ushuluddin Sungai Jaga A. There is an influence of learning to write simultaneously on the ability to write the structure of review texts by 0.000 below the predetermined significance level value of 0.05 , there is an influence of learning to write simultaneously on the use of aspects of linguistic rules of the review text of 0.000 below the predetermined significance level value, namely 0.05, there is an influence of learning to write simultaneously on the accuracy aspect of the content of the review text of 0.000 below the significance level value that has been determined determined to be 0.05, and the ability to write review texts for class VIII students at MTs Ushuluddin Sungai Jaga A, Bengkayang Regency. The average score in the structural aspect is 85,5, the average score in the linguistic rules aspect is 64,7, the average score in the content accuracy aspect is 73,3 and the average score in the ability to write review texts for class VIII students MTs Ushuluddin Sungai Jaga A Bengkayang Regency from these three aspects is 75 in the capable category.

Abstract

This study aims to find out and explain the vocabulary of local fruits in the Dayak Bakati language of the Raran dialect in Bengkayang. This research is qualitative with a descriptive method. The data collection techniques used include observation techniques, interview techniques, recording techniques, record techniques, and documentation techniques. The researcher's data collection tool is a key instrument and is assisted by other equipment such as question lists, mobile phones, and stationery. The source of data in this study is the Dayak Bakati language, the Rara dialect in Bengkayang which is spoken by residents of Pejampi Hamlet, Mayak Village, Seluas District. The data of this study are all vocabulary of local fruits in the Dayak Bakati language of the Rara dialect in Bengkayang. The results of this study showed that 51 local fruit vocabulary was found in the form of terms consisting of 43 data based on monomorphic forms (single words) and there were 8 data based on polymorphemic. Furthermore, based on the type of meaning and function in the vocabulary of local fruits, 51 vocabulary words have lexical meanings, 16 vocabulary words have cultural meanings, and 51 functions of local fruits.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form of the lexicon, the maintenance of the traditional game lexicon in the Ketapang Malay language, and its implementation in Indonesian language learning. The form of research used is qualitative and quantitative with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques are face-to-face conversation, interviews, recording and notes, and questionnaires. This research resulted in 52 lexicon data of traditional Malay Ketapang games, namely based on the names of 18 lexicon games, 13 lexicon tools and materials, and 21 lexicon activities. The forms of lingual units are monomorphemic 18 lexicon, polymorphemic 21 lexicon, and phrase 10 lexicon. The understanding of the Ketapang Malay community based on the combined age group of 18 game name lexicon category I is 86%, category II is 6%, and category III is 8.06%. 12 lexicon tools and materials category I 93.59%, category II 2,82%, and category III 3.59%. 21 activity lexicon category I 97.9%), category II 1.83%, and category III 0.32%. The traditional Malay game lexicon Ketapang still survives in the community. The form of Indonesian language learning text related to the traditional Malay game lexicon Ketapang is descriptive text.

Abstract

Purpose: Teachers' attitudes towards multicultural classroom management determine civic education in multicultural classrooms. Therefore, this study aims to examine teachers' perceptions of managing multicultural classrooms in Singkawang, a city known for its high tolerance in Indonesia.Methodology: A qualitative research design was employed, utilizing semi-structured interviews to collect data from eight teachers (four male and four female) aged 32 to 52 years, representing Dayak, Melayu, and Javanese ethnicities. These teachers, working at primary and junior high schools, taught subjects such as Indonesian language, general classroom topics, and science. Purposive sampling was used to select participants, ensuring diverse cultural representation. Data collection occurred over October-November 2024, with interviews conducted in Indonesian and transcribed for thematic analysis based on Braun and Clarke's framework.Findings: Thematic analysis revealed six major themes: flexible classroom management, development of tolerance values, development of unity values, development of equitable services, utilization of local culture and wisdom, and Collaboration between students with different cultural backgrounds. Teachers reported the importance of adapting pedagogical approaches and curriculum content to accommodate diverse cultural needs, creating an inclusive and respectful learning environment.Significance: This study benefits educators, school administrators, and policymakers by providing insights into effective strategies for managing multicultural classrooms. It offers a practical framework to enhance cultural understanding, tolerance, and unity, contributing to the broader goals of multicultural education and social cohesion in diverse communities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas pentingnya pelatihan penggunaan aplikasi Zotero dan Connected Papers untuk mahasiswa FKIP Untan dalam mengelola referensi dan penulisan karya ilmiah. Zotero, sebagai alat manajemen referensi, membantu peneliti dalam mengorganisir dan mengutip sumber secara efisien. Aplikasi ini memungkinkan peneliti menyimpan, mengatur, dan mengutip referensi dengan mudah serta meningkatkan kolaborasi dan berbagi sumber daya. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam menggunakan Zotero dan Connected Paper untuk menghindari plagiasi dan menyusun bibliografi sesuai gaya tertentu, serta mempersiapkan mereka dalam menyelesaikan tugas akhir dan mengumpulkan referensi relevan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada 21 Oktober 2024 di Gedung Kuliah Bersama B dengan peserta sebanyak 46 mahasiswa semester pertama. Proses pelaksanaan melibatkan metode ceramah untuk penyampaian materi, demonstrasi praktik penggunaan aplikasi, diskusi interaktif untuk menjawab pertanyaan peserta, serta bimbingan kelompok dan individu dalam penginstalan dan pengoperasian aplikasi. Tahapan kegiatan mencakup perencanaan dengan studi pendahuluan, pelaksanaan pelatihan, serta evaluasi untuk memastikan capaian luaran, yakni peningkatan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam kajian literatur yang mendukung penulisan artikel ilmiah sesuai standar nasional maupun internasional. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa peserta dapat mengoperasikan aplikasi Zotero dan Connected Paper untuk mencari dan mengelola referensi penelitian dengan baik. Namun, terdapat hambatan seperti tidak semua peserta memiliki laptop, yang membatasi mereka dalam mengikuti praktik menggunakan aplikasi Zotero yang memerlukan perangkat tersebut. Selain itu, keterbatasan akses ke fitur premium pada Connected Paper juga menjadi kendala bagi beberapa peserta dalam mengakses lebih banyak kata kunci dan artikel terkait.
