Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk animate (fauna/hewan) dan fungsi informasional metafora dalam mantra masyarakat Melayu Galing Sambas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah Batra yang ada di Kecamatan Galing. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik perekaman, pengamatan langsung, dan teknik wawancara. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah kata, frasa, klausa, dan kalimat metaforis dalam mantra Masyarakat Melayu Galing Sambas. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat metafora bentuk animate (flora/hewan) pada mantra Masyarakat Melayu Galing Sambas yang merujuk manusia, keindahan dan jin. Analisis mengenai fungsi metafora menujukkan bahwa mantra masyarakat Melayu Galing Sambas memiliki fungsi informasional kegunaan mantra, media yang digunakan, tujuan mantra, tempat, dan waktu.   Kata kunci: metafora, mantra. Abstract: This study aims to describe the animate form and the informational function of metaphor in Mantra Galing Sambas Malay Community. The method of research used is descriptive qualitative. The source of data of this study was Batra in Galing District. Data collection techniques used in the study were recording, direct observation and interview techniques. The data were words, clauses, and metaphoric sentences used in Mantra Galing Sambas Malay Community. The result shows that Mantra Galing Sambas Malay Community contains animate form of metaphor referred to human being, beauty, and spirit. In addition, the analysis shows that Mantra Galing Sambas Malay Community has the informational function, media used, purpose, place, and time.   Keywords: metaphor, mantra.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi pelaksanaan kegiatan belajar dan mengajar tingkat sekolah dasar di Kalimantan Barat pada masa pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara semi terstruktur terhadap guru-guru di sekolah dasar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat dua jenis pola pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru-guru di masa pandemi COVID-19 yaitu pembelajaran daring dan luring. Pertama kegiatan pembelajaran daring yang umumnya dilakukan oleh guru melalui aplikasi media sosial berupa WhatsApp. Kegiatan belajar dan mengajar dilakukan dengan  cara mengirim teks, video, rekaman suara, dan power point, kepada siswa. Kedua kegiatan pembelajaran luring yang dilakukan oleh guru dengan memberikan tugas mingguan, pembelajaran secara berkelompok, dan pembelajaran dengan les. Hambatan-hambatan yang dihadapi oleh guru selama proses kegiatan belajar dan mengajar di masa pandemi COVID 19 di antaranya adalah kurangnya ketersediaan perangkat pembelajaran daring, sumber daya manuasia (SDM) yang kurang mumpuni, dan sikap negatif baik itu berasal dari guru, siswa, maupun orang tua

Abstract

This study investigates the obstacles that teachers faced using Google Classroom as a platform for Distance Learning (PJJ) during the COVID-19 pandemic at the elementary school level. This study also examines how elementary school teachers overcome the obstacles they experience while conducting distance learning through Google Classroom. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. In-depth semi-structured interviews were used to collect data from 8 teacher respondents who actively use Google Classroom in teaching activities in Pontianak. The findings indicate that the obstacles faced by teachers during learning activities are limited facilities and infrastructure, lack of technical support, difficulties in controlling students, and lack of human resources. Teachers have made maximum efforts to overcome these obstacles by utilizing available facilities and infrastructure and affordable technical support and organizing independent training activities and peer-to-peer tutorial activities related to distance learning, such as controlling student learning and improving human resources quality.

Abstract

The spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia since the early March 2020 has change most sectors of human’s life together with  educational activities. Many schools tried to adapt to conduct instructional activities from the distance and students’ learning activities were implemented from home via online. Teachers and students were expected to be able to use online learning flatforms and media to support their activites for the sake of avoiding the spread of the virus. This study aims to investigate the teachers’ motives for using Google Classroom as a media for distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic at the Elementary School Level. This research applied a qualitative descriptive study and   semi-structured interviews was utilized to collect data from eight respondents of three elementary schools who are actively using Google Classroom in teaching and learning activities in Pontianak City. The findings indicate that  there are 5 motives for using Google Classroom during the COVID-19 pandemic at elementary schools in Pontianak City which cover  ease of  access and use,  application shopistiation, availability of  facilities and infrastructure, school policy, and  level of teacher and students' digital literacy skills.

Abstract

E-Learning has developed rapidly, with many Learning Management Systems (LMS) being used to support learning. The COVID-19 pandemic has provided great opportunities for these developments, one of which is MOODLE LMS which lecturers and students can use to support teaching-learning activities. This study aims to investigate the perspectives of students of the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, in a state university of West Kalimantan, on the use of the institutional e-learning facilities, namely MOODLE LMS in terms of ease of use and usefulness in the distance learning process amid the Covid-19 pandemic. This study was conducted with qualitative research methods and data collection in the form of semi-structured interviews. This study found that 8 (eight) of the interviewed respondents reported that the MOODLE LMS was very easy to use, especially when logging in, accessing materials, receiving and submitting assignments, and learning about the instructional system when navigating it. MOODLE LMS also allows for quick and on-time assignment submission, provides the convenience of interacting with lecturers, makes learning more interesting and fun, and increases learning motivation. This study is expected to encourage more educators, especially lecturers, to use MOODLE LMS to engage their students in more meaningful learning and complete quality face-to-face interaction in post-pandemic.

Abstract

Mantra sebagai bentuk puisi tradisional merupakan warisan dari kehidupan primitif  zaman purba atau prasejarah yang berkembang sampai hari ini. Selain itu, mantra mengandung bahasa sugestif dan magis bagi para pengamalnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan metafora bentuk manusia (human) pada  mantra Sinding Badan masyarakat Melayu Sambas. Metode dipahami dengan sudut pandang pendekatan linguistik fungsional sistemik dan kajian semiotik sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode wawancara. Sumber data penelitian  delapan judul mantra Penyinding Badan yang didapatkan dari narasumber yang berasal dari masyarakat Melayu Sambas. Penelitian ini berhasil mengungkap bahwa pada mantra Sinding Badan ditemukan bentuk-bentuk manusia yang direalisasikan dengan sapaan manusia, pronomina persona pertama tunggal dan pronomina persona kedua tunggal, pronomina posesif pertama tunggal dan pronomina posesif kedua tunggal, dan substitusi nama manusia. Penggunaan bentuk manusia yang dominan dalam mantra adalah metafora bentuk manusia dengan realisasi pronomina posesif “-ku” dan beberapa penggunaan “-mu”. Hal ini menandakan bahwa tingkat “keakuan” atau tujuan mantra digunakan sesuai untuk memberikan pengaruh kepada pemantra sebagai “aku” dalam mantra. Di samping itu,  banyak juga digunakan metafora bentuk manusia yang direalisasikan dengan nama manusia, yakni manusia-manusia yang telah dipercaya oleh Allah SWT untuk memimpin dan terkenal mempunyai kekuatan tertentu. Kata kunci: metafora, manusia, mantra, semiotik sosialThe metaphor of the human form in the oral literature of the Sinding Badan mantra of theSambas Malay community AbstractMantra, as a form of traditional poetry, is a legacy from ancient or prehistoric primitive life that has developed to this day. In addition, mantras contain suggestive and magical language for practitioners. This study aims to describe the use of the metaphor of the human form in the Sinding Badan mantra of the Sambas Malay community. The method is understood from a systemic functional linguistic approach and social semiotic studies standpoint. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method with the interview method. The research data source for the eight titles of the Penyinding Badan mantra was obtained from informants from the Sambas Malay community. This study revealed that in the Sinding Badan mantra, human forms are found which are realized with human greetings, the first singular personal pronoun, and the second single personal pronoun, the first single possessive pronoun and the second singular possessive pronoun, and the substitution of human names. The predominant use of the human form in mantras is the metaphor of the human form with the realization of the possessive pronoun "-ku" and some uses of "-mu." This indicates that the level of "I" or the purpose of the mantra is used accordingly to give effect to the caster as the "I" in the mantra. In addition, many human-form metaphors are also used, which are realized by the name of humans, namely humans who have been trusted by Allah SWT to lead and are known to have certain powers. Keywords: metaphor, human, mantra, social semiotics

Abstract

This study aims to explore the perceptions of students who take Compulsory Curriculum Courses (MKWK) courses on the application of Case Based Learning by MKWK lecturers at Tanjungpura University, especially in Indonesian Language, Islamic Religion, Catholicism, Citizenship Education, and Pancasila courses. This study applied a qualitative descriptive method with semi-structured interview data collection techniques. Using thematic data analysis techniques, this study succeeded in revealing students' perceptions of the application of the CBL learning model in MKWK lectures. They experienced a learning process in the form of affordability of knowledge towards skills, activeness in class, feelings of anxiety and a sense of empowerment, as well as professional understanding and understanding of community life. Overall students respond positively to the application of the CBL learning model.

Abstract

Photomath dalam menyelesaikan persoalan matematika. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian berupa tanggapan pengguna aplikasi Photomath yang diperoleh dengan teknik wawancara semi terstruktur kepada 7 responden penelitian yang merupakan mahasiswa S-1, Program Studi Teknik Informatika Fakultas Teknik Universitas Tanjungpura semester dua tahun ajaran 2022-2023 yang telah menggunakan dan masih menggunakan Photomath dalam membantu menyelesaikan soal matematika. Data dalam penelitian ini dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis data tematik untuk menemukan beberapa tema persepsi terhadap penggunaan aplikasi Photomath. Hasil penelitian menemukan beberapa tema persepsi, yaitu persepsi kemudahan penggunaan, persepsi kegunaan, persepsi kehati-hatian, dan persepsi keberlanjutan penggunaan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap persepsi peserta magang terhadap Program Magang Mandiri MBKM. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa respon keterampilan profesional, keterampilan sosial, dan tempat magang yang diperoleh melalui kuesioner di Google Forms. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 26 orang yang merupakan peserta pelatihan Magang Mandiri-MBKM di Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia, FKIP, Untan angkatan 2021, 2022, dan 2023. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan bantuan SPSS aplikasi. Penelitian ini berhasil mengungkap respon positif mahasiswa terhadap tingkat keterampilan profesional dan kemampuan sosial yang mereka peroleh selama mengikuti program. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mengungkapkan kepuasan responden terhadap tempat magang sebagai lingkungan belajar yang positif bagi mereka.

Abstract

Kegiatan workshop ini dilatarbelakangi dari hasil identifikasi awal mengenai kebutuhan mahasiswa dalam menerapkan aplikasi manajerial referensi sebagai alat untuk mempermudah sitasi, penelusuran kajian pustaka, dan usaha meminimalisir plagiarisme dalam penulisan karya ilmiah. Berdasarkan analisis kebutuhan tersebut, kegiatan ini bertujuan memberikan pemahaman kepada mahasiswa FKIP Untan semester pertama, dalam penggunaan Mendeley dalam penulisan karya ilmiah. Metode dalam workshop ini menggunakan metode ceramah, tanya jawab, demonstrasi, dan bimbingan berkelompok maupun pribadi. Kegiatan ini terbagi atas tiga tahapan. Pertama, tahap perencanaan yang berupa identifikasi masalah dan penyusunan proposal. Kedua, tahap pelaksanaan, yakni pelatihan Mendeley dan pendampingan. Ketiga, tahap evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan  menunjukkan sikap positif dari mahasiswa yang dimulai dengan rasa keingintahuan yang tinggi dan kemampuan dalam memasang dan mengoperasikan Mendeley dalam lembar kerja ilmiah mereka. The background of this workshop activity was the initial identification results regarding the needs of students in implementing reference managerial applications as a tool to facilitate citations, search literature, and efforts to minimize plagiarism in writing scientific papers. Based on this needs analysis, this activity aims to provide an understanding to first semester FKIP Untan students, in the use of Mendeley in writing scientific papers. The method in this workshop uses lecture methods, question and answer, demonstrations, and group and personal guidance. This activity is divided into three stages. First, the planning stage in the form of problem identification and preparation of proposals. Second, the implementation stage, namely Mendeley training and mentoring. Third, the evaluation stage. The results of the activity showed a positive attitude from students which started with a high curiosity and ability to install and operate Mendeley in their scientific worksheets.
