Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan perbedaan dan pengaruh metode CIRC dan teknik membaca SQ4R dengan metode ceramah terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman interpretatif siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Sungai Raya. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode ekperimen semu (quasy eksperiemen design). Hasil rata-rata kemampuan awal (pretest) membaca pemahaman interpretatif siswa  kelas eksperimen sebesar 45,79, sedangkan kelas kontrol sebesar 48,82. Hasil yang berbeda ditemukan pada kemampuan akhir (posttest) membaca pemahaman interpretaif siswa kelas eksperimen setelah diberikan perlakuan  metode CIRC dan teknik membaca SQ4R sebesar 81,32, sedangkan kelas kontrol dengan metode ceramah sebesar 72,24.   Kata Kunci: CIRC, SQ4R, Membaca Pemahaman Interpretatif   Abstract: Purpose of this research was to describe the difference and effect methods CIRC and techniques read SQ4R with lecture methods to impact ability interpretative reading comprehension seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Sungai Raya. This research method is a quasi-experimental methods (quasy eksperiemen design). The average yield capability initial (pretest) interpretative reading comprehension experimental class students at 45,79, while the control class is 48,82. The different results found in the ability of the end (posttest) reading comprehension interpretaif experimental class students after being given treatment methods CIRC and techniques read SQ4R at 81,32, while the control class with a lecture at 72,24. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan membahas sifat monologis pada latar belakang makalah berjudul Bahasa sebagai Alat Komunikasi, Citra Pikiran, dan Kepribadian, serta dapat mengidentifikasi dan memperbaiki kalimat yang tidak monologis pada latar belakang makalah berjudul Bahasa sebagai Alat Komunikasi, Citra Pikiran, dan Kepribadian. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori bidang linguistik mengenai ciri monologis teks akademik. Jenis penelitian ini tergolong dalam penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, karena penelitian ini mendeskripsikan penggunaan kalimat monologis dalam teks akademik secara kualitatif. Pengambilan sumber data dilakukan dengan teknik purposive dengan kriteria makalah yang diambil mengandung kalimat yang tidak monologis. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan dokumentasi berbentuk data bahasa tulisan dari latar belakang makalah berjudul Bahasa sebagai Alat Komunikasi, Citra Pikiran, dan Kepribadian. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini mengadopsi teknik penelitian Tarigan (dalam Taib, dkk, 2022: 38), yakni analisis kesalahan berbahasa yang terdiri atas pengidentifikasian data, pengklasifikasian data, penjelasan data, dan penyimpulan hasil penelitian. Hasil penelitian menemukan dari 17 kalimat, terdapat 9 kalimat monologis dan 8 kalimat tidak monologis. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa latar belakang makalah berjudul Bahasa sebagai Alat Komunikasi, Citra Pikiran, dan Kepribadian memenuhi ciri monologis teks akademik sebesar 53% dan tidak memenuhi ciri monologis teks akademik dengan persentase 47%. Semua kalimat yang monologis pada latar belakang makalah tersebut menggunakan kalimat indikatif-deklaratif. Dari 8 kalimat yang tidak monologis, terdapat 3 kalimat proposisi-interogatif dan 5 kalimat yang bernada dialogis. Secara umum, latar belakang makalah berjudul Bahasa sebagai Alat Komunikasi, Citra Pikiran, dan Kepribadian tidak memenuhi sifat monologis yang dibuktikan dengan kalimat tidak monologis berjumlah hampir setengah dari jumlah keseluruhan kalimat, sehingga makalah tersebut kurang memenuhi ciri keilmiahan teks akademik ditinjau dari sifat monologisnya.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning   model on the writing skills of procedural texts of grade IV students of SDN 5 Rasau Jaya. The research method used is a quantitative method with the design used, namely One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The independent variable (X) in this study is the Project Based Learning model, while the dependent variable (Y) is the skill of writing procedure texts. The population included in this study is grade IV students at Sekolah SD Negeri 5 Rasau Jaya. The sample in this study was class IV B students totaling 19 people, consisting of 12 male students and 7 female students. The technique used to determine the class for this study is purposive sampling or purposeful samples. The data collection instruments used in this study were observation sheets and procedure text writing skills assessment sheets. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the difference in the average pretest score in this study was 64.14 while the average posttest score was 72,68. Hypothesis testing using the Wilcoxon Test, because based on the results of the Normality Test the data obtained are abnormally distributed. The result of the Wilcoxon Test is 0.00 which means that the significant level states that the is accepted. Abstract

This study aims to determine the literal reading comprehension skills of grade V students of SD Negeri 1 Rasau Jaya. The research method used is qualitative method with descriptive qualitative approach. The population included in this study is grade V students at Sekolah SD Negeri 1 Rasau Jaya. The sample in this study was class V A students totaling 27 people, consisting of 15 male students and 12 female students. The technique used for classroom research is the test method. The data collection instruments used in this study were question sheets and literacy comprehension reading skills assessment sheets. Based on the results of data analysis that researchers have done, the results of literal comprehension reading skills in high grades of SD Negeri 1 Rasau Jaya using the test method, namely, 1) the main idea aspect obtained an average score of 74.07 and an average success percentage score of 74%, 2) the supporting idea aspect obtained an average score of 30.37 and an average success percentage score of 30%, 3) the aspect of understanding information (5W+1H) obtained an average score of 79.62% and an average success percentage score of 79%.

Abstract

Pembelajaran yang mengandung nilai pendidikan karakter dapat mengoptimalkan pengembangan kemampuan peserta didik dalam membentuk peradaban manusia yang baik, dengan mengandung nilai kebhinekaan global dapat mengembangkan sikap, dan etika yang menghargai dan memahami keragaman budaya dan perbedaan yang ada. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan hasil analisis muatan nilai kebhinekaan global pada Buku Siswa Kelas 6 Tema 2 Persatuan dalam Perbedaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan sumber penelitian dari Buku Siswa Kelas 6 Tema 2 Persatuan dalam Perbedaan dan data dari muatan nilai subelemen kebhinekaan global. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis dokumen. Hasil dari penelitian yang sudah dilakukan temuan nilai berkebhinekaan global pada materi dan kegiatan belajar dalam Buku Siswa Kelas 6 Tema 2 Persatuan dalam Perbedaan yaitu Subelemen mengenal dan menghargai budaya 65%, Subelemen komunikasi dan interaksi antarbudaya 31%, Subelemen refleksi dan tanggung jawab terhadap pengalaman kebhinekaan 57%, dan subelemen berkeadilan sosial 54%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas pentingnya pelatihan penggunaan aplikasi Zotero dan Connected Papers untuk mahasiswa FKIP Untan dalam mengelola referensi dan penulisan karya ilmiah. Zotero, sebagai alat manajemen referensi, membantu peneliti dalam mengorganisir dan mengutip sumber secara efisien. Aplikasi ini memungkinkan peneliti menyimpan, mengatur, dan mengutip referensi dengan mudah serta meningkatkan kolaborasi dan berbagi sumber daya. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam menggunakan Zotero dan Connected Paper untuk menghindari plagiasi dan menyusun bibliografi sesuai gaya tertentu, serta mempersiapkan mereka dalam menyelesaikan tugas akhir dan mengumpulkan referensi relevan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada 21 Oktober 2024 di Gedung Kuliah Bersama B dengan peserta sebanyak 46 mahasiswa semester pertama. Proses pelaksanaan melibatkan metode ceramah untuk penyampaian materi, demonstrasi praktik penggunaan aplikasi, diskusi interaktif untuk menjawab pertanyaan peserta, serta bimbingan kelompok dan individu dalam penginstalan dan pengoperasian aplikasi. Tahapan kegiatan mencakup perencanaan dengan studi pendahuluan, pelaksanaan pelatihan, serta evaluasi untuk memastikan capaian luaran, yakni peningkatan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam kajian literatur yang mendukung penulisan artikel ilmiah sesuai standar nasional maupun internasional. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa peserta dapat mengoperasikan aplikasi Zotero dan Connected Paper untuk mencari dan mengelola referensi penelitian dengan baik. Namun, terdapat hambatan seperti tidak semua peserta memiliki laptop, yang membatasi mereka dalam mengikuti praktik menggunakan aplikasi Zotero yang memerlukan perangkat tersebut. Selain itu, keterbatasan akses ke fitur premium pada Connected Paper juga menjadi kendala bagi beberapa peserta dalam mengakses lebih banyak kata kunci dan artikel terkait.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Wordwall media on improving the critical thinking skills of fourth-grade students in Integrated Science and Social Studies (IPAS) at SDN Inpres Kombo. The background of this study is the low critical thinking ability of students, indicated by difficulties in analyzing problems, formulating solutions, and providing logical reasons. This condition is worsened by the predominantly conventional teaching methods, which results in low student engagement during the learning process. This study employed a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 18 students, including 10 females and 8 males, selected through saturated sampling. The instrument used was a 10-item multiple-choice test based on Ennis's critical thinking indicators: basic clarification, decision-making fundamentals, inference, advanced clarification, and strategy/tactics. Data analysis involved descriptive and inferential statistics (paired sample t-test). The results showed a significant increase in the students' average scores from the pretest to the posttest. The t-test significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 indicates that Wordwall media has a significant effect on improving students' critical thinking skills and can be an effective, interactive, and enjoyable learning innovation in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) that aims to improve the activeness of Grade X Melati students at SMA Negeri 6 Palu through the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model with a Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach. The research was conducted in two learning cycles, each consisting of the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 31 students. The research instruments included student learning activeness observation sheets and a student learning activeness questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out by reflecting on observation results and calculating the scores obtained for each activeness indicator. The findings revealed an increase in student learning activeness from the pre-cycle to Cycle I and Cycle II. In the pre-cycle, the average percentage of activeness was only 51%, which then increased to 66% in Cycle I, categorized as moderately active. In Cycle II, the percentage further increased to 88%, categorized as highly active. These results indicate that the PjBL model integrated with the CRT approach significantly enhanced students’ learning activeness. These findings imply that the integration of the PjBL model with a CRT approach has the potential to be applied beyond specific subjects and across different educational levels, fostering participatory, contextual, and culturally responsive learning.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyze the views and perceptions of teachers related to the reading learning process at the initial level in grade I elementary school. The research method used was a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews with a number of grade I teachers in both elementary schools, namely at SD Negeri 51 Sungai Raya and SD Negeri 01 Sungai Raya. The results showed that teacher perception has a significant role in directing reading learning approaches and strategies. These findings reveal diverse views on the use of methods, teaching materials, and challenges faced in teaching beginning reading. By analyzing the teacher's perspective, this study provides insight into the factors that influence the effectiveness of reading learning in the early stages of Education. This research has practical implications for curriculum development and teacher training, with the aim of improving the quality of reading learning in grade I elementary school. The results of this study can be a valuable source of information for education practitioners in supporting the development of reading skills in early childhood. By exploring their perceptions, this thesis provides valuable insights for the development of more effective learning methods. The results of this study are expected to provide guidance to education practitioners in improving the quality of reading learning at the beginning level, so that the contribution to children's literacy skills can be more optimal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis koherensi kalimat dalam makalah ilmiah yang ditulis oleh mahasiswa Program Studi Teknik Sipil, Universitas Tanjungpura, dengan tujuan untuk memahami pentingnya koherensi dalam menjaga kelogisan dan keterpaduan wacana akademik. Koherensi merupakan aspek krusial dalam penyusunan teks ilmiah, yang memastikan hubungan antarkalimat tersusun secara logis, sehingga memudahkan pemahaman pembaca. Dalam penelitian ini, 100 kalimat majemuk dari tiga makalah mahasiswa dianalisis untuk mengevaluasi penerapan koherensi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa 65 kalimat memiliki koherensi yang baik, sementara 35 kalimat lainnya menunjukkan ketidakkoherensian. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa ketidakkoherensian kalimat terutama disebabkan oleh kesalahan dalam penggunaan konjungsi dan hubungan makna antara klausa. Temuan ini mengindikasikan perlunya perhatian khusus dalam pelatihan penulisan akademik, terutama pada pemahaman dan penerapan alat kohesi yang tepat. Penelitian ini juga menyarankan agar pengajaran koherensi kalimat lebih difokuskan dalam kurikulum pengajaran bahasa di tingkat perguruan tinggi untuk meningkatkan kualitas karya ilmiah mahasiswa. Selain itu, penelitian ini merekomendasikan pendekatan yang lebih mendalam, baik secara kualitatif maupun kuantitatif, untuk menganalisis aspek koherensi dalam tulisan ilmiah di masa depan.
