Abstract

Article aimed to describe language learners’ belief system and to investigate how significance the language learners’ beliefs are between them in language learning. Using both qualitative and quantitative approaches, this research took 111 female- and 32 male-first semester college-students majoring in English Education as respondents. The instrument was 34-item BALLI questionnaire designed by Horwitz. The findings of the research showed that females and males’ language beliefs about language learning are mostly in similar fashion. The significant differences in responses were on the beliefs related to language and intelligence, enjoyment in practicing English, learning English-speaking cultures, having English-speaking friends, and motivation in learning English.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi keputusan siswa dalam memilih sekolah di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 2 Jembrana sebagai   tempat   belajar,   dan   untuk   mengetahui   faktor   yang   paling   dominan mempengaruhi  keputusan  siswa  dalam  memilih  sekolah  di  Madrasah  Aliyah  Negeri (MAN) 2 Jembrana sebagai tempat belajar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian faktorial. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan metode kuesioner yang dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis faktor dengan bantuan program SPSS for windows 16.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Terdapat empat faktor yang mempengaruhi keputusan siswa dalam memilih sekolah di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 2 Jembrana sebagai tempat belajar yaitu yang pertama adalah faktor kebudayaan dengan nilai varian sebesar 9,670%, yang kedua faktor keluarga dengan nilai varian sebesar 42,163%, yang ketiga faktor status sosial dengan nilai varian sebesar 19,877%, dan yang terakhir yaitu faktor kelompok acuan dengan nilai varian sebesar 6,546. Faktor yang paling dominan yang mempengaruhi  keputusan  siswa  dalam  memilih  sekolah  di  Madrasah  Aliyah  Negeri (MAN) 2 Jembrana sebagai tempat belajar adalah faktor keluarga dengan nilai varimax rotation sebesar 0,883.

Abstract

Kurikulum Merdeka merupakan kurikulum yang memberikan arah tujuan karakter baik yang diambil dari nilai-nilai yang berakar dari bangsa Indonesia. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk kepada masyarakat adalah untuk menanamkan penguatan karakter pelajar pancasila di SMP Dreiwanti kota Bekasi. Kegiatan diikuti oleh 25 siswa kelas VII. Kegiatan ini berlangsung pada bulan Mei hingga September 2022 di SMP Dreiwanti Kota Bekasi. Kegiatan dapat menghasilkan luaran berupa hasil memelihara lele dan memanen sayur sawi. Ada 1 kelompok yang belum mencapai target, hal ini menjadi evaluasi kegiatan. Sekolah hendaknya dapat membuat program lai yang lebih menarik, untuk membentuk pelajar Pancasila.

Abstract

In learning English, speaking ability is essential aspect, especially for teachers, especially pronunciation. Implementation in the classroom, the teacher is expected to be a good facilitator and motivator with the hope that later students will have the ability to communicate smoothly and their enthusiasm for learning will continue to increase. One teaching method that can be applied is Communicative Language Teaching (CLT). The purpose of this research to increase the teacher's motivation, creativity, exploration of the teacher's English communication skills. Besides that, through this teaching method it is hoped that it can add new experiences for teachers. This research is classroom action research conducted at the Daar El-Nayl Cilebut Islamic Boarding School, Bogor. There are a total of 4 teachers, they are the objects in this study. Data collection was carried out by observing and recording the value of each research stage. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in the ability to communicate in the pronunciation of English vocabulary which could be seen from the increase in the average score.

Abstract

If Indonesian Human Resources are designed to seize and win the Super Smart Society 5.0 Era, with very tight competition at the global level, it is inevitable that from an early age HR must be equipped with the supporting capabilities to face it. Education from childhood is a key factor in preparing tough and competitive human resources, where the curriculum has an important role, through continuous curriculum development is one answer to meeting the required competencies. The free learning curriculum and free teaching platform launched by the government are specifically designed to provide the right to learn freely. The aim of this research is to find out and analyze how the independent curriculum and independent teaching platform are implemented in the Super Smart Society 5.0 Era. To get an overview of the Merdeka Curriculum and the Merdeka Teaching Platform, the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) Method is used, while to find out the implementation strategy, use the SWOT analysis approach, namely an analysis that reads strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. With this analytical model, we can find the right steps for implementing an independent curriculum and an independent teaching platform.

Abstract

By using Roland Barthes' myth theory as a lens, this research attempts to understand Mrs. Bennet's role in Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. The story of social norms and women's standing in the early 19th century is greatly influenced by Mrs. Bennet, who is frequently seen as an example of an obnoxious and foolish housewife. The present research applies Barthes' myth theory to investigate how Mrs. Bennet's persona both reflects and perpetuates prevailing cultural beliefs regarding women's roles, marriage, and social stratification in Elizabethan English society. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method. This research result is finding out that the hidden meaning or myth in this film that Mrs. Bennet is not simply a humorous figure, but also a symbol of the social pressures that middle-class mothers experience in marrying off their children in order to increase their social standing and economic security. The present research uses semiotic analysis to show how Mrs. Bennet's behaviour and concern with marriage can be interpreted as a manifestation of a myth that relates a woman's worth to her marriage success, hence perpetuating gender stereotypes and divides between classes.

Abstract

Literature is a noble work that needs to be preserved for the continuity of the valuestaught to future generations. Preservation can be done by understanding and studying the valuescontained in literature itself. The Dayak gawai mantra is a mantra full of noble values forgenerations and important lessons for life. The aim of this research is to describe the valuescontained in the Mantra for the Dayak gawai ceremony of the Kantuk tribe which is carried outevery year, in addition to describing what equipment is used in this tradition. The method used isa descriptive qualitative method with an ethnographic approach. The method also usestriangulation techniques to verify data. Data collection was carried out by interviews,documentation and distribution of questionnaires. The research results show that the value of theGawai Dayak Mantra is related to divinity and respect for nature as well as the values of unityand equality. The equipment used includes sesjen (traditional food and drinks) and kitchenutensils and farming equipment.

Abstract

This research is entitled Legal Guarantees and Protection of Women's Labor Rights in the Industrial Sector: Study of IWIP Limited Company, Central Halmahera District. This paper analyzes IWIP Limited Company, Central Halmahera District, Indonesia and aims to analyze IWIP Company’s implementation of Law Number 13 of 2003 on Labor which is the legal basis for industrial relations as well as the rights and obligations of workers, including maternity rights for female workers. This paper employed the empirical research method and was descriptive research. Results showed that in the effort to implement legal guarantees and protection of the rights of female workers according to Law Number. 13 of 2003 concerning employment, at PT. IWIP has been running well, only in several aspects regarding the Maternity Rights of female workers. in anticipating the occurrence of violence and sexual harassment in the work environment, the Guidelines for the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence in the Workplace will only be socialized by the Industrial Relations of PT. IWIP to determine which methods will be applied, as well as which parties are substantially related to female workers to occupy structural positions for service, supervision and action. This includes the scope of prevention and prosecution of human trafficking.

Abstract

Tata kelola perikanan di Kabupaten Lebak menghadapi tantangan berupa keterbatasan data akurat dan terkini mengenai lokasi usaha para pelaku usaha perikanan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan melakukan pemetaan lokasi usaha perikanan dengan google business untuk mendukung tata kelola perikanan pada dinas perikanan kabupaten. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan partisipatif melalui wawancara langsung dengan pelaku usaha di lokasi usaha masing-masing. Data yang dikumpulkan di antaranya adalah  identitas usaha, mapping kordinat geografis, marketplace/ social media yang dimiliki dan kapasitas produksi. Pengolahan data menggunakan teknologi Google Maps API untuk menghasilkan peta digital yang akurat. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan berhasilnya pemetaan 130 pelaku usaha perikanan yang terdiri dari 34 nelayan (27%), 74 pembudidaya (57%), dan 22 pengolah (16%) yang tersebar pada 28 kecamatan di Kabupaten Lebak. Database terintegrasi dan sistem pemetaan digital berbasis Google Maps API berhasil dikembangkan, memberikan informasi akurat mengenai sebaran geografis, karakteristik usaha, dan kondisi pelaku usaha perikanan. Pendekatan partisipatif melalui wawancara langsung terbukti efektif menghasilkan data yang akurat dan mendapat respons positif dari pelaku usaha. Sistem ini memungkinkan Dinas Perikanan Kabupaten Lebak melakukan perencanaan program yang lebih tepat sasaran, alokasi bantuan yang efektif, dan monitoring sektor perikanan secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The digital revolution in education requires teachers to master innovative and engaging learning technologies. This Community Service Program aims to enhance the competency of teachers at MI Sa’adatuddarain II Tangerang in creating interactive learning videos using the Plotagon application. Plotagon was chosen due to its user-friendliness and its ability to produce engaging 3D animated videos without requiring advanced technical skills. The method employed was a one-day intensive training featuring a hands-on approach, including live demonstrations, guided practice sessions, and individual mentoring. The activity was involved 25 teachers from various subjects. Pre-test results revealed a low initial knowledge level with an average score of 45.6. Following the training, this improved dramatically to an average post-test score of 82.4. Furthermore, 92% of participants successfully created simple learning videos of adequate quality, and 96% stated their intention to implement this tool in their daily teaching. Satisfaction evaluation indicated that 96% of participants were delighted with the training program. This training has proven effective in boosting teachers’ digital literacy. It holds the potential to enhance the quality of instruction at MI Sa’adatuddarain II Tangerang by utilizing more interactive and engaging media.
