Abstract

Ancaman berkembangnya paham radikalisme, intoleransi hingga terorisme terlihat nyata dihadapan kita semua. Abstract

Pemilihan Umum tahun 2024 segera digelar.

Abstract

Globalization has changed many things in people's lives, from fundamental transformations in mindsets to social interaction models and changes in the social, political, and economic order. Now, the development of globalization certainly does not stand alone; it goes hand in hand with current phenomena such as the Industrial Revolution 4.0, technological disruption, and society 5.0, as well as the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic that has hit the world since 2020. This reality has led to the rapid development of technology, information, communication, and media. Social media is one of the essential markers of the rapid growth and change. The presence of social media is very ambivalent for human life; on the one hand, the presence of social media will provide convenience and flexibility in building communication without knowing barriers and boundaries. On the other hand, social media also holds many problems, such as the phenomenon of filter bubbles and echo chambers. This is a severe problem for the nation amidst the threat of radicalism, intolerance, and terrorism. After all, the filter bubble and echo chamber phenomenon on social media will be an instrument for developing these ideologies, especially since our millennial generation is the largest social media user today. Through a literature review, this paper leads us to reflect that one way to counter the threat of filter bubbles and echo chambers on social media is to return to the values of Pancasila. Strengthening and revitalizing the values of Pancasila is very important both in the real world and in cyberspace through the application of competence in interpreting the values of Pancasila in the digital space, producing and sharing content related to the values of Pancasila, and the most crucial is to actively collaborate in developing the values of Pancasila and Unity in Diversity in the digital space of our millennial generation.

Abstract

In 2022, based on data from the National Waste Management Information System (SIPSN) and the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK), Indonesia produced around 19.45 million tons of waste. The increase in waste continues with the increasing population and community consumption. The waste management program at the elementary school level aims to increase student awareness of waste reduction, environmental conservation, and participation in recycling practices. Socialization is carried out through material presentations, recycling practices, and interactive Q&A, with a focus on the role of individuals in protecting the environment. This program took place at SD Desa Sumberejo, Madiun District, Madiun Regency, and involved students in organic and inorganic waste sorting activities. The results of the activities showed an increase in students' understanding of the concept of recycling and their motivation to take real action, such as managing waste independently. The high enthusiasm from students and the positive response from the school showed the success of the socialization. However, the effectiveness of long-term behavioral change was measured through post-program surveys and follow-up observations that showed an increase in waste sorting in the school environment as an indicator of the program's sustainability.

Abstract

The ineffectiveness of the Deliberation of Development Planning/Musyawarah Perencanaan Pembangunan (Musrenbang) forums to serve the aspirations of citizens, particularly the marginalized groups, has prompted several local governments in Indonesia to innovate in holding Thematic Musrenbang forums, one of them in Malang City. This research aims to describe the accessibility and role of women's groups in the Women’s Thematic Musrenbang and how gender-responsive policies are created in these activities. From a feminist perspective, this research uses qualitative methods with FGDs, in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentary studies as data collection methods. The results showed that women's groups in Malang City were accessible in the development planning process, which was represented by civil society organizations and community-based organizations. Substantially, some progress has been achieved through the incorporation of aspirations from Musrenbang participants. However, the absence of gender analysis within the planning process, coupled with the predominant technocratic approach and the limitations in the application of the local development planning system, has impeded the full of the objectives of the Women’s Thematic Musrenbang. This research offers a novel examination of participatory development planning in Indonesia by focusing specifically on the effectiveness of Thematic Musrenbang forums, a relatively new and under-researched approach to incorporating citizen input. Ultimately, the findings offer practical recommendations for policymakers and practitioners to improve the design and implementation of Thematic Musrenbang, ensuring these forums genuinely serve the needs and aspirations of all citizens, particularly women.
