Abstract

The dynamics of the region's labour market are called into question by the continually higher open unemployment rate in the province of Riau Islands compared to the national average. Using the years 2017–2023, this study looks into the causes of open unemployment in the province of Riau Islands. With an emphasis on the function of public spending, ease of access to technology, and GDP expansion. Using Eviews 12 software's FEM specification test and a quantitative method, this study evaluates secondary data provided from Statistics Indonesia (BPS) of the Riau Islands Province using panel data regression analysis. Government spending significantly lowers the open jobless rate, whereas technological advancement and economic progress significantly raise it. Based on these results, the Riau Islands Province needs effective policies to lower the open unemployment rate, maximise the use of government funds, and tap into the possibilities of technological access and economic growth.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Regional Expenditure, population density, HDI, and ICT-DI on the Environmental Performance Index of 34 provinces in Indonesia 2017-2021. The method of this study used panel data regression with Fixed Effects Model approach using Generalized Least Square. Cross sections of this study are 34 provinces in Indonesia with time series from 2017 to 2021 (5 years). Variables in this study consist of independent variables, such as Regional Expenditure, population density, HDI, and Information and Communication Technology Development Index (ICT-DI), and Environmental Performance Index as dependent variable. The results of this study indicate that all variables affect the Environmental Performance Index simultaneously. In partial effect, variables of Regional Expenditure and population density have negative and significant effect on the Environmental Performance Index. While HDI and ICT-DI partially have positive and significant effect on the Environmental Performance Index using significance level of 5%.

Abstract

Abstract

The Indonesian Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) is an indicator that represents the price performance of all sharia-compliant stocks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Over the past three years, ISSI capitalization has experienced significant growth. However, this development is still influenced by the dynamics of external factors, particularly macroeconomic variables such as inflation, the IDR exchange rate, and the BI 7-Day Reverse Repo Rate (BI 7-Day RR). The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of inflation, the IDR exchange rate, and the BI 7-Day RR on the ISSI and to examine the role of GDP in moderating this relationship. The study uses a quantitative associative approach with Indonesian time series data for the 2021–2023 period. Analysis techniques include classical assumption testing, multiple linear regression with a Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) approach, and hypothesis testing. The results indicate that inflation has no significant effect on the ISSI. Conversely, the IDR exchange rate and the BI 7-Day RR were shown to have a significant effect on the ISSI. Other findings indicate that GDP strengthens the influence of the IDR exchange rate and the BI 7-Day RR on the ISSI, but does not moderate the relationship between inflation and the ISSI.

Abstract

The significant difference between the number of public facilities in regencies/cities and the number of public facilities in Central Java Province, which is feared to result in high inequality, is the focus of this study. The objective of this research is to determine the level of inequality in public facilities and the factors that influence the inequality of public facilities in Central Java Province. Secondary data is utilized and analyzed using the Modified Williamson Index approach and Multiple Regression Analysis. The variables employed include population growth rate, transfer income, and the Human Development Index (HDI). The analysis of the Modified Williamson Index reveals an inequality level of public facilities in Central Java Province of 0.21. The highest level of inequality in public facilities is found in Cilacap Regency, Boyolali Regency, and Kebumen Regency. The factors influencing the inequality of public facilities include the significant variable of transfer income in relation to the level of inequality in public facilities. However, the variables of population growth rate and the Human Development Index (HDI) are not significant factors in relation to the inequality of public facilities.
