Abstract

Pengujian toksisitas beberapa ekstrak rimpang temulawak hasil ekstraksi denganmetode yang berbeda telah dilakukan terhadap larva udang Artemia salina denganmenggunakan Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT). Ekstraksi dilakukan dengan metode maserasi, sokletasi dan refluks. Pelarut yang digunakan untuk ekstraksi adalah etanol 96%. Toksisitas diukur dengan menghitung jumlah larva udang yang mati, kemudian nilai LC untuk setiap ekstrak ditentukan dengan menggunakan Probit Analisis Method. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai LC ekstrak yang diperoleh dengan metode maserasi, soxhlet dan refluks berturut-turut adalah 14.87 ppm, 19.13 ppm dan 35.92 ppm. Ekstrak rimpang temulawak dengan metode maserasi merupakan ekstrak teraktif. Hasil penapisan fitokimia menunjukkan bahwa dalam ekstrak hasil maserasi tersebut dapat diidentifikasi adanya senyawa golongan alkaloid, flavonoid, steroid, kuinon dan triterpenoid. Kata kunci : Curcuma xanthorrhiza Roxb., toksisitas, Artemia salina Leach

Abstract

Salah satu kebijakan pembangunan Desa Cibadak, Kecamatan Ciampea, Kabupaten Bogor yang masih menemui kendala adalah bidang ekonomi tepatnya pada aspek industri. Antara lain jumlah usaha ekonomi produktif yang masih sedikit. Hal ini disebabkan masih kurangnya kemampuan warga dalam menghasilkan produk rumah tangga yang bisa menjadi produk unggulan. Temulawak adalah tanaman asli Indonesia. Rimpang temulawak mengandung kurkuminoid, minyak atsiri, pati, protein, lemak, selulosa dan mineral, serta sudah dikenal banyak khasiatnya. Umumnya Ibu Rumah Tangga Desa Cibadak sudah mengenal temulawak. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat adalah memberikan penyuluhan dan pendampingan pembuatan jamu seduhan dan serbuk, serta memberi motivasi untuk penanaman temulawak bagi Kelompok Pemberdayaan Ibu Rumah Tangga Desa Cibadak, kecamatan Ciampea Kabupaten Bogor. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi pelatihan, pembuatan, pengemasan sediaan jamu seduhan dan serbuk temulawak. Hasil iptek untuk kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan pembuatan jamu temulawak dapat meningkatkan motivasi untuk mengembangkan jamu temulawak 77,8%, meningkatakan motivasi untuk menjual produk temulawak 88,9%, baik jamu seduhan segar (44,4%) maupun serbuk (55,6%).

Abstract

Desa Cibadak adalah sebuah desa mitra binaan yang terletak di Kecamatan Ciampea Kabupaten Bogor. Salah satu kebijakan pembangunan Desa Cibadak yang masih menemui kendala adalah di bidang ekonomi tepatnya pada aspek industri. Antara lain jumlah usaha ekonomi produktif yang masih sedikit. Hal ini disebabkan masih kurangnya kemampuan warga dalam menghasilkan produk rumah tangga yang bisa menjadi produk unggulan. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian adalah meningkatnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan ibu-ibu rumah tangga yang tergabung pada Kelompok Pemberdayaan Ibu Rumah Tangga Desa Cibadak melalui pendampingan pembuatan bumbu dapur dalam bentuk serbuk sehingga bisa membuat produk industri rumah tangga yang diharapkan dapat meningkatan perekonomian keluarga. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi pelatihan, pembuatan, pengemasan sediaan serbuk aneka bumbu dapur (jahe, sereh, bawang putih, ketumbar, merica, dan kunyit). Hasil iptek untuk kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan pembuatan serbuk bumbu dapur pada ibu-ibu kelompok masyarakat industri rumah tangga Perum Dramaga Pratama RT06, Desa Cibadak kecamatan Ciampea Kabupaten Bogor dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu-ibu rumah tangga 80%. Dari hasil evaluasi diketahui bahwa pengetahuan membuat serbuk bumbu dapur ini sudah dimulai menjadi bisnis 50%

Abstract

Integrasi potensi dan kearifan lokal ke dalam pembelajaran IPA membuat pembelajaran lebih bermakna serta dapat menanamkan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal. Namun, faktanya masih banyak guru yang mengalami kesulitan dalam mengintegrasikan potensi dan kearifan lokal, sehingga perlu dilakukan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman guru dalam mengimplementasikan potensi dan kearifan lokal ke dalam pembelajaran IPA. Metode dalam kegiatan PkM ini adalah workshop yang dilaksanakan secara online melalui Zoom meeting pada tanggal 1216 Juli 2022. Kegiatan diikuti oleh 78 guru IPA di seluruh Indonesia. Data pemahaman guru diperoleh melalui angket yang dibagikan sebelum dan sesudah workshop dilaksanakan. Secara umum pemahaman peserta workshop mengalami peningkatan antara sebelum dan sesudah workshop diselenggarakan. Selain itu evaluasi penyelenggaraan PkM yang diberikan oleh peserta secara umum berada pada kategori baik dan sangat baik. Dengan demikian disimpulkan bahwa melalui kegiatan workshop ini dapat meningkatkan pemahaman guru IPA dalam membuat bahan ajar berbasis potensi dan kearifan lokal.The integration of local potential and wisdom into science learning makes learning more meaningful and can instil local wisdom values. However, the fact is that there are still many teachers who experience difficulties in integrating local potential and wisdom, so it is necessary to carry out community service activities which aim to increase teacher understanding in implementing local potential and wisdom into science learning. The method in this community service activity is a workshop held online via Zoom meeting on 12 16 July 2022. 78 science teachers throughout Indonesia attended the activity. Teacher understanding data was obtained through questionnaires which were distributed before and after the workshop was held. In general, workshop participants' understanding increased between before and after the workshop was held. In addition, the participants' evaluation of the community service implementation was generally in the good and very good categories. Thus it was concluded that this workshop activity could increase science teachers' understanding in making teaching materials based on local potential and wisdom.

Abstract

ABSTRACTSoursop is a potential source of antioxidant due to high vitamin C and poliphenol content. Antioxidant activity of three different preparations i.e. fruit juice, 96% ethanol extract, and ethyl acetate extract. The antiocdidant were measured by using 1.1-diphenyl-2 pycrihidrazyl (DPPH) radical solution. In addition, vitamin C and polyphenol content of each preparation were also measured. Polyphenol content as measured in gram Gallic Acid Equivalent (GAE)/100 g). Showed the fruit juice, 96% ethanol extract and ethyl acetate extract were 0,473, 0,324, and 0,194, respectively. Vitamin C content (mg/100 g) of these three preparations were 36.24, 30.56, and 35.66, respectively. The antioxidant activities (ppm) determined by IC50 showed fruit juice, 96% ethanol extract and ethyl acetate extract were 282.61 ppm, 660.08 and 480.26, respectively. There was strong correlation between vitamin C content and antioxidant activity, and between polyphenol content and antioxidant activities. In conclusion, the use of fruit juice as antioxidant source was better than ethyl acetate and ethanol 96% extract.Keywords: antioxidant activity, soursop (Annona muricata Linn), poliphenol, vitamin CABSTRAKSirsak memiliki potensi sebagai sumber antioksidan karena kandungan vitamin C dan polifenol yang cukup tinggi. Aktivitas antioksidan dari tiga sediaan sirsak yaitu sari buah, ekstrak etanol 96% dan ekstrak etil asetat. Pengujian antioksidan dilakukan dengan senyawa radikal 1,1-diphenyl-2-pycrilhidrazyl (DPPH). Selain diuji potensi antioksidannya, masing-masing bentuk sediaan juga diukur kadar vitamin C dan kadar polifenolnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kandungan polifenol yang dihitung dalam gram Setara Asam Galat (SAG)/100 g) sari buah, ekstrak etanol 96% dan ekstrak etil asetat berturut-turut adalah 0,473; 0,324 dan 0,194 dan kandungan vitamin C (mg/100 g) berturut-turut adalah 36,24; 30,56, dan 35,66. Aktivitas antioksidan (ppm) yang ditunjukkan oleh nilai IC50, untuk sari buah, ekstrak etanol 96% dan ekstrak etil asetat berturut-turut adalah sebesar 282,61; 660,08 dan 480,26. Hasil uji korelasi menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi yang kuat antara kandungan vitamin C dengan aktivitas antioksidan, dan kadar polifenol dengan aktivitas antioksidan. Pemanfaatan buah sirsak sebagai antioksidan lebih baik menggunakan sediaan sari buah daripada ekstrak etil asetat dan ekstrak etanol 96%. Abstract

Cipanas Village is classified as densely populated without landfills or institutions in charge of processing waste. This village accumulates mostly household organic waste in the form of vegetables, fruit, or other organic waste. To overcome the waste problem in this village, the community service team conducted socialization and demonstrations in making ecoenzymes to overcome organic waste problems. The ecoenzyme solution has many benefits, such as a cleaning solution, plant fertilizer, and many more. This community service activity consists of two stages: socialization and demonstration. This community service activity was very well received by the Cipanas Village community, as seen by the enthusiasm and many questions asked by the participants about the socialization and demonstration of making ecoenzymes. Community service activities like this are hoped to be carried out sustainably, encouraging people to be creative and innovative in creating a clean and waste-free environment while making products of ecoenzymes that are very beneficial for people's lives.

Abstract

This research aims to indentify the development of habits of mind and concept acquisiton through projectbased learning. The data acquired in this research is based on quantitative quasi experiment in which thesamples are not purposely random. The design for data calculation is anon equivalent control group thatconsists of pretest and posttest before and after the treatment in each class. The research takes place atSMAN 1 Cisarua in Eleventh Science academic year 2018/2019 with respiration system as material. Thedevelopment of students’ concept acquisiton and habits of mind in respiration system appears to increaseafter the project based learning program. The result shows there are increase of concept acquisiton to59.45% and increase of habits of mind to about 42.72%. Therefore the project based learning model isincreasing concept acquisition and habits of mind stated in the medium catagory using Gain test. Onesuitable learning model to implement the curriculum is a project based learning

Abstract

Podocarpus blumei is a slow-growing coniferous tree species belonging to the Podocarpaceae family, widely utilized for timber, handicrafts, and traditional medicine in Indonesia. However, its propagation remains limited due to seed dormancy and low germination rates. This study aimed to determine the most effective combination of seed dormancy-breaking techniques and wood vinegar concentrations to optimize seed germination and early seedling growth. The experiment was conducted using a completely randomized design with factorial treatments involving different dormancy-breaking methods—scarification, soaking in coconut water, and hot water—and variations in planting media (soil, cocopeat, and husk charcoal). Subsequent seedling treatments involved applying wood vinegar at four concentrations (0%, 0.1%, 0.2%, and 0.3%) for eleven months. Results showed that P. blumei seeds had an average moisture content of 40.14%, classifying them as recalcitrant. Among the dormancy-breaking treatments, scarification produced the highest germination rate (90%), maximum growth potential (92%), and fastest germination period (51 days) in soil–cocopeat–husk charcoal media. Application of 0.2% wood vinegar significantly increased stem diameter (0.8 mm), leaf number (19), and biomass accumulation, indicating enhanced physiological activity. In contrast, higher concentrations (≥0.3%) did not further improve seedling performance. The findings demonstrate that integrating mechanical scarification and moderate wood vinegar concentration (0.2%) effectively enhances the germination and early vigor of P. blumei seedlings. This study provides a practical propagation approach for conserving and sustainably managing Podocarpus blumei populations, contributing to improved silvicultural practices for native forest species in Indonesia.

Abstract

Scientific literacy is a fundamental skill needed to prepare students for 21st-century demands. Despite its importance, Indonesia’s 2022 PISA results indicate that students’ scientific literacy remains below the international standard, mainly due to teachers’ limited ability to design literacy-based assessments. This study aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of the Blended Learning for Assessment and Scientific Literacy (BLAST-SCI) model, integrated with a Professional Learning Community (PLC), in improving junior high school science teachers’ competence in developing scientific literacy assessments. Using a Research and Development (RD) approach adapted from the ADDIE framework, the study involved 30 science teachers from Bogor City. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and document analysis, which is analyzed using paired t-tests, N-Gain, ANOVA, and Aiken’s V. The findings show that the PLC-integrated BLAST-SCI model significantly improved teachers’ competence, as indicated by meaningful pretest–posttest differences (p 0.05), high N-Gain scores (73–84%), and increased instrument validity (Aiken’s V = 0.817). Participants gave positive responses to the model’s materials, facilitation, and relevance. In conclusion, the PLC-integrated BLAST-SCI model is valid, effective, and practical for professional development, contributing to the enhancement of teachers’ assessment literacy and promoting students’ scientific literacy through contextual and high-quality assessments.
