Abstract

This research aims to determine the evaluation of local cow carcass and non-carcass production. The material used was 100 limosin cows at the age of 3 years.The equipment used was a scale, a set of tools for slaughtering process, a GOOD stamp for carcasses. The variables measured were life weight, carcass and non carcass weight, percentage carcass and non carcass. The results showed that the number of slaughtered local cows on slaughterhouse at Malang City is 100 cows/month, the live weight of local cows aged 3 years ranged from 53.116 kg per head. The average carcass weight was 290,18 kg, with the carcass percentage of 54,63 %, while the average non carcass weight was 103,92 kg with non carcass percentage 19,56 %. It can be concluded that the percentage of carcasses were quite good.To get a better percentage of carcasses, it was recommended to increase the slaughter weight of cows. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi produksikarkasdannon karkassapilokal di PD RPH Kota Malang. Materi yang digunakan adalah ternak sapi lokal sebanyak 100 ekor yang berumur 3 tahun. Peralatan yang digunakan adalah timbangan, seperangkat alat untuk proses penyembelihan, stempel BAIK untuk karkas. Variabel yang diukur adalah bobot hidup sapi limosin, bobot karkas, bobot non karkas, Persentase karkas, dan persentase non karkas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah pemotongan sapi lokal di PD RPH Kota Malang sebanyak 100 ekor/bulan, bobot hidup sapi lokal umur 3 tahunberkisar 53.116 kg per ekor. Rata-rata bobot karkas, sapi lokal umur 3 tahun adalah 290,18 kg, dan persentase karkas 54,63 %, sedangkan rata-rata bobot non karkas sebesar 103,92 kg dengan persentase non karkas 19,56 %. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa persentase karkas tergolong baik. Untuk mendapatkan persentase karkas yang lebih baik, disarankan meningkatkan bobot potong ternak sapi.

Abstract

The research aims to study the effect of using flour sprouts on feed intake and eggs production of Kedu chicken. The material consisted of 16 Kedu chickens, yellow corn, pollard, meat flour, minerals, dl-methionine 2%, lysine 0.50%, tomato waste, vegetables waste, fish waste, sprouted flour. Sprouted flour was giving as much as 5-15% in the feed. The study used an experimental method, designed in a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments 4 replications. The treatments tested were P0 (Feed without sprouts), P1 (Feed + 5% flour sprouts), P2 (Feed + 10% flour sprouts), P3 (feed + 15% flour sprouts). The results showed that the addition of 5-15% sprouts to the feed had no significant effect (P>0.05) on feed intake and egg production of Kedu chicken. The addition of flour sprouts up to 15% in feed gives the same response to feed intake and egg production of Kedu chicken. It is recommended to further research about the addition of flour sprouts with levels that are more varied or higher than 15%, so that they can provide more accurate information about the potential of sprouts flour as chicken feed. Penelitian bertujuan mempelajari pengaruh penggunaan tepung kecambah dalam pakan terhadap konsumsi pakan dan produksi telur ayam Kedu. Materi yang digunakan terdiri dari 16 ekor ayam Kedu, jagung kuning, pollard, tepung daging, mineral, dl-metionin 2%, lisin 0,50%, limbah tomat, limbah sayur, limbah ikan, tepung kecambah. Penggunaan tepung kecambah sebanyak 5-15% dalam pakan. Penelitian menggunakan metode percobaan, dirancang dalam Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diuji yaitu P0 (Pakan ransum tanpa kecamba), P1 (Pakan ransum+5% tepung kecambah), P2 (Pakan ransum + 10% tepung kecambah), P3 (pakan ransum + 15% tepung kecambah). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan tepung kecambah sebanyak 5-15% pada pakan memberikan pengaruh yang tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi pakan dan produksi telur ayam Kedu. Penambahan tepung kecambah hingga 15% pada pakan memberikan respon yang sama terhadap tingkat konsumsi dan produksi telur ayam Kedu. Disarankan perlu penelitian lebih lanjut tentang penambahan tepung kecambah dengan level yang lebih bervariasi atau lebih tinggi dari 15%, sehingga dapat memberikan informasi yang lebih akurat tentang potensi tepung kecambah sebagai pakan ayam.

Abstract

Beef cattle are essential among Indonesian farmers as supporting assets and livelihood through cattle breeding especially for rural breeders with the most preferred breed is Indonesian Ongole cattle known as PO cattle. It is essential to analyze and determine the PO cattle rural breeders' income based on the marketing channel analysis. The study aimed to determine the marketing channel's efficiency and the PO cattle rural breeders' income. This study site was Bojonegoro regency, stipulated as The National Agricultural Site of beef cattle commodity in the East Java Province. Ninety-three respondents were chosen based on a stratified random sampling of marketing channel stakeholders. This is a quantitative descriptive study with a cross-sectional survey method. Marketing channel analysis and marketing efficiency analysis compare with the PO cattle price level using descriptive statistical analysis. The result shows six marketing channels involve in delivering PO cattle to the last consumer as beef meat. It can be concluded that the fourth marketing channel is the most efficient marketing channel that gives the highest income for PO cattle rural breeders.Keywords: Marketing efficiency, National Agricultural Site, PO cattle, price, rural breeders

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this is to support the activities IBW Local Government Pacitan District in terms of democratic economic development prioritizing agro-industrial sector of medicinal plants. Therefore, IBW team Tribhuwana Tunggadewi University and National Institute of Technology in Malang proposed program IBW Tourism Village in the district of Medicinal Plants Nawangan, Pacitan. The final target of the program is the tourist village of medicinal plants by the development of integrated and sustainable agricultural systems are based on self-reliance and environmentally sound. Implementation of the program's first year IBW tourist village in the district of medicinal plants Nawangan Pacitan district is focused on the activities of "on-farm" and pewacanaan tourist village. That is, the focus of the program is directed to engineering cultivation of medicinal plants in the location-based organic farm aims to introduce fundamentally organic cultivation of medicinal plants. The conclusion of the implementation IBW tourist village of medicinal plants in the district Nawangan Pacitan, namely: (1) People in the location IBW tourist village of medicinal plants in the district Nawangan Pacitan, namely the village of Ferns New and Ngromo that are the focus of empowerment this program begin applying cultivation drug organically and conducting business in a simple processing of medicinal plants; (2) The medicinal plant processing business simply needs to be developed with the appropriate technology tools are planned for the next stage. Abstrak: Tujuan kegiatan IbW ini adalah menunjang Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Pacitan dalam hal pengembangan ekonomi kerakyatan yang memprioritaskan pada sector agroindustri tanaman obat. Oleh karena itu, Tim IbW Universitas Tribhuwana Tunggadewi dan Institut Teknologi Nasional Malang mengusulkan program IbW Desa Wisata Tanaman Obat di Kecamatan Nawangan, Kabupaten Pacitan. Sasaran akhir dari program ini adalah desa wisata tanaman obat dengan pengembangan sistem pertanian terpadu dan berkelanjutan yang berbasis kemandirian dan berwawasan lingkungan. Pelaksanaan tahun pertama program IbW desa wisata tanaman obat di kecamatan Nawangan kabupaten Pacitan ini difokuskan pada kegiatan “on farm” dan pewacanaan desa wisata. Artinya, fokus program diarahkan untuk rekayasa budidaya tanaman obat di lokasi berbasis pertanian organik yang bertujuan mengenalkan secara mendasar budidaya tanaman obat organik. Kesimpulan dari pelaksanaan IbW desa wisata tanaman obat di kecamatan Nawangan kabupaten Pacitan ini, yaitu : (1) Masyarakat di lokasi IbW desa wisata tanaman obat di kecamatan Nawangan kabupaten Pacitan, yaitu desa Pakis Baru dan Ngromo yang menjadi fokus pemberdayaan program ini mulai mengaplikasikan budidaya tanaman obat secara organik dan melaksanakan usaha pengolahan tanaman obat secara sederhana; (2) Usaha pengolahan tanaman obat secara sederhana tersebut perlu dikembangkan dengan adanya alat teknologi tepat guna yang direncanakan dilaksanakan pada tahapan berikutnya. Kata kunci : desa wisata, tanaman obat, kec nawangan, produksi produk olahan.

Abstract

Mr. Wandi and Mr. Amari is a fermented cassava businesses in the rural Ketangi, Karangploso subdistrict, Malang regency are currently experiencing difficulties in maintaining and developing a business. This happens because of limited capital and limited marketing reach. Technology production is still modest, less sterile and production equipment are just packed in a plastic bag or use a bowl.Appropriate technology improvement efforts of both businesses fermented cassava in the rural Ketangi be hygienic equipment that can guarantee the sterility of the product, use a wheelbarrow / tricycles can expand the reach of the marketing and use of packaging plastic boxes can improve the quality and value of selling the fermented cassava. Applied technology is a technology that is simple and easy to operate.The application of appropriate technology improvements can increase revenues both businesses fermented cassava approximately 35% to 50%, as well as the pilot for the surrounding community.

Abstract

The aim of this study are : (1) to identify production profile of broiler’s partnership at Gerbangkertosusila region; (2) to identify farmer’s profile of broiler’s partnership at Gerbangkertosusila region; (3) to identify human resources development factors of broiler’s partnership. This research done at Gerbangkertosusila region (Gresik, Bangkalan, Mojokerto, Surabaya, Sidoarjo dan Lamongan) East Java Province for 2 (two) months. This research is quantitative research with Cross Sectional Survey which mean questionnaire method by question list used in order to data collected as primary and secondary data. Primary data collected by survey, observation and depth interviewed with questionnaire used in order to got valid data, such as farmer profile and production profile information. Secondary data collected by data study and documentation from government documents and broiler’s partnership corporation related documents. Data analysist was descriptive analysist. The conclusion of this study are : (1) Broiler’s farmer profile are mostly (90%) at productive ages with Senior High School graduated as the most common (75%) and an enterpreneur as main profession (45%) which more than 3 years of production periods (80%) and had experiences at 2 kind of broiler’s partnership models (60%); (2) Management contract as the most choosen broiler’s partnership models by respondents

Abstract

The aim of this research to examine feed nutrients of market waste processed as hen feed supplementation and to identify the best processed of market waste as hen feed supplementation. This research held at Field Laboratory of Agriculture Faculty Tribhuwana Tunggadewi University, Tlogomas, Malang for processed the market waste and at Feed Nutrition of Animal Husbandry Faculty Brawijaya University, Veteran Street, Malang. Materials used were vegetables and fish waste from the local market which classified in the waste group of green vegetables, tomatoes, sprouts and fish bone. Each of groups treated with under siege processed treatment, sun-dried processed treatment, boiled processed treatment and steamed process treatment. Each of group treatments used durability checked of feed supplementation by organoleptic inspection. This inspection is done for every 2 hours for 6 hours a day. This inspection done during 20 days. The result concluded that under siege processed treatment of market waste was the best process for durability feed supplementation. The boiled processed treatment was the worst processed for durability feed supplementation.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze and evaluate and identify the carcass profile of male limousin crossbreed cows slaughtered at The Slaughterhouse (RPH) Malang city. Three hundred male limousin crossbred cows, which are slaughtered within four months, were selected as study material. The identification of male limousin crossbred cattle based on physical characteristics documented in the RPH antemortem document and direct visual observation on the unique characteristic of brown and blackish-brown colors, horns, and black hooves, and tail hair, and compact body shape. The variables observed in this study included slaughtered age, body weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage, carcass components percentage, and carcass quality grade. The results showed that the average age was 34.86±3.04 months, with a mean bodyweight of 532,44±62,47 kg, carcass weight 287,76±45.22 kg, and carcass percentages 54.11±6,16 % with carcass components percentage: meat 82,15±1,56 % and bone 17,85±1,56 %, as well as carcass quality grade at the choice grade, according to the USDA. The carcass production profile of male limousin crossbreed cattle in Malang city slaughterhouse is not optimal according to male limousin cows' genetic potential related to the environment's adaptation process and the feed is given. Therefore, the carcass production profile shows the male limousin crossbreed cattle carcass potential to meet the meat needs, especially for Malang consumers.

Abstract

The aims of this study was to evaluaste genetic profiel, farmer’s cow PO and factor-factor to support development of cow PO. The study was conducted at Napis village, sub district Tambakrejo and district Bojonegoro in September 2012. Research material was PO cow age before 1 week and choose by simple random sampling. Study metodology was survey and the location was decided by purpose sampling. Data collection consist of body weight, value statictical vital, characteristic, silsilah, heratability value and breeding value. Primier data collected from interview to repondent and dokumentation, while secondary data base on supporting data and link office. The study result showed that profiel of PO cow have high value of body weight was from bull no 6 (belong to Kasiman in sub district Kalidandang) with heritability value 78%. Profil of farmer’s cow owner about 2,1 each or as same as 1,84 UT each household. Management by farmer is very simple and traditonal. Basic education is fundamental school (48,36%) with age of 45-55 (36.0%) and final desecion done by compromise (72,95%). The main factor for suporting development of PO for the centre of cow was society and enviromental condition (cow and natural resources)

Abstract

Pada negara berkembang kegiatan urban farming memiliki tujuan utama memenuhi kebutuhan pangan sehingga pengeluaran biaya untuk pangan berkurang, dan hasil penjualan produk yang berlebih dapat meningkatkan pendapatan. Namun minimnya lahan perkotaan menimbulkan konsekuensi terhadap optimalisasi pemanfaatan lahan tidur perkotaan sebagai lahan produksi pertanian yang berkelanjutan. Konsepsi dasar tersebut juga ditemukan implementasinya di kota Malang, tepatnya di Kelurahan Cemorokandang, Kecamatan Kedungkandang, terdapat “Kelompok Tani Cemara Organik” yang memanfaatkan lahan tidur sebagai kegiatan pertanian perkotaan dengan fokus pada budidaya tanaman pangan berupa hortikultura sayur. Program PKM Pertanian Perkotaan Organik di Kelurahan Cemorokandang ini dilakukan dengan metode PLA (Participatory Learning Action) dan Market Joined. Pada metode PLA tersebut, dilakukan pendampingan produksi mitra pertama oleh tim PKM Urban Farming Organik di Kelurahan Cemorokandang dalam penerapan teknologi vertikultur dalam pertanian organik perkotaan guana optimalisasi lahan produksi dengan melibatkan mitra kedua sebagai produsen pupuk organik. Pada metode Market Joined, dilakukan dengan metode FGD (Focussed Group Discussion) untuk menetapkan sistem kemitraan pasar dan serta melakukan review dan penetrasi pasar dari sistem yang dipilih tersebut. Dari evaluasi dan analisis program kemitraan masyarakat yang telah dilakukan maka dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut : 1) masyarakat sangat mendukung dan antusias untuk maju dan mengembangkan teknologi vertikultur, 2) berdasarkan hasil respondensi, masyarakat merasa mudah dengan teknik vertikultur, 3) Program PKM dapat meningkatkan wawasan, pengetahuan dan ketrampilan dalam pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan sempit sehingga menjadi lebih produktif. 4) teknologi vertikultur memberikan hasil produksi yang lebih baik secara kuantitas dan kualitas dalam pemanfaatan lahan sempit kawasan pemukiman.
