Abstract

The increasing development of pop music has prompted the emergence of a music festival in Bali, namely the Soundrenaline music festival. There is a dialogical relationship that influences youth in particular to visit Soundrenaline. This study aims to describe and explain how Soundrenaline's articulation is for Balinese adolescents and Balinese adolescents' interpretation of Soundrenaline. This research uses a qualitative approach with an explanative descriptive type. The theory used in this research is the theory of cultural industry Theodor W. Adorno. The results of the field research show that the Soundrenaline music festival which has become a trend among teenagers has articulated teenagers from what has been displayed at the festival. As well as the adolescent interpretation formed by Soundrenaline's articulation, it makes adolescents consider Soundrenaline as a means of their pleasure. In the end, this unconsciously made Balinese teenagers dull in their critical power. Keywords: Articulation, Balinese adolescents, Soundrenaline music festival

Abstract

This study aims to examine the acceptance of homosexuals and the strategy they use to survive in the formal sector job in Denpasar and Badung. This study uses a qualitative approach. The theory used in this research is the post-colonialism theory from Homi K Bhabha with Mimicry concept. The results showed how the acceptance of homosexuals is influenced by the narrative that has been built by the public about heteronormative. That put the homosexual into the subaltern group. This situation requires homosexual group to use a strategy so that they can be accepted by hiding and imitating. This act of imitation that makes them to be the almost the same subject but still not exactly the same as the self they are imitating, which is Bhabha called as Mimicry. Abstract

Marriage is one of the important phases that will be passed in the lifecycle of Hindus. However, this is different from the marriages that occurred in the Bangli Traditional Village of Pengotan. This study uses the theory of social action, the type of research uses a qualitative approach. The technique of determining informants is purposive sampling. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews and document study. The data obtained were analyzed by steps, namely data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate to the Pararem mass marriages in the Pengotan Village Bangli, Bangli sub-district. The Pararem of mass marriage in the Pengotan Traditional Village has a very significant positive impact on the community, such as maintaining ancestral Inheritance in the form of Mass Marriage, Tourism Sector Growth in Pengotan Village through Mass Marriage and to arrange a Moral Education of the Young Generation. Abstract

The 2018 Lombok earthquake brought earthquake-resistant buildings such as the houses of RISHA, RIKA and RISBA to reduce the risk of unpredictable earthquakes. This study aims to describe and analyze how to mitigate and support and inhibit factors in mitigation through the post-earthquake RISHA development program using descriptive-explanative qualitative methods. The Public Works Agency recommends that earthquake disaster mitigation in Lombok be implemented through procedures for restoring and building RISHA houses during and after an earthquake. The supporting factors for the construction of the RISHA house involve all elements of society, such as POKMAS, facilitators, community assistance teams, mobilization of the TNI and Polri and collaboration with PT. Waskita Karya. Inhibiting factors are the slow formation of POKMAS, data on damaged houses that are not yet valid and continue to increase, lack of public trust in facilitators, lack of RISHA panels, and slow procurement and distribution of building materials. Abstract

ABSTRACT This study focuses on describing and analyzing deeper about healthy-sick behaviors in search of health alternatives. This research uses qualitative approach with explanative descriptive type. Health Trust theory by Rosenstrock is used. This research shows that the healthy-sick behavior of yoga practitioners at Dharma Sthapanam Foundation is motivated by health beliefs. Practitioners of hatha yoga look for health alternatives with: 1). perception of informants affected by a disease based on health condition, 2). factors of diseases that informants feel can inhibit their activities, 3). perceived benefit of practicing yoga becomes one factors of informants in practicing yoga 4). the amount of benefits felt shows that the benefits when practicing yoga is more dominant than the disadvantages so they chose to continue the practice of yoga, 5). outside factors for practicing yoga such as information about yoga on social media, magazines, even support from family, friends and so on. Abstract

Nowadays, online streaming services are becoming a favorite choice for the public, especially teenagers, to look for entertainment in the form of films or series. In this study, the author has the view that teenagers have their own motives and needs in subscribing to and consuming film series on Netflix. This is helped by Netflix's personalization, which provides recommendations for various viewing options that allow users to find the content to watch that they enjoy. This research uses descriptive-explanative research with a qualitative approach to explore the motives and influence of Netflix on the lives of teenagers in Makassar City using uses and gratification theory analysis. The results of this research indicate that Netflix media personalization is could to make it easier for users to get various shows and is able to trap teenagers to fulfill various motives of need in terms of productive and pseudo-needs fulfillment. Abstract

This study aims to describe and the phenomenon of habitus in class II B prison in Karangasem. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive and explanative types that aim to describe and summarize the habitus in Karangasem prisons. The theory used is the habitus theory of Pierre Felix Bourdieu. The results showed how different habits before and after entering prison can slowly influence mental structure through activities and discipline that are applied in prison. Habitus is influenced by domain and capital. The domain in this research is class II B Karangasem prison, while prison capital is the regulations and capital owned by officers, namely social capital, symbolic capital, and cultural capital. Habitus produces practices that are also influenced by doxa, heterodoxa, and orthodoxa, namely sanctions and attempts to destroy discourse through violations committed by WBP. Abstract

One of the cultural traditions in Bali that has been passed down through generations is ngayah. When the community customary wander village ulakan go, they would have obstacles taking the time to ngayah worn so they choose mogpog or dedosan. This research was conducted to analyze how the social influence of ngayah compensation with some money termed as mogpog or dedosan in Ulakan Traditional Village.The theory chosen as a scalpel in this study was Georg Simmel's Money Sociology. It is not always that social obligation ngayah which can be replaced with money where it will be able to provide a sense of relief and freedom for those who wander or migrant permanent and impermanently. Social actions such as tolerance, mutual understanding, and kinship that still exist in Ulakan Traditional Village is a good communal manners, therefore, it is good to be maintained. Abstract

This research is intended to explain Henri Bergson’s thought about laughter within the framework of sociological studies and analyze the contextualization social dimension of laughter related to its meaning and function in social interaction. In Henri Bergson’s treatise, the term comic has a funny meaning or ridiculous. Someone whose movements are comic is someone whose behavior contains the elements of mechanism and automatism, the movements without life. Laughter is used as a correction tool to punish those who act comic. Henri Bergson’s thoughts within the framework of sociological studies are included in the classification of the social definition paradigms and are elaborated in the theory of symbolic interactionism. A comedy can give a lot of information about comic, a comedy deliberately creates mistakes by overturning logic in both scenes or dialogues. Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the tradition of metutur that can be used as a better medium for socializing social values. This research uses qualitative research with descriptive-explorative type. The theory used in this research is the theory of Socialization from George Herbert Mead. The results of this study indicate that the metutur is a good socialization medium in giving meaning to children's social values. In accordance with Mead's Socialization theory, the metutur tradition can provide a role for children from an early age to be ready to become part of society. The role of the metutur in the closeness of parents to their children is felt by local residents, they think that metutur can also preserve the culture in Tenganan. Metutur is also a good medium as a medium for socializing social values ??in the midst of the modern era that has instant social media.
