Abstract

ABSTRACTEfforts to improve understanding of concepts in students can be seen from their academic abilities. Understanding concepts is a term used to mean the extent to which students are able to understand the basic concepts of a material provided by the teacher. One effort to improve the understanding of concepts in students is to do experimental learning models or practicum. Along with the advancement of time where technology can be used as a tool in learning, therefore the implementation of practicum can be done using a virtual laboratory. The use of virtual laboratories can run well and in accordance with procedures when using a virtual laboratory practicum guidelines. The making of practicum guidelines must not be separated from the scientific process skills because it has been regulated in Regulation of the Ministry of Education and Culture No. 22 of2016.The purpose of this study is to find out the development of practical process guidelines based on science process skills using virtual laboratories, to determine the impact of virtual laboratories on students' understanding of concepts, and to determine the strengths and weaknesses of virtual laboratories. After conducting field tests in SMA 1 Metro with a class XII IPA 4 as sample, it is known that the results of the feasibility of using a virtual laboratory practice guidelines based on science process skills, namely expert validation got a percentage of 84.6%, Teacher Response 91.25% and Student Response 88, 4% Based on the average percentage of the three assessments of 88.08%, it is in the very feasible category. As for understanding the concept an increase of 21.4 between the pretest and posttest scores. Based on the results of the study, the virtual laboratory practicum guidelines based on science process skills affect the learning process specifically to improve students' understanding of concepts. Abstract

ABSTRACTThe problem in this research is that the management of the physics laboratory is still not optimal. Therefore, it is necessary to have a managementsystem or management of laboratory implementation in a good physics laboratoryby creating standard operating procedures (SOP) for practicum implementation. The aim to be achieved in this study is to produce an SOP for practicum implementation in the utilization of physics laboratories in senior high school and to determine the efficiency of the implementation of senior high school physics practicum after using the developed SOP. The development model used in this research is the ADDIE development model, which is an extension of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The product feasibility level is seen from the results of validation from laboratory management experts, the results of the feasibility percentage of practicum SOP are 83.33%, and the percentage of students' responses obtained from the product trial results is91.38%. Thus, it can be concluded that the practicum SOP developed is suitable for use in the process of practical activities. Keywords: standard operational procedure, efficiency, and practicum.

Abstract

Abstract: The results of the presurvey conducted at the Laboratory of Physics Education, University of Muhammadiyah Metro that there is an arduino-based atwood machine practicum tool that has been made by Rohmah (2017) and has been validated with good accuracy but this tool has not been used in learning and has several advantages one of which is automatic detect the time needed for objects to move, so that the tool can work well and can be used to find out learning outcomes and argumentation skills. The research subjects were 12 students of Muhammadiyah Metro University physics education. Data collection instruments use student worksheets and test questions. The results showed that the use of arduino-based atwood machine practicum tools could affect the learning outcomes and argumentation skills of physics education students. Learning outcomes were calculated using a t-test with a significance level of 5%, so the results showed that thit abel t table was 5.66 ≥ 2.07, thus rejecting hypothesis H0 and accept H1: (there is a difference between the pretest and posttest scores) the disputes are 21.61. Then for student argumentation skills obtained an average percentage value of 83.33% from three aspects, namely claim, evidence and reasoning. Suggestions for readers, can be used as reference media for atwood machine practicum tools in learning with different materials and other learning methods.

Abstract

Abstract: The rapid development of technology has an influence on the world of education. Physics is one of the subjects that are considered difficult so that the need for supporting activities is practicum activities. Practicum activities can be done using a virtual laboratory. This study aims to develop a virtual laboratory practical guide for direct current electric material in class XII semester 1 at SMA Negeri 4 Metro Tejo Sari, Metro Timur District which is expected to support the physics learning process, especially the subject of series circuits, parallel circuits and Kirchhoff's law. The type of research used is research and development (R&D). The model used is a 4D model developed by Thiagarajan. This model consists of 4 stages, namely define (analyze needs), design (design a product), development (develop the designed product), and finally desseminate (disseminate the product). The instrument used is an assessment questionnaire. There are two types of questionnaires used, the first is a material and media expert validation questionnaire, and the second is a student and teacher response questionnaire. The practical guide used for virtual laboratory practicum activities is made in web format (.html) using Articulate Storyline 3 media. The results of the material and media expert validation test obtained an average percentage value of 84.59% with a very decent category. The practicality of the virtual laboratory practicum guide obtained an average percentage value of 82.05% in the very practical category. This proves that the virtual laboratory practical guide on direct current electric material can be used in learning activities at school. The virtual laboratory practicum guide should be operated using a computer with a fairly stable internet connection.

Abstract

Abstract: The results of interviews with physics teachers at SMAN 1 Pekalongan that the media provided is very limited. The media in school are only pictures, props, and powerpoint. Lack of care in the props makes the props become dirty and damaged. The purpose of making media is: (1). Knowing media development (2). Know how to develop media. (3). Knowing student responses to media (4). Knowning the advantages and disadvantages of the media. This research was conducted using the 4D development model ( define, design, development, disseminate) according to Trianto (2011: 189). The results of the media expert test research received a percentage of 69% with eligible criteria, the result of the test of material experts with a percentage of 73,08% with eligible criteria. The results of the product trial are the student response questionnaire with a percentage of 80,55% with very good criteria. Presentation obtained from the three expert tests stated that the evaluation media of game application learning was 74,21% with eligible criteria. Based of the results of the research regarding the development of game application learning media, the media developed are suitable for use as learning media. Media shortages are limited question, the advantages are easy to use, in the form of game, and is offline. Suggestions for this product can be developed by more than one material, along with sample questions. Media must also be used with all OS and smartphone. Publish it more widely by placing it in the online application store and can be download for free. Keywords: Research And Development, Learning Evaluation Media In The Form Of Assisted Game Application Construct 2, Newton’s Law

Abstract : This study aims to determine the effect of using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model on increasing student interest and learning outcomes, knowing student responses to the process of learning activities using the PjBL model, and knowing the high percentage of student learning outcomes obtained from using the PjBL model. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), carried out in two cycles with four stages. The stages in question are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were students of class X MIA 1 SMAN 1 Purbolinggo in the 2021-2022 academic year. The data analysis technique used is effect size analysis, student response analysis, and analysis of student learning outcomes. The results of the study include: the use of the PjBL model affects increasing student interest in learning with a known effect size of 0.2298 in cycle 1 and 0.439 in cycle 2, and the use of the PjBL model affects improving student learning outcomes with a known effect size of 0.499 in cycle 1 and 0.71 in cycle 2, students like the process of learning activities using the PjBL model, the high percentage of completeness of student learning outcomes from using the PjBL model is 67.6% with 23 students completing cycle 1 and 87% with 28 students completing cycle 2 . Suggestions for similar research to be carried out include: it is necessary to research on improving aspects of interest and other learning outcomes using different subject matter. It can be done using two different classes to determine the effect of implementing the PjBL model so that differences or comparisons can be known. Keywords: Interest in Learning, Learning outcomes, Project Based Learning (PjBL) model.
