Abstract

The exchange rate between two countries is the price of the currency used by residents of these countries to trade with each other, the relationship between the Rupiah exchange rate and the Yuan is one of the important aspects in the dynamics of international trade. Therefore, forecasting the exchange rate is important as an effort to predict the exchange rate of Rupiah against Yuan in the future. The method used for forecasting is Singular Spectrum Analysis, namely decomposition and reconstruction. The accuracy of the resulting forecast is measured using the Mean Absolute Percentage Error criterion. The exploration results obtained are forecasting accuracy based on the Mean Absolute Percentage Error value of 2.15% with a window length of 23 which identifies that the forecasting results are accurate and effective. Forecasting is said to be accurate if the Mean Absolute Percentage Error value is lower than 10% and close to 10%

Abstract

Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) is highly sought after by Indonesian consumers and is one of the leading commodities cultivated in freshwater. However, tilapia farming still frequently encounters challenges that lead to a decline in production, one of which is infection by pathogens such as Tilapia Lake Virus (TiLV). TiLV can infect fish in waters with temperatures above 25°C, with mass mortality peaking at 30°C, reaching a 50% death rate. Proper handling and control measures are essential to manage TiLV outbreaks effectively. TiLV detection in fish can be conducted using the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method. PCR-based virus detection is a diagnostic technique that identifies the presence of viral genetic material with high specificity and accuracy. This study aimed to detect TiLV infection in farmed Nile tilapia. The procedures included sample collection, necropsy, organ fixation, RNA extraction, PCR amplification, electrophoresis, and gel documentation analysis. Based on the PCR results, Nile tilapia samples tested positive for TiLV infection, as indicated by the presence of a 250 bp DNA band in the gel documentation system, aligning with the TiLV positive marker. Among the three fish showing suspected TiLV symptoms, two (66.6%) were confirmed infected.

Abstract

Not all feeders of the 20 kV distribution network distribution of the protection zone work well, one of which is the Meranti feeder. Meranti feeders have a high failure of protection zone coordination. The feeder with the division of 6 protection zones has failed coordination of the protection zone 33 times in 2017. Where protection in zone 4, zone 5 and zone 6 always trips together with protection zone 3. This causes the continuity of service to be disrupted because the area is not disturbed too. go out too. From the analysis, it is found that the failure of coordination of protection relays in zone 4, zone 5 and zone 6 is caused because in zone 3 protection the amount of time setting is the same as zone 4, zone 5 and zone 6, namely 0.05 tms. And the coordination of the protection settings is said to be good if the downstream relay setting is faster than the upstream side, so that in setting the relay on the Meranti feeder it starts from the end protection relay with the fastest time (0.05 tms) and upstream can increase each stage by 0 , 3 secondsABSTRAK Tidak semua penyulang jaringan distribusi 20 kV pembagian zona proteksinya bekerja dengan baik, salah satunya adalah penyulang Meranti.

Abstract

The random spatial and temporal occurrence of earthquakes means that this are still being researched from a seismological and stochastic perspective. Point processes are examples of stochastic processes which explain seismic activity, one of them is Epidemic Type Aftershock Sequence (ETAS) model. It lackness ignores the location or spatial component of. Consequently, the components of time, location, and magnitude will be taken into consideration when discussing the ETAS model in this study. The spatio-temporal model is the name given to this concept. Therefore, in this research, mapping of earthquake intensity will be carried out in the West Sumatra region using the spatio-temporal ETAS model stated in conditional intensity function with eight parameters. The data used are earthquake events in the West Sumatra region with a magnitude threshold of 4 SR and a depth of ≤ 70 km for the period January 2000 to January 2024. Parameter model estimated using the maximum likelihood method and solved using the Davidon Fletcher Powell algorithm. The result shows area of West Sumatra with high earthquake intensity is coastal area, namely West Pasaman, Padang, Mentawai Islands and the South Pesisir. This makes the area vulnerable to seismic disasters

Abstract

Room temperature and humidity in tropical climates, such as in Indonesia, are generally controlled using air conditioning (AC), which has now become a basic necessity. This study aims to improve the durability and energy efficiency of air conditioning systems through the application of microcontroller-based devices. Monitoring is carried out by measuring the AC electrical current, where the normal value is in the range of 3.2–3.6 amperes, while when the current exceeds 4 amperes, the system automatically cuts off the electricity supply. In addition, a water level control sensor with a maximum limit of ±4 cm is installed on the inner water tank. If the water level reaches ±3 cm and touches the sensor, the system will automatically stop the AC operation. To support remote monitoring, the system is equipped with an Arduino NodeMCU ESP-32 module integrated with the Blynk application, so that users receive notifications when a disturbance occurs. Real-time monitoring information is also displayed on the LCD screen on the control panel. The results of the study show that this design is able to provide protection against damage caused by excessive current and water levels, while also increasing the operational efficiency of the AC.

Abstract

English vocabulary mastery presents a significant challenge for nonformal education students characterized by heterogeneous backgrounds and limited face-to-face instructional time. This study explores the effectiveness of gamified vocabulary challenges through WhatsApp in improving vocabulary mastery among Grade XI students at PKBM Arrohmah Demak Package C program. Employing a pre-experimental design with one-group pretest-posttest, the research involved 40 students participating in a two-week gamification program with structured daily and weekly tasks. Data were collected through standardized vocabulary tests and participation tracking via WhatsApp platform. Analysis using paired sample t-test and Pearson correlation revealed significant improvement in mean scores from 56.2 to 74.8 with participation rates reaching 87.5%. The multidimensional assessment system measured timeliness, completeness, accuracy, and creativity with an overall achievement of 77.4%. A strong positive correlation was identified between participation levels and learning achievement. Findings confirm that integrating gamification and mobile learning through WhatsApp effectively enhances vocabulary mastery in nonformal education contexts. This platform offers high accessibility and flexibility suitable for adult learner characteristics. Despite its effectiveness, challenges such as limited internet access and low student creativity require attention in future digital learning implementations.
