Abstract

The aim of study to improve competency junior high school mathematics teachers in Solok Selatan district in compiling Olympiad questions mathematics and solving problems based on high order thinking skills (HOTS). The target audience for community service is mathematics teachers incorporated in the Subject Mathematics Teacher's Consultation (MGMP) Mathematics in Solok Selatan. The method used in the service includes the presentation of material by the team community service then carried out the pre test and post test, the design of the question HOTS, discussion and question and answer sessions at the math Olympiad. Conclusions of this research is: There is a positive increase in teacher competency after being given training in compiling math Olympiad questions that the posttest results are better than the results pretest in the training to improve the competency of mathematics teachers in compiling the questions Mathematical Olympiad based on high order thinking skills of SMPN in Solok Selatan District

Abstract

One of a part mathematics subjects for high school students is statistics. Some statistics topics were usually studied by university students, but now they are studied by high school students. Teachers have difficulty teaching the topic to students for several reasons. The training is needed in order to improve the ability and knowledge of teachers about the statistics topics . The training was given to high school mathematics teachers in Padang under group named MGMP. There are 25 participans of the training. The results of activity evaluation showed an increase in the knowledge of statistics topics. In conclusion, this activity has been effectively carried out and can help the mathematics teachers to deeply understanding statistical topics

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika berbasis pendekatan contextual teaching and learning (CTL) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis peserta didik. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP 26 Padang denagn 32 siswa. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan. Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adala model Plomp yang terdiri dari tiga fase yaitu preliminary research, development and prototyping phase, dan assessment phase. Data efektifitas dari perangkat pembelajaran diambil dari tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis peserta didik. Dari hasil tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis diperoleh bahwa rata-rata skor sudah efektif. Persentase ketuntasan klasikal adalah 78,12% atau lebih dari 75% dengan nilai rata-rata ketuntasan 76.6. Dengan persentase ketuntasan lebih dari 75%   menunjukkan bahwa tujuan pembelajaran tercapai dan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis CTL secara umum dapat dikatakan efektif dan layak untuk digunakan.AbstractThe purpose of this study is to develop of mathematical learning devices based on the contextual teaching and learning approach in terms of students' mathematical communication skills. The subjects of this study were seventh grade students of SMPN 26 Padang with a total of 32 students. This research includes the type of development research. The development model used in this study is the Plomp model. The Plomp model consists of three phases. They are preliminary research, development or prototyping stage and assessment phase. Data on the effectiveness of learning devices are taken from the results of tests of students' mathematical communication skills. From the test results, it is found that the students’ average test scores of mathematical communication skills are effective. The percentage of completeness in classical is 78.12% or ≥ 75% with the average value of students who complete is 76.6 which exceeds the minimum completeness. With the percentage of completeness more than 75% indicates that the learning objectives have been achieved and learning devices in the form of CTL-based that are generally developed are considered to be effective so that they are feasible to use.

Abstract

Problem solving ability is one of the mathematical abilities that are the focus in learning mathematics. There are several factors that cause students' low mathematical problem solving abilities. One of them is the unavailability of learning tools to facilitate students in improving their mathematical problem solving skills. One of the efforts made to improve problem solving skills is to develop guided inquiry-based mathematics learning tools. This study aims to produce valid, practical, and effective learning tools. This type of research is development research with the Plomp model which consists of preliminary stages in the form of needs analysis, curriculum analysis, concept analysis, and student analysis. In the development or prototyping stage, product development is carried out, then formative evaluation is carried out to determine the validity and practicality of the product. The assessment stage is carried out by testing the practicality and effectiveness.

Abstract

Learning tools become one of the important things in the learning process that has an impact on the ability of students, especially the ability to think creatively. Learning tools in the form of RPP and LKPD  can create an effective and fun learning process, and can facilitate students' creative thinking skills. Although this creative thinking ability is one of the important abilities and must be mastered by students, there are still many students who find it difficult to solve problems that can encourage the development of students' creative thinking skills, so it is necessary to develop learning tools that can help improve students' abilities. creative thinking of students. Learning according to these characteristics is the STEM integrated Project Based Learning model of mathematics learning. This study aims to design valid, practical and effective learning tools in the form of STEM-PjBL-based RPP and LKPD for Class VIII Junior High School students. The development research was carried out using the Plomp development model. The Plomp development model consists of three stages, namely the preliminary research stage, the development or prototyping stage and the assessment stage. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews and observation sheets. Analysis of the validity data showed that the resulting device was in the very valid category with a RPP validity score of 3.63 and LKPD 3.54. In the analysis of practicality data, it was found that the mathematics learning tools were practical with a practicality score of 82.1% for RPP and LKPD 82%. Learning tools are effective based on learning outcomes where the completeness is 63.02 %. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the STEM-PjBL-based learning tools developed were valid, practical and effective.

Abstract

AbstrakKemampuan pemecahan masalah merupakan kemampuan esensial yang harus dimiliki peserta didik. Masalah dalam matematika merupakan persoalan tidak rutin dan belum ada metode untuk menyelesaikannya. Pentingnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah diberikan kepada peserta didik agar peserta didik mampu menyelesaikan masalah matematika, mampu memberikan kemampuan penalaran logis, sistematis, kritis dan terbuka dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran  dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran problem based learning (PBL) berupa RPP dan LKPD untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik yang valid dan praktik. Penelitian ini mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran berupa rancangan pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP) dan lembar kerja siswa (LKPD) dengan menggunakan model pengembangan Plomp. Model pengembangan Plomp terdiri dari fase investivigasi awal, fase pengembangan atau pembuatan prototype, dan fase penilaian. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan evaluasi formatif yaitu evaluasi sendiri, tinjauan ahli, evaluasi satu-satu, evaluasi kelompok kecil dan uji coba kelompok kecil. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI SMAN 1 Lengayang.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran berbasis problem based learning(PBL) yang dikembangkan berupa RPP dan LKPD untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis yang valid dan praktis. Valid karena valid dari aspek isi dan konstruk dengan hasil validasi RPP diperoleh 3,3 dengan kategori valid dan LKPD diperoleh 3,47 dengan kategori sangat valid. Praktis karena mudah digunakan dan dipahami, efisien, menarik. Hasil praktikalitas RPP diperoleh 89,29% dengan kategori sangat praktis dan LKPD diperoleh 90,32% dengan kategori sangat praktis.Kata kunci: Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah, Perangkat Pembelajaran, Problem Based Learning (PBL) AbstractProblem solving ability is an essential ability that must be possessed by students. Problems in mathematics are non-routine problems and there is no method to solve them. The importance of problem solving skills is given to students so that students are able to solve mathematical problems, are able to provide logical, systematic, critical and open reasoning abilities in everyday life. This study aims to produce learning tools using problem based learning (PBL) learning models in the form of RPP and LKPD to improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities that are valid and practical. This study develops learning tools in the form of lesson plans (RPP) and student worksheets (LKPD) using the Plomp development model. The Plomp development model consists of an initial investigation phase, a development or prototyping phase, and an assessment phase. This study also uses formative evaluation, namely self-evaluation, expert review, one-on-one evaluation, small group evaluation and small group trial. The subjects of this study were students of class XI SMAN 1 Lengayang. The results showed that problem-based learning (PBL) tools were developed in the form of RPP and LKPD to improve valid and practical mathematical problem solving skills. Valid because it is valid from the aspect of content and construct with the results of RPP validation obtained 3.3 with valid category and LKPD obtained 3.47 with very valid category. Practical because it is easy to use and understand, efficient, attractive. The results of the practicality of the lesson plans were 89.29% in the very practical category and 90.32% in the LKPD in the very practical category. Keywords: Problem Solving Skills, Learning Tools, Problem Based Learning (PBL)

Abstract

Customer Lifetime Value, familiar as CLV is valuability a customer in marketing system. High CLV has a meaning that the customer will bring in a big return for a firm. CLV is determined by some factors, as retention rate, acquisition rate, some costs, product price, and interest rates. Markov Chain is one of model that used to determine CLV. In Markov Chain, a customer is assumed some state. Transition inter states are assumed Markovian. Here, we make CLV model using Markov Chain with four states. There are four type of model that have four states. Each type have different transition chart and of course have different probability transition matrix. Here, we describe every type of CLV model using Markov Chain.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis merupakan kemampuan yang diperlukan dalam perkembangan dunia saat ini. Namun, kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik masih rendah. Halminimdisebabkan peserta didik masih ketergantungan kepada guru dalam menerima informasi serta pembelajaran yang terjadi di kelas belum memfasilitasi kemampuan berpikir kritisnya dalam bidang geometri. Untuk itu dikembangkan lembar kerja peserta didik berbasis teori Van Hiele yang diharapkan dapat membantu mengatasi masalah tersebut. Tujuan dari pengembangan produk ini yaitu untuk mmenghasilkan mlembar kerja peserta didik berbasis teori Van Hiele yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis peserta didik kelas VIII SMPN 13 Padang. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII SMPN 13 Padang. Model pengembangan yang digunakan diadaptasi dari model Plomp. Ada tiga tahapan pada model ini yaitu preliminary research, prototype phase, and assesment. Pada penelitian ini difokuskan melihat keefektifan produk pada tahap assesment. Tahap assesment dilakukan pada uji lapangan (field test) yang terdiri dari 30 peserta didik selama 6 kali pertemuan. Keefektivan produk dilihat setiap pertemuan pada tahap field test serta tes yang diberikan pada akhir pertemuan. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis peserta didik cenderung meningkat selama enam kali pertemuan serta tes akhir juga menunjukkan bahwa terjadinya peningkatan sebesar 73,33%.

Abstract

Kesalahan dalam belajar matematika masih sering terjadi saat proses pembelajaran. Salah satu kesalahan dalam matematika adalah kesalahan dalam proses menyelesaikan soal. Kesalahan dengan bentuk soal pemecahan masalah adalah salah satu kesalahan yang banyak dilakukan peserta didik. Tujuan dari penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kesalahan peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal pemecahan masalah dengan materi matriks berdasarkan kategori Watson. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah tes tertulis dan catatan lapangan. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas XI SMA. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa kesalahan yang dilakukan peserta didik saat menjawab soal matriks berdasarkan kategori Watson yaitu kesalahan (1) data yang dimasukkan tidak tepat, peserta didik salah dalam memasukkan nilai yang belum diketahui ke dalam tabel. Persentase kesalahan ini sebesar 9,67 %, (2) data yang hilang, peserta didik kurang teliti dalam membuat jawaban sehingga ada data yang terlupakan. Persentase kesalahan ini sebesar 6,45 %, (3) prosedur yang tidak tepat, peserta didik salah dalam mengartikan maksud soal ataupun salah dalam menggunakan rumus. Persentase kesalahan ini sebesar 22,58 %, (4) manipulasi tidak langsung, peserta didik salah dalam proses merubah dari satu tahap ke tahap lainnya dan adanya kesalahan yang tidak logis seperti seharusnya membagi tapi yang dilakukan mengali. Persentase kesalahan ini sebesar 16,13 %, (5) masalah hirarki keterampilan, peserta didik salah dalam proses perhitungan dan salah dalam mengubah bentuk rumus dasar menjadi rumus yang diminta soal. Persentase kesalahan ini sebesar 12, 90 %, (6) kesimpulan hilang, peserta didik tidak menyelesaikan sampai tahap akhir dari apa yang diminta soal. Persentase kesalahan ini sebesar 9,67 %, (7) kategori lain, peserta didik hanya menyalin soal, tidak merespon terhadap soal yang diberikan. Persentase kesalahan ini sebesar 6,45 %.

Abstract

Abstract – This research discuss about forecasting of the total restaurant and hotels tax at Padang City use a method of exponential smoothing triple tipe Brown. The fact is the number of visitors hotel and restaurants comes not constant or not sure yet on each year. Therefore the method forecasting can be a right solution is estimate that the number of the tax restaurant and hotel in future time. The purpose on this research is to estimate receipt of the number of the tax hotel and restaurants at Padang City on the next five years. The method used to forecast the number of the tax restaurant and hotel at Pada City of the is the method of exponential smoothing triple tipe Brown. Based on the research results obtained by the model exponential smoothing triple tipe Brown the right to use in forecasting revenue amount restsurant and hotels tax at Padang City is F_(10+m)=51.688.474.068+7.812.509.304m+349.042.638,65m^2, with the number of periods (m) is one until five.
