Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebijakan internal sekolah yang menunjukkan inklusivitas karakter toleran pada peserta didik yang majemuk. Fokus penelitian pada kebijakan inklusif dalam arti keadilan, kesetaraan, dan sikap positif terhadap kemajemukan agama. Sekolah berperan untuk memenuhi hak peserta didik dalam keberagamaan. Menjadi masalah, jika lembaga sekolah diskriminatif atau tidak memfasilitasi pendidikan kerohanian pesesrta didiknya. Studi kasus penelitian adalah SMAN 1 Mataram dan SMAN 5 Mataram. Penelitian ini adalah field research dengan teknik penggalian data observasi kegiatan peserta didik yang mencakup: organisasi, kerohanian, aturan hari libur agama, ketersediaan tempat ibadah; dan wawancara mendalam kepada peserta didik, guru, dan pelaku kebijakan sekolah. Hasilnya, kedua sekolah tersebut menerapkan institusionalisasi ide menjadi kebijakan. Di antara kebijakan tersebut: melaksanakan kegiatan imtaq (iman dan taqwa) sesuai agama peserta didik; memberikan izin pembentukan organisasi rohani; fasilitas tempat maupun alat ibadah multi-agama; memfasilitasi guru rohani di setiap agama yang dipeluk oleh peserta didik; dan kebijakan libur fakultatif. Pemahaman masyarakat di wilayah sekolah tentang keberagaman suku, bahasa, dan agama yang praksis (tidak teoritis) menjadikan modal penting dalam kelangsungan toleransi di sana. Meskipun kedua sekolah tersebut tidak mewakili kebhinnekaan dalam hal suku dan etnis, setidaknya agama peserta didik yang berbeda-beda mewakili cerminan dari Indonesia yang beragam. Kata Kunci: sekolah kebhinnekaan, kebijakan internal sekolah, karakter toleran, Mataram This article aims to analyze the school's internal policies that show the inclusiveness of the tolerant character of diverse learners. The research focuses on inclusive policies in terms of justice, equality, and positive attitudes towards religious pluralism. Schools play a role in fulfilling the rights of students in religion. It becomes a problem if school institutions are discriminatory or do not facilitate the spiritual education of their students. The research case studies are SMAN 1 Mataram and SMAN 5 Mataram. This research is field research with data mining techniques for observing student activities which include: organization, spirituality, rules for religious holidays, availability of places of worship; and in-depth interviews with students, teachers, and school policy actors. As a result, both schools implemented the institutionalization of ideas into policies. Among these policies: carry out imtaq (faith and taqwa) activities according to the religion of the students; granting permission to form a spiritual organization; facilities for places and tools of multi-religious worship; facilitate spiritual teachers in each religion embraced by students; and facultative holiday policies. The understanding of the community in the school area about the practical (non-theoretical) ethnic, linguistic and religious diversity is an important asset in sustaining tolerance there. Although the two schools do not represent diversity in terms of ethnicity and ethnicity, at least the different religions of the students represent a reflection of the diversity of Indonesia. Abstract

Artikel ini akan mengulas paradigma dari praktik gerakan pemberdayaan masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh Muhammadiyah. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan teori praktik sosial Pierre Bourdieu, studi kualitatif ini akan mengemukakan beberapa hal: pertama, apa yang mendorong lahirnya gerakan pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam Muhammadiyah. Kedua, bagaimana model praksis pemberdayaan masyarakat ini dilakukan Muhammadiyah. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa praksis pemberdayaan masyarakat Muhammadiyah didorong oleh teologi Alma’un (ajaran) pendiri gerakan ini yaitu KH. Ahmad Dahlan, yang direinterpretasi oleh Moeslim Abdurrahman menjadi “Islam Transformatif” sebagai paradigm Islam yang memihak kepada kaum lemah. Teologi sosial ini kemudian melahirkan praksisme sosial yang dilakukan oleh Majelis Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (MPM) untuk menggempur kemiskinan gaya baru di abad ke-21.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to explain the factors of the emergence of “pesantren sains/science pesantren” (Trensains) and their implications for the shift in the orientation of Islamic education in Indonesia. Existing pesantren studies have looked more at practical aspects, such as curriculum development and learning, but not yet at philosophical aspects, which have implications for a shift in the orientation of Islamic education. Design/methods/approach – Data was collected using interviews and documentation. The research, which utilized a phenomenological approach, was conducted at Sragen Muhammadiyah Trensains Senior High School in Central Java and Tebuireng Trensains Senior High School in East Java. The primary respondent was Agus Purwanto, the initiator, founder, and developer of a science boarding school, who had first-hand experience with the events that took place while he was a student at the Pesantren. Findings – The findings of this study suggest that Trensains is a new pesantren genre that was developed as a reaction to the lack of science and technology in the Islamic world due to the heavy jurisprudential emphasis on Islamic education. In the history of the curricula at pesantren, including philosophy as a topic is a novelty. Research implications/limitations – The emergence of Trensains has implications for a shift in the orientation of pesantren in Indonesia from a Sufistic-fiqh orientation to a scientific-philosophical orientation which is marked by the following changes: (1) in the function of transmission and transfer of Islamic knowledge (tafaqquh fī al-dīn) to the study of Islamic sciences general science; (2) from maintaining the Islamic tradition to cultivating the scientific tradition; and (3) from a reproduction of religionists to producers of scientists. However, some drawbacks need to be acknowledged. This study has not discussed Trensains as a whole, and its effectiveness in shaping the character of pesantren is unknown. Therefore, further research is needed to understand the impact and role of Trensains in the development of Islamic education in Indonesia.

Abstract

Indonesia memiliki banyak potensi energi terbarukan, seperti tenaga air (termasuk minihidro), panas bumi, biomasa, angin dan surya (matahari) yang bersih dan ramah lingkungan, tetapi pemanfaatannya belum optimal. Karena letaknya yang berada di garis khatulistiwa, sehingga Indonesia mempunyai sumber energi surya yang berlimpah dengan intensitas radiasi matahari rata-rata sekitar 4,8 KWh/????2 per hari di seluruh wilayah Indonesia. Dengan tujuan membuat pembangkit listrik Di Pondok Pesantren Al Muhammad, metode yang digunakan tenaga matahari. Menarik kesimpulan bahwa dengan adanya pembuatan pembangkit listrik dengan tenaga surya sangat baik diimplementasikan dilingkungan pondok pesantren Al Muhammad dikarenakan cuaca lingkungan pondok pesantren sangat panas dan hasil-hasil pembuatan ini sangat bermanfaat.

Abstract

Islamic education faces several opportunities and challenges in the current era of globalization and digitalization. As a preparatory effort to take advantage of opportunities and overcome existing obstacles, Islamic education needs to adopt the concept of moderation promoted by Haedar Nashir, namely upholding moderate Islamic norms. Thus, this research aims to analyze and describe Haedar Nashir's views on the concept of moderation and the implications of moderation for the concept of progressive Islamic education. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach using a literature study. According to Haedar Nashir's perspective, this study's results show that religious moderation is creating and bridging diversity to strengthen tolerant attitudes between religious communities. Religious moderation does not mean eliminating the value of faith, but developing a more open perspective. Second, the implication of religious moderation for progressive Islamic education, according to Haedar Nashir, is an effort to produce modern, intelligent, and devout human resources. Haedar Nashir also emphasized the urgency of human values, justice, and balance in progressive Islamic education.

Abstract

The uncontrolled use of sound systems in mosques, especially after the call to prayer and iqomah, often leads to waste of energy and disturbances to the surrounding environment. This research aims to develop an Arduino-based automation system that can set the time of turning on and off the sound system in the mosque according to the adhan schedule, in order to improve operational efficiency and reduce electricity consumption. The system is designed using an Arduino UNO microcontroller, which regulates the sound device via a relay based on manually entered timing. Testing was carried out using Wokwi software simulations, and the results were then applied to a physical prototype. Testing is carried out with various time settings (5, 10, 15, and 20 minutes) to assess the accuracy and reliability of the system. The test results showed that the system was able to control the sound device with a 100% success rate in all the times tested. This system has proven to be effective in reducing the duration of unnecessary use of sound devices, potentially saving energy. The developed system provides a practical solution to reduce energy waste in mosques and improve the operational management of sound devices. Further implementation of this system in mosques can provide significant social and environmental benefits, especially in terms of congregational comfort and energy savings. Field testing as well as the development of IoT-based technologies in the future can expand the functionality of these systems.

Abstract

This article mainly explores the changing and development of thought that occurred in one of the largest modernist Islamic organizations in Indonesia, Muhammadiyah, regarding Islamic purification. Using intellectual history as an approach, this research concluded that even though Muhammadiyah had purification as its main characteristic, in fact it had its own reinterpretation being extended and expanded. By implementing Abdolkarim Soroush’s theory of contraction and expansion of religious knowledge, this research found that in the very early days of its inception, Muhammadiyah constructed its concept of purification from the spiritualization, rationalization, and functionalization of Islamic teachings. But after the inception of Tarjih division in 1927, the purification in Muhammadiyah had a narrower orientation from worships and creeds (puritanism) to the muamalah of world affairs (ultra-puritanism). Beginning in 1995, there was a wider scope in which the Tarjih division in Muhammadiyah expanded its issues of worship to include public and humanitarian issues; that era was called post-puritanism. Based on the core hypothesis that any changes in religious thought have implications for educational orientation, from George R. Knight’s perspective, several educational implications are obtained: (1) In the early days of its inception, Muhammadiyah’s education implemented a progressivism philosophy that’s inspired by religion, rationality, and life; (2) when it comes to the narrower aspect of purification only for faith, worship, and muamalah, Muhammadiyah shifted its educational philosophy to perennialism-essentialism; (3) when the purification's meaning and interpretation expanded, Muhammadiyah tended its education toward the philosophy of reconstructionism.

Abstract

Media sosial merupakan sumber data yang kaya untuk memahami persepsi publik terhadap berbagai isu, termasuk organisasi keagamaan seperti Muhammadiyah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sentimen publik terhadap Gerakan Muhammadiyah di Media Sosial X menggunakan algoritma Naïve Bayes. Sebanyak 617 unggahan dikumpulkan dan diklasifikasikan ke dalam tiga kategori sentimen utama: positif, negatif, dan netral. Tahapan analisis dimulai dengan preprocessing data, seperti penghapusan stop words, stemming, serta penanganan slang dan teks tidak terstruktur. Data teks kemudian direpresentasikan menggunakan metode TF-IDF sebelum diterapkan pada algoritma Naïve Bayes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa algoritma Naïve Bayes mencapai akurasi sebesar 87,5%, dengan kinerja yang sangat baik dalam mengidentifikasi sentimen positif (45%) dan negatif (30%), sementara sentimen netral (25%) sering memiliki pola yang ambigu. Sentimen positif didominasi oleh apresiasi terhadap kontribusi Muhammadiyah dalam bidang pendidikan, kesehatan, dan penanganan bencana. Sebaliknya, sentimen negatif sebagian besar terkait dengan kritik terhadap biaya pendidikan, pelayanan kesehatan, dan distribusi bantuan sosial yang dinilai kurang optimal. Sentimen netral mencakup unggahan informatif tanpa opini emosional. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa analisis sentimen menggunakan algoritma Naïve Bayes efektif dalam memahami persepsi publik terhadap Muhammadiyah. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan strategis bagi Muhammadiyah untuk meningkatkan citra positif dan mengelola kritik publik melalui pendekatan yang lebih adaptif di era digital.

Abstract

Pengembangan ACMU yang tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai pendingin udara yang efisien dan ramah lingkungan, tetapi juga menyertakan fitur inovatif sebagai pengingat sholat. Air Conditioning Muhammadiyah (ACMU) membantu masyarakat modern yang semakin sibuk dan terpengaruh oleh teknologi membuat umat Islam kesulitan menjalankan kewajiban agama, khususnya sholat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana integrasi teknologi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dapat membantu umat Islam dalam menjalankan kewajiban agama, khususnya sholat. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mengembangkan ACMU yang dapat menjadi simbol teknologi yang mendukung kesalehan individu, efisiensi energi, dan keberlanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana integrasi teknologi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dapat membantu umat Islam dalam menjalankan kewajiban agama, khususnya sholat. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mengembangkan ACMU yang dapat menjadi simbol teknologi yang mendukung kesalehan individu, efisiensi energi, dan keberlanjutan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan studi kasus sebagai desain penelitian. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ACMU yang dikembangkan dapat menjadi alat yang efektif dalam membantu umat Islam dalam menjalankan kewajiban agama, khususnya sholat. Selain itu, ACMU juga dapat menjadi simbol teknologi yang mendukung kesalehan individu, efisiensi energi, dan keberlanjutan.
