This research attempts to find out studentsâ difficulties, their translation quality and the causes of such difficulties in translating business text. The type of this research is a descriptive research. The research data were obtained from translation test and the analysis of studentsâ translations. The result showed that the students have difficulties in the level of lexical, grammatical, contextual, textual and cultural problems. It was employed two raters from English lecturers in order to assess the test and describe the studentsâ translation quality objectively and two lecturers of Bahasa to validate the target language. The result also showed that the qualities of studentsâ translation were classified into bad quality. The analysis of studentsâ translation moreover showed that the causes of studentsâ difficulties were lack of translation competencies; lack of language competence, textual competence, subject competence, cultural competence and transfer competence. Dealing with text in certain discipline especially business text, it should be separately instructed in teaching learning process or the text should be analyzed and comprehended by students before going to transfer the whole message into target text. This research aimed to find out the extent to which Reciprocal Teaching Strategy can improve students’ reading comprehension and some factors which influence students’ improvement. This research used a Classroom Action Research by implementing two cycles which consisted of four stages (planning, action, observation, and reflection) in each cycle. The participants of this research were from the second year students of English Department of STKIP Muhammadiyah Sungai Penuh in academic year 2016/2017. The result showed that Reciprocal Teaching Strategy had improved students’ achievement in each cycle. It was found that in pre-test the students got 55 of mean score in getting main idea, 58 in detailed information, 60 in vocabulary and 54 in summary. The data showed that there were significant improvements in cycle II (mean score of main idea was 87, detailed information was 86, vocabulary was 96, and summary was 87). The factors that influenced students’ improvement are it encouraged students’ motivation, helps students in applying reading strategies, and assists students to do cooperative learning. This study aims to be Muhammadiyah assistance in evaluating to what extent the implementation of Al Islam Kemuhammadiyahan within the curriculum as a charity effort of Muhammadiyah Educational Institution, especially STKIP Muhammadiyah Sungai Penuh. This study is a field study because it was conducted in real and based on the factual data in the field. The type of this study is a descriptive-qualitative. Informants in this study are stakeholders, lecturers, and students of STKIP Muhammadiyah Sungai Penuh, who was registered in 2017/2018 academic year. Data collection was collected by using observation, interview, and documentation. Then, the data was analyzed through descriptive analysis by using the inductive method. By finding out to what extent the implementation of those values, the final goal of this study is as a starting point for the college, especially in reform their educational curriculum into the one which internalizes those values in all instructions of each study program.

This study seeks to determine the types and frequency of tactics employed by teachers in teaching English speaking. This study focused on the English instructors in Jambi. The data was qualitatively examined. The findings revealed that the teachers employed four distinct tactics. These were enhancing student discourse, developing role play, developing narratives, and training interviews. In teaching English as a second language, role-playing was the most prevalent approach employed by teachers. Teachers determined that by implementing the developing role play technique, pupils became more active and confident when playing a role based on the materials provided by the teachers. In addition to making students more passionate about learning English, role-playing encouraged them to engage in more conversation with their classmates and peers.Keywords :Analysis, Strategy, Public Speaking

In composing a scientific paper, unique is one of the foremost critical parts. Abstacrt is portion of logical paper that contained data around the paper itself. Theoretical is composed briefly, concisely, and conclusively. Be that as it may, STKIP Muhammadiyah Sungai Penuh understudies still faound challenges in composing a unique one. This movement pointed to socialize almost methods in composing an English theoretical for the logical composing to the understudies. the strategy utilized in this movement was socialization and address by the speaker who were the PkM group. This group was comprised of 4 English Think about Program speakers of STKIP Muhammadiyah Sungai Penuh. The result of this movement appeared that the understudies were able to (1) know what theoretical is (2) know the function of theoretical within the logical composing (3) utilize the fitting tenses in writing English theoretical. The victory of this action can be seen from the assessment did by the PkM group amid this movement handle and it might moreover be seen from the assessment did by the PkM group amid this movement handle, the process of oral test, questions and answer session, and it seem too be seen from the criticism given by the understudies at the conclusion of this action.

Based on preliminary observations conducted at SMKN 2 Sungai Penuh, researchers found some students could not understand English well because of lack of vocabularies. As a result, they did not involve actively in learning process, they just kept silent when their teacher asked them questions. This research was aimed to find whether there was any significant effect of using Blended Learning strategy in teaching vocabulary at the eighth grade Students of SMKN 2 Sungai Penuh Academic year 2021/2022. The researchers used quantitative method with quasy experimental model. The population in this research was all students at tenth grade of SMK Negeri 2 Sungai Penuh (198 students). Samples in this research was class X TKR control class that taught by using lecturing strategy and class X TSM as experiment class was taught by using Blended Learning Strategy. The sample is determined by using random sampling technique. The instrument in this research was test, the test used in this research was vocabulary test. The simple regression model in this research was analyzed by using SPSS program (Statistical Product and Service Solution) 2600 for window and Ms. Excel 2010. The data was analyzed by using regression linier, the formula was T-test. Based on the result, it can be concluded that hypothesis H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. It meant that there was significant effect of Using Blended Learning Strategy in Teaching Vocabulary at the Tenth grade Students’ of SMKN 2 Sungai Penuh Academic Year 2021/2022. It can be concluded that Blended Learning strategy was better than lecturing model in teaching English vocabulary at Tenth grade students’ of SMKN 2 Sungai Penuh Academic Year 2021/2022. In other words Blended Learning strategy gave a good effect on students’ understanding in English vocabulary.

This study aimed to examine the relationship between students' learning style and motivation when learning English, and their proficiency in vocabulary during their third semester in the English Education program at the State Islamic Institute of Kerinci in the academic year 2022-2023. The study was of a quantitative nature. The population of the study consisted of students in their third semester of the English Department at IAIN Kerinci. The sample size used for the research was 32 students, who were selected via total sampling. Data collection on learning styles was conducted using Gutman's questionnaire, while motivation was gathered through the Likert scale. Vocabulary acquisition was examined through a test. SPSS 26 was utilized to analyze the data using a correlation and regression test. The report found that 86.25% of the third-semester students of the English Education Program of the State Islamic Institute of Kerinci used the Visual Auditory Kinesthetic (VAK) learning style. The students' motivation was in the high criteria, with a score of 72.73. Also, the average score of 80 indicated excellent vocabulary mastery, rated with the criteria of A. The study yielded significant results, indicating a high correlation between the students' learning style and their vocabulary acquisition. Moreover, a more significant correlation was observed between the students' learning styles and vocabulary mastery, as well as with their motivation levels. In conclusion, the results of the study suggest that an appropriate choice of learning style can considerably enhance students' vocabulary acquisition during their third semester in the English Education Program at the State Islamic Institute of Kerinci in the 2022-2023 academic year.

In recent years, learning media has developed very well in various types one of which is media in improving students' listening skills. Examples of possible media used is an English movie. By using this English movie there are many benefits obtained by students, namely, students can learn good English pronunciation directly from movies that is broadcast, students can add new vocabulary, students can learn good grammar and correct and also students can practice their listening skills. Apart from that, this movie can be used as a medium that can make students more active in taking classes, not boring and interesting so learning can go well. The aim of this research is to find out how much effective use of movie in improving students' listening skills in the field of language studies students' English, and also to find out students' perspectives on the use of movie as a medium learning. In the research conducted, the researcher used the literature study method with collect some data from various related journals for review in collecting data. The conclusion of this research is that the use of English movie improves abilities Listening to students is very effective. According to the student's perspective, the use of this film is very helpful them in learning.
