Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, almost all student activities are carried out from home, whether for lectures, shopping, etc. The number of activities carried out at home for a long period has resulted in students feeling bored/bored and feeling pressured by their routine activities. They seek entertainment by looking at the products offered in online store outlets. This can encourage students to spend excessively or compulsively, especially for students who are less able to regulate emotions. This study aims to empirically prove the effect of emotion regulation on compulsive shopping and wants to know the dimensions of emotional regulation inability that support students' compulsive spending. This study uses a quantitative approach. The subjects of this study amounted to 166 active students of the Faculty of Psychology, University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The data collection methods used were the Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale (DERS) and the compulsive shopping scale for clothing. Data analysis was performed using the regression analysis method with the help of the SPSS version 21 program. The results of the analysis showed that there was an influence of emotion regulation on compulsive clothing shopping. The dimensions of difficulty controlling impulses and refusing to realize emotions are dimensions of the inability to regulate emotions that play a major role in compulsive shopping for clothes. Di masa pandemi Covid 19 ini hampir semua aktivitas mahasiswa dilakukan dari rumah, baik untuk aktivitas perkuliahan, berbelanja, dll. Banyaknya aktivitas yang dilakukan dilakukan di rumah dalah kurun waktu yang cukup lama ini mengakibatkan mahasiswa merasa jenuh/bosan dan merasa tertekan dengan aktivitas-aktivitas rutinnya. Mereka mencari hiburan dengan melihat-lihat produk yang ditawarkan di gerai toko online. Hal ini dapat mendorong mahasiswa untuk melakukan pembelanjaan secara berlebihan atau kompulsif terutama pada mahasiswa yang kurang mampu melakukan regulasi emosi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan secara empiris pengaruh regulasi emosi terhadap belanja kompulsif dan ingin mengetahui dimensi ketidakmampuan regulasi emosi yang mendukung pembelanjaan kompulsif mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 166 mahasiswa aktif Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang. Metode pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah skala Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale (DERS) dan skala belanja kompulsif pakaian.  Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode analisis regresi dengan bantuan program SPSS versi 21. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh regulasi emosi terhadap pembelanjaan kompulsif pakaian. Dimensi kesulitan mengontrol impuls dan menolak menyadari emosi merupakan dimensi ketidakmampuan melakukan regulasi emosi yang berperan besar terhadap belanja kompulsif pakaian.

Abstract

Smartphone addiction refers to excessive smartphone use that can have physical and psychological impacts. The purpose of this study was to provide psychoeducation to increase knowledge about self-management in an effort to reduce smartphone addiction. This study used a pre-experimental research design with a one-group pretest-posttest design on 32 students. Data collection used the Smartphone Addiction Scale-Short Version questionnaire and additional questionnaires developed by the researcher. The results of the paired sample t-test showed an increase in scores after the psychoeducational intervention (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that psychoeducation can be used as an effective approach to preventing and reducing smartphone addiction in adolescents. These findings can provide new insights into the importance of preventing smartphone addiction through psychological and educational approaches that can be applied in the context of adolescent education and health. This study makes an important contribution to the prevention and management of smartphone addiction, with implications for the development of psychoeducational programs that can be implemented in educational and health settings to support adolescent well-being.

Abstract

Adolescents are a vulnerable group to digital sexual violence, including sextortion, which involves sexual extortion through threats to distribute sexually explicit content. Low levels of self-control may increase adolescents’ vulnerability to such risks. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of psychoeducation in enhancing self-control understanding as a preventive effort against sextortion among adolescents. A quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-group pre-test–post-test design was employed. The participants consisted of 36 students aged 15–17 years from a public senior high school in Samarinda. The psychoeducational intervention was delivered through interactive lectures, Focus Group Discussions (FGD), and educational video screenings. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. The results of the analysis showed a statistically significant difference (Z = −2.201; p = 0.028 (p < 0.05)). This indicates that there was a difference in adolescents’ self-control before and after the psychoeducation intervention. The post-test mean score (M = 8.39) was higher than the pre-test mean score (M = 8.00). These findings suggest that psychoeducation was effective in improving adolescents’ understanding of self-control as a preventive effort against sextortion. Self-control psychoeducation can therefore be considered a relevant preventive approach to be implemented in school settings.

Abstract

Fenomena quiet quitting semakin mengemuka pada karyawan milenial sektor perbankan seiring meningkatnya tuntutan kerja, tekanan kinerja, serta pergeseran nilai kerja generasi muda. Fenomena ini tercermin dari menurunnya keterlibatan emosional, inisiatif, dan komitmen kerja, meskipun karyawan tetap menjalankan tugas formalnya. Kondisi tersebut berpotensi menurunkan kualitas layanan, produktivitas, dan keberlanjutan organisasi perbankan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji efektivitas psikoedukasi berbasis self-awareness sebagai strategi intervensi human resource untuk meningkatkan pemahaman karyawan milenial terhadap quiet quitting. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain kuasi-eksperimen one group pretest–posttest. Partisipan berjumlah 18 karyawan milenial sektor perbankan yang mengikuti program psikoedukasi daring selama 120 menit. Instrumen penelitian berupa skala quiet quitting dan self-awareness. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji paired sample t-test menunjukkan t = -165,039 dengan p = 0,001 (p<0,01). Hal ini berarti bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan pemahaman karyawan tentang pengertian quite quiting, proses terjadinya quite quiting serta cara mengatasinya sebelum dan setelah dilakukan psikoedukasi. Mean post-test (Mean = 147,39) lebih besar dibanding dengan Mean pre-test (Mean = 113,44). Hal ini berarti psikoedukasi yang diberikan mampu meningkatkan pemahaman karyawan tentang quite quiting dan cara mengatasinya. Nilai ukuran efek berdasarkan Cohen’s d dan Hedges’ correction berada pada kategori sangat besar, yang menunjukkan bahwa psikoedukasi memberikan dampak yang kuat dan konsisten terhadap peningkatan pemahaman peserta. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa penguatan self-awareness melalui psikoedukasi membantu karyawan mengenali kondisi psikologis, mengelola emosi kerja secara adaptif, serta memahami dinamika disengagement yang berkaitan dengan quiet quitting. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi empiris bagi pengembangan strategi human resource yang lebih empatik dan berorientasi pada kesejahteraan psikologis karyawan milenial di sektor perbankan.

Abstract

Stres merupakan kondisi yang biasa terjadi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Mengetahui dengan tepat definisi stres, faktor yang memengaruhi serta upaya untuk mengelola stres dengan baik melalui psikoedukasi diharapkan dapat membantu siswa untuk mencapai well-being. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas psikoedukasi berbasis estetika dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa SMA mengenai stres dan strategi coping. Penelitian menggunakan desain one-group pretest–posttest dengan partisipan sebanyak 10 siswa yang aktif berorganisasi. Intervensi diberikan dalam lima sesi melalui metode presentasi dan simulasi yang dipadukan dengan aktivitas estetis, seperti musik, seni, visual alam, dan menulis. Pengukuran pemahaman dilakukan menggunakan angket dengan pertanyaan terbuka. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai uji t test (t = -7,184) dengan (p<0,001). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan pengetahuan siswa tentang tentang stress, faktor yang memengaruhi serta cara mengelola stres. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa psikoedukasi berbasis estetika efektif membantu siswa memahami konsep stres, mengenali pemicu dan responsnya, serta mengidentifikasi strategi coping yang dapat digunakan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Program ini berpotensi menjadi alternatif edukasi preventif yang mudah diterapkan di sekolah.

Abstract

The cafe industry is part of a rapidly growing and competitive service sector, fueled by the rise of coffee consumption and social activities in various cities. Service-oriented work environments are characterized by high emotional demands, a fast-paced work pace, and pressure to ensure quality service, making work stress a critical issue in human resource management. Cafe employees, particularly baristas and waiters, are on the front lines of customer interaction and are therefore susceptible to mild work stress, which is often considered normal. However, persistent, poorly managed mild work stress can potentially develop into emotional exhaustion, decreased psychological well-being, and decreased performance. This study aims to examine the role of stress management in reducing mild work stress levels among cafe employees and its implications for psychological well-being and employee performance. This study is based on a review of empirical literature on work stress in the service sector and the effectiveness of stress management interventions in the workplace. Stress management is understood as a planned effort to identify sources of stress, modify work stress, and strengthen employees' coping abilities. The study results indicate that stress management interventions, such as coping skills training, relaxation techniques, and mindfulness approaches, are effective in reducing work stress and improving employee well-being. Organizational support through fair work arrangements and supportive leadership also strengthens the effectiveness of these interventions.

Abstract

Hospital Occupational Safety and Health Culture (K3RS) is an important aspect in ensuring the safety of healthcare workers, patients, and the hospital environment. However, in practice, low levels of employee awareness regarding the reporting of occupational accident incidents are still found, particularly for accidents that are considered minor. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of a psychoeducational program in improving employee awareness of K3RS among nurses and midwives at ABC Hospital. This study employed a one-group pretest and posttest experimental design with a total of 10 healthcare workers consisting of nurses and midwives. The intervention included K3RS psychoeducation, reinforcement of work safety attitudes and values, and simulation of occupational accident incident reporting. Data were collected using a questionnaire administered via Google Forms. The results indicated an increase in employee awareness after the psychoeducational intervention, as reflected by improved participants' understanding of the types and categories of occupational accidents and increased awareness of the importance of incident reporting.
