Abstract

The level of business competition is currently increasing in line with economic development, especially among companies offering comparable products such as oil. This study aims to examine the influence of brand image and product quality on purchasing decisions of Enduro oil products. A quantitative approach was employed, and data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 consumers residing in Serang City. The data analysis techniques used in this research include validity testing, reliability testing, normality testing, multicollinearity testing, heteroscedasticity testing, multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination, t-test, and F-test using the SPSS program. Based on the results of the F-test, the calculated F-value is 48.530, which is greater than the F-table value of 3.09, with a significance level of 0.001 < 0.05. This indicates that brand image and product quality simultaneously have a significant effect on purchasing decisions. The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.500, which means that brand image and product quality together influence 50% of the purchasing decision variable, while the remaining 50% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. Pertamina needs to strengthen Enduro’s image as a high-quality local product through intensive marketing campaigns, consistently maintain product quality, and improve product availability across various distribution channels to increase consumer awareness, retain customer loyalty, and attract new buyers.

Abstract

Serum uric acid level above 7 mg/dl is defined as hyperuricemia, which gives rise to the monosodium urate (MSU), causing gout and urolithiasis. Hyperuricemia is an independent risk factor as well as a marker for hypertension, heart failure, atherosclerosis, atrial fibrillation, and chronic kidney disease. MSU crystals, soluble uric acid (UA), or oxidative stress derived from xanthine oxidoreductase (XOR) might be plausible explanations for the association of cardio-renovascular diseases with hyperuricemia. In macrophages, MSU activates the Nod-like receptor family, pyrin domain containing 3(NLRP3) inflammasome, and proteolytic processing mediated by caspase-1 with enhanced interleukin (IL)-1β and IL-18 secretion. Soluble UA accumulates intracellularly through UA transporters (UAT) in vascular and atrial myocytes, causing endothelial dysfunction ad atrial electrical remodeling. XOR generates reactive oxygen species (ROS) that lead to cardiovascular diseases. Since it remains unclear whether asymptomatic hyperuricemia could be a risk factor for cardiovascular and kidney diseases, European and American guidelines do not recommend pharmacological treatment for asymptomatic patients with cardio-renovascular diseases. The Japanese guideline, on the contrary, recommends pharmacological treatment for hyperuricemia with CKD to protect renal function, and it attaches importance of the cardio-renal interaction for the treatment of asymptomatic hyperuricemia patients with hypertension and heart failure.

Abstract

The endurance of soccer players in Indonesia is generally still low. Aerobic capacity is an important component for improving physical fitness and endurance. When comparing several age groups, young players have less physical fitness. This study aimed to determine the effects of progressive training on changes in the maximum oxygen volume (VO2max) and heart rate (HR) based on recovery time. This study is quasi-experimental with a control group design and was conducted on student soccer athletes. Sixty athlete students who met the inclusion criteria were divided into a control group (n=30) and a progressive training group (n=30). The intervention consisted of progressive training for ten weeks with marathon running at distances of 150, 200, and 300 meters with rest intervals for each distance. The training load was gradually increased by increasing the number of repetitions every week. VO2 max, and Heart Rate were evaluated before and after the program. The results shown that the VO2 max was significantly different between the groups (p<0.001), and the Heart Rate of the subjects in both groups decreased from start to finish. Notably, the HR in the progressive training group was lower than the control group. In conclusion, progressive training is effective in improving aerobic capacity and physical fitness.

Abstract

Fit physical condition is needed in every sport, especially in soccer which is known to be one of the dynamic sports with dominant movements using anaerobic energy, and also aerobic energy to be able to last throughout the game for a long duration. Every player is required to have excellent physical fitness which is certainly supported by maximum aerobic capacity. For an athlete, aerobic capacity is mandatory to be increased as much as possible, especially in adolescence, because at this time it can contribute to an increase in aerobic capacity of up to 30-35% compared to adults and the elderly, The purpose of this study was to determine the profile of the physical fitness level of athlete students through VO2Max parameters and Forced Vital Capacity / FVC lung in football athlete students at Sriwijaya State Sports School (SONS) Sumatra South. This type of research is a descriptive analysis and data collection is carried out by laboratory using a treadmill device with the Bruce method which is the gold standard in cardiopulmonary fitness assessment and a spirometry tool to measure the forced vital capacity of the lungs. The subjects in this study amounted to 33 male students from the sport of football. The results of the data analysis showed that the majority of SONS football athlete students had a fitness level with less category (96.9%) and very less category (3.1%), the predicted value of Forced Lung Vital Capacity with normal category was 66.7% and the remaining 33.3% in the category below normal. The average count (mean) of pulmonary FVC value is = 2.86 liters, with a maximum value of 3.82 liters and a minimum value of 1.46 liters. It can be concluded that the level of physical fitness in SONS soccer players is still low, for that it is necessary to increase the maximum aerobic capacity and lung capacity of athlete students as much as possible through an intense and systematic training program.

Abstract

Background Zwolle, TIMI, and GRACE risk scores have been proven to predict mayor adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) in STEMI patients undergoing primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). However, they were developed over a long time ago which many advances have been made in the cardiovascular field today. The scores were also developed in the non-Asian majority population and their accuracy for Indonesian population remains unknown. We aimed to validate and compare these scores for Indonesian population. Methods An analytical observational study was conducted on 193 patients undergoing primary PCI. The Zwolle, GRACE, and TIMI risk scores were calculated for each patient. Then, the risk score validation was carried out with the calibration test using Hosmer Lemeshow test and discrimination test using the AUC ROC. Furthermore, the comparisons between the risk scores were carried out using the DeLong test. Results The three scores have good results in the Hosmer Lemeshow calibration test (p > 0.05). The discrimination test also indicated good results with AUC ROC Zwolle, TIMI and GRACE risk scores respectively 0.776; 0.782; 0.831 (p<0.05). There was no significant difference in the prediction accuracy of the three risk scores in the DeLong test. Conclusions The Zwolle, TIMI, and GRACE risk scores had good validity for predicting major adverse cardiovascular events in STEMI patients undergoing primary PCI. There was no significant difference in the prediction accuracy of the three risk scores. Keywords: Risk score, major adverse cardiovascular events, primary percutaneous coronary interventions
