Abstract

Literacy is an individual skill in absorbing knowledge. Most of the educational process depends on literacy skills and awareness. The literacy culture embedded in students affects their level of success, both at school and in community life. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide assistance to village communities in realizing a reading house in Pulau Telo Baru Village, Selat District, Kapuas Regency. The method of the activity is assistance with a qualitative approach from information sources in the form of interviews with the village head and the principal of SDN 1 Pulau Telo Baru regarding the unavailability of a reading house in Pulau Telo Baru Village. The results of this community service have proven to be able to reduce the problem of reading difficulties, provide space to develop literacy interests, the urgent need for a reading room and initiate a Reading House.

Abstract

Food security starts from availability on a small scale, namely households. Utilizing the function of the yard as a medium used by the community to grow their daily needs of vegetables. Urban farming as a strategic concept in meeting household needs and food security for village communities. Urban farming is an implementation of the Community Empowerment Assistant Lecturer Program of the Faculty of Engineering of Palangka Raya University in partnership with the Religious Women of RW 02/RW 03, Pahandut Seberang Subdistrict. Urban farming is located in a residential area on the banks of the Pahandut Seberang River, Pahandut District, Palangka Raya City. The service aims to stimulate riverside communities to use the area in their yards to grow vegetables as a pilot project carried out in the courtyard of the Daruth Tayyibah Mosque. The method uses qualitative methods from the results of interviews with residents' needs and consultations with residents. The result of the service was the implementation of urban farming in the courtyard of the Daruth Tayyibah Mosque, Pahandut Seberang Subdistrict, from the initial stage, discussion activities were carried out with the Head of RT.03/RW. 02 and the community, conducting outreach to the women of Koran regarding the introduction of hydroponics through, and it is hoped that the results of the urban farming pilot project can be used by women in their home gardens to grow vegetables for daily needs, and in the long term as a business opportunity for riverside communities.

Abstract

Indonesia currently has the status of a developing country, so it is increasing the construction of high-rise building infrastructure as a solution to limited space in urban areas. One of the buildings that is being intensively built in this country is rental office buildings where the need for these buildings increases along with Indonesia's economic growth. On the other hand, the green architecture or green building movement with the aim of creating environmentally friendly buildings is starting to emerge in Indonesia as an act of resistance to the issue of global warming in the world. Responding to this issue, Architectural Design V's task this time was to design a high-rise rental office building in Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan Province with a green building concept that focuses on energy efficiency.

Abstract

Community Service Program focus on the Independent Campus Learning KKN Program is a community service program initiated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia. This program is expected to train students' creativity, thereby providing the best solutions to problems in society, developing students' abilities in creating new ideas/solutions and providing added value to existing ideas/solutions, and encouraging students to be responsive in solving problems in society. The objectives of community service program activities in 2024 designed a pier as a connecting facility between Pulau Telo Baru Village and the Pulau Telo Baru village tourist island.  The main program for designing the pier is the implementation of the Master Plan planned by village officials who want to develop the Telo Baru Village Tourism Island as a tourist island which is expected to become a tourism icon for the Telo Baru Island village. The method uses a combined quantitative method by calculating the structural load of a footbridge and pier using SAP 2000 Analysis software, while the design of the footbridge and pier uses Autodesk Revit software. The results of the community service program activities are planning the structure of the footbridge and pier and designing the footbridge and pier as a tourism facility that can help generate income for the welfare of the village and the village community of Telo Island, Selat District, Kapuas Regency

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran LPK dalam meningkatkan kompetensi tenaga kerja di kota bontang, pada studi kasus LPK BBEC Bontang. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta pelatihan, instruktur dan pengelola sebagai narasumber selaku peseta dan pelaksana pelatihan berbasis kompetensi di LPK BBEC. Pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan metode wawancara dan observasi langsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa LPK BBEC memiliki peran yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi tenaga kerja melalui program pelatihan berbasis kompetensi yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan industri lokal, sehingga membantu peserta mengembangkan keterampilan dan pengetahuan yang dibutuhkan. Dari hasil kuesioner menunjukan bahwa bahwa dari 20 peserta, motivasi mengikuti pelatihan untuk menambah skill sebanyak 40%, motivasi mendapat pekerjaan/ berwirausaha sebanyak 50% dan motivasi mengikuti teman sebanyak 10%. Dari seberapa efektifnya pelatihan menunjukan program pelatihan sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta saat ini yang sesuai sebanyak 80% dan kurang sesuai 20%, materi pelatihan sesuai dengan kompetensi yang diharapkan 90% sesuai dan 10% Kurang sesuai, peserta yakin pelatihan ini meningkatkan kompetensi mereka yaitu 85% sesuai, 10% kurang sesuai dan 5% tidak sesuai, pelatihan ini berguna bagi peserta di masa mendatang menunjukan 100%. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga diharapkan memberikan kontribusi dalam meningkatkan keterampilan tenaga kerja sehingga lebih siap menangkap peluang di dunia kerja lokal maupun nasional, serta berkontribusi dalam pembangunan ekonomi lokal yang berkembang pesat di Kota Bontang.

Abstract

Utilizing footbridges and yards on the Kahayan Riverside area, Langkai Village as an initial idea in efforts to fulfill food security. Footbridges and yards are used as media where daily vegetable and fruit crops can be planted. Vegetables and fruit fulfill daily needs and provide special skills for children at Islamic boarding schools. The location of the Islamic boarding school in Palangka Raya City is located on the riverside area, this inspired the idea of ​​growing fruit and vegetables on the Kahayan. River side area to provide food supplies. The service aims to stimulate the children (Students) of Madradah Tsanawiyah Hidayatul Insan to use the walkways and yards as areas for growing fruit and vegetables. The location of the service is located at the Hidayatul Insan Islamic Boarding School on the Kahayan Riverside area, Langkai Village. The method used was a qualitative method based on interviews with Islamic boarding school supervisors, discussions regarding types of fruit and vegetable plants, and planting fruit and vegetables using hydroponic cultivation media by Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Hidayatul Insan students. Activities of the Community Empowerment Assistant Lecturer Program Team (PDPPM) FT UPR have provided assistance starting from the preparation stage, implementation stage, and until the stage of harvesting the plants. Abstract

Colleges function as learning centers that provide interactive academic environments. The Palangka Raya College of Informatics and Computer Management (STMIK) as the location of the research as a higher education institution located in Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan Province. The STMIK Palangka Raya building is designed to provide facilities that are in accordance with academic needs and accommodate teaching and learning activities for students, lecturers, and administrative staff focusing on informatics and computer management. The purpose of the study was to conduct a survey and analysis of the STMIK Palangka Raya building. The research method uses a qualitative method with a descriptive description of the results of the STMIK Palangka Raya building survey. STMIK Palangka Raya is designed with attention to the principles of security, accessibility, and user comfort. STMIK building materials used are of high quality and pay attention to energy efficiency. The research stages include analyzing the potential existence of STMIK, conducting visual observations and analyzing the availability of natural lighting in the STMIK building as an important factor because it affects the teaching and learning process related to the visual comfort of users of the space. Analysis of learning space as an analysis of the identification of campus building designs that provide student learning interest and analysis of green open spaces (parks) to create a beautiful learning environment and create fresh air. The output of the research is the identification of the location, structure, facilities, and lighting of STMIK Palangka Raya described in writing.

Abstract

Palangka Raya, as the provincial capital and center of government, has a strategic position in supporting the economic growth of Central Kalimantan. Economic sectors in Palangka Raya City. Economic growth is supported by one of them through Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The problem with the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) container has not been integrated in spatial planning for business/trade, culinary, handicrafts, and tourism services in Central Kalimantan. The purpose of the study is to design a center for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Central Kalimantan in Palangka Raya City. The research method uses a qualitative method through literature studies, comparative studies based on survey and interview data, and precedent studies to study the architectural approach. Analysis of Indonesian architecture, namely energy efficiency and user comfort, is carried out in the processing of mass composition, ventilation, and selection of building materials. The design approach to achieve the goal is the design of the Central Kalimantan MSME center through the Indonesian architecture approach, considering aspects of sustainability, local wisdom, and flexibility in its use. the concept of Indonesian architecture in designing patterns of mass composition and interior space arrangement, exterior space appearance, and material selection. This research is expected to contribute to the development of architectural designs for sustainable and culturally valuable Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises centers in Indonesia.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan jalan titian dan pekarangan di kawasan tepian Sungai Kahayan Kelurahan Langkai sebagai ide awal dalam upaya pemenuhan ketahanan pangan. Jalan titian dan pekarangan digunakan sebagai media yang dapat ditanam untuk tanaman kebutuhan harian sayur-sayuran. Pemenuhan kebutuhan harian di jalan titian diberikan keterampilan menanam sayur-sayuran bagi anak-anak pondok pesantren. Lokasi pengabdian yaitu Pondok Pesantren Hidayatul Insan di Kota Palangka Raya terletak di tepian Sungai Kahayan. Pengabdian bertujuan menstimulasi anak-anak di pondok Pesantren Hidayatul Insan untuk memanfaatkan jalan di titian dan pekarangan untuk menanam buah dan sayur. Lokasi pengabdian terletak di Pondok Pesantren Hidayatul Insan kawasan tepian Sungai Kahayan Kelurahan Langkai. Metode menggunakan metode kualitatif berdasarkan proses wawancara dengan Pembina Pengelola Pondok Pesantren, rembug dengan anak-anak pondok pemilihan tanaman buah dan sayur, dan menanam buah dan sayur menggunakan media budidaya secara hidroponik oleh anak-anak Pondok Pesantren. Tim PDPPM FT UPR melakukan pendampingan dalam proses pembelajaran urun rembug, mendesain lahan, memilih tanaman, menanam, dan merawat tanaman yang mudah hidup dan siap panen pada media hidroponik. Jangka panjang untuk pemberdayaan anak-anak pondok dan memberikan pelajaran wirausaha bagi anak-anak dan masyarakat tepian sungai dari hasil tanaman sebagai best practise bagi kampung lainnya sebagai bagian program konsep creative organic di kelurahan-kelurahan Kota Palangka Raya.   The utilization of walkways and yards in the Kahayan Riverbank area of Langkai Village as an initial idea in an effort to fulfill food security. The location of the service is the Hidayatul Insan Islamic Boarding School in Palangka Raya City, located on the Kahayan Riverside area. The community service aims to stimulate children at Hidayatul Insan Islamic Boarding School to utilize the walkway and yard to grow fruits and vegetables. The location of the service is located at Hidayatul Insan Islamic Boarding School on the banks of the Kahayan River, Langkai Village. The method uses a qualitative method based on the interview process with the Boarding School Management Supervisor, discussion with the boarding school children to select fruit and vegetable plants, and planting fruits and vegetables using hydroponic cultivation media by the boarding school children. The PDPPM FT UPR team provided assistance in the learning process of gathering, designing land, selecting plants, planting, and caring for plants that are easy to live and ready to harvest on hydroponic media. Long term for the empowerment of boarding school children and providing entrepreneurial lessons for children and riverbank communities from crops as best practices for other villages as part of the creative organic concept program in Palangka Raya City villages.

Abstract

Perencanaan Ruang Terbuka Hijau dilakukan melalui implementasi partisipasi masyarakat. Taman adalah contoh Ruang Terbuka Hijau ide dalam pemanfaatan lahan kosong di lingkungan perumahan dan permukiman. Taman di Ruang Terbuka Hijau bertujuan memfasilitasi masyarakat untuk menanam tanaman budidaya di lahan kosong perumahan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan rumah tangga di perumahan. Taman untuk tanaman budidaya bermanfaat untuk kawasan hijau dan area resapan di perumahan dalam waktu jangka panjang. Taman direncanakan berlokasi di kawasan perumahan Jalan Bandeng II Kelurahan Bukit Tunggal, Kecamatan Jekan, Kota Palangka Raya. Taman merupakan keinginan dan ide masyarakat perumahan Jalan Bandeng II Kelurahan Bukit Tunggal. Bentuk partisipasi aktif perumahan Jalan Bandeng II dibagi atas beberapa tahap antara lain: tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, yaitu pelatihan dan pembuatan taman, dan tahap pasca pelaksanaan, yaitu monitoring dalam pembuatan taman dan evaluasi implementasi penanaman difasilitasi oleh pihak pemerintahan Kelurahan Bukit Tunggal. Taman merupakan contoh sampel dari pengabdian masyarakat untuk penghijauan kawasan perumahan di Kota Palangka Raya. Taman merupakan bagian program kerja Kelurahan Bukit Tunggal, paguyuban bapak-bapak, dan ibu-ibu PKK Kelurahan Bukit Tunggal. Kegiatan pengabdian merupakan salah satu implementasi tridarma Perguruan Tinggi untuk masyakat, khususnya tim pengabdian Fakultas Teknik Universitas Palangka Raya. Metode pengabdian menggunakan data kualitatif berdasarkan observasi, wawancara dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Hasil penelitian adalah terlaksananya implementasi partisipasi masyarakat dalam perencanaan taman di Perumahan Jalan Bandeng II Kelurahan Bukit Tunggal sebagai apresiasi tridarma peguruan tinggi kepada masyarakat dari mendampingi pembuatan konsep taman, pendampingan pelatihan dan pelaksanaan penanaman.
