Abstract

Abstrack : Ecosystem is one of the material realeted to daily life. This research aims to develop a learners worksheet based on a scientific appoarch to the ecosystem material 7th Junior High School.This research was conducted in April-August 2017. The type of research is development research by using ADDIE model which done until development stage. There were three LKPD developed. Instrument used to collect data are students response questionnaires. The data were obtained from the development of LKPD based on the scientific appoarch on the 7th grade material ecosystem of the Junior High School which has been validated by 4 validators consisting of 2lecturers of biology education and 2 Junior High School teachers 1 Pekanbaru on desin aspect, pedagogic aspect, and content aspect. The revised LKPD is tested to university student, the average result of the university student respos on all LKPD was 3.17 score with good category (B). Then, tested to 7th grade student. The third mean LKPD has a score of 3.74 with a valid category. LKPD who obtained the highest score is LKPD 2 and 3 categorie, namely 3.75 valid. This can be seen in the scores obtained by LKPD 2 and 3 on each aspect.Keyword: Student’s Worksheet, Scientifik, Ecosystem

Abstract

Abstract : The study was conducted in classes X MA Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru to determine the increase learning outcomes of students by implementing cooperative model type Think Phair Share (TPS). This research is a classroom action research conducted in this study is the learning outcomes that emphasizes on three areas, namely knowledge, attitudes and skills. Data were collected using test and observation sheet. The results showed learning outcomes in every sphere has increased. The cognitive value seen from the results of daily tests on the firsts cycle that 82,21 (enough category)is increased in the second cycle is 90,71 (good category). Students who complete the first cycle of 22 students (78,57%) and increased in the second cycle is 28 (100%). On average of attitudes value in the first cycle , namely 77,82 (less category)and increased the second cycle 90,72 (good category). Average of skills value in the first cycle, namely 86,50 (enough category) and increased in the second cycle is 91,50 (good category). It can be concluded that the application of cooperative model Think Phair share(TPS) can improve learning outcomes students class X MA Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru. The award of a debtor groups in the cycle of I for two great teams ( the great the rest of the team ) is the same as one group , and the super ( super the rest of the team ) four groups of .While in the case of the cycle of II the whole smeru team had managed to develop into the criteria for the super ( super ) the rest of the team.Key Words : Cooperative model Think Phair Share (TPS), Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the implementation and practical barriers in learning biology class XI in SMA/equivalent in the eastern kampar district conducted in April to June 2017. The sample in this study as many as 113 students of class XI in high school / equivalent as Kampar Sub-district in the school year 2016/2017 and 5 class XI biology teachers as supporting data. The parameters of this research are implementation and practicum barriers to biology learning. The research instrument used questionnaire and observation sheet. The questionnaire consists of two parts: a closed questionnaire and an open questionnaire for data on the practicum implementation. The observation sheet is used for practicum data barriers. The data that has been collected is analyzed descriptively. The result of data analysis shows that the practicum implementation on all indicators is quite good with the average of 3.21 while the practicum barrier on the completeness of facilities and infrastructure is incomplete with the average of 1.48 in SMA/equivalent in the eastern kampar district.Keywords: Implementation And Practical Barriers

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to improve Student’achievement of students in class VIII.5 of SMP Negeri 5 Pekanbaru by implementation Learning Cycle 7E model with Mind Mapping technique. It was done in SMP Negeri 5 Pekanbaru on Maret of Mei 2019. Parameters which measure were student’s achievement. The methods of this research was classroom action research by implementation Learning Cycle 7E model with Mind Mapping technique. It was done in two cylce. There were planning step, acting step, observation step and reflection step for each cycle. The first cycle to apply learning materials KD.3.10. about the excreation system and in the second cycle to apply learning materials KD.3.11. regarding the concepts of vibrations, waves and sounds. The research instrument used was a learning device that consist of a lesson plan, syllabus, assesment authentic sheet, observation shee.t The collected data was analysed descriptively. The result of this research showed that Student’achievement in the first cycle was 79,2 with a predicate (C) and increased in the second cycle up to 89,93 with a predicate (B). Completeness percentage in the first cycle was 42,85% and increased in the second cycle up to 71,42%. Student’s attitude in the first cycle was 71,02 with a predicate (D) and increased in the second cycle up to 86,92 with a predicate (B). It can be conclude that Learning Cycle 7E model with Mind Mapping technique can improve Student’achievement of student in class VIII.5 SMP Negeri 5 Pekanbaru.Key Words: Learning Cycle 7E, Student’ Achievement, Mind Mapping Technique

Abstract

Abstract: The research was held with purpose to develop classroom-based assessment on biology science for 7th grade Junior High School. Classroom-based assessment include paper and pencil test, attitude assessment, performance assessment, product assessment, project assessment, self-assessment and portofolio assessment. The development was conducted at Biology Education University of Riau and the limiting test at SMPN 1 Pekanbaru. The research held on January until April 2014. Research and Development with ADDIE model was implemented in this research. Subject of this research consisted of four Basic-Competency on the 7th grade Junior High School. Validation sheet was used as the data collection instrument. This validation sheet was filled by the internal dan external validator. Collected datas were analyzed by descriptive statistics. Average results of the validity of class-based assessment are: 3.6 for the paper and pencil test, 3.7 for attitude assessment, 3.9 for performance assessment, 3.7 for product assessment, 3.8 for project assessment, 3.7 for self-assessment and 3.8 for portofolio assessment. On the last stage of the research, a limiting test was held by using self-assessment questionnaires on the 7th grade Hang Lekir of SMPN 1 Pekanbaru and the number of students is 35. Based on the research’s results, the development of classroom-based assessment on biology science for 7th grade Junior High School student was done with the ADDIE model that consists of some phase, start from analyze, design, develop, and the last is implementation in a limiting test. Based on the results of validation, classroom-based assessment could be implemented with the field test.Key words: biology science junior high school, classroom-based assessment, development

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the scientific literacy skills of students ofclass VII in Junior high school Pekanbaru City based on the 2015 PISA questions. Theschools sampled were SMP Negeri 4 Pekanbaru, SMP Negeri 20 Pekanbaru and SMPNegeri 22 Pekanbaru. This research is descriptive quantitative, determining the sampleusing the stratified random sampling technique, namely the sampling technique that isdone when the population is heterogeneous and the total sample obtained is 104students. This type of research data was obtained from the answers to the 2015 PISAquestions given to students. Data was collected by distributing PISA 2015 questionstaken from the e-book Take The Test Sample Question From OECD's PISA Assessmentin Indonesian translation. The 2015 PISA questions containing scientific literacy weretranslated as many as 14 questions containing biological content. Online sample datacollection using Microsoft word and google form. The data analysis technique wascarried out by calculating the percentage of mastery of scientific literacy in the aspectsof competence and knowledge and analyzed descriptively based on the criteria forscientific literacy abilities. To analyze the data on the results of the 2015 PISA questionanswer test, the scoring was done manually using the answer key obtained from thePISA released science item. The results showed that the achievement of scientificliteracy skills of students of class VII SMP Kota Pekanbaru was 24% with very poorachievement criteria.Key Words: Analysis, Scientific Literacy, PISA 2015 Questions

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to develop the Student Worksheet (LKPD) based on discovery learning for senior high school grade X of the topic of ecology in May-July 2020. The research was conducted in two places, namely to Student Worksheet validation was conducted at the FKIP UNRI Biology Education Campus and Student Worksheet limited trials were conducted at SMAN 8 Pekanbaru. This type of research refers to the R&D research approach using the ADDIE model developed by Dick and Carry. The subject of this research is the subject matter of Biology in senior high school grade X KD 3.10. The developed LKPD consisted of 3 meetings with a time allocation of 1 meeting for 45 minutes. The parameters of this study include the results of the validation of the development of student worksheet by the validator and respon assesment by student. The assessment is doing with validation sheet and a questionnaire. Data analysis is descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The results of this study indicate that student worksheet that have been developed are in the very valid category with an average score of all aspects of 3.52. The value of the answers to all aspects the value of the results of a limited trial phase I and stage II in all aspects obtained an average score of 3.65 with a very good category. Abstract

Abstract: Emotional intelligence has a greater contribution in determining the success of biology lesson in school. Most student rely on intellectual abilities to support their learning success. This study aims to determine the emotional intelligence profile of biology students. This research was conductedat SMA Negeri 2 Tambang in August 2020. This type of research is a descriptive study. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling technique so that the sample in this study were 173 students. The instruments used in data collection were a closed questionnaire and an open questionnaire. The questionnaire trial data was tested for validity and reliability using a computer program, namely Microsoft Excel. The results showed that the average indicator of students emotional intelligence was good. There are four indicators of emotional intelligence that are included in the good category, including students self-awareness with a mean of 3.18, self-regulation has a mean of 2.94, student motivation with an average of 3.31, ang student empathy has a mean of 3.20. the fifth indicator, namely social skills, has a mean of 3.25 with very good category.Key Words: Emotional intelligence, Profile, biology

Abstract

Abstract: Biology education students are future teacher candidates who are required to be able to have various competencies, one of which is competence in carrying out practical activities. Practical activities can provide contextual experience in implementing existing theoretical studies. However, there are various obstacles to carrying out practical activities that can affect the content knowledge of prospective biology teacher students. This study aims to develop independent learning resources for prospective teacher students in the form of a virtual laboratory equipped with a practical guide book. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of PMIPA FKIP Riau University, SMAN 8 Pekanbaru, and SMAN 14 Pekanbaru in December 2020 – May 2021. It used a Research and Development (R&D) approach with ADDIE model. The instruments used are validation sheets and response questionnaires. The validation results obtained an average value of 3.62 (virtual laboratory) and 3.51 (guidebook) in the very valid category. The results of the limited trial phase I obtained an average value of 3.88 (virtual laboratory) and 3.96 (guidebook) in the very good category. The results of the limited trial phase II obtained an average value of 3.80 (virtual laboratory) and 3.86 (guide book) in the very good category. The results showed that the virtual laboratory and guide books that were developed is good quality and suitable to be used as independent learning resources to increase content knowledge for prospective teacher candidates.Key Words: Virtual Laboratory, Practical Guide, Animal Base Tissue

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to produce a scientific literacy-based Student Worksheet on quality material for the Class XI High School Respiration System. This research was conducted at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Riau, SMAN 1 Pekanbaru and SMAN 8 Pekanbaru in October-February 2021. The type of research used was Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE research model consisting of 5 stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. In this study, researchers only reached the development stage. The data collection instruments were in the form of validation sheets and respondent questionnaires. The results of the validation of the Student Worksheet based on scientific literacy on the Respiration System material for class XI SMA are at an average value of 3.75 with a very valid category. The result of the limited trial score I was 3.60 with a very good category. The result of the limited trial score II was 3.69 with a very good category. Thus, the scientific literacy-based Student Worksheet on the Respiration System material for class XI SMA has been successfully developed with very good quality and can be implemented on a wider scale.
