Abstract

The students' low interest in reading and the lack of students' understanding of reading without pictures led to the need for developing comics as a medium of learning. The purpose of this research is to create comic media in the learning of fable stories for second-grade elementary school students. The type of research used is development research. This development study utilizes the ADDIE model, which consists of Analysis, Design. Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects consisted of 1 learning media expert and 1 learning design expert. The test subjects included 2 teachers and 1 student. The methods used in collecting data are observation and questionnaires. The instrument used in collecting data is a questionnaire. The technique used to analyze the data is descriptive quantitative. The result of the research is that the material expert test got a percentage of 86.00% in the very good category with very decent information. The trial of learning media design experts at a percentage of 90.00% with a very decent description and very good category. The teacher's response to the use of media is 89.00%, and the students are 90.40%, with both categories very good. It is concluded that the comics developed are suitable for use in second-grade elementary school students and can increase students' reading interest.

Abstract

Currently, there are still many schools that only focus on textbooks without the innovation and creativity of teachers in preparing teaching materials, so that it is very influential for the learning process. The purpose of this study was to develop design and feasibility of teaching materials based on Flipbook Maker application. The test subjects in this study were content experts, designs, instructional medias, and second grade elementary school students. This study uses the ADDIE development model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Data were collected using observation, interview and questionnaire methods. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. However the results of data analysis as follows. (1) Design of Flipbook Maker-based e-teaching materials which consists of five stages, namely the analysis stage (Analyze), the design stage (Design), the development stage (Development), the implementation stage (Implementation), and the evaluation stage (Evaluations). (2) teaching materials which are based on the Flipbook Maker have a good quality based on the results of the review of subject matter experts showing a score of 96%, the results of the learning design expert review showing a score of 100%, the results of the media expert review showing a score of 95%, the results of the individual test showing a score of 97.6% and the results of the small group trial showed a score of 99% so that the overall score showed a very good category. It is concluded that flipbook maker-based teaching materials are suitableĀ  used for learning.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of students in literacy. The study aims to analyze the effect of scanning on the computer-based national assessment of reading literacy competence in fifth-grade students. The type of research used was a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. This research was conducted with a total population of 253 students. The data collection method in this study is the test method, the test used is in the form of an objective test, with the types of tests used being multiple choice, complex multiple-choice, and matching questions totaling 30 validated questions. The collected data was normalized using the gain score and then analyzed using the t-test inferential statistics. Based on the results of data analysis, tcount= 9,453 more than ttable = 2,002 at a significance level of 5% (α = 0.05) with dk = (6-1) = 5, so there is a significant difference between the reading literacy competencies of students who are taught using scanning with those taught using conventional learning. Thus it can be concluded that the scanning effect on the reading literacy competence of fifth-grade students.

Abstract

Guru belum menerapkan model pembelajaran untuk diterapkan saat proses pembelajaran di dalam kelas sehingga proses pembelajaran masih menggunakan metode konvensional. Hal ini menyebabkan siswa akan cenderung bosan saat mengikuti proses pembelajaran di kelas karena masih terlalu monoton. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbantuan media Audiovisual terhadap kompetensi Bahasa Indonesia pada siswa kelas V SD. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi experiment dengan desain non-equivalent control group design. Sampel diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling jumlah seluruh siswa di SD adalah sebanyak 288 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan tes objektif pilihan ganda dengan empat pilihan jawaban (a, b, c, d). Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif dan teknik analisis statistik inferensial uji t. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan diperoleh thitung adalah 5,641 sedangkan ttabel pada taraf signifikansi 5% dan dk sama dengan 53 adalah 4,02. Hal ini berarti thitung lebih besar dari ttabel, sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbantuan Media Audiovisual terhadap kompetensi Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas V SD. Implikasi penelitian ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kompetensi bahasa Indonesia anak.

Abstract

Pembelajaran menyusun kalimat tanya merupakan pembelajaran yang sangat penting karena memberikan dampak positif terhadap keberhasilan belajar siswa dimasa mendatang. Tetapi realitanya menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan siswa menyusun kalimat tanya masih rendah. Hal ini disebabkan karena pendekatan dan media pembelajaran tidak bervariasi menyebabkan siswa bosan, siswa kurang termotivasi dan siswa kurang paham dalam menyusun kalimat tanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui model Discovery Learning berbasis media gambar terhadap kemampuan siswa menyusun kalimat tanya muatan Bahasa Indonesia kelas III sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimen semu (quasi eksperimental desaign) dengan rancangan desain penelitian bentuk non-equivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 159 siswa dari 3 sekolah negeri yang berbeda. Seluruh populasi disetarakan menggunakan uji Anava, setelah populasi setara dilanjutkan pengambilan sampel dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode tes objektif berjumlah 25 butir. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial (uji-t). Hasil analisis hipotesis diperoleh thitung = 3,822 lebih besar dari ttabel = 1,998 berdsarkan taraf signifikansi 5% dan dengan dk = 63, sehingga H0 ditolak. Sehingga, terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dari penggunaan model Discovery Learning berbasis media gambar terhadap kemampuan menyusun kalimat tanya muatan Bahasa Indonesia di kelas III sekolah dasar.
