Abstract

Meningkaatnya kebutuhan dan permintaan layanan yang beragam oleh user untuk dapat bertukar dan mendapatkan informasi secara real time, reliable, dan fleksibel menjadi salah satu permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh teknologi komunikasi yang ada saat ini. WLAN pada standar IEEE 802.11 merupakan salah satu teknologi wireless yang dapat menjadi solusi dari permasalahan tersebut. Memiliki cakupan area komunikasi yang tidak terlalu luas, yaitu antara 20-70 meter saja, hanya mampu melayani hingga 2007 stasiun, dan memiliki konsumsi energi yang cukup besar, menyebabkan beberapa sistem yang terdapat pada WLAN pada standar IEEE 802.11 kurang bekerja secara maksimal. Dengan beberapa kekurangan tersebut, maka WLAN pada standar IEEE 802.11 mengenalkan task group baru yang disebut IEEE 802.11ah. IEEE 802.11ah adalah standar WLAN baru yang bekerja pada spektrum frekuensi 900 MHz, cakupan area komunikasi yang mencapai 1 kilometer, mampu melayani 8192 stasiun dengan hierarki AID yang baru, memiliki konsumsi energi yang lebih rendah dan mampu meningkatkan nilai throughput dengan mekanisme RAW. Penelitian ini melakukan perubahan jumlah RAW slot pada IEEE 802.11ah untuk melihat bagaimana pengaruhnya terhadap performansi jaringan. Pada penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa perubahan jumlah RAW slot berpengaruh terhadap performansi jaringan, dalam hal ini adalah throughput, average delay, packet delivery ratio, dan energy consumption.

Abstract

Equal Cost Multipath Routing (ECMP) is a routing application where all available paths between two nodes are utilized by statically mapping each path to possible traffics between the source and destination hosts in a network. This configuration can lead to congestion if there are two or more traffics being transmitted into paths with overlapping links, despite the availability of less busy paths. Software Defined Networking (SDN) has the ability to increase the dynamicity of ECMP by allowing the controller to monitor available bandwidths of all links in the network in real-time. The measured bandwidth is then implemented as the basis of the calculation to determine which path traffic will take. In this research, an SDN-based ECMP application that can prevent network congestion was made by measuring the available bandwidth of each available paths beforehand, thus making different traffics transmitted on non-overlapped paths as much as possible. The proposed scheme increased the throughput by 14.21% and decreased the delay by 99% in comparison to standard ECMP when congestion occurs and has 75.2% lower load standard deviation in comparison to round-robin load balancer.

Abstract

Nowadays people are asking for a reliable network when technology at its limit. Software-Defined Network (SDN) is an answer to that problem of network development where all the control over the network becomes centralized. However, all services controlled by a centralized controller have a big disadvantage if the controller down. The High Availability (HA) is the solution. HA controller is divided into master and slave, when the master controller is down then the slave controller will respond to replace the function of the master controller. In this research, the system will be made by using two methods namely OpenDayLight SDN Controller Platform (OSCP) clustering and Heartbeat-DRBD (Distributed Replicated Block Device). OSCP clustering is a feature on the OpenDayLight controller that is ready to be used and only need to be configured, with OSCP the main and backup controller clustering will be on the connected cluster. Heartbeat-DRBD is an application commonly used to create High Availability systems on a server, but in this study will be used for the controller, Heartbeat will monitoring the main controller and if indicated to be down will move the resources to the backup controller with the DRBD application. From the simulation result shows that OSCP Clustering Failover and Failback average Time is 17 seconds while Heartbeat-DRBD is 23-45 seconds depends on how many switch and host are. While QoS parameters on both methods have similar value. It can be concluded that the High Availability system with OSCP Clustering method is more stable and good rather than Heartbeat-DRBD method to apply in a network.

Abstract

A smart grid aims to integrate alternative and renewable energy sources. NDN has the advantage of being better than IP networks and can optimize the delivery of information. The concept of Named Data Networking (NDN) is designed for smart grid systems. This study aims to implement the NDN concept on a smart grid system and analyze forwarding and caching strategies. The implementation of the system strategy is supported using the NDN network topology, which is based on IEEE 39. The author evaluates network performance by paying attention to parameters such as delay and cache hit ratio. From the data the author obtained, it can be concluded that the best route-LRU and client control-LRU systems are better choices to be implemented in a smart grid communication system than the best route-FIFO and client control-FIFO systems. In other words, the LRU caching override method is superior to the FIFO caching override method. Meanwhile, the forwarding method does not show significant graphical results. This happens because the forwarding method that the authors use has the same route determination. Something that differentiates between the best route and client control is only the control of selecting the path. The best route is controlled by the producer, and client control is controlled by the consumer.

Abstract

PKBM atau Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat merupakan lembaga pendidikan non-formal di Indonesia yang memberikan akses pendidikan dan pelatihan kepada masyarakat. PKBM berperan dalam memberdayakan masyarakat dengan meningkatkan kemandirian, partisipasi, kesadaran sosial, dan kesempatan kerja. PKBM Walidayna merupakan salah satu PKBM di Kota Medan yang menyediakan program kejar paket A, B, dan C bagi anak-anak putus sekolah. Meskipun PKBM Walidayna memiliki potensi pemberdayaan, pihak Walidayna menghadapi keterbatasan sumber daya, terutama dalam hal media informasi. Oleh karena itu, solusi yang ditawarkan adalah pembuatan website PKBM dan pelatihan bagi pengurus PKBM dalam mengoperasikan website. Metode yang diusulkan meliputi perencanaan kegiatan PKM, pelaksanaan pembuatan website dan pelatihan penggunaannya, serta observasi dan evaluasi untuk meningkatkan efektivitas kegiatan. Hasil Implementasi Website Media informasi bagi PKMB Walidayna dapat diakses pada laman https://yayasanwalidayna.id/. Dari umpan balik yang diperoleh dari peserta pelatihan yang merupakan pengelola PKBM Walidayna, disimpulkan bahwa website yang telah dikembangkan sesuai dengan kebutuhan PKBM Walidayna. Para pengelola merasa puas dengan tampilan yang menarik dan kemudahan penggunaannya.

Abstract

ABSTRAKInfrastruktur jaringan seperti router, secara tradisional menggunakan hardware yang bersifat proprietary. Teknologi virtualisasi pada fungsi jaringan atau NFV (Network Function Virtualization) membuat layanan ini dapat diimplementasikan sebagai aplikasi perangkat lunak yang dapat dijalankan di lingkungan virtual atau Virtualized Network Functions (VNFs). Selain menggunakan hypervisor (hardware-level virtualization), teknologi virtualisasi memiliki alternatif pengimplementasian dengan menggunakan teknologi containers (Operating system -level virtualization), salah satunya menggunakan Docker. Penelitian ini mengimplementasikan layanan FTP dan video streaming pada jaringan NFV di Docker Containers. Tanpa backgound traffic, layanan menunjukkan performansi QoS yang memenuhi standarisasi ITU-T G.1010 dengan delay FTP 0,12 ms dan delay video streaming 6,21 ms serta nilai packet loss kedua layanan sebesar 0%. Penggunaan CPU pada Docker ketika layanan dijalankan dibawah 1 %. Kata kunci: Virtualisasi, Containers, Docker, Network Function Virtualization, QoSABSTRACTNetwork infrastructure such as routers, traditionally using proprietary hardware. Virtualization technology on network function or NFV (Network Function Virtualization) makes this service can be implemented as a software application that can run in virtual environment or Virtualized Network Functions (VNFs). In addition to using hypervisor (hardware-level virtualization), virtualization technology has an alternative implementation using containers technology (Operating system-level virtualization), one of them using Docker. This research implements FTP and video streaming services on NFV networks in Docker Containers. Without background traffic, the service demonstrates QoS performance that meets the ITU-T G.1010 standardization with 0.12 ms FTP delay and 6.21 ms video streaming delay and with packet loss value of both services at 0%. Abstract

ABSTRAKSalah satu permasalahan di kota-kota besar adalah kemacetan lalu lintas yang disebabkan karena tidak mencukupinya ruas jalan, volume kendaraan yang begitu besar, persebaran kendaraan yang tidak merata dan lain-lain. Salah satu solusinya adalah para pengendara dapat menggunakan aplikasi peta digital pada smartphone-nya. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan pengimbangan beban trafik kendaraan. Pada penelitian ini akan dibahas mengenai kinerja VANET yang menggunakan protokol routing GPSR dan AODV dengan skema pengimbangan beban trafik kendaraan dengan pengaruh kepadatan node. Perancangan sistem simulasi terbagi menjadi dua subsistem yaitu subsistem mobilitas dan jaringan. Kemudian dilakukan pengimbangan beban trafik kendaraan, dan kinerja VANET akan diamati. Performansi dievaluasi dengan average end to end delay, throughput, dan packet delivery ratio. Nilai rata-rata throughput, PDR, delay untuk GPSR adalah 142.21 Kbps, 87.47 %, dan 82.83 ms. Sedangkan AODV adalah 119.81 Kbps, 86.67 %, dan 103.21 ms. Dari hasil penelitian nilai QoS performansi dari routing protocol GPSR lebih baik dari pada AODV pada VANET.Kata kunci: Vanet, Pengimbangan Beban, GPSR, AODV.ABSTRACTOne of the problems in big cities is congestion. The congestion is caused byinsufficient road segment, large volume of vehicles, unbalanced spread ofvehicles and others. One solution is that riders can use digital map applications on their smartphones. Therefore it is necessary to balancing the traffic load of vehicles. In this research will be discussed about VANET performance using GPSR and AODV routing protocol with vehicle traffic load balancing scheme with node density influence. The design of the simulation system is divided into two subsystems namely mobility and network subsystem. Then balancing the vehicle traffic load, and VANET performance will be observed. Performance is evaluated with the average end to end delay, throughput, and packet delivery ratio. The mean value of throughput, PDR, delay for GPSR respectively 142.21 Kbps, 87.47%, and 82.83 ms. While AODV is 119.81 Kbps, 86.67%, and 103.21 ms. From the simulation results can be concluded that the performance of GPSR is better than AODV on VANET. Keywords: Vanet, Load Balancing, GPSR, AODV.

Abstract

Abstract. This community service program aims to accelerate the digitalization of education in Pesisir Barat Regency, Lampung Province, through the implementation of Content Delivery Network (CDN) technology using Starlink services and the Learning Management System (LMS) Moodle. The 3T areas (frontier, outermost, and underdeveloped) in this region face infrastructure challenges that hinder stable and fast internet access, which is crucial to support technology-based learning processes. This program involves the installation of network devices, such as Starlink for stable internet access, gigabit switches, and the integration of the Moodle-based e-learning system. Additionally, intensive training is provided to teachers, administrators, and students on using Moodle as a digital learning platform and managing technology-based educational content. The program's success is measured through several parameters, including internet stability and speed, the improvement of digital skills among teachers and students, and the adoption and utilization rates of LMS Moodle in the learning process. Speed test results show a significant improvement. Survey results indicate a substantial impact on teachers' digital literacy. Based on questionnaires distributed to a total of 30 training participants, 60% (18 participants) reported being very satisfied with the alignment of the training materials with their needs. Regarding the delivery of the materials, 63.33% (19 participants) were very satisfied, 26.67% (8 participants) were satisfied, 6.66% (2 participants) were neutral, and 3.33% (1 participant) were very dissatisfied. Direct observation during the implementation showed that teachers could effectively utilize Moodle LMS to manage digital classes. They were trained to create and organize teaching materials, assign tasks, and monitor student progress. This evaluation also highlights the potential for replicating and sustaining the program in other schools within similar regions. Through this evaluation approach, the program is expected to have a tangible impact on improving the quality of learning, expanding digital access, and serving as a model for implementation in other 3T areas across Indonesia.

Abstract

Kebutuhan akses internet saat ini sangat tinggi. Hampir di seluruh tempat kerja atau kantor mengintegrasikan internet ke dalam manajemen pekerjaan. CV. Natusi merupakan perusahaan yang menginginkan aktivitas sosial media berbasis video dapat berjalan tanpa mengganggu aktivitas kerja kantor. Namun, CV. Natusi belum dapat mengarahkan trafik tertentu sebagai prioritas seperti konten sosial media video ke ISP tertentu pada sistem multi ISP yang dianggap memiliki kualitas dan kinerja lebih baik dibanding sistem CV. Natusi saat ini.Dalam Tugas Akhir ini telah dilakukan perancangan dan implementasi firewall mikrotik sebagai mark routing untuk jaringan multi ISP untuk jaringan internet di CV. Natusi. Perancangan dilakukan menggunakan tiga skenario pada konten video media sosial dengan melakukan analisis beban data dan analisis kualitas jaringan. kualitas jaringan dilakukan dengan pengukuran QoS yaitu latency dan jitter.Dari penelitian tersebut, marking route diaplikasikan pada mikrotik router yang ada di gedung utama CV. Natusi. Perusahaan ini memiliki 2 ISP yang sama yaitu Indihome. Setelah itu, melakukan analisa beban data dan analisa kualitas jaringan. Pada analisa beban data, skenario firewall mikrotik sebagai marking route memiliki hasil stabil dan sesuai yang diharapkan dibanding skenario lainnya. Firewall mikrotik memiliki kualitas jaringan yang lebih baik dibanding skenario lain, diantaranya memiliki latency 49% lebih kecil dibanding ECMP 1:1 dan 6% lebih besar dibanding ECMP 1:2. Pada jitter, memiliki hasil lebih kecil 9% dibanding ECMP 1:1 dan 41% dibanding ECMP 1:2. Dapat disimpulkan performa dari skenario firewallmikrotik sebagai marking route memiliki hasil yang lebih baik dibanding skenario lainnya.
