Abstract

Virtual reality (VR) based games are a type of game that provides immersive gaming experience, allowing players to dive into the virtual world of the game being played. VR-based games require a high minimum computer specification, so thin clients cannot play VR-based games properly. This research aims to see how to enable thin computers to play VR-based games by utilizing cloud gaming technology. Using a high specification computer as a server, an android device as a VR headset, this Final Project implements a VR headset device so that it can be used in conjunction with cloud gaming services to be able to play VR-based games on thin computers and see how well the implementation by seeing the result from computer resources used and the Quality of Services. With Parsec cloud gaming services, the application carried out in this Final Project can run well on computers with low specifications. CPU usage on the client computer when the service is running is high at 91% usage, with 2818 MB RAM usage. Quality of Service is obtained when setting the highest quality preset, with a throughput of 16MB with a delay of about 2 ms. VR games that are played can run well with a minimum bandwidth of 15 Mbps selected from the Frame per Second (FPS) results obtained to reach 56 FPS with medium quality settings.

Abstract

The data distribution mechanism of internet protocol (IP) technology is inefficient because it necessitates the user to await a response from the server. Named data networking (NDN) is a cutting-edge technology being assessed for enhancing IP networks, primarily because it incorporates a data packet caching technique on every router. However, the effectiveness of this approach is highly dependent on the router's content capacity, thus requiring the use data replacement mechanism when the router capacity is full. The least recently used (LRU) method is employed for cache replacement policy; yet, it is considered ineffective as it neglects the content's popularity. The LRU algorithm replaces the infrequently requested data, leading to inefficient caching of popular data when multiple users constantly request it. To address this problem, we propose a segmented LRU (SLRU) replacement strategy that considers content popularity. The SLRU will evaluate both popular content and content that has previously been popular in two segment categories, namely the probationary and protected segments. Icarus simulator was used to evaluate multiple comprehensive scenarios. Our experimental results show that the SLRU obtains a better cache hit ratio (CHR) and able to minimize latency and link load compared to existing cache replacement policies such as First In, First Out (FIFO), LRU, and Climb.

Abstract

Load balancing adalah mekanisme untuk membagi beban komputasi ke beberapa server. Load balancing ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan resource dan meningkatkan throughput agar server tidak mengalami overload. Software Defined Network (SDN) adalah teknologi jaringan komputer yang memisahkan fungsi Data Plane dan control plane. Protokol OpenFlow digunakan untuk mengontrol/mengelola arus lalu lintas, tetapi OpenFlow ini telah ditentukan dan tidak dapat diubah atau dimodifikasi. Untuk mengatasi masalah di atas, Programming Protocolindependent Packet Processors (P4) adalah bahasa pemrograman untuk pemrograman top-down yang dapat menentukan bagaimana pipeline pada switch bekerja dan bagaimana paket-paket ini dapat diproses. P4 ini dapat mengatasi kelemahan OpenFlow yang kurang fleksibel dalam mengontrol/mengatur arus trafik dan memungkinkan berjalannya proses load-balancing. Pada Tugas Akhir ini telah dilakukan simulasi dan analisis load balancing pada infrastruktur jaringan yang dapat diprogram berbasis bahasa P4. Algoritma round-robin dengan P4 memiliki nilai throughput rata-rata 127,61 KB/s. Algoritma hash IP dengan P4 memiliki nilai throughput rata-rata 127,50 KB/s. Algoritma round robin memiliki nilai response time rata-rata 3,13 ms; pada algoritma hash IP, nilai rata-ratanya adalah 12,16 ms. Nilai response time sistem berbasis P4 dengan algoritma round robin lebih baik daripada algoritma hash IP, dan request loss kedua sistem dapat mendistribusikan request dengan baik sehingga request loss sebesar 0%.Kata Kunci—load balancing, data plane, P4, round robin, IP hash

Abstract

Sistem presensi manual berbasis kertas yang masih digunakan di SMK Telekomunikasi Telesandi Bekasi menimbulkan berbagai permasalahan seperti proses double entry yang memakan waktu, kerentanan terhadap kesalahan pencatatan, dan keterlambatan pelaporan data kehadiran. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengimplementasikan sistem presensi siswa berbasis Machine Learning menggunakan teknologi deteksi wajah dan deteksi senyuman untuk meningkatkan efisiensi administrasi sekolah. Metodologi penelitian menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif yang melibatkan pihak sekolah pada setiap tahapan, mulai dari diskusi awal, pengumpulan dan analisis data, pengembangan sistem berbasis Python dan OpenCV, pelatihan dan sosialisasi, hingga evaluasi dan monitoring implementasi. Sistem yang dikembangkan terdiri dari tiga komponen utama yaitu aplikasi presensi berbasis Python dan OpenCV, model deteksi wajah serta senyuman sebagai validator presensi, dan dashboard web berbasis cloud untuk pemantauan kehadiran. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa fitur pendeteksian wajah, pembuatan dataset, dan proses face recognition berjalan dengan baik meskipun modul penyimpanan otomatis ke cloud masih dalam tahap pengembangan. Evaluasi melalui post-test terhadap 142 responden menunjukkan mayoritas peserta memberikan respons positif dan mengalami peningkatan pemahaman konsep Machine Learning. Sistem ini berhasil meningkatkan efisiensi proses presensi, mengurangi ketergantungan pencatatan manual, serta meningkatkan literasi teknologi siswa dan guru dalam bidang Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, dan pemrograman Python yang selaras dengan pendidikan vokasi berbasis teknologi.
