Abstract

This research is motivated by the low self-confidence of students in learning physical education in elementary schools so that requires educators to apply appropriate learning models to overcome these problems. One of the right learning models to increase student confidence is the movement education model. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the implementation of the movement education model on student confidence. The method used was Classroom Action Research with 2 cycles, which consisted of 2 meetings each. The study was conducted at SDN 138 Gegerkalong Girang, Bandung City, with class V A samples totaling 29 (11 men and 18 women). The instrument in this study used the observation sheet of student confidence. Based on research data, it can be concluded that students' self-confidence increases.AbstrakStudi ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kepercayaan diri siswa dalam pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani di sekolah dasar sehingga mengharuskan pendidik dapat menerapkan model pembelajaran yang tepat untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang tepat untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa adalah dengan model pendidikan gerak. Tujuan dari studi ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari implementasi model pendidikan gerak terhadap kepercayaan diri siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan 2 siklus, yang terdiri dari masing-masing 2 pertemuan. Studi dilakukan di SDN 138 Gegerkalong Girang, Kota Bandung, dengan sampel kelas V A yang berjumlah 29 (11 laki-laki dan 18 perempuan). Instrumen dalam studi ini menggunakan lembar observasi kepercayaan diri siswa. Berdasarkan data hasil studi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kepercayaan diri siswa meningkat.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the joint motion kinetics of the shoulders, elbows, and wrists between experienced player (skilled player) group and unskilled player group when performing overhead standing smash in badminton game. The samples involved were 26 samples. The samples included 13 male badminton players joining Student Activity Unit who had achieved many achievements and had a high skill (skilled), while the other 13 samples were unskilled players, involving students who had just studied under one year. The mean of participants’ age was 19.4 ± 1.6 years, height was 1.73 ± 0.12m, and body weight was 62.8 ± 3.7kg. This study used 3 Panasonic Handycams, a calibration set, 3D Frame DIAZ IV motion analysis software, and a speed radar gun. Normalization of the kinetic motion score of the shoulder, elbow, and wrist joints was calculated using the inverse dynamics method. The t-test was used to determine the significance of motion kinetic difference of the two different groups. The results presented that the shuttlecock speed of the skilled player group, during the overhead standing smash, showed a significant difference. Meanwhile, the joint motion of the inferior shoulder force, shoulder anterior force, shoulder internal rotation torque, shoulder horizontal abduction torque, elbow anterior force, and wrist flexion torque were higher in the skilled players group than the unskilled player group.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the differences of proficiency in fine motor skills and gross motor skills based on gender. 147 children at the elementary school level were divided into two groups according to their gender. 78 Boys (aged 8.5±0.4) and 69 girls (aged 8.3±0.3) have participated in this study. The instrument used in this research was the Movement Assessment Battery for Children–second edition (MABC-2). The statistical test used a non-parametric Mann-Whitney U test, while r coefficient was used to interpret the effect size. The result of the study showed that the manual agility of boys was better than girls. However, the difference was not significant and the effect size was small (p .05, r = .004). The result also showed that the catching and throwing skills of boys were better. The difference was not significant and the effect size was small (p .05, r = .023). Meanwhile, the balance of the boys was better than the girls with a significant difference and medium effect size (p .05, r = .055). In general, the result of the study shows that boys are better than girls in fine and gross motor skills proficiency.

Abstract

Concerns to children with disabilities in terms of their needs for moving and level of physical activity have not been supported by a teacher supply system that is appropriate for their field of study, namely adaptive physical education teachers. This study is aimed at portraying teachers’ profiles of Adaptive Physical Education in special schools in Indonesia. The data collection was carried out by means of questionnaires and articulated with the descriptive approach. The result of the study reveals that the number of specialist teachers with physical education backgrounds is still meager, which is only around 38 percent, compared to those who graduated from Special Education Program, which more than 60.5 percent. The majority of the teachers have never been given a chance to improve their PE teaching competency in the form of training (86,4 percent). It is recommended that there should be an openness from those working in special schools and the Ministry of Education and Culture of the urgent need for this adaptive physical education teacher.  The statement will encourage the evolve of national urgency and drive all the stakeholders to respond to it institutionally, for instance by opening the program for adaptive physical education or at least to pave the way with initially offering concentration for this adaptive PE under the generic PE program.

Abstract

This research comes from the problem of a futsal referee when lead the competition and make a basic trouble because lack of comprehension regarding the rule of futsal itself. This things makes the referee performance does not maximum when lead the competition. The goal of the research is to know the relations between comprehension of futsal rule with Referee performance of asprov PSSI west java  when lead the competition. The method that used in this research is descriptive method. The sample and population that used in this research is 19 registered referees that has National license in AsprovPSSI West Java using saturated sampling. The instrument that used is questionnaire that consists of questions about play rules and observation which refers to referee assessment format from PSSI. The result shows that there is significant relation between comprehensioni of futsal rules with Referee performance of asprov PSSI west java when lead the competition with the correlation coefficient value 0.702 that categorized as sufficient. The writer suggest the AsprovPSSI West Java referee to defend and increase the comprehension level regarding rules play and referee performance in order to increase the quality in leading the futsal competition. Abstract

Peer teaching adalah sebuah model pembelajaran yang dapat mengembangkan aspek afektif seperti kerjasama, komunikasi dan mengembangkan rasa percaya diri sehingga Jumlah Waktu Aktif Belajar siswa dapat meningkat. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi peningkatan Jumlah Waktu Aktif Belajar (JWAB) dalam pembelajaran bolatangan dengan menerapkan medel pembelajaran Peer Teaching. Metode menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), di SMA AL-Musyawarah Lembang, dengan sampel 33 orang dan terdiri dari 14 siswa putra dan 19 siswa putri. Hasil penelitian secara umum menunjukan siswa bergerak secara aktif sehingga meningkatkan Jumlah Waktu Aktif Belajar (JWAB) yang ditunjukan dari motivasi tinggi pada saat terlibat dalam pembelajaran permainan bolatangan. Tutor dan siswa dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berkomunikasi dan berinteraksi dengan orang lain. Kesimpulan penelitian bahwa model peer Teaching dapat gunakan pada pembelajaran bolatangan, karena secara bertahap dapat meningkatkan nilai kerjasama, komunikasi, menyampaikan informasi dan mengembangkan rasa percaya diri sehingga Jumlah Waktu Aktif Belajar (JWAB) sebagai indikator bahwa siswa terlibat secara aktif selama pembelajaran juga meningkat.

Abstract

The lack of student self-regulation in learning requires educators to implement a self-regulated learning model to improve the student ability to control themselves, have high confidence, be responsible, and be more independent in learning table tennis, thus the students are motivated to achieve the learning goals. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the SRL model in table tennis learning could improve the student self-control. The research method used was an experimental research method employing the Post-test Only Control Group Design. The population of this study were 80 students of the PETE for Elementary School Study Program of a university. The sampling technique used was the simple random sampling, involving 40 people. The instrument used to measure self-control was adopted from Tangney (self-control scale). The data analysis technique used was independent sample t-test employing SPSS 24 software for windows. The results showed that the self-regulated learning model had a significant effect on self-control in table tennis learning for PETE for Elementary School Study Program students.

Abstract

Having good physical fitness is the foundation for carrying out daily activities. Maintaining physical fitness requires knowledge and understanding for performing meaningful physical activities. This study aimed to analyze the physical fitness knowledge test instrument for college students using the Rasch modelling data analysis technique. The design, development, and research method employed the product model and research tool that consisted of four stages, including analysis, design, development, and evaluation. The samples involved in the instrument trial were 67 students from one university in Indonesia. The analysis used was the content validity ratio for testing content validity and the item response theory/Rasch model test employing Winstep software to determine the validity and reliability of the test instrument. The results of the data analysis showed a match between the students and the test instruments with very good quality items. It concludes that the test instrument development using the Rasch model can detect student misconceptions on physical fitness knowledge material.

Abstract

Penerapan pembelajaran penjasorkes sangat berbeda jauh dengan pandangan makna asli dari proses pembelajaran penjasorkes yang seharusnya di sekolah. Proses pembelajaran penjasorkes di sekolah tidak hanya menekankan pada tujuan olahraganya saja, akan tetapi dengan aktivitas jasmani dan olahraga yang dilakukan tersebut bisa mencapai tujuan pendidikan itu sendiri. Salah satu cara yang dilakukan adalah dengan memodifikasi pembelajaran terutama pada pembelajaran permainan, supaya pembelajaran lebih menarik dan tidak terjadi kejenuhan. Permasalahan itulah yang menjadi dasar penelitian mengenai modifikasi alat dalam upaya meningkatkan hasil belajar keterampilan bermain bulutangkis. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (the classroom action research), yaitu suatu penelitian yang berbentuk kajian yang bersifat reflektif. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas III di SDPercobaan Negeri Setiabudi Bandung. Serta pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan GPAI untuk aspek penilaian permainan bulutangkis. Hasil pengolahan data dari setiap siklus yang dilakukan adalah sebagai berikut: pada observasi awal keputusan yang diambil yaitu sebesar 21,83; keterampilan yang dilakukan sebesar 21,83; dan gerak pendukung sebesar 22,17. Selanjutnya pada siklus I keputusan yang diambil yaitu sebesar 39,83; keterampilan yang dilakukan sebesar 39,33; dan gerak pendukung sebesar 40,67. Dan pada siklus II keputusan yang diambil yaitu sebesar 63,5; keterampilan yang dilakukan sebesar 61,5; dan gerak pendukung sebesar 71,83. Dari setiap siklus tersebut terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar keterampilan bermain bulutangkis yang berarti.Kesimpulannya yaitu penerapan permainan bulutangkis yang dimodifikasi dalam pendidikan jasmani dengan latar belakang penelitian tindakan kelas memberikan peningkatan yang bermakna terhadap keterampilan bermain bulutangkissiswa di SD Percobaan Negeri Setiabudi Bandung.
