Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana penggunaan metode mengajar guru geografi dalam proses belajar mengajar mata pelajaran geografi di MAN Tomini. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskripsi kualitatif. Adapun sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu 3 orang guru Geografi dan 48 siswa IPS. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dan angket. Selanjutnya data yang terkumpul diolah dan dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan menggunakan tiga tahap yaitu: reduksi data, penyajian data, kemudian disimpulkan/diverifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa guru-guru geografi di MAN Tomini dalam pelaksanaan proses belajar mengajar tidak memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan dalam hal penggunaan metode. Semua guru menggunakan metode ceramah sebagai metode utama. Metode lain yang digunakan adalah metode pemberian tugas dan metode diskusi serta dua metode yang hanya digunakan oleh guru kelas X SOS yakni metode demonstrasi dan metode eksperimen. Persepsi siswa terhadap penggunaan metode mengajar guru cukup bervariasi, menarik, tidak membosankan dan membuat siswa mudah memahami materi serta senang mengikuti pelajaran geografi.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the learning process of geography and to determine the factors supporting and inhibiting the learning process of geography during the Covid-19 pandemic at SMA Negeri 1 Dondo, Toli-Toli Regency. This research was carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Dondo located in Tinabongan Village, Dondo District, Toli-Toli Regency with a qualitative descriptive research type and used the subject of geography teachers and students. Collecting data using the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that: 1) SMA Negeri 1 Dondo conducted Geography lessons in accordance with a circular regarding the implementation of education during the coronavirus disease (Covid19) emergency, so learning activities were carried out online. This online learning will not take long because Dondo is still in the green zone, so learning can be carried out face-to-face with an odd-even system. Learning planning at SMA Negeri 1 Dondo has held training for teachers in schools in learning design, namely making emergency lesson plans. Teachers use learning outcomes and evaluations to determine students' abilities to improve further learning. 2) Supporting factors for the Geography Learning Process during the Covid-19 Pandemic at SMA Negeri 1 Dondo are the facilities provided by the school and training held at the school for teachers. The inhibiting factor for the Geography Learning Process during the Covid-19 Pandemic at SMA Negeri 1 Dondo is that there are still teachers and students who have not mastered IT and this is considered ineffective, as well as the odd-even system that is not implemented properly.

Abstract

The aim of this research is (1) Describe the background of social conflict in Pengawu Village and Duyu Village. (2) Describe the implications of social conflict in Pengawu Village and Duyu Village for students at SMAN 6 Palu. By using a Qualitative Descriptive Method. The data analysis unit is students at SMAN 6 Palu. Sampling using Snowball sampling technique. The number of informants is 15 people. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data collected were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that there were four factors causing conflicts in Pengawu Village and Duyu Village, namely alcoholism, anger, generational disparity, and the economy. The implications of community conflict with students at SMAN 6 Palu are fear of going to school, moving to another school, the concentration of learning is decreasing and the interest of prospective new students at SMAN 6 Palu is decreasing.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the Role of the Geography Teacher is in Forming the Discipline Character of Students through Learning at SMA Negeri 4 Palu. The research approach used is a qualitative approach. This approach is a research strategy to obtain valid data according to the characteristics. The objects of research are school principals, geography teachers and students. Data collection techniques used in this study were carried out using observation, interviews and documentation approaches. While the data analysis method used is inductive analysis, meaning that the researcher describes specific events and then draws general conclusions. The results of the study show that geography teachers who always teach by giving advice and motivation do not forget to also reprimand and give educational punishments to students who break the rules. The role of the geography teacher is in shaping student discipline by providing guidance and motivation before entering class, applying discipline both in terms of time according to the rules that exist at school, dressing neatly, maintaining cleanliness so that you can study comfortably and have fun in class. Then in an effort there must be supporting and inhibiting factors. In practice teachers, parents, peers and the community environment can be factors that support or hinder efforts to build disciplinary character.
