Abstract

The purpose of this research is to conduct a theological study of the culture of the Amarasi people in carrying out the death cycle rituals of suis, na'sore, nanuin in Soba Village. The research method used is qualitative-descriptive, using interview data collection techniques and documentation studies. The results of his research are anthropologically the ritual practices in the death cycle of suis, na'sore, nanuin aim to get rid of people who have died and provide safety protection for widows/widowers. However, theologically it turns out that there are practices that are irrelevant to the Christian faith because they deviate from Bible teachings, for example talking to people who have died and assuming that to get health and safety there are a number of taboos that must be done and this is the same as serving other gods in their case. are christians.

Abstract

The title raised in this study is Pedagogical-Theological Meaning in the Waura Watu Tradition in the Anakalang Community, Central Sumba. The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze the dynamics of the perceptions of the Anakalang people and the pedagogical-theological meaning of the waura watu (stone pulling) grave tradition in the Anakalang community, Central Sumba. This type of research is qualitative research with in-depth interview techniques conducted on key informants, namely traditional leaders, traditional practitioners, religious leaders, and the organizers of the stone pulling ritual. The results of the study show that the tradition of pulling gravestones has an important meaning in the traditions of the Sumba people, especially to honor or respect their ancestors. Since hundreds of years ago until now. The grave stones in Anakalang have a function that cannot be replaced until now, even though graves are known to be made of cement. The erection of grave stones and the tradition of stone pulling are integrated into the daily life of the Anakalang people against a background of religious conceptions which are seen as the legacy of their ancestors which must be upheld, because they have pedagogical values, namely mutual cooperation, unity in society, kinship, culture and deep theological values. That is why the variety of stone-pulling culture in Sumba has penetrated the theoretical time period and has continued until now as a tradition.

Abstract

On Ndao Island, Ndao Nuse Subdistrict, Rote Ndao Regency, the people have two prominent skills and have become the livelihoods of the people on the island, namely weaving skills (manènnu) and craftsmen or silversmiths (tuku). The two skills of the above Ndao island community are passed on by parents with informal and non-formal education patterns, but the two cultures experience different developments. Manènnu culture is still developing today among women while tuku culture is almost extinct. To find out the existence and cause of near extinction of Tuku’s skills, this research was carried out with the formulation of the problem as follows: 1) how the existence of silver or tuku craftsmen on Ndao Island; 2) what is the cause of the almost endangered skill of silversmiths or tuku in Ndao Island; 3) how are the efforts of the people of Ndao Island to pass down the culture of silversmiths or tuku to young generation. This study aims: 1) to find out the existence of silver or tuku craftsmen on Ndao Island; 2) to find out the cause of the almost endangered skill of silversmiths or tuku in Ndao Island; 3) to know the efforts of the people of Ndao Island to pass down the culture of silversmiths or tuku to their young generation. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method with interview and observation techniques for data collection. From the results of data analysis it can be concluded the following matters: First, there is an effort of cultural inheritance in society but does not use the right pattern. Second, the lack of interest in the younger generation to learn tuku. Third, the existence of cultural assimilation is the inclusion of a new method of fishing that is using a large trawl boat with a large trawl type so that many young people from Ndao Island who do not want to learn tuku skills and prefer to be subordinates to lampara boats whose income is actually far below the skills of tuku. Besides that, there are many people who pursue seaweed cultivation, the Fourth. The more difficult the silver raw materials in the community. The fifth pattern of cultural inheritance is not done well and well organized.

Abstract

The Nai Meko people are the Atoin Meto people who have experienced a winding and complicated history. To study the nuances of faith possessed by the Nai Meko people, the author uses an anthropological approach and aspects of the lives of the people they live. So the purpose of this writing is a contextual effort to read the quality of faith of the Nai Meko people within the framework of the political conspiracy that was experienced during the Portuguese and Dutch colonial periods. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with interview techniques and documentation studies. The interesting thing that exists in the lives of people and the people of Nai Meko every day is, even though they are a society that has been under pressure because of conspiracy politics, they believe in the Most High according to their original religious concept, and they are very deeply rooted in the Catholic faith, so they don't drifting in fatalistic attitudes and lifestyles. In order to maintain harmony in society, the people of Nai Meko develop a dialogical dialogue between the Christian faith and the notion of the Divine by the indigenous religions. It turns out that a theological approach as well as a humanistic pastoral approach is very much needed, so that humans and local communities can be directed to the right and civilized path. Another thing that needs attention is civilized social communication to harmonize two interests, between the Catholic faith and the original religious faith.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to determine the involvement and activeness of Christian Religious Education Teachers at Public Middle Schools in Kupang City in the ministry of clerical affairs as presbyters and as categorical servants, especially in the category of children and adolescents or what is often called Sunday school. The method used in this study is a qualitative method by interviewing 41 Christian Religious Education Teachers spread across 12 State Public Middle Schools in the city of Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara. From the results of the study, it was found that although this Christian Religious Education teacher had a correct understanding of the background of his attendance at school, namely Christian Religious Education teachers were church servants sent to serve congregations in schools, but most Christian Religious Education teachers did not have a relationship with the church. or not yet involved in the church ministry where he is a member, either as a presbyter or as a minister of children and youth (Sunday school). This conclusion was stated based on the informant's admission during the interview that 1) They did not have free time to be involved in church services, 2) Church services had many people taking care of it so they did not need to be involved, 3) Christian religious education teachers were paid by the state, not church so that they focus more on taking care of teaching in schools than in church.Tujuan dari penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk mengetahui keterlibatan dan keaktifan Guru-guru PAK yang ada di Sekolah Menengah Umum (SMU) Negeri se-Kota Kupang dalam pelayanan bidang kemajelisan gereja sebagai presbiter dan sebagai pelayan kategorial khususnya kategorial anak dan remaja atau yang sering disebut sekolah minggu. Metode yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan mewawancarai 41 Guru PAK yang tersebar di 12 SMU Negeri yang ada di wilayah Kota Kupang, Nusa Tenggara Timur. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa walaupun Guru PAK ini memiliki pemahaman yang benar tentang latarbelakang kehadirannya di sekolah yaitu guru PAK adalah pelayan gereja yang diutus untuk melayani jemaat di sekolah-sekolah, namun sebagian besar guru PAK belum memiliki hubungan dengan gereja atau belum terlibat dalam pelayanan gereja, dimana ia sebagai anggotanya, baik sebagai presbiter maupun sebagai pelayan anak dan remaja (sekolah minggu).  Kesimpulan tersebut dikemukakan berdasarkan pengakuan informan pada saat wawancara bahwa 1) Mereka tidak punya waktu luang untuk terlibat dalam pelayanan di gereja, 2) Pelayanan gereja sudah banyak orang yang mengurusnya karena itu mereka tidak perlu terlibat, 3) Guru PAK digaji oleh negara bukan gereja sehingga mereka lebih fokus mengurus pengajaran di sekolah dari pada di gereja.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mencari nilai-nilai alkitabiah yang dapat dijadikan oleh gereja sebagai kekuatan dalam melakukan moderasi beragama. Penelitian ini dilakukan mengunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisa mendalam terhadap berbagai literatur dengan mangacu pada alkitab sebagai landasan biblis utama. Ada empat nilai yang ditemukan dari penelitian ini yaitu 1). Nilai kebaikan dan perdamaian yang direflesikan dari ajaran Raja Daud, Rasul Yohanes dan Rasul Paulus tentang berbuat baik, menjauhi yang jahat, tidak membenci orang lain dan selalu berupaya untuk mencari perdamaian. 2). Nilai mengasihi tanpa dibatasi oleh suku, agama, ras dan golongan. Nilai ini diperoleh dari cerita nabi Yunus, kisah orang Samaria yang murah hati, kisah penyembuhan yang Yesus lakukan bagi perempuan Sirofenesia dan hamba seorang perwira di Kapernaum dan terakhir karya penyelamatan yang dilakukan Yesus kepada semua orang tanpa memandang suku bangsa dan golongan. 3). Nilai kerukunan yang menurut mazmur Daud dapat mendatangkan berkat bagi semua orang. 4). Gereja yang dipanggil untuk melayani sesama. Yesus dalam keseharianNya bekerja untuk melayani orang dalam segala aspek kehidupan, karena itu gereja dipanggil menjadi alat untuk terus melayani sesama tanpa memandang muka dan inilah nilai pelayanan harus dilakukan oleh Gereja.

Abstract

Alasan memilih topik moderasi beragama, karena minimnya penghargaam agama tertentu terhadap yang lainnya. Kurangnya Kerjasama antar umat beragama dalam berinteraksi. Moderasi beragama penting untuk menciptakan harmoni dan kerukunan antara penganut agama yang berbeda. Dalam konteks masyarakat yang multikultural dan multireligi, moderasi beragama membantu mengurangi konflik, ketegangan, dan diskriminasi yang mungkin timbul. Metode yang dipakai adalah ceramah, tanya jawab dan tindak lanjut. Moderasi beragama mendorong pemahaman agama yang holistik dan seimbang. Ini melibatkan penekanan pada nilai-nilai universal seperti kasih sayang, keadilan, dan perdamaian, sambil menghindari penafsiran yang sempit atau ekstremistik.

Abstract

The aim of community service activities is related to explaining the duties and functions of teachers. Strengthening the roles and responsibilities of teachers serving children and adolescents is a crucial action in ensuring the continuity of their education and optimal development. Teachers are still hampered by a lack of tools and understanding of teaching creativity. Methods for implementing services, discussing and practicing. Interact with children to convey the goals and themes in storytelling activities. From the results of community service activities, it can be concluded that generally they are able to implement pop up books with puppet shows on stage. The teacher reveals about story development. The teacher emphasizes communication strategies that can affect children's emotions.

Abstract

Character education has a higher meaning than moral education because character education is not just about right or wrong but how to do it in daily life. PAK teachers have a big role in this matter. However, at SD Inpres Oelnunu there are still some children who do not have good character as expected, that is why research was conducted using qualitative methods to find out the role of teachers in shaping the character of students at SD Inpres Oelnunu. The results of the research show that the role of PAK teachers in building student character has been carried out from five aspects of assessment, namely religious character, nationalist character, integrity value, independent character, integrity character and mutual cooperation character. Indeed, there are still a small number of children who do not fully possess this character. However, according to the PAK teacher, he continues to play his role so that in the end he gets better results, namely students have good character from every aspect. AbstrakPendidikan karakter memiliki makna yang lebih tinggi dari pendidikan moral karena pendidikan karakter bukan hanya tentang benar atau salah tetapi bagaimana melakukannya dalam hidup kesehariannya. Guru PAK memiliki peran yang besar dalam hal tersebut. Namun Pada SD Inpres Oelnunu masih ada beberapa anak yang belum berkarakter baik seperti yang diharapakan, itulah sebabnya penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran guru dalam membentuk karakter siswa pada SD Inpres Oelnunu. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa peran guru PAK dalam membangun karakter siswa sudah dilakukan dari lima aspek penilaian yaitu karakter religius, karakter nasionalis nilai integritas karakter mandiri, karakter integritas dan karakter gotong royong. Memang masih ada sebagian kecil anak yang belum sepenuhnya memimiliki karakter tersebut. Namun menurut guru PAK bahwa ia terus memainkan perannya sehingga pada akhirnya mendapatkan hasil yang lebih baik yaitu siswa memiliki karakter yang baik dari setiap aspek.

Abstract

Abstract: Academic achievement is often the main goal of a learning activity. SCL is one of the approaches that helps students get a better learning performance. Thus the goal to be achieved in this study is to analyze and find out how affective the SCL method is on students’ academic achievements. The experiment was done with a quantitative approach. Data collection was done through tests namely pre-test and post-test. In this study, in order to reach the objectives, it was tested through prerequisite analysis and hypothesis exams.  The result obtained were that the average score of the experimental class for the pre-test was 75.96 and 94.71 for the post-test, resulting in an increase of 18.75. which means it can be concluded there is a significant increase in students’ academic scores in the experimental class by applying the SCL approach to Christian Religion in Year 5 of Inpres Naimata Primary School.
