Abstract

This study reveals that the theology of harmony based on Psalm 133 is part of a change in the local wisdom values ​​of the Dalihan Na Tolu philosophy. The purpose of writing this article is to explore the values ​​contained in the Dalihan Na Tolu philosophy as the local wisdom of the Batak Community in an effort to maintain mutualistic, symbiotic and transformative interfaith and fraternal relations in the midst of plural society in North Tapanuli. The research method used is qualitative with an appreciative inquiry approach towards the internalization of Dalihan Na Tolu values ​​that have been implemented by the community in daily life interactions. The results of this research are that the implementation of these philosophical values ​​has been realized in the practice of kinship, equality, balance and tolerance which results in harmonious interactions between religious communities. That is why this study is very important to promote the values ​​contained in Dalihan Na Tolu as social glue in an effort to maintain brotherhood and live out the theology of harmony in the context of religious and cultural pluralism.

Abstract

The goal of this article is to demonstrate the significance of pastors and presbyters working together to lead the church. This is due to a lack of them having to create healthy relationships and support one another. The research method used was qualitative. According to the findings of the study, pastors and presbyters have a role as pastors who care for congregation members. They must maintain relationships with the congregation, answer questions, offer support, and shepherd the congregation in their spiritual journey. The pastor is responsible for the worship service, preaching God's Word, and leading the congregation in prayer. Meanwhile, the presbyter has responsibility for handling church funds, creating church policies, and helping make key decisions. Pastors and presbyters collaborate to guide the church in carrying out its spiritual and administrative missions. They must have a positive working connection, support one another, and understand one another's roles. This contributes to the formation of a healthy and successful church in ministry.

Abstract

Abstract: This article examines shalom as the teleological foundation of Christian religious education. Through a qualitative literature review, this study argues that authentic Christian education must be oriented toward shalom—a holistic vision encompassing peace, justice, ecological integrity, and human flourishing. The discussion begins by tracing the biblical-theological roots of shalom in the Old Testament tradition and its pedagogical implications. It then explores the holistic dimension of Christian education, integrating faith, knowledge, and life praxis. Furthermore, this article analyses ecological responsibility as an essential content of Christian education in the era of environmental crisis. Finally, justice is discussed as the practical orientation of Christian education in the Indonesian context. This study concludes that a shalom-oriented Christian education offers a transformative theological framework that is holistic, ecological, and justice-bearing for contemporary society. Abstrak: Artikel ini mengkaji konsep shalom sebagai fondasi teleologis Pendidikan Agama Kristen. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif-kepustakaan, studi ini berargumen bahwa pendidikan Kristen yang autentik harus berorientasi pada shalom—sebuah visi holistis yang mencakup kedamaian, keadilan, keutuhan ekologis, dan kesejahteraan manusia. Pembahasan dimulai dengan menelusuri akar teologis-biblis konsep shalom dalam tradisi Perjanjian Lama dan implikasi pedagogisnya. Selanjutnya dieksplorasi dimensi holistis pendidikan Kristen yang mengintegrasikan iman, pengetahuan, dan praksis kehidupan. Artikel ini juga menganalisis tanggung jawab ekologis sebagai muatan esensial pendidikan Kristen di era krisis lingkungan. Terakhir, keadilan dibahas sebagai orientasi praksis pendidikan Kristen dalam konteks Indonesia. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendidikan Kristen berorientasi shalom menawarkan kerangka teologis transformatif yang holistis, ekologis, dan berkeadilan bagi masyarakat kontemporer

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to find out how the Evangelical Christian Church in Timor, especially the Congregations in Territory 2 Klasis Kupang Tengah, takes sides with persons with disabilities. The method used in this research is a qualitative method by interviewing six people with disabilities and triangulation of sources to a number of pastors who have members of the congregation with disabilities. From the results of the research, it was found that the church has not taken sides with members of the congregation with special needs or disabilities because spiritual services in terms of visiting and praying for people with disabilities have not been carried out properly, the Church has never provided special assistance for people with disabilities. Skills training or working capital assistance has not been carried out, there is no access to worship, namely providing access to the church building for wheelchair users. Persons with disabilities have not been involved in court service programs and RAPBJ and persons with disabilities have not been given space to be involved in categorical and functional services.

Abstract

Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah untuk mencari tahu apa tugas dan fungsi jabatan pengajar di dalam Gereja Masehi Injili di Timor (GMIT). Untuk mendapatkan jawaban dari tujuan di atas maka metode yang dipakai adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka. Hasilnya adalah ada 4 tugas dan fungsi dari jabatan pengajar yang tertuang dalam Tata Gereja GMIT tahun 2010 yang dijabarkan lebih detail dalam Ketetapan Sinode GMIT No 5/TAP/SIN-GMIT/XXXII/2011 mengenai Peraturan Pokok tentang Jabatan dan Kekaryawan Gereja Masehi Injili Di Timor. Pasal 36 dari peraturan pokok di atas mengatakan bahwa tugas dan fungsi jabatan pengajar ada 4 yaitu : 1). Melaksanakan kegiatan pengajaran dalam jemaat; 2) Mengorganisir pelayanan pengajaran dalam jemaat; 3). Melaksanakan pendidikan agama Kristen bagi anggota sidi dan kelompok kategorial fungsional; 4). Bersama pendeta mempersiapkan bahan-bahan pengajaran bagi anggota jemaat, terutama untuk Pelayanan Anak dan Remaja (PAR) dan ketekisasi. Untuk memperjelas tugas dan fungsi tersebut maka penulis mendiskusikannya dengan berbagai pendapat dari sejumlah literatur sehingga memberikan pemahaman yang lebih jelas dari tugas dan fungsi jabatan pengajar dalam GMIT
