Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran multimedia terhadap minat dan hasil belajar Matematika siswa kelas X SMK Al-Azhar Batam. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian quasi-experimental dengan non-equivalent post-trial control design only. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMK Al-Azhar Batam. Objek penelitian ini adalah siswa dari kelas X RPL dengan 17 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan dari kelas X AKT dengan 17 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan alat kuesioner dengan 20 item, dan tes berjumlah 3 item yang sudah diperiksa validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji hipotesis meliputi uji one sampel t-test dan independen sampel t-test. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, terlihat adanya pengaruh yang signifikan dari media pembelajaran multimedia terhadap minat dan hasil belajar siswa pada matematika. Hal ini didasarkan pada perhitungan uji t-test  minat matematika, memperoleh nilai Sig . (2tailed) (0,002)  (0,05) berdasarkan kriteria pengambilan keputusan, maka H0 dihilangkan dan Ha diterima. Sedangkan berdasarkan perhitungan uji-t untuk hasil belajar matematika, nilai Sig. (2tailed) (0,000)  (0,05) berdasarkan kriteria keputusan, maka H0 di tolak dan Ha diterima.Kata kunci: Media Pembelajaran, Multimedia, Minat Belajar Matematika, Hasil Belajar Matematika                                                                                                                                          Abstract. This study aims to determine the impact of the use of multimedia-based learning media toward the interest and learning result of mathematics in class X SMK Al-Azhar Batam. This type of study is a quasi-experimental study with the nonequivalent posttest only control design. The population in this study were all students of SMK Al-Azhar Batam. The subjects in this study were students of class X RPL totaling 17 students as the experimental class and class X AKT totaling 17 students as the control class. The sampling technique was carried out by purposive sampling technique. Data was obtained with a questionnaire instrument with 20 statement items and a test of 3 descriptions items which has been tested for its validity and realibility (. The data analysis techniques used were normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis test which included one sample t-test and independent sample t-Test. Based on the results of data analysis shows that there is a significant influence of multimedia-based learning media on students' interest and learning result in mathematics. This is based on the calculation of the t-Test for interest in learning mathematics, the value of Sig. (2-tailed)(0,002)(0,05) based on the decision-making criteria, then H0 is rejected and Ha accepted. Meanwhile, based on the calculation of the t-test for mathematics learning result, the value of Sig. Abstract

Mathematics is an important subject whose applications were widely used in life. However, many students have difficulty in learning mathematics, including elementary school students. This study aimed to examine the depth of Jean Piaget's cognitive development and Lev Vygotsky's sociocultural theory and their implication for mathematics learning at elementary school age. This study used a qualitative approach with the literature study method. Sources of data in the form of books, journals, and the results of previous research related to research problems. Data collection in this study was carried out using online searches. Data analysis was done by content analysis. The results of this study indicate that according to Piaget's theory of cognitive development, the thinking stage of students in elementary schools was generally in the concrete operational stage. So that the recommended mathematics learning was in the form of student-centered active learning such as discovery learning and contextual learning methods. Meanwhile, based on Vygotsky's sociocultural theory, he recommends cooperative and collaborative mathematics learning as well as optimizing the existence of scaffolding and social interaction in learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh belum tersedianya bahan ajar yang memadai dan menunjang kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis mahasiswa dalam mata kuliah trigonometri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan modul trigonometri berbasis contextual teaching and learning (CTL) yang berkualitas dilihat dari segi kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan dalam hal kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian pengembangan dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. Adapun subjek penelitian yaitu mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Riau Kepulauan. Data diperoleh dari instrumen yang berupa angket standar penilaian bahan ajar dari BSNP untuk mengukur kevalidan, angket respons mahasiswa untuk mengukur kepraktisan, dan soal tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis untuk mengukur keefektifan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh hasil kualitas modul dilihat dari aspek kevalidan termasuk dalam klasifikasi sangat valid dengan persentase pencapaian penilaian ahli materi sebesar 87,75 % dan persentase pencapaian penilaian ahli media 96,25%.  Dilihat dari aspek kepraktisan, modul yang dikembangkan dinyatakan praktis dengan persentase pencapaian angket respon mahasiswa sebesar 85,75 % dengan kategori sangat baik.  Sedangkan dari aspek keefektifan, modul tersebut dinyatakan belum cukup efektif dilihat dari hasil tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis yang menunjukkan perolehan skor rata-rata 68,25 dengan ketuntasan hasil belajar sebesar 50 %.

Abstract

Menulis PTK merupakan suatu pengembangan kompetensi profesional bagi guru untuk melakukan inovasi pembelajaran sekaligus menjadi salah satu persyaratan peningkatan karier guru. Namun, masih banyak guru belum mampu menulis laporan PTK karena keterbatasan pengetahuan serta kurangnya motivasi dalam hal ini. Tujuan program pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah menambah pengetahuan tentang penulisan laporan PTK untuk mendukung kompetensi profesional dan motivasi guru dalam menulis PTK. Sasaran peserta yaitu para guru di SMAN 1 Salaman dan SMPN 2 Muntilan yang berjumlah 72 orang. Kegiatan pengabdian terdiri dari tiga tahap: persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Sementara metode pelaksanaan yaitu pelatihan yang mencakup sesi ceramah, tanya jawab, dan diskusi. Untuk melihat ketercapaian tujuan kegiatan digunakan angket respons yang mengukur kebermanfaatan kegiatan dalam menambah pengetahuan penulisan laporan PTK, motivasi, dan keterlaksanaan. Analisis dilakukan dengan menghitung persentase peserta yang memberikan respons positif terhadap pernyataan angket. Hasil dari program ini yaitu menambah pengetahuan guru mengenai penulisan laporan PTK yang meliputi perumusan masalah, penyusunan kajian teori, metode penelitian, hasil dan pembahasan hingga kesimpulan. Selain itu, pelatihan ini mampu membangkitkan motivasi para guru untuk menulis PTK, tidak hanya untuk tujuan karier, tetapi juga untuk pengembangan kompetensi profesional.

Abstract

Mathematical proof is a crucial component in studying mathematics, especially at advanced levels. Previous research has reported that many students face difficulties in solving mathematical proof problems, including in rings theory course. This study aims to determine the level of students' mathematical proof abilities in ring theory course and to compare these abilities based on their school backgrounds. This research employs a quantitative descriptive approach followed by comparative analysis. The subjects were 30 students from the mathematics education program taking rings theory course at Tidar University. The research instruments include tests, questionnaire, and interviews guidelines. Data analysis of the test results was conducted using descriptive statistic and one-way ANOVA followed by Tukey HSD post hoc tests. The research findings indicate that students' overall mathematical proof abilities fall into the low category, with an average score of 41.67 (on a scale of 100). From these results, 84% of the respondents are in the low category, 13% in the medium category, and 3% in the high category. Furthermore, when considering the backgrounds of secondary schools MA, SMK, and SMA, the average scores for mathematical proof abilities in all three groups are in the low category. The one-way ANOVA and Tukey HSD post hoc tests reveal a significant difference in mathematical proof abilities between the MA and SMA groups, while there was no significant difference between the MA and SMK groups or the SMK and SMA groups

Abstract

Rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kreatif menjadi permasalahan yang penting dalam pendidikan saat ini. Kemampuan berpikir kreatif merupakan keterampilan inti yang diperlukan untuk menghadapi tantangan kompleks dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, terutama dalam menghadapi perkembangan teknologi dan ekonomi yang cepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi permasalahan rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa dengan melihat pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran window shopping berbasis pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini mencakup seluruh siswa kelas X MAN 1 Magelang sedangkan sampel penelitiannya yaitu kelas X-3 sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelas X-15 sebagai kelompok kontrol. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji independent sample t-test dan uji Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan pada penggunaan model window shopping bebasis pembelajaran berdiferensiasi terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa. Kata Kunci: Window shopping, pembelajaran berdiferensiasi, matematika, siswa, berpikir kreatif.

Abstract

Mathematics Education Undergraduate Study Program students as prospective teachers need to be prepared with good competencies so that they are ready to carry out the Olympic preparation program when they are already in the profession as teachers. Therefore, research will be carried out that aims to analyze the difficulties of prospective mathematics teacher students in solving Olympiad questions, which are the basis for designing Olympiad learning in higher education. This research was carried out with students from the VII-semester Mathematics Education Study Program at a university in Magelang using a qualitative approach. Data obtained through written assessments and interviews were then analyzed to identify difficulties in understanding concepts, difficulties in applying principles, and difficulties in solving verbal problems experienced by the subjects. The results of the data analysis show that these three types of difficulties were found in the steps for solving olympiad questions in algebra.  Keywords: difficulty analysis, prospective mathematics teacher, mathematics olympiad

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe students' mathematical reasoning abilities in solving three-dimensional material problems. The measured mathematical reasoning ability indicators include presenting mathematical statements in written and pictured (I1), submitting conjectures (I2), manipulating mathematics (I3), compiling evidence, giving reasons for the truth of the solution (I4), and making conclusions (I5). This research was a descriptive qualitative research with the subject of research were the students of class XII IPS 2 of SMA Negeri 5 Batam, which number 43 students. Data collection techniques using tests and interviews. The data collected was analyzed by procedures according to Miles and Huberman which included data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. Based on the analysis results, there were 32.5% of the subjects studied had a high mathematical reasoning ability by obtaining an average of 78.11 which needs to be increased again to I5 because it obtained an average with a low category of 47.43%. For moderately capable students there are 27.5% of the subjects studied by obtaining an average of 63.63 but for an average score of  I4 and I5 is 57.77% still needs to be improved and for students with low ability there is 40% from the subjects studied by obtaining an average of 42.08 which needs to be increased again for all indicators of mathematical reasoning ability.

Abstract

Salah satu syarat pengembangan karier guru adalah menulis karya ilmiah. Faktanya syarat ini justru menjadi penghambat bagi guru untuk naik pangkat dikarenakan kurangnya kemampuan dan minat menulis di kalangan guru. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang cara menulis dan mempublikasikan artikel ilmiah pada jurnal bereputasi guna menunjang karier guru. Khalayak sasaran kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu para guru di SMA Negeri 1 Salaman yang sebagiannya mengalami kendala kenaikan pangkat karena kurangnya syarat publikasi artikel ilmiah. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan melalui tiga tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Metode kegiatan pengabdian berupa pelatihan dengan metode ceramah, tanya jawab, dan diskusi. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian berupa pelatihan ini didukung oleh beberapa faktor yang memberikan banyak kontribusi atas keberhasilan kegiatan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini secara keseluruhan berjalan dengan baik. Hasil kegiatan berupa peningkatan pemahaman guru mengenai cara menulis artikel ilmiah yang baik, cara menentukan jurnal ilmiah yang sesuai, dan tata cara pengiriman artikel pada online journal system. Kegiatan pelatihan juga membangkitkan motivasi guru dalam menulis artikel ilmiah tidak hanya untuk pengembangan karier namun juga pengembangan diri. Capaian ini terlihat dari antusiasme guru saat sesi diskusi dan hasil refleksi di akhir kegiatan bersama guru dan kepala sekolah yang disampaikan secara lisan.

Abstract

This study was inspired by the class X SMA Hidayatullah Batam's poor mathematics learning outcomes, one of which was brought on by teaching strategies that discouraged student participation in the learning process. The purpose of this study was to compare the Team Assisted Individualization learning model assisted by mathematics domino (domat) visualizer with conventinal learning models in terms of the mathematics learning results for class X students at SMA Hidayatullah Batam. This kind of research utilized a posttest-only control group design and was quasi-experimental in nature. Up to 53 pupils from class X at SMA Hidayatullah made up the research population. The experimental class, X MIPA PA (15 students), and the control class, X MIPA PI (15 students), were sampled via purposive sampling. The research instrument was in the form of essay questions where all items were valid and reliable (reliability coefficient 0.927 in the high category). Using one sample t-test and independent sample t-tests the data were analyzed. The results showed: (1) The implementation of the domat-assisted TAI learning model was effective in terms of mathematics learning outcomes with a t-value (4.231) t-table (2.144); (2) the conventional model is ineffective with a t-value (-0.728) ≤ t-table (2.144); and (3) there were differences between the domat-assisted TAI learning model and the conventional model in terms of the outcomes of mathematics learning with a t-value (3.082) t-table (2.048). On the basis of the study's findings, the domat-assisted TAI learning approach is advised as an alternative to learning mathematics. It can help students take an active part in the learning process and improve their learning outcomes.
