Abstract

This study investigates the influence of electronic wallet usage, lifestyle, and financial literacy on consumptive behavior among Generation Z workers in DKI Jakarta. With a population comprising about one-third of DKI Jakarta's total population, Generation Z is notably technologically adept, often referred to as the Internet or Digital Generation. Employing a quantitative approach, the research utilizes Partial Least Square Structure Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) and collects data from 407 respondents through an online questionnaire. Findings reveal a positive and significant association between electronic wallet usage and consumptive behavior, as well as lifestyle and consumptive behavior. However, financial literacy exhibits an insignificant and negative impact on consumptive behavior. These insights contribute to understanding the financial behavior of Generation Z workers and may aid in fostering more prudent financial management practices among this demographic.

Abstract

Research aims: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of risk management at Pelindo post-merger and measure its risk management maturity level. Moreover, the study intends to offer relevant recommendations for the company in developing risk management strategies and implementation. Design/Methodology/Approach: This study adopts a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study strategy, wherein the researcher analyzes an organization as the unit of analysis in a non-contrived setting, reflecting a natural environment without manipulation. Data collection techniques include interviews and document analysis, while data analysis follows the Miles and Huberman model with four main components: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Research findings: The study's findings indicate that the risk management maturity level at Pelindo post-merger is at the good practice phase, scoring 2.94 from the dimension and performance aspects assessment. Recommendations for improvement include enhancing risk culture, improving the effectiveness of risk management functions, and aligning risk strategy with the ERM transformation plan to increase the effectiveness and compliance of risk management. Theoretical Contribution/Originality: This research makes a theoretical contribution by assessing the level of risk management maturity in the context of mergers among state-owned enterprises (SOEs) in Indonesia's maritime industry. It uses measurement methods tailored to regulations from the Ministry of SOEs, providing a reference for other companies seeking to develop effective risk management strategies. Practitioners/Policy Implications: This research suggests that organizations should strengthen risk culture responsibilities in job descriptions at all levels, as well as adopt technology and automation for real-time risk monitoring to enhance risk management effectiveness and ensure alignment with corporate strategy. Research Limitations/Implications: The limitations of this study primarily stem from restricted access to internal and sensitive data, which constrains the depth of analysis and hampers comparison with industry best practices.

Abstract

The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector has an important role in driving the country's economic development. In order for MSMEs to remain competitive with the growth of digital technology, they must be able to adapt to digitalization. Utilizing an e-commerce platform can provide information about which products are selling best and which products are not selling well. This data can be used to make decisions about inventory management, marketing, and more. Only 13% of MSMEs that utilize technology use e-commerce. The adoption of digital e-commerce technology among MSMEs in Jakarta is still uneven. This research aims to determine the influence of digital literacy and relative benefits on the adoption of digital e-commerce technology for MSMEs in Jakarta with digital training and mentoring as mediating variables. This research method is causal quantitative by collecting data using an online questionnaire to 399 respondents. The analysis technique used in this research is Sem with the help of the Smart-PLS program. The research results show that digital literacy and relative benefits influence digital training and mentoring, but not the adoption of e-commerce platform technology. Meanwhile, digital training and mentoring influences the adoption of e-commerce platform technology. The mediation results show that digital training and mentoring play a full mediating role in the relationship between digital literacy and the relative benefits of adopting e-commerce platform technology.

Abstract

The mobile banking application of PT. XYZ offers two main services, which are the core banking functions: collecting funds from the public and disbursing funds to the public. However, a decline in the number of users of the XYZ mobile banking app has been observed in both Monthly Active Users and Monthly Transacting Users. The study involves respondents who represent the target market of Bank XYZ, such as active users and users who make transactions on the XYZ mobile banking application. Thus, the objective of this research is to evaluate the IT functional-level strategy of PT. XYZ's mobile banking application concerning continuance intention. Further, the study aims to explain the relationships between the variables of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions from the UTAUT model, as well as the variable of unfavorable attitude toward cash payment (UATC), in relation to satisfaction and continuance intention, and the interaction between these variables. Employing a quantitative research method, the sampling technique was non-probability sampling, specifically purposive sampling, as the population was already sufficiently specific to mobile banking users of PT. XYZ, with 310 respondents who are users of PT. XYZ's mobile banking application. Data analysis was performed using CB-SEM with a Maximum Likelihood approach. The research findings indicate that performance expectancy has the most significant influence on continuance intention. The results also show that satisfaction, as an intervening variable, strengthens the significant effect of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and social influence. Based on the findings, it is recommended to focus on performance expectancy, in line with the results of the descriptive analysis, which suggest that it is an area requiring urgent and critical evaluation. Enhancing performance expectancy can help sustain continuance intention among Monthly Active Users and Monthly Transacting Users of the XYZ mobile banking application.
