Abstract

The job of being a fisherman is very risky, many factors that become the threat of work lurking a fisherman. Traditional fishermen are not facilitated with communication equipment that can support the safety of fishermen. So when something happens that can harm the fishermen, it can not be handled immediately. In this research developed a wireless communication system based on LoRa to be able to monitor fishermen working at sea by online,consisting of node devices attached to boats and  gateways that function to forward data from  the node device  to the web server using the MQTTprotocol, so that boat data can be monitored through  the  thingsboard dashboard. Data monitored include the location of fishing boats ( longitude  and  latitude coordinates ),the slope of the fishing boat (degree of roll and pitch) and also early warning. Testing the reliability of LoRa communication in marine communication scenarios is carried out by testing the distance of data transmission, data length and data delivery speed setting / air data rate with Line of Sight  (LOS) condition at Sea directly. From the results of data transmission reliability testing using the communication module LoRa E32 915T20D is able to reach the furthest distance up to 2.4 Km with the data send speed setting at 0.3 kbps  with an average delivery time delay  / time on air that tends to increase with the increase in the length of data sent.

Abstract

Feeding is one of the important thing in  the case of fish cultivation and harvesting the high population mobility in Indonesian still cannot be matched by the availability of production, nowadays, in general feeding is still depending  on direct human help, so that people now just found a new technique to feed fish,  runs and operates  the tools automatically regarding to time and  schedule that is provided or based on operation time of period they wanted and how much they want to feed. With the technology advancement, i would try to create innovating feeding machine with the mechanic system, make the feeding can be programmed and the duration of feeding can be controlled. By way of vertical valve modeling that works when getting an order from arduino UNO, so that once the valve opening with opening anggle 0o to 45o,  0o to 90o, 0o to 180o only requires a short duration making the required power more efficient.Keyword : Arduino Uno,  Feeding,   Mechanic, Valve

Abstract

Motor DC merupakan salah satu jenis aktuator yang cukup banyak digunakan dalam bidang industri, misalnya industri pembuatan kue, yang menggunakan motor DC pada mesin pencampuran bahan kue, dalam proses pencampuran bahan kue harus disesuaikan antara kecepatan dengan beban bahan, dikarenakan jika beban bahan kue lebih berat akan mempengaruhi laju kecepatan mesin pencampur. Sehingga, permasalahan yang harus diselesaikan yaitu bagaimana mengendalikan kecepatan motor DC ketika ada beban bervareatif. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu dengan mengendalikan kecepatan motor DC menggunakan sistem kendali kecepatan Proportional Integral Derivatif (PID) controller. Proportional Integral Derivatif (PID) merupakan kontrol yang memanfaatkan feedback dari keluaran yang mengandung sinyal kesalahan atau selisih dari nilai yang diharapkan. Penentuan parameter kontroler PID menggunakan metode tunning Zeigler-Nichols karena menggunakan rumus-rumus sederhana dan proses trial and error hanya pada pencarian parameter Kp. Hasil penentuan parameter kontroler PID diperoleh nilai Kp = 1,8, Ki=0,4, dan Kd=2,025. Dari nilai parameter Kp, Ki, dan Kd tersebut sistem kontroler PID berjalan dengan kecepatan diset 600 rpm dan menghasilkan nilai Rise Time = 1,8 detik, Settling Time = 13 detik, Overshoot sebesar 3,7% dan error steady state sebesar 1 rpm, dan pada saat sistem berjalan diberi beban kecepatan motor DC menurun dan kembali pada setpointnya dengan waktu 19 detik. Kata Kunci: Motor DC, Kontroler PID, Zeigler-Nichols.

Abstract

Officers' readiness to prevent the spread of COVID-19 through document exchange is a problem in the community. This article discusses how the social engineering of COVID-19 cluster officers and Salawu Health Center officers in Tasikmalaya Regency in receiving and implementing document sterilization cabinet technology to suppress the transmission of the COVID-19 virus through document exchange. The use of ozone and UVC as sterilization media is beneficial but can negatively impact humans in the long term. Therefore education is needed for partners to avoid these negative impacts. This service activity method is partner situation analysis, pre-test, partner education, post-test, and conclusion. The result of this service is that partners have received document sterilization cabinets and UVC as room sterilizers. The results of measuring partner knowledge before and after participating in webinar activities using pre-test and post-test instruments, showed an increase in knowledge, skills and awareness by partners regarding the use of UVC and Ozone on average 83% from the initial condition of not understanding to understanding and skill.    Keywords: covid-19; ozone; uvc; health community center  Abstrak: Kesiapan petugas dalam mencegah penyebaran COVID-19 melalui pertukaran dokumen menjadi masalah di masyarakat. Artikel ini membahas tentang bagaimana rekayasa sosial pada petugas Gugus COVID-19  dan petugas Puskesmas Salawu di Kabupaten Tasikmalaya dalam penerima dan implementasi teknologi lemari sterilisasi dokumen guna menekan penularan virus COVID-19 melalui pertukaran dokumen. Penggunaan ozon dan UVC sebagai media sterilisasi sangat efektif, tetapi dapat menghasilkan dampak negatif dalam jangka Panjang, oleh karena itu diperlukan edukasi kepada mitra agar terhindar dari dampak negatif tersebut. Metode pada kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah analisis situasi mitra, Pre-test, edukasi mitra, post-test dan kesimpulan. Hasil dari pelaksanaan pengabdian ini adalah mitra telah menerima lemari sterilisasi dokumen dan UVC sebagai sterilisasi ruangan. Hasil pengukuran terhadap pengetahuan mitra sebelum dan setelah mengikuti kegiatan webinar menggunakan instrumen pre-test dan post-test, menunjukkan terjadinya peningkatan pengetahuan, keterampilan dan kewaspadaan oleh mitra terkait penggunaan UVC dan Ozon rata-rata 83% dari kondisi awal tidak memahami menjadi paham dan terampil.Kata kunci: covid-19; ozone; uvc; puskesmas

Abstract

Air is the most basic need for the survival of living things, especially humans. Briquetting plants are one of the industries that produce airborne particles harmful to human health and the surrounding environment. These particles can cause respiratory problems and serious illnesses if not properly detected and controlled. Therefore, an air particle detection system is indispensable for monitoring air quality in the factory environment. PT Arkelindo Bara Sejahtera, as a company engaged in the manufacture of briquettes, has a negative impact on the environment, especially air pollution due to the carbonization process that produces smoke and dust. The implementation of this community service activity aims to improve air quality in the briquette industry environment through the implementation of an air particle detection system. This activity includes socialization about the dangers of air particles, training on the use of detection devices, and filling out questionnaires to evaluate participants' understanding. The results of this activity show that the air quality in the factory environment is still poor with high Air Quality Index (AQI) values, mainly caused by the carbonization process. However, this activity succeeded in raising the awareness of the factory staff on the importance of air quality monitoring and providing concrete recommendations to reduce particle emissions, including the use of cleaner fuels and improving the efficiency of the carbonization process. Thus, it is hoped that this activity can help prevent more severe air pollution in the future and protect the health of the surrounding community.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively evaluate the potential, technical, and economic feasibility of implementing a hybrid solar-wind power generation system as a sustainable energy solution to support the operation of Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (EVCS) in Pangandaran Regency, Indonesia. Through simulations using HOMER Energy software, this research analyzes the renewable energy resource potential in the region, with an average solar radiation of 5.03 kWh/m² and an annual wind speed of 5.03 m/s. The simulation results show that the optimal system configuration consists of 335 solar panels (113.9 kWp) and 6 wind turbines (9 kW), capable of generating 177,791 kWh of annual electricity, which is sufficient to meet the energy needs of the EVCS with a reasonable margin. The economic analysis conducted indicates that although there is a significant initial investment cost, the hybrid system has a Net Present Cost (NPC) of IDR 5,825,862,785 with a Cost of Energy (COE) of IDR 2,245/kWh, demonstrating that this investment offers long-term economic benefits. Furthermore, the sensitivity study performed shows that the system is relatively robust to changes in environmental conditions and other system parameters. The results of this research provide strong evidence that the hybrid solar-wind power generation system is technically, economically, and environmentally viable for supporting the development of electric vehicle charging infrastructure in areas with high renewable resource potential, such as Pangandaran. The implementation of this system is expected to reduce dependence on fossil fuels, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and promote the transition towards clean and sustainable energy in Indonesia

Abstract

Potensi energi yang ada di kawasan pesisir selatan Jawa Barat sendiri untuk radiasi matahari sebesar 5.05 kWh/m². Potensi energi angin yang ada di pesisir selatan kecepatan angin berkisar 5-8 m/s. PT. MOD VANAME INDONESIA merupakan Tambak Udang terbesar di Kecamatan Cikalong Kabupaten Tasikmalaya. PT. MOD VANAME INDONESIA memiliki luas lahan sekitar 18 hektar yang terbagi menjadi 8 blok, dimana setiap blok memiliki 8 kolam tambak udang. Akan tetapi pada saat ini yang tersedia hanya 4 blok. Berdasarkan hasil dari simulasi HOMER, untuk perencanaan sistem pembangkit listrik hybrid on grid di pantai selatan Tasikmalaya Kecamatan Cikalong tepatnya di PT. MOD VANAME INDONESIA memiliki potensi energi yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk sumber energi listrik EBT yang berasal dari PLTS dan PLTB yang terhubung jaringan PLN dengan total produksi 1.558,246 kWh/hari dengan pemasok terbesarnya ada di pembangkit listrik tenaga surya sebesar 1.436 kWh/hari, dan yang terendahnya dari pembangkit listrik tenaga bayu/angin sebesar 122,246 kWh/hari. Serta dampak lingkungan yang lebih rendah. Maka perancangan atau realisasi dari sistem pembangkit listrik hybrid on grid di Pesisir Pantai layak untuk dipertimbangkan. Dengan menggunakan model atau topologi Pembangkit listrik sistem hybrid yang menggabungkan dua pembangkit listrik yang terintegrasi dengan PLN yaitu PLTS dan PLTB, dengan perangkat pendukung lainnya seperti Konverter dan Baterai. Hasil perhitungan densitas energi pada penelitian kali ini menyimpulkan bahwasannya dari luas setiap area menghasilkan densitas sebesar 179.52 W/m2 untuk luas setiap area adalah 4000 m2 dari densitas yang dihasilakn itu menunjukan bahwasannya terindikasi adanya penurunan dari konversi energi sebesar 10.24% dari data yang tertera di datasheet.

Abstract

Nowadays, the e-commerce industry in Indonesia is growing substantially and expanding annually. This is one of the revolutions that has affected various aspects of life, including animal husbandry. In Indonesia, buying and selling livestock has become routine; however, it is still conducted conventionally. Therefore, a system is required to facilitate online purchasing and selling transactions; thus, farmers can expand their enterprises. This study aimed to develop a mobile application for the online purchase and sale of livestock. The Caribi Mobile Application is built with a system that can provide consumers with accurate information by recording the tracks of each animal that will be sold. Each animal’s age, weight, and recent pictures are included. Tag RFID-based Internet of Things (IoT) system is used in searching for mobile applications. The RFID Tag System is used to carry out two functions at once, namely assistance and security. This application is designed to integrate livestock data from the internet and save it in a database. This study’s findings demonstrate that the system can read the data related to each farm animal. Additionally, the system has created data on the weights of each animal, which anyone with access to the Caribi Mobile Application can view.

Abstract

The emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) significantly contribute to the rise in global temperatures and the exacerbation of climate change. Various initiatives have been undertaken to reduce CO2 emissions, notably through the adoption of carbon capture technologies. These technologies include Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU), Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), and the integrated approach of Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS). Our study aims to elucidate the operational principles of CCU, highlight the benefits of carbon capture, and provide recent updates on the application of CCU and CCS in daily contexts. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive methodology through a literature review, we examine the primary sources related to CCU and CCS from various databases such as Scopus, Springer, Taylor & Francis, and Google Scholar, covering the period from 2014 to 2024. As a novelty, our review covers physical techniques like absorption, gas or membrane separation, and pressure-temperature manipulation, alongside chemical methods such as the adsorption of amine compounds. Furthermore, biological techniques, including fixation, are also utilized. The operational framework of carbon capture technology is structured around three main processes: pre-combustion, post-combustion, and oxy-combustion. Notably, carbon capture technology incorporates the cultivation of microalgae as a fixation strategy, which promotes not only environmental sustainability but also shows significant promise for future applications. This method effectively sequesters large quantities of CO2 while requiring minimal nutritional resources. The advantages of utilizing microalgae include enhanced efficiency in CO2 fixation compared to terrestrial plants, reduced contamination, and a relatively simple operational structure. It is evident that the adoption of carbon capture technology is expected to increase in the coming years, particularly in light of the ongoing challenges posed by climate change. Prospective advancements in carbon capture technology are then discussed based on the review result. Thus, our literature review contributes to promoting the broader implementation of carbon capture technologies.

Abstract

The use of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has become a trend in various areas of life. In the context of security and monitoring, IoT applications can provide innovative solutions to improve monitoring and protection. This community service program aims to apply the IoT concept in a vision-based security system at the At-Taqwa Cijulang Mosque. Through the integration of sensors and vision devices connected to an IoT network, this program proposes a more effective and efficient solution for monitoring mosque security. Motion and presence sensors will be installed to detect suspicious activity and manage the environment within the mosque. The vision-based security system will use cameras connected to an IoT network to monitor and identify people and activities occurring in the mosque area. In addition, a mobile application will be developed to provide real-time monitoring access to mosque administrators and the local community. The results of the service showed increased security in the environment around the mosque as well as increased awareness of security in the community around the At-Taqwa Cijulang Mosque.
