Abstract

Peluang usaha budidaya udang vaname dengan sistem bioflok menjanjikan karena sistem ini mengurangi dampak lingkungan negatif dan biaya operasional. Dengan memanfaatkan teknologi bioflok, para pengusaha udang vaname bisa mengontrol kualitas air dan menjaga kebersihan lingkungan budidaya, sehingga meningkatkan produktivitas udang. Dengan memenuhi standar kualitas dan keamanan pangan yang ketat, nelayan dapat memanfaatkan peluang untuk mengekspor udang vaname ke pasar internasional.  Di samping ekspor, terdapat juga pasar lokal yang besar untuk udang vaname.  Sehingga kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat khususnya pelaku usaha mitra kegiatan tentang bagaimana cara untuk budidaya udang vaname dengan system bioflok.  Metode pendekatan dilakukan yaitu, penyuluhan dan sosialisasi. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini memberikan tambahan informasi dan pengetahuan bagi masyarakat tentang inovasi teknologi dan penggunaan teknologi canggih dalam budidaya udang. Kegiatan pengabdian telah terlaksana dengan lancar, masyarakat sangat antusias mengikuti kegiatan, terbukti dengan partisipasi yang cukup tinggi, hal tersebut terlihat dengan kehadiran peserta secara konsisten dalam mengikuti kegiatan dari awal sampai akhir. Survei dilakukan untuk mengukur efektifitas kegiatan dengan menyebar angket pada saat sebelum dan setelah kegiatan yang memberikan hasil sebesar 100% pengetahuan peserta bertambah, Kegiatan  pengabdian tersebut telah terbukti dapat meningkatkan kapasitas teknis dan pengetahuan dari nelayan dalam melakukan usaha budidaya bioflok skala rumah tangga.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the income of purse seine fishermen based on the size of the vessel at the Sodohoa Fish Auction Port, West Kendari District, Kendari City. This research was conducted from November to December 2020. The method in this study is the fraction per cluster sampling method with a total sample of 10 people using ships above 30GT and 10 people using ships under 30GT. Data obtained through interviews using a questionnaire. The data obtained were analyzed using the formula for total costs, revenues, profits and t-test to compare the income of purse seine fishermen. From the results of the analysis, it is known that the profit of purse seine fishermen who use vessels under 30GT is IDR20,175,778/catch and the profit of purse seine fishermen who use vessels above 30GT is IDR24,125,541/catch. Based on the above analysis, it is known that the level of difference in the income of purse seine fishermen who use vessels above 30GT and below 30GT is IDR3,949,763/catch. Based on the t-test analysis using SPSS, it is known that the significance value is 0.331 and greater than 0.05, meaning Ho is accepted, meaning that there is a difference in profits between purse seine fishermen based on the size at the Sodoha Fish Auction Port, Kendari City.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how much income the fishermen who own the purse seine fishing gear and the profit sharing system get based on the capacity of the ship. This study used a census method with 6 respondents and was carried out in Balimu Village, Lasalimu Selatan District, Buton Regency during the period November 2020. The types of data used were primary data and secondary data. Data were collected using interview techniques, questionnaires, documentation and literature study. The data obtained were analyzed using Revenue analysis (TR = PQ), Cost Analysis (TC = TFC.TVC), Income Analysis (π = TR - TC), and Profit Sharing System Analysis (π = Profit (Rp). The results showed that the highest level was obtained by Mr. Safaria, namely Rp. 500,126,880, while the smallest income was obtained by Mr. Hasanuddin, which was Rp. 128,728,827. The profit sharing system treated by fishermen who owned the purse seine was divided by 50:50, meaning the boat owner. get 50% profit from previous income and 50% for ABK.

Abstract

Female workers play critical roles in fisheries processing plant thus their contribution to household income. However, Covid-19 pandemic may cut thesecontribution due to the declining of fisheries production that reduce the hours of female workers. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of women workers at UD. Sinar Sarina Afaand their contribution on household income before and during Covid-19.This research was conducted at UD. Sinar Sarina Afa is in Watolo Village, Mawasangka District, CentralButon Regency in February – March 2021. The method used in this research was a case study with all female workers at UD. Sinar Sarina Afa as respondents Data were collected through interviews using questionnaires to obtain primary data of respondents, their roles in mini plant and their income. The data obtained were analyzed using the Harvard Analytical Framework method and income contribution formula.The results showed that before and during Covid-19, female had similar roles in crab processing activities including the stripping, sorting, packaging and cooling processes. During pandemic, the contribution of women in the household income changed from 48% before the pandemic to 42%. This study showed that the role of female in household is important in increasing family income.

Abstract

Kappaphycus alvarezii is a seaweed species that has been widely cultivated in Indonesia include in Southeast Sulawesi using long line method. Horizontal net is a promising cultivation method for K. alvarezii to protect the cultured seaweed from ephyphytes and herbivores that usually occur when using long line. This innovative culture method is considered cheap and labor extensive although the economoc feasibilty is still unknown. This research was conducted in Katobengke Village, Betoambari District, Baubau City. The method used in this research was a case study using horisontal net farmes in the village. The data obtained were analyzed using Net Present Value (NPV), Revenue Cost Ratio (R/C), Internal Rate Of Return (IRR) and Payback Period (PBP). The results of the feasibility analysis of the NPV positive 342.031.587, with an interest rate of 12,5%, the value of R/C Ratio> 1 (1,28), IRR 25% and PBP for 3.9 years were obtained. The present study indicated that the cultivation of seaweed using Horizontal Net in Katobengke Village is feasible to be further developed.
