Abstract

This study examines the influence of leadership, organizational culture, and work environment on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) at PDAM Tirta Giri Nata, Cirebon City. Using the purposive sampling method, this study selected participants based on certain criteria. Primary data were collected through questionnaires, and data analysis was carried out using validity and reliability tests, as well as multiple regression analysis with SPSS version 20. The findings of the study show that leadership and organizational culture have no significant effect on OCB, while the work environment has a positive influence. This study was limited by a sample of 89 employees out of 224 employees, because data collection was carried out at the end of the year when company activity was high, and many employees were doing external assignments. In addition, this study only focuses on PDAM Tirta Giri Nata Cirebon City, which may limit the generalization of research results. Further research should explore the contexts of other organizations to improve their implementation. This study contributes to the existing literature by examining the combined effects of leadership, organizational culture, and work environment on OCB in the context of public utility companies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership and work-life balance on employee performance at PT Pan Putra Samudra Cirebon. The research method used is an associative quantitative approach with data collection techniques through a Likert-scale questionnaire to 145 respondents who are company employees. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) to test the validity, reliability, and relationships between variables. The results show that transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a t-statistic value of 5.582 and a path coefficient of 0.378. In addition, work-life balance also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a t-statistic value of 3.989 and a path coefficient of 0.315. Simultaneously, both variables are able to explain employee performance with an R-square value of 0.353, which is included in the moderate category. This indicates that inspirational leadership and balance between work and personal life are important factors in improving employee performance. Thus, companies are advised to develop transformational leadership styles and work-life balance policies on an ongoing basis.

Abstract

Abstract Background. The dynamics of labor regulation reform need to be analyzed for the benefit of the community in general and workers/laborers in particular. Aims. Since the implementation of Law No. 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation and Government Regulation No. 35 of 2021 concerning Fixed-Time Work Agreements, Outsourcing, Working Time, Employment Relations and Rest Time, and Termination of Employment, there have been deletions, updates, and additions to articles related to labor law. Methods. In this study, normative juridical research is applied, which emphasizes the analysis of legal products such as laws and regulations but still pays attention to the reality in society related to the problem to be discussed. Result. This study reviews regulatory updates, including an analysis of Fixed-Time Work Agreements (PKWT) rules in the Job Creation Law. The provisions of PKWT have changed, namely, workers/laborers whose contract period has been completed are entitled to compensation money or severance pay. Conclusion. This is a new thing, so this study aims to analyze in a normative juridical manner the provisions for providing compensation or severance pay, starting from the distribution of the amount to the sanctions for the company if it violates it. Implementation. Many entrepreneurs still do not implement the law. Sanctions must be applied, namely, administrative sanctions such as written reprimands, restrictions on business activities, temporary suspension of part or all of production equipment, and freezing of business activities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of work-life balance and technology readiness in improving employee engagement among PNM employees in the Cirebon region. The study employed a quantitative explanatory approach with a survey method involving 100 respondents selected through purposive sampling, specifically employees actively involved in technology-based work. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), including evaluation of the measurement model and the structural model. The results showed that work-life balance had a positive and significant effect on employee engagement (β = 0.419; p < 0.05), while technology readiness had a more dominant influence (β = 0.470; p < 0.05). The R² value of 0.741 indicates that both variables explain 74.1% of the variation in employee engagement. Effect size (f²) analysis demonstrated a strong contribution from both variables. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of work-life balance as a psychosocial resource and technology readiness as a structural resource within the Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) framework. Theoretically, this research enriches human resource management studies, while practically it provides implications for microfinance institutions to strengthen work-life balance policies and digital competencies to increase employee engagement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work motivation and work discipline on the performance of Auto2000 Cirebon employees, both partially and simultaneously. The study used an associative quantitative approach with a population of 250 permanent and contract employees of Auto2000 Cirebon, and a sample of 152 respondents determined through proportionate stratified random sampling. Primary data were collected through a Likert scale questionnaire (1–5) compiled based on 30 indicators of work motivation, work discipline, and employee performance variables, while secondary data were obtained from the company's internal reports and relevant previous studies. Data analysis was carried out using the PLS-SEM method with SmartPLS 4, through testing of the outer model (convergent validity, discriminant validity, and reliability) and inner model (multicollinearity, R-square, goodness of fit, and hypothesis testing). The results showed that work motivation had a negative and significant effect on employee performance with a path coefficient of -0.713 and a p-value of 0.000, while work discipline did not have a significant effect on employee performance with a p-value of 0.289. Simultaneously, work motivation and work discipline explained 48.6% of the variation in employee performance (R-square = 0.486), with the remaining 51.4% influenced by other variables outside the study model. These findings indicate an anomalous phenomenon in which the form of motivation applied has the potential to cause work pressure or burnout, suggesting that companies need to evaluate the design of their motivation systems and consider other factors such as work stress, job satisfaction, and leadership style.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of work ethic, work culture, and work-life balance on employee productivity at Trusmi Group. As employee productivity represents a critical determinant of organizational competitiveness, particularly in retail and creative industries characterized by dynamic operational environments, understanding the factors that enhance workforce performance is essential for sustainable business success. Employing a quantitative research approach with a causal research design, data were collected through structured questionnaires using a Likert scale from 109 employees selected through simple random sampling from a population of 150 employees. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques with IBM SPSS Statistics, supported by validity, reliability, and classical assumption testing. The findings reveal that work ethic, work culture, and work–life balance each exert a positive and significant influence on employee productivity. Employees demonstrating stronger work ethics, operating within a supportive organizational culture, and experiencing a healthier balance between professional and personal responsibilities tend to exhibit higher levels of productivity. Furthermore, the three variables collectively contribute substantially to explaining variations in employee productivity, highlighting their complementary role in enhancing workforce performance. These results underscore the importance of fostering a productive organizational environment through the promotion of strong work values, a positive workplace culture, and policies that support employees’ work–life balance. The study contributes to the human resource management literature by providing empirical evidence on the multidimensional factors that drive employee productivity within the retail and creative industry context.
