Abstract

Abstract

The era of digital disruption poses serious challenges for the world of education, particularly in shaping the character of students based on Islamic values. This study aims to analyze strategies for internalizing Islamic values in character education, with an emphasis on curriculum integration, the use of Islamic technology, role models (uswah hasanah), and the habit of religious activities. The research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study from various primary and secondary sources, including relevant empirical research results. The results of the study show that, first, the integration of Islamic values into all subjects has been proven to be able to foster students' spiritual awareness without being instructional in nature. Second, the use of Islamic technology and Sharia-based digital literacy can be effective means of increasing learning motivation while instilling ethical awareness, with teacher competence being a key factor for success. Third, the example set by teachers and parents (uswah hasanah) is an important strategy in fostering Islamic character, in line with social learning theory which emphasizes the role of behavioral models. Fourth, the habit of religious activities such as congregational prayers, tadarus, and other spiritual activities serve as a moral filter that protects students from the negative influences of digital information. Thus, the strategy of internalizing Islamic values in character education must be carried out comprehensively through

Abstract

Human Rights is a discourse that has several orientations on issues around humanity. One of the elements in the formulation and ratification of human rights in this law is to guarantee that every individual has freedom of will and action in their lives. However, the desired orientation of freedom in this formulation experiences several problems, including confusion in understanding the meaning of freedom itself, many of the world's scientists provide a variety of different perspectives on the meaning of the discourse. In addition, the aridity of religious elements is also felt in the formulation of human rights, so it is necessary to understand aspects of human freedom from several perspectives, such as Islam and Buddhism, two religions that have a concept of humanity and a philosophy of several elements related to this concept. Islam and Buddhism have two concepts related to the freedom orientation above, Insan Kaamil in Islam and Bodhisattva in Buddhism. These two things will be observed with a theological approach and comparative method so that basic conclusions will be obtained on the concept of man and freedom in the two religions and an analysis of the relationship between the concepts of freedom in Islam and Buddhism.

Abstract

This article aimed to offer a closer comprehension concerning Judaism in the work of Abū al-Fath Muhammad ibn ’Abd al-Karīm ibn Ahmad al-Shahrastānī’s (d. 1153) work in the study of religions, al-Milal wa al-Nihal. Employing content and document analysis methods, this research goes over the framework of Comparative Theology, advancing further perspectives and considerations of Islamic-Jewish relations built within medieval Islamic literature. This research concluded that the employment of Comparative Theology as a framework led to an enhancement of reading the content of al-Milal wa al-Nihal¸ involving a novel procedure to develop the dialogue between Islam and other religions through the schema of ‘Commitment’ and ‘Openness.’ With a particular reference to the research question offered, this research was able to grasp a deeper yet broader cognition of the relevance of Comparative Theology as a cutting-edge perspective concerning the discussion of Sēp̄er Yəṣīrā, Tanakh, aséret ha-dvarím, and Joshua continued leadership in Judaism about Islam, which, as such, provided an extensive discussion of the study of Islam and Other Religions, particularly on Jews-Islam theological encounters.
