Abstract

Perkembangan informasi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari tidak dapat dipisahkan dengan kehadiran teknologi. Perkembangan teknologi untuk sekarang memberikan dampak yang sangat besar kepada ilmu komunikasi dan juga jalur komunikasi itu sendiri yang terjadi diantara individu. Dengan adanya perkembangan teknologi informasi, secara langsung atau tidak langsung telah memberikan perubahan perilaku pada diri seseorang. Proses komunikasi antar pribadi juga dipengaruhi banyak oleh adanya perkembangan teknologi informasi. Kehidupan nyata di tengah sosial masyarakat juga terkena dampak dari teknologi informasi, salah satunya dalam konteks kehidupan beragama. Teknologi informasi dalam implementasinya di kehidupan masyarakat berpengaruh banyak terhadap kelangsungan kegiatan manusia dalam menjalankan ibadah agamanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis perubahan perilaku dengan lahirnya perkembangan teknologi informasi dalam konteks kehidupan beragama. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Hasil pembahasan dari penelitian ini ada beberapa fenomena yang mempunyai perubahan perilaku dalam konteks beragama. Fenomena dakwah yang selama ini dkenal dengan komunikasi tatap muka dapat dilakukan secara digital yakni menggunakan fasilitas internet sehingga orang dapat menyaksikannya di media sosial dan tidak secara tatap muka. Metode pembelajaran pendidikan agama juga sudah mempunyai perubahan, seperti proses belajar e-learning yang dapat dilakukan ke anak-anak dengan menggunakan compact disc (CD) atau aplikasi digital lainnya sehingga proses belajar dapat diulang-ulang sampai bisa dan tentu tidak menggunakan metode belajar konservatif dimana guru dan murid bertatap muka secara langsung. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah perubahan perilaku dalam kehidupan beragama telah menggeser beberapa aspek yang selama ini telah dilakukan dikarenakan adanya perkembangan teknologi informasi.

Abstract

The role of human resource management can look good if the company strives for employees to have a positive impact on the company and have productive performance. Puri Khatulistiwa hotel, 2019-2021 experienced a decline that was influenced by several variables in employee performance levels. The method used in this research is a quantitative method with a descriptive. Sampling by taking the entire population of 40 people or census techniques. Data analysis techniques used descriptive analysis tests, classic assumption tests consisting of normality tests, heteroscedasticity tests, multicollinearity tests, linearity tests, multiple linear regression analysis, multiple correlation analysis, and the coefficient of determination. The results showed that the descriptive analysis stated that Employee Performance was in a Good category, Work Motivation was in the Enough category, Work Discipline was in the Enough category, and Physical Work Environment was in the Fairly Comfortable category.

Abstract

This research paper explores the role of business incubators in higher education at a university in West Java, focusing on the review of supporting and barrier factors. The study adopts a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to gather comprehensive data. The findings highlight the importance of supporting factors such as access to resources, mentoring and expertise, networking opportunities, and funding support. Conversely, barrier factors include lack of funding and resources, limited access to mentoring and expertise, ineffective networking opportunities, institutional and policy constraints, and cultural and societal factors. The study provides valuable insights into optimizing the role of business incubators in higher education, emphasizing the need for adequate resources, effective mentoring, networking opportunities, supportive policies, and a favorable entrepreneurial culture.

Abstract

Self-esteem is an important aspect of adolescent self-development. In unfavorable conditions, adolescents who have low self-esteem tend to easily feel inferior, insecure, and prone to psychological problems. This service aims to increase awareness of the importance of self-esteem in adolescents in Arjasari Village through community service programs. The method used is a participatory approach involving youth as active participants in program development. This program includes group discussion activities, training and education about self-esteem, and the formation of support groups that aim to increase self-confidence and develop self-potential in adolescents. The results of this service show an increase in awareness of the importance of self-esteem in adolescents in Arjasari Village. This is reflected in the increased participation of adolescents in group discussion activities, the higher the level of self-confidence of adolescents, and the more active participation of adolescents in social and community activities.

Abstract

Self-esteem atau harga diri merupakan aspek penting dalam perkembangan diri remaja. Dalam kondisi yang kurang baik, remaja yang memiliki self esteem rendah cenderung mudah merasa minder, tidak percaya diri, dan rentan mengalami masalah psikologis. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran pentingnya self esteem pada remaja di Desa Arjasari melalui program pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan partisipatif yang melibatkan remaja sebagai partisipan aktif dalam pengembangan program. Program ini mencakup kegiatan diskusi kelompok, pelatihan dan edukasi tentang self esteem, serta pembentukan kelompok dukungan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan rasa percaya diri dan pengembangan potensi diri pada remaja. Hasil dari pengabdian ini menunjukkan peningkatan kesadaran pentingnya self esteem pada remaja di Desa Arjasari. Hal ini tercermin dari peningkatan partisipasi remaja dalam kegiatan diskusi kelompok, semakin tingginya tingkat kepercayaan diri remaja, dan semakin aktifnya remaja dalam berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan komunitas.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan e-commerce memberikan peluang besar bagi Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) untuk bersaing secara global. Namun, temuan dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar UMKM menghadapi kendala dalam mengadopsi teknologi ini, mengakibatkan keterbatasan dalam memanfaatkan potensi e-commerce. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, Tim Inkubator Bisnis Universitas INABA mengambil langkah proaktif dengan melakukan pendampingan terhadap 50 UMKM asal Cililin selama 5 hari. Pendampingan dilakukan melalui serangkaian kegiatan, termasuk pembekalan keterampilan fotografi produk, pengenalan alat-alat digital, penulisan deskripsi produk yang menarik, pendaftaran pada platform e-commerce, dan simulasi transaksi online. Meskipun terdapat kendala dalam penguasaan teknologi dan akses keuangan, kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan UMKM dalam menjalankan bisnis online. Temuan dari pelaksanaan pendampingan mencakup berbagai kendala seperti keterbatasan kecakapan digital, masalah logistik, dan keprihatinan terkait keamanan data. Dengan pemahaman mendalam tentang hambatan ini, diharapkan upaya pendampingan semacam ini dapat memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam memperkuat daya saing UMKM di dunia e-commerce, membuka peluang baru, dan mendukung pertumbuhan ekonomi lokal.

Abstract

Development is needed to manage existing resources well. Empowerment activities aim to help the community achieve social and economic prosperity. One potential empowerment strategy is to build the tourism sector according to potential in the social, economic and cultural fields so that it has implications for increasing the usefulness of resources for all parties involved in it, both government and society. Through tourism at the tourist attractions in Cibiru Wetan Village, the industry will develop more rapidly with the goal to be achieved, namely programs that are beneficial to the community, the community is involved starting from the planning, implementation, management, monitoring and evaluation process, as well as maximizing resource potential. ) owned, whether human (society), natural (natural potential) or economic (budget funds or donations) resources. Apart from that, tourist villages offer new experiences, living at one with rural nature, breathing fresh air, far from pollution and noise, experiencing and being involved in local community activities, in the sense that tourists don't just see the beauty of nature, but can live in it. Tourists can fully experience and enjoy the natural and social culture of the village. The stages of the service method are (1) Problem analysis, (2) Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with partners to determine the priority scale, (3) Training and Mentoring, (4) Development of Infrastructure, (5) Monitoring and Evaluation and Program Sustainability. The target output of this activity is, in addition to increasing the skills of partners, also publication in the SINTA 3 National Journal, West Java Tribune Mass Media and publication of video content of the implementation of the activity as well as additional output in the form of IPR. The service technology readiness level is at level 2 leading to level 3. The results of the activities are: increasing the knowledge and skills of partners through training and mentoring, fulfilling the development of infrastructure, and establishing university and village partnerships.

Abstract

In today's highly competitive higher education landscape, the increasing number of universities offering similar programs has intensified the competition for prospective students. As a result, students have become more selective in choosing their educational institutions. To attract the interest of prospective students, universities need to differentiate themselves through effective marketing messages and strategies. This study focuses on Universitas INABA and its efforts to communicate its unique values and advantages in terms of curriculum, facilities, faculty, and learning environment. The research begins with market analysis and identification of a target group of prospective students with similar needs and characteristics. Following market segmentation, Universitas INABA determines key messages to convey to these prospective students, emphasizing academic excellence, modern campus facilities, industry partnerships, and career development support. The selection of communication channels includes an informative and appealing university website, direct interaction through social media platforms, and participation in educational exhibitions. Effective marketing communication plays a vital role in building a positive brand image, increasing awareness and brand awareness, as well as boosting enrollment numbers. Continuous evaluation and improvement are essential for the university's marketing strategies. Data and feedback from prospective students, current students, and alumni are collected to evaluate the effectiveness of the marketing efforts. This research provides insights into the development and implementation of marketing strategies in higher education institutions, with implications for student recruitment and institutional success.

Abstract

Proyek "Sleeping Bag Teacher" yang melibatkan sukarelawan dari Indonesia dan Thailand dalam pengajaran siswa di Uthai Thani, Thailand, menghadirkan tantangan komunikasi lintas budaya yang signifikan. Artikel ini menganalisis hambatan komunikasi dalam konteks proyek tersebut dengan fokus pada perbedaan dalam etika komunikasi, aksen, konteks komunikasi, norma-norma nonverbal, dan persepsi hierarki. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan sukarelawan dari kedua budaya serta observasi dalam lingkungan pengajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan etika komunikasi mempengaruhi cara menyampaikan kritik dan umpan balik. Aksen dan intonasi berdampak pada pemahaman pesan, dengan perbedaan dalam pengucapan bahasa Thailand dan Indonesia menjadi hambatan utama. Budaya konteks tinggi dan konteks rendah berpengaruh pada interpretasi pesan, sementara perbedaan norma-norma nonverbal memengaruhi persepsi emosi dan ekspresi. Persepsi hierarki mempengaruhi gaya komunikasi dalam tim sukarelawan. Penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya kesadaran akan perbedaan budaya dan kemampuan untuk menyesuaikan gaya komunikasi. Untuk mengatasi hambatan-hambatan ini, sukarelawan perlu memahami budaya setempat, mengembangkan kemampuan mendengarkan yang baik, dan berkomunikasi dengan sensitivitas dan empati. Dengan demikian, proyek ini dapat menciptakan lingkungan yang inklusif dan produktif, serta meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Uthai Thani, Thailand.

Abstract

English serves as the global lingua franca, facilitating communication and bridging cultural differences worldwide. Its significance in various sectors, such as business, technology, science, and media, solidifies its position as a universal means of communication. This study explores the increasing importance of English in Vietnam, particularly in major cities like Hanoi, where it plays a crucial role in business, tourism, and higher education. The focus is on Mercury Center, a prestigious language institution in Hanoi, which collaborates with foreign travelers as volunteer teachers to enhance Vietnamese citizens’ English proficiency. Using qualitative research methods, including interviews, direct observations, and literature reviews, the study assesses the impact of foreign volunteer teachers on language education in Vietnam. It reveals that students and parents highly value and trust foreign teachers for their perceived authenticity and expertise in English. These findings underscore the significance of cultural diversity in English language education. By embracing foreign volunteer teachers and creating a cross-cultural learning environment, language institutions like Mercury Center can provide a more enriching and impactful learning experience for Vietnamese students. Understanding and managing cultural diversity can lead to improved communication and contribute to the success of language education initiatives in Vietnam. The recommendation from these findings is to optimize the utilization of cultural diversity within educational institutions to enhance organizational performance, create an inclusive work environment, and improve workgroup efficiency by considering consumer preferences and needs while developing more effective marketing strategies.
