Research was aimed to find out if the counseling activities conducted positively affect the absorption of fishermen and to know the level of absorption of fishermen to the counseling activities (presentation) that have been carried out. This research was conducted in Bontang Kuala Village, Bontang City using sample method based on census (30 fishermen became respondents). The results of the analysis showed that the use of communication media (presentation) to the absorption of fishermen had a positive effect with scores of 7.86 and 9.6, respectively. The score belongs to the moderate category where the counseling activities conducted have been running well and have a positive impact for fishermen in Bontang Kuala Village although not yet fully maximized.

This Research aim to grasp the role of extension in empowerment the POKLAHSAR “Swakarya Bersama” and to grasp the rate of empowerment on POKLAHSAR “Swakarya Bersama”. This research was conducted in Tanjung Tengah Regency of Penajam Paser Utara since January to February 2017. This research census sampling method which is the number of samples was 10 people. The data used are primary and secondary data, primary data was collected using a survey method through a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using qualitative research method, that are descriptive and Likert Scale measurement method using 4 indicators of the role of extension and 4-level indicators of empowerment.The results of this study indicated that the average scale for 4 indicators of the role of extension worker is 37,9, which means that the role of extension worker is highly influence on POKLAHSAR “Swakarya Bersama” ‘s empowerment. Meanwhile, the average scale of POKLAHSAR member empowerment for 4 empowerment level indicator is 56,7, it could be categorized as high level.

This research is carried out to determine consumers fish favourite in Dwi Madiun restaurant and to investigate relationsip between price and consumers income to fish choice in Dwi Madiun restaurant. Simple random test is used in this experiment, which individuals is chosen randomly and entirely by chance if see fit as data source. All data was analysed by chi-squared distribution analysis. Result shows consumers tendency to choose favourite fish (milkfish, pomfret, white snappers, red snappers, and chicken), consumers tend to choose the same fish for their meal. There are no significant relationship between price and consumers income to costumers fish choice in Warung Dwi restaurant.

The purpose of the research is to identify the utilization of mangrove ecosystems by local society and analyzing economic value of mangrove ecosystems. Data were analyzied with the consumer surplus, travel cost method, benefit transfer, contingent valuation. The result obtained that the largest proportion of the value of mangrove ecosystems is the utilization value of turism as a direct benefit of Rp733.228.963.974,00 per year. While the largest proportion of the value non utilazion of mangrove ecosystems is the value of inheritance Rp 97.114.286,00 per year. Total of value of mangrove ecosystems of 22 hectare in Karang Rejo, Tarakan City North Borneo is Rp734.506.142.763,00 per year.

The aim of this research was to find out the public perception on the sales as well as to analyze the consumer satisfaction toward the fresh fish marketing at Rawa Indah Market in Bontang Municipality.This research was conducted in 5 months time, starting from the beginning of the year 2015, located at Rawa Indah Market in Bontang Municipality. The sampling method used was purposive sampling. The findings of the research showed that based on needs recognition, the highest number of the respondents revealed that the decision making process of the consumer’s purchase was due to the proximity of the residence to the market. Therefore, the biggest advantage sought by the consumers was the close distance. The highest frequency of information searching was from the sigh board. Moreover, for the alternative evaluation, the highest frequency of respondents revealed that consumers chose to visit Rawa Indah Market because the fish there was fresh. For the consumer’s decision, the highest frequency of respondents showed that their visits were done every afternoon on daily basis. Furthermone, for the marketing result, the highest frequency showed that consumers would keep on buying even though there was a 10 - 40 % price hike. They would come again and their satisfaction level ‘satisfield’. The attributes that should be maintained would be types of fish, accessibility to the location, seller’s responsiveness, friendliness and politiness, safety and convenience, parking areas and market facilities. On the other hand, the attributes which should be improved would be seller’s communication skills, market arrangement and service process. From the CSI calculation, a value of 4.97 % was abtained, which means that consumers visiting Rawa Indah Market in Bontang Municipality was not satisfied enough by the existing attributes. Based on the findings, it could be concluded that the people in Bontang was not too satisfied. Therefore, the related parties or the related government institutionsthat manage Rawa Indah Marketing in Bontang Municipality should improve their quality.

This research aims to find out the financial prospect of goldfish (Cyprinus carpio L) hatchery business development in the future. Results of research showed that goldfish (Cyprinus carpio L) hatchery business development in the pond is able to give financial benefits for the farmers in the future so that this development is financially feasible to continue. The hatchery business development is in the economic scale. The marketing areas of goldfish breeding include Loa Kulu, Sanga-sanga, Samarinda City, Balikpapan, Bontang and Sangatta.

This study aims to identify and describe forms The Community Perception Against Port Fishes Suppliers in Selili Samarinda and role of Port Fishes Suppliers in Selili Samarinda for increase the community’s knowledge to presence a Port Fishes Suppliers in Selili Samarinda. The method used in this thesis is a survey. The type of data used is primary and secondary type and the data analysis technique is a quantitative analysis. The Port Fishes Suppliers Selili Samarinda located in Selili Vilage, District of Samarinda Ilir, in Samarinda City which is among the central marketing of fishery supplies both both marine fish and freshwater fish which is strategically located in the path of Mahakan River landing activities. The Port Fishes Suppliers Selili Samarinda has important role in the fulfillment of fish stocks for the community in Selili. However, it is not felt for the people themselves directly because people prefer to deal directly with retailers of fish / fish sellers in the market. This is proven by the public perception of the existence of PPI is only 15 respondents out of 40 respondents are aware PPI Selili in Samarinda.

This study aims to identify and learn forms about characteristic of fishery resources in Sepatin Village, Anggana District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. The method used in this thesis is a descriptive. The type of data used is primary type. Data collection techniques that writer use is the field research and the data analysis technique is quantitative analysis. The experiment was conducted for six months (January – July 2015). Sampling was done by a non-random based on consideration by 21 respondents. The results describe forms of Bajo Fishing Community in Sepatin Village, Anggana District are majority education level are elementary school, Islamic religion, age range 25-68 years, as well as the generally small-scale fisherman. The local livelihoods knowledge related of fishery resources use seen from they beliefs such as: Palace village tradition, food supplies (doko), pray for new boats (maddoa salama), ethical rules such as did not sail on friday, did not go to sea when the weather is bad or funeral ceremony was begun. Used fishing gear such as nets, lines, trawls, spear. To determine the extent of the fish are usually seen from sea water clarity and the birds flies above the water surface and conducted fishing activities at midnight and afternoon.

The research aims to find out the comparison of fishermen incomes using stationary lift net and operating them inshore and offshore and to find out the factors affecting to the incomes of the stationary lift net fishermen in Muara Badak Ilir. The research was conducted from December 2013 to May 2014, in the research location of Muara Badak Ilir Village, Muara Badak Sub-district, Kutai Kartanegara District. The sample consisted of 30 fishermen taken by using disproportionate stratified random sampling method. The data were collected using direct observation and interview to the respondents. The results of research showed that the difference of average incomes between inshore and offshore stationary lift net fishermen was Rp. 9.284.424,- for each respondent. The factors of catches, operation durations and the locations of stationary lift net had a significant effect to the income of the stationary lift net fishermen.

This research aims to know about marketing channel and function of marketing is measure by margin, eficiency and marketing benefit of the catch marine fisheries. Average revenue of wholesaler is Rp 30.000.000,00 by the trip, average revenue of agent is Rp 24.561.111,00 by the month and average revenue of retailer is Rp 9.998.900,00 by the month. Average benefit of wholesaler is Rp 17.843.431,00 by the trip, average income of agent is Rp 13.051.319,00 by the month and average income retailer is Rp 5.565.650,00 by the month. Total margin is Rp 16.865,00 and Marketing Efficiency is 56 % for Scads (Decapterus russelli) and 59 % for Eastern Little Tunas (Euthynus sp).
