Abstract

Water is an important source for life in the world. If we lost it, many problems will arise. The location of this research is in Kerobokan area, Badung Regency, and some areas of Tabanan Regency. This research was done by observing and interviewing about 41 people, consisting of Villa’s, Hotels and Restaurants owner (investor), domestic and international tourists, staff of PDAM and Government, and farmers. This research was conducted from January- February 2011, with some students from IREST Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne and some students from Udayana University. From the data of this study, then Tabanan and Badung were being compared, so it can be seen the similarities and differences in water issues that occur in each region. Then, the development of the infrastructure has reduced the farming field and in Tabanan, in dry season, water can be a serious problem. The actors in that conflict are between farmers, between farmers and Government (PDAM), and between farmers and investors (Villas, Hotels and Restaurants owner). The type of the conflict in Tabanan and Badung is the lack of water and water pollution.

Abstract

Temajuk village is one of the leading tourist attractions in West Kalimantan. It bridges Indonesia and Malaysia. With its rich culture and breathtaking scenery, Temajuk village is indispensably for promoting tourism in West Kalimantan. This study examines the participants’ perception of the tour guide training held in Temajuk Village. The training involved English lessons since the international tourists also visited Temajuk village through Telok Melano, Indonesia.  Employing qualitative study, using interview and observation, this study establishes the reasons and expectations underpinning the respondents in joining the training. The responses are presented into the perceived benefits from the participants’ point of view, tour guide training and English language learning, and participants’ expectation. It is advised that this kind of training, especially in the border area can be held to since it is fruitful and prominent.

Abstract

Perigi Limus memiliki potensi wisata yang relatif besar. Sumber daya alam yang dimiliki Desa Perigi Limus diantaranya adalah Hutan Lindung Gunung Senujuh, aliran Sungai Sambas Besar yang membelah wilayah desa menjadi dua dan lahan pertanian dan perkebunan. Potensi atraksi wisata di Desa Perigi Limus mendorong pemerintah dan masyarakatnya untuk mulai membangun dan mengembangkan bidang kepariwisataan. Langkah pengembangan tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan membangun bentuk pariwisata alternatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi potensi pariwisata alternatif di Desa Perigi Limus. Tahapan penelitian terdiri dari persiapan, hingga pelaporan dilakukan selama delapan bulan mulai dari Januari sampai Agustus 2022. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan studi literatur, pengamatan lapangan dan penggunaan tools pembangunan partisipatif FGD untuk membahas tentang sebaran sumber daya alam, tata guna lahan, kalender musim dan potensi atraksi wisata alternatif. Data dianalisis secara partisipatif bersama masyarakat dan secara teoritis oleh peneliti berdasarkan teori ilmiah. Hasil dan analisis penelitian menunjukkan potensi wisata alternatif di Desa Perigi Limus terdiri dari Edu-Ekowisata, wisata budaya dan kreatif, Agrowisata, wisata, Kuliner, wisata kehidupan liar, dan wisata petualangan.

Abstract

Desa Sebubus merupakan salah satu desa wisata Kabupaten Sambas yang ditetapkan berdasarkan Surat Keputusan Bupati Sambas Nomor 33/DISPARPORA/2022 pada tanggal 24 Januari 2022. Hampir di setiap dusun desa ini memiliki daya tarik wisata, karena desa ini memiliki berbagai potensi dan daya tarik wisata, yang terdiri dari wisata alam dan wisata budaya. Untuk menunjang keberlangsungan bidang kepariwisataan, di desa ini juga terdapat beberapa kelompok sadar wisata atau yang disingkat dengan Pokdarwis. Ada enam Pokdarwis yaitu Kalilaek & Green Leaf, Tanjung Api, Batu Bejamban, Pantai Selimpai, Wahana Bahari, dan Kampak Indah. Meskipun demikian, anggota Pokdarwis masih belum mengoptimalkan potensi dan daya tarik wisata yang ada dalam menciptakan usaha di bidang pariwisata, khususnya dalam merancang paket wisata. Berangkat dari hal ini, didapat permasalahan yang dihadapi Kelompok mitra adalah belum mampunya masyarakat menyusun tour itinerary, menyusun penghitungan paket tour, menentukan target pasar serta belum optimalnya pemasaran paket tour. Diperlukan upaya pendampingan dalam membuat paket Tour sebagai peluang usaha baru bagi masyarakat dan mempermudah wisatawan dalam menikmati keindahan dan budaya di Desa Sebubus. Tim Pelaksana PKM memberikan solusi untuk memberikan pendampingan pengelolaan paket tour melalui pelatihan penyusunan itinerary, penghitungan paket tour mendesain brosur paket tour serta metode yang tepat dalam pemasaran paket tour. Mitra yang terlibat dalam kegiatan PKM ini adalah POKDARWIS, perangkat desa, dan pengelola akomodasi di Desa Wisata Sebubus yaitu pengelola homestay. Diharapkan masyarakat dapat mengeksplorasi kesempatan membuka usaha yang bernilai ekonomis guna meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat Desa Sebubus. Hasil dari kegiatan PKM ini adalah tersusunnya beberapa Paket Tour yang dapat ditawarkan kepada wisatawan.

Abstract

Performing cultural products in the form of festivals is one of the tourism products that provides significant impacts in increasing regional tourism attractiveness. Festivals are held in many places in the world, including Sambas Regency, one of which is through the Muare Ulakan Night Festival. Muare Ulakan Night Festival 2023 is a competition and parade event for ornamental boats along the Sambas River, especially on the path in front of the Alwatzikhoebillah Palace to the waterfront area. This activity was attended by 38 participants of ornamental boats and ships. Although this activity has the potential to be a popular tourist attraction, based on observations and interviews with organizers there are several things that are still a problem in its development. This research aims to identify internal and external factors in Muare Ulakan Night Festival and find its development strategy as a tourist attraction in Sambas Regency. Data in this study were collected from observation, documentation study, and interviews with seven informants purposively. By using SWOT analysis, several weaknesses and opportunities were found which were used as a starting point to formulate a development strategy for the Muare Ulakan Night Festival as a tourist attraction.

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out in Tumuk Manggis Village, Sambas Regency, from September to October 2024, with the aim of introducing a new superfood-based food product, namely keke noodles, as the village's superior product. This product utilizes taro and moringa leaves, which are known to have high nutritional content. This training involved the local community in the noodle-making process, which includes the stages of preparing ingredients, processing the dough, forming noodles, and boiling. The main ingredients used are steamed and mashed taro, blended moringa leaves, as well as wheat flour, eggs, vegetable oil, and simple spices. The noodle-making process is carried out practically and simply, so that people can easily practice it at home. The final result of this training is taro and moringa leaf noodles that can be modified into various dishes. This training is expected to be able to increase the economic potential of the village by developing local products that are highly nutritious and have sales value. The superfood keke noodle product is expected to be an alternative healthy food that can compete in the market, while improving the welfare of the people of Tumuk Manggis Village. This collaboration also emphasizes the importance of utilizing abundant local food ingredients as an innovation for superior products. This activity ended with gratitude to the Tumuk Manggis Village government for its support and collaboration in implementing this training.

Abstract

Desa Setalik merupakan salah satu desa yang memiliki potensi dalam pengembangan hasil pertaniannya. Hasil pertanian Desa ini yaitu singkong, keladi dan hasil pertanian lainnya yang melimpah. Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan ibu-ibu PKK di Desa Setalik, Kecamatan Sejangkung, Kabupaten Sambas, dalam mengolah ubi dan keladi menjadi produk kripik yang bernilai ekonomi. Pendekatan yang dilakukan dalam pengabdian ini terbagi kedalam 5 tahapan yaitu proses perizinan, pemilihan bahan baku, proses pemasakan, perhitungan ekonomi dan evaluasi.  Kegiatan ini melibatkan 15 peserta yang tergabung dalam ibu-ibu PKK dan difasilitasi oleh dosen dari Politeknik Negeri Sambas. Dalam pelatihan ini, peserta diberikan materi serta praktik langsung pembuatan kripik ubi dan keladi, mulai dari persiapan bahan, teknik pengolahan, hingga pengemasan produk. Hasil dari kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta mampu memahami dan mengaplikasikan teknik pembuatan kripik dengan baik. Diharapkan kegiatan ini dapat menjadi langkah awal dalam mengembangkan usaha rumahan yang berkelanjutan serta meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat setempat.

Abstract

Sambas Traditional Weaving Craft is one of Indonesia's cultural riches and heritages that has high artistic and cultural value. Sambas Traditional Weaving Craft is a source of livelihood for the local community, as well as an important representation of cultural identity and historical heritage for the Sambas Malay community. This study aims to identify the characteristics of Sambas Cual Weaving and identify challenges in its preservation efforts. The approach used is qualitative research with data collection methods through observation, semi-structured in-depth interviews, and secondary data collection (document studies). Informants were selected purposively. The results of the study show the unique characteristics of Sambas Cual Weaving, which include aspects of its distinctiveness and differences, manufacturing techniques, motifs and patterns as well as the texture and color of the fabric. The main challenges faced in efforts to preserve Sambas Cual Weaving include: ageing craftsmen and increasingly rare skills, declining interest from the younger generation, challenges in economic feasibility and sustainability, and previous knowledge and skills that are not perfectly inherited.

Abstract

Temajuk Tourism Village in the tail of Kalimantan is one of the popular tourist destinations in West Kalimantan. The main tourist attraction in Temajuk Village is the beach. But apart from the beach, this village has many potential natural and cultural tourism attractions and has a strategic location because it borders Malaysia on land and at sea. The relatively increasing number of visits raises new problems, namely the lack of human resources for tour guide services that are able to provide satisfaction and memorable experiences for tourists. The purpose of this mentoring is to prepare local tour guide resources who are able to lead, guide, and tell stories to tourists either on a group or individual scale. This mentoring method uses experiential learning, which means that in addition to being given material, participants will also do simulations to get real experience. As a result, the resources of tour guides, which previously only came from Pokdarwis members, have now increased with the joining of youth organisation members. The ability to guide groups and tell stories to tourists has been obtained and participants are also able to make local tour packages.
